Alliance Defending Freedom on the passage yesterday, in the U.S. House of the Democrat Equality Act which is everything but equality: Our nation’s laws should respect the most fundamental freedoms of every American citizen. But the deceptively titled ‘Equality Act’ hides behind promises of toleration and empowerment, while its policies threaten real harm to women and children, radically alter our legal landscape, and discriminate against religious communities. This legislation would deny female athletes fair competition in sports, ignore women’s unique health needs, and force vulnerable girls to share intimate spaces with men who identify as female. The Equality Act also punishes and marginalizes people who hold decent and honorable beliefs about marriage or dare to believe the scientific evidence regarding the physical differences between men and women.

Chip Roy (R-TX) condemned the House passage of the Democrat Equality Act which has nothing to do with equality: This body being led by Democrats is trampling the rights of the people in the name of ‘equality,’ in the false name of ‘equality,’ Our federalist system allows us to agree to disagree, and we should be able to do that. But if this Democratic Congress, and if the Democratic leadership, and if this White House continues to trample the rights of the people of the United States, then it is they who will be destroying this Union. We are going to keep fighting it in the courts and beyond.

Sunshine is antiseptic, and exposes all of those lurking in the shadows. Trump’s coming address will, in effect, send Biden and the Democrats scurrying for new ground. The tables will be turned on the anti-America Democrats with the return of Donald Trump as MAGA leader.

Black: A Post-Trump Era? Not So Fast
These are only the opening days of what is supposedly the post-Trump era, and whether the country has really seen the last politically of Donald Trump is a matter that depends upon Donald Trump. The principal Trump-hate outlets are still pleased to refer to him as “the disgraced former president” but, of course, he has not been disgraced and there is no indication that he will be. All of the Democrats and about a third of Republican officeholders are engaged in an elaborate and strictly observed pretense that Trump was a freakish and horrifying interruption of the normal, serene, bipartisan devolution of events in Washington. Like a dreadful meteor, he came and he went, pushed into the instantly forgotten past by a united effort of civilized Americans. This is only the first and most wishful phase of the Biden Administration, which, although it has shown no open recognition of the fact, owes its existence to the support of a substantial number of traditional Republicans offended by the former president’s radical ideas and comparatively uncouth political manners. They more than balanced the sharp increases President Trump achieved for the Republicans in votes from African Americans and Latinos, along with traditionally Democratic working-class voters.

Newman: Leaked Emails Confirm UN Gave Names of Dissidents to CCP
Leaked emails prove that, contrary to United Nations denials, UN human-rights officials did in fact give the names of Chinese dissidents to the communist regime in Beijing before those activists were set to testify in Geneva against the Communist Chinese Party’s abuses. In fact, it appears from the leaked documents that the practice of handing over names of Chinese dissidents to the dictatorship was viewed as a “usual practice” by all involved. The whistleblower told The Epoch Times that it continues to this day, despite UN denials. Chinese communist authorities used the names received from the UN to prevent the dissidents from leaving China. At least one dissident identified by the UN and detained by the CCP before leaving for Geneva, Cao Shunli, died while in detention. [NOTE: President Biden recently dismissed the Chinese Communist Government genocide of Uighur as a “cultural norm”]

Hayward: Report: China Subjected U.S. Diplomats to Anal Coronavirus Tests
An unnamed U.S. State Department official said Wednesday that Chinese officials required an unspecified number of American diplomatic personnel to submit to anal testing for Chinese coronavirus. The Chinese Foreign Ministry on Thursday denied any such testing had occurred. The unnamed State Department official told Vice News about the alleged anal swabs Wednesday: . . . […] The Washington Post reported on February 17 that some U.S. personnel stationed in China “have complained about being subjected to anal swab tests for the coronavirus by Chinese authorities, said U.S. officials.” A State Department official said all “reasonable options” were being evaluated to preserve the “dignity” of U.S. officials “consistent with the Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations.” [NOTE: China now says the anal COVID swab tests were given “in error.”]

Cleveland: 5 Things You Need To Know About The Extremist ‘Equality Act’ House Democrats Just Passed
On Thursday, the House of Representatives passed the so-called Equality Act by a vote of 224 to 206. While Democrats have marketed this legislation as a simple civil rights law designed to protect LGBTQ people from discrimination, it is far from that. The statutory language instead provides for an extreme remaking of all aspects of society, destroys the promise of equality for women, and threatens religious liberty and the privacy rights of all Americans, especially children. The proposed law also will upend state and federal protections of the unborn—yes, the Equality Act is about abortion too. Here are the five facts about the Equality Act Americans need to know. 1. The Equality Act Is Deceptively Simple The statutory language of the Equality Act seems simple enough, with the proposed law adding “sexual orientation” and “gender identity” to the list of protected classes in the five major parts, called titles, of the Civil Rights Act of 1964. Specifically, the Equality Act would add “sexual orientation” and “gender identity” to: Title II, which addresses discrimination in public accommodations; Title III, which covers public facilities; Title IV, which regulates public education; Title VI, which requires nondiscrimination in federally assisted programs; and Title VII, which prohibits discrimination in employment. “Sexual orientation” and “gender identity” would also be added to the Fair Housing Act, the Equality Credit Opportunity Act, and Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972. 2. The Devil Is in the Details Adding “sexual orientation” and “gender identity” to the list of protected classes may seem straightforward enough, but the proposed law does more—much more. On Thursday, the New York Times bent its efforts to the task via a Gail Collins column that starts to “nag” Biden about gun control:. . . That’s not cute. It’s scary. For that reason, here’s a very short primer explaining why Americans cannot allow the federal government to seize their guns, to set up the framework for seizing their guns at some time in the future, or to otherwise limit their existing Second Amendment rights: One: Without the Second Amendment, there is no Bill of Rights. As we’re learning, the Bill of Rights is a leash on the government and has meaning only if the government accepts that leash. If it throws off the leash and flexes its police power, the only recourse is to yield or fight — and you can’t fight without weapons. Incidentally, let me be clear: We have not reached the physical fighting point. Thankfully, we are still a civil society with multiple civil, legal, and non-violent means for asserting our rights. Resisting now through these lawful mechanisms will ensure continued peace in America. Still, an armed society is a society respected by its own government. Two: There is no greater killer in the world than the government. In the last 59 years, . . Three: The only recourse people have against a rampaging government is arms. The Founders, . . .
