As most people have seen in the last decade with guys like Brennan, top CIA people are similar to the State Department lefties, and the Pentagon upper echelon is full of careerists who are looking for a good retirement gig lobbying or consulting for enterprises looking to deal with the enemy. And they want to avoid being associated with any military intervention that doesn’t have bipartisan and multilateral backing. Despite the formal media line, the State Department tends to be more pro-intervention than the Pentagon brass. While the Pentagon was obstructionist, as usual, the CIA was more obstructionist.
Though basically supportive of the idea of killing Soleimani, some CIA officials worried about the larger Iranian response. The CIA wasn’t “afraid of the Iranians,” but believed the killing “could create more problems than it solves,” recalled a former agency official. […] Though “basically supportive”, CIA officials were pushing the idea that this was a conspiracy to start a war with Iran. That’s an interesting definition of “basically supportive”. Meanwhile, as Biden stocks his administration full of Iran stooges, the terror state might be plotting to kill former Trump admin officials.

Abolishing tax exemptions, subsidies, and federal contracts for academic and professional institutions that provide the ideological lifeblood of the prevailing cultural hegemony is an imperative and practical step. Detroit Police Chief James Craig is set Monday to officially retire and announce a bid to challenge Michigan Democratic Gov. Gretchen Whitmer. Craig has told The Detroit News that he has discussed a potential candidacy with state and national Republican officials. Ron Weiser, the state’s Republican Party chairman, called him a “fine candidate.” “I’m a lifelong public servant,” Craig said. “I want to continue to serve.”

Neff: Maricopa County’s 2020 Election Audit Continues As Political Antics Ramp Up
The rhetoric about audit activities even prompted an unusually politicized claim by Maricopa County Sheriff Paul Penzone, a Democrat, about the risk to public safety if the Senate obtains the Election Department’s routers that have been subpoenaed. Penzone says he is worried about potential threats to public safety and to the local, state, and federal officers who protect the public. His comments simply echo similar statements put forth by other county officials who say its Election Department’s computer activity is interconnected via a router with all the Sheriff’s Office computer activity and other county departments. Such unsubstantiated claims are incredulous, according to computer experts.

She has no background in physics, the science of energy, or the energy sector. She has never held a position as a scientific administrator. […] As head of the Office of Science, Berhe would be asked to choose strategic directions for DOE-funded science. […] Berhe’s Soil Biogeochemistry Lab at UC Merced strives, according to its website, to “create a dynamic, diverse, and equitable STEM community that represents the public.” Scientists do not mirror the public’s demographics, however, thanks to yawning academic skills gaps. Nor is it the mission of science to be representative of population groups; its sole mission is to advance knowledge. Berhe’s lab, however, is developing and testing “sexual harassment bystander intervention training programs . . . that incorporate experiences of diverse women,” as part of a National Science Foundation consortium. Her lab recommends readings on racism and offers tips on writing the “diversity, equity, and inclusion” statements that are increasingly required of academic science hires. Expect such statements, thinly disguised euphemisms for announcing oneself as “diverse,” to become mandatory for a DOE science job or grant.

Anytime revolutionaries at the outset of their enterprises seek exemption from the consequences of their own ideology, we know their plans will end badly for everyone else. […] So Americans, conservatives especially, fear that the once-revered FBI can become analogous to the Stasi, the once indomitable CIA after 2015 began emulating the KGB, and the federal prosecutor has become a vindictive Inspector Javert. And just when you think they are crazier for such fears, another couple is rousted out of bed by agents for supposedly being at a riot they were not at, or a federal attorney is on TV, virtue signaling how the law can be warped to go after “them.”

This comes as welcome news as local jurisdictions and governments worldwide seek to establish policies which would enforce mandatory vaccinations in order for citizens to participate fully in society.
