“Have you been following this ‘Equality Act?’” a Catholic priest I know asked me as I passed him on the icy sidewalk early Sunday afternoon. “A bit,” I answered. “You can be sure anything that comes out of D.C. does the opposite of its name.” “Check it out today,” he replied. “It could pass as early as this week, and it’s very, very troubling.” The two of us went our ways, carefully navigating the icy bricks back to the safety of our homes. The monsignor was right, of course. If the Equality Act passes, he won’t be safe in his home much longer, nor will women be safe in their sports, nor their restrooms and locker rooms, the nail salons they work in, nor even shelters from homelessness and abuse. The act, which the House is expected to pass for the second time in nine months on Thursday before sending it to a now-Democratic Senate, opens up swinging on Christian (as well as most religions’) concepts of morality in marriage, sex, and identity. It would strike biological sex from the 1964 Civil Rights Act, replacing it with “sexual orientation and gender identity.” Belief in traditional marriage, the act would legislate, is a specific example of illegal discrimination.

On January 26, the Treasury Department’s Office of Foreign Assets Control issued General License No. 1A, which permits Americans to continue acquiring shares in certain companies associated with “Communist Chinese Military Companies,” known as CCMCs, until May 27. The previous deadline, set by the Trump administration, was January 28. The General License delayed a portion of the application of President Trump’s landmark Executive Order 13959, issued November 12, 2020. EO13959 stopped investors, subject to wind-down provisions, from purchasing or possessing shares in any company designated a CCMC. In short, Trump ordered Americans to stop financing China’s military, the People’s Liberation Army. […] The Biden administration is allowing Wall Street to use the cash of “scores of millions, up to 160 million Americans” to “fund ICBMs targeting their families, to fund concentration camps in Xinjiang.” Most Americans will have no idea their retirement and other savings are being used to finance their own destruction…. financing China’s war on America.

The low prices throughout 2020 also crimped Russia’s energy-dependent economy, leading to greater unrest in Moscow. Now, a month into the Biden presidency, crude has jumped to $65 a barrel and U.S. gasoline to $2.72 per gallon due to a variety of geopolitical events. Former President Barack Obama told his podcast co-host, Bruce Springsteen, that he would have liked to pursue reparations for slavery as part of his presidential agenda, but that the “politics of white resistance” made the issue a “non-starter.” Obama and Springsteen recently launched a podcast together where the pair discuss how to pursue “unity” among Americans and forge friendships across party, class, and racial lines. The podcast is billed as two friends from polar opposite backgrounds coming together — Springsteen from a working-class New Jersey upbringing and Obama from a childhood spent in Hawaii and later, in Chicago — but both Springsteen and Obama are now wealthy Democrats.

Then we checked Marjorie Taylor Greene’s Twitter feed because we have heard she traffics in misinformation, CNN told us. But nothing there. Next we called our many friends in the tightknit ‘intel community.’ Could Vladimir Putin be putting this stuff out there? The Proud Boys? Alex Jones? Who is lying to America in ways that are certain to make us hate each other and certain to destroy our core institutions? Well, none of the above, actually. It wasn’t Marjorie Taylor Greene. It was cable news. It was politicians talking on TV. They’re the ones spreading disinformation to Americans. Maybe they’re from QAnon.

Man, this Corona pandemic is a real headache. Who’d have thought a year ago we’d all be working from home, trying to get our kids to attend class via Zoom, huh? Crazy world we live in. I sure hope it’s over soon. It will be when everyone’s vaccinated. In the meantime, while we wait, here’s a funny, cutesy video to watch about the time a teacher ‘accidentally’ dropped off the Zoom call in the middle of class and all the kids start to chatter, before one of them notices the session is being recorded. “We’re toast.” another observes. Kids do say the darnedest things. Except, that kid is right. The next generation is toast. This isn’t a funny video of kids being sweet, it’s social engineering in action. This is how you create a serf generation: you sit them down in front of the computer for hours every day, then condition them to believe that they’re being watched at all times, even when there’s apparently no one around. This is actually pretty terrifying.

O’Neil: Biden HHS Nominee Defended Subjecting Kids to Chemical Castration
Pennsylvania Health Secretary Rachel Levine (born Richard Levine), President Joe Biden’s pick for assistant secretary of health at the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), has long defended experimental transgender “treatments” for children. Levine, who identifies as transgender, has refused to say whether or not he has undergone medical interventions for his own gender identity, telling The Washington Post in 2016 that such “treatment” is a private matter. Levine, a pediatrician who worked at Penn State Hersey Medical Center from 1993 to 2015 and who teaches pediatrics and psychology at Penn State College of Medicine, has given lectures on how to perform sex changes on children since at least 2012, The National Pulse reported. In 2014, Levine argued that adults should give children latitude to choose their genders. He coached adults, “try not to force them one way or [the] other.”
