The senators sent the letter after finding out the Justice Department “could not locate 59 of the 96 phones used by Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s team,” according to Grassley’s website. The two senators wrote to the DOJ’s Office of the Inspector General in September 2020 regarding allegations that cell phones assigned to “multiple people on then-Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s investigative team were ‘wiped’ for various reasons during [the Russia investigation].”

Do we need another performance-art sermon on America’s innate unfairness from a Hollywood billionaire such as Beyoncé, Jay-Z, or Oprah Winfrey—or a multimillion-dollar-per year Delta Airlines or Coca-Cola CEO? During the 1980s cultural war, the Left’s mantra was “race, class, and gender.” Occasionally we still hear of that trifecta, but the class part has now increasingly dropped out.

Blankley: Texas AG to Biden: Public health laws must be enforced at border
A federal court heard oral arguments this week in a case filed by Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton against the Biden administration demanding that it enforce public health immigration law at the Texas-Mexico border. Briefs were also filed Tuesday with the U.S. District Court of the Northern District of Texas, Fort Worth Division. “Under President Trump, the federal government utilized a body of laws known as Title 42 to rapidly expel illegal aliens at the border in order to preserve Americans’ and Texans’ public health in the midst of the Covid pandemic,” Paxton’s office said. “Yet President Biden abandoned significant portions of Title 42 (and other related federal immigration laws), resulting in an explosion of illegal immigration at the border and an exponential increase in the costs Texans must bear in public resources. Mittlestadt: Freedom Phone: ‘Uncensorable’ device that protects user’s privacy, political voice from Big Tech
Erik Finman, the youngest Bitcoin millionaire, has created the Freedom Phone, which protects users’ privacy while promoting free speech and preventing censorship. The 22-year-old founder told the John Solomon Reports podcast that with the Freedom Phone he was “basically creating something that is ‘unbannable,’ that is ‘uncensorable,’ that isn’t reliant on, you know, the Apple or Google app stores or … left-wing infrastructure.” The Freedom Phone has “its own app store, which has all the apps your phone normally has, plus banned ones as well,” Finman said. “And we feature apps that promote free speech and promote patriotism. And you know, we put a huge focus on privacy features, as well.”

In North Carolina, health officials are using a far-Left community organizing group to go to COVID-shot-hesitant areas to “educate and encourage” people to get a shot. If someone indicates they’ll get a COVID shot, the organizers, who usually register people to vote for Democrats, call an accompanying health department injector to administer the shot on the spot. […] Those people “educating and encouraging” and calling in injectors are actually radical community activists who probably got a grant from Uncle Sugar as a way of keeping them paid until the next election cycle.

What’s amazing is that not only are Democrats pushing to add a massive amount of money to our already unsustainable spending obligations, but they are actually planning to expand Medicare — the program that is the single biggest driver of the longer-term debt problem. Without changes, the program is expected to see its annual spending more than double over the next decade. In ten years, Medicare is projected to surpass Social Security as the largest program in the government and absorb nearly one out of every three tax dollars collected. Though Medicare is in dire need of reform, Democrats say they want to add dental, vision, and hearing benefits to the program. This is such an incredibly irresponsible idea that even Canada, often touted as a generous socialist system, does not include vision and dental care in its universal care program. The idea that there is an urgent need to make our Medicare system more expansive than our socialist neighbor’s is absurd on its face, but it is an even worse idea when considering fiscal reality. For Bloomberg alone, a Business Insider analysis found that Bloomberg’s emissions-heavy private jets took more than 1,700 trips and emitted at least 10,000 metric tons of CO2 over a four-year period from August 2016 to August 2020. Simply put about these “green” preachers, is that if something is good for these wealthy people, it should be equally as good for other people, but these hypocrites want everyone else to take the electric bus to reduce emissions and help fight climate change.
