House Democrats, led by Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.), have indicated that they are still weighing whether or not to unseat lawfully sworn-in Iowa Republican Rep. Mariannette Miller-Meeks, overturning the Hawkeye State’s certified results. The leading newspaper in Pelosi’s home state is urging Democrats’ not to go forward with the plan that would certainly cause the rift between the parties on Capitol Hill to widen and stir discord among voters. Instead, according to the Los Angeles Times, Democrats should “accept defeat graciously.”

Greenwald: The U.S. Intelligence Community, Flouting Laws, is Increasingly Involving Itself in Domestic Politics
A report declassified last Wednesday by the Department of Homeland Security is raising serious concerns about the possibly illegal involvement by the intelligence community in U.S. domestic political affairs. Entitled “Domestic Violent Extremism Poses Heightened Threat in 2021,” the March 1 Report from the Director of National Intelligence states that it was prepared “in consultation with the Attorney General and Secretary of Homeland Security—and was drafted by the National Counterterrorism Center (NCTC), Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), and Department of Homeland Security (DHS), with contributions from the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) and the Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA).” Its primary point is this: “The IC [intelligence community] assesses that domestic violent extremists (DVEs) who are motivated by a range of ideologies and galvanized by recent political and societal events in the United States pose an elevated threat to the Homeland in 2021.” […] . . . there are real and important legal and institutional limits on the authority of the intelligence community to involve itself in domestic law enforcement, or other forms of domestic political activity, that seem threatened here, if not outright violated. Parler Alerted Feds to Violent Content Ahead of January 6 Riot
Parler, the free speech social media platform maligned by political partisans and their media associates has responded with a letter to the House Oversight Committee which is currently investigating the company for failing to “police” its content before the January 6th riot. The social media company reports it alerted the FBI more than 50 times of posts indicating the violent action at the Capitol posted on its site. The Wall Street Journal reports: . . . […] Although the Democrat-controlled Oversight Committee is targeting Parler, an independent study by Forbes revealed that in the over 200 charging documents filed by DOJ in connection with the Capitol riots, 73 included references to post on Facebook, 24 referenced YouTube, and 20 referenced Instagram. In contrast, there were only 8 references to Parler. In addition, the FBI thanked Parler for helping law enforcement before and after January 6, reports the Journal.

The unidentified pilot called Bay Area residents “goddamn liberal f*cks,” according to live audio from Air Traffic Control (ATC). The rant begins around the twenty-minute mark.[…] San Jose International Airport’s air traffic controller scanner picked up the pilot’s broadside of Bay Area residents, The Hill reported Thursday. A Southwest Airlines spokesman confirmed the unidentified man works for the airline, and that they are “fully addressing the situation internally,” SFGATE reported.
