Pennsylvania Republicans got a big win earlier this week after voters decided to make it easier for the state legislature to limit the emergency powers of the governor — in this case, Democratic Gov. Tom Wolf, WHYY-TV reported. The decision came through a pair of ballot measures voters narrowly passed, the station said. […] . . . one of the constitutional amendments voters approved gives lawmakers the ability to end emergency orders with a simple majority vote, the station said. The second measure limits the governor’s emergency orders to 21 days.

Daily Wire News: Lobbyist For ‘Foreign Partners Of Russia’s Nord Stream 2’ Donated To Biden Campaign, Pro-Biden Super PAC: Report
A new report from the Center for Responsive Politics, a non-partisan and independent firm that tracks money in U.S. politics, alleged that a lobbyist for the foreign partners of Russia’s Nord Stream 2 pipeline gave thousands of dollars to President Joe Biden’s campaign and a pro-Biden super PAC.
The news comes after Axios reported this week that the Biden administration was going to waive sanctions on a company and its CEO that is building Russia’s pipeline to Germany.

Flanders: Joe Biden Plans To Revive School Rules Punishing Kids According To Skin Color
In his continuing effort to appease the far left, President Biden is looking at re-implementing race-based school discipline policies from the Obama administration. Based on the assumption that differences in suspension and expulsion rates along racial lines must indicate racism, the U.S. Department of Education issued guidance that led schools to implement discipline quotas based on the color of a student’s skin. As a result of this guidance, suspension rates fell across the country. This policy was reversed under President Trump, but the current administration is ready to bring them back. To claim differences in suspension rates by racial group are wholly the result of racism is based on shaky evidence at best. As has been pointed out by Heather MacDonald, once prior student behavior is accounted for, the effect of race on suspensions largely disappears, according to research published in the Journal of Criminal Justice. […] Horror stories abound nationwide of teachers who face students emboldened by a lack of consequences for misbehavior. Nearly 6 percent of teachers nationwide reported that they had been assaulted, according to a 2018 study. That’s one in twenty teachers.
