Benson: Trump says Secret Service blocked him from joining Jan. 6 march to the Capitol
Former President Donald Trump said Wednesday that the U.S. Secret Service blocked him from making good on his pledge to join supporters marching on Jan. 6, 2021, from the White House to the Capitol ahead of that day’s deadly riot. The former president told The Washington Post that the “Secret Service said I couldn’t go. I would have gone there in a minute.” A spokesperson for the Secret Service did not immediately reply to an email seeking confirmation that the then-president’s protective detail kept him from joining his supporters at the Capitol that day. In a wide-ranging interview at his Mar-a-Lago Club in Florida with Post reporter Josh Dawsey, Trump spoke about the Jan. 6 insurrection, repeated claims of a stolen election and weighed in on the possibility of a 2024 presidential campaign. On at least a dozen occasions throughout their conversation, Dawsey wrote, Trump blamed the events of Jan. 6 on House Speaker Nancy Pelosi.

After a good bit more rambling, Obama got around to asserting that in order to limit the spread of what he called “toxic information,” it would be “reasonable for us as a society to have a debate, and then to put in place a combination of regulatory measures and, uh, industry norms, uh, that leave intact the opportunity for these platforms to make money, but say to them that, there, there, there’s certain practices that we are not, that we don’t think are good for our society and we’re gonna discourage.” There goes the First Amendment. […]  If the government had regulatory measures in place controlling “disinformation,” we might still not know about Hunter’s laptop, or the 10% he set aside for “The Big Guy” from his influence-peddling, or how the COVID virus originated, or about a host of other issues. Nowadays the guardians of acceptable opinion are flagging as “disinformation” any assertions that men are men and women are women and that one cannot turn into the other.

Turley:  The Stanley Kowalski Defense: Durham Seeks to Force the Clinton Campaign and DNC to Turn Over Evidence in Sussmann Case
It is always good to have a “lawyer acquaintance” when things get tough. In “A Streetcar Named Desire,” the character Stanley Kowalski famously assures to Blanche DuBois that he has “a lawyer acquaintance” who will protect her. The same appears to be true for the Hillary Clinton campaign and the DNC. Special Counsel John Durham is fighting to get access to evidence related to his prosecution  of former Clinton campaign lawyer Michael Sussmann. The documents are being withheld by the Clinton campaign, the Democratic National Committee (DNC), Fusion GPS, and Perkins Coie. There are 1,455 withheld documents, but only 18 reportedly involved a lawyer. However, they are arguing that their “lawyer acquaintances” shields their communications from disclosure to the Special Counsel. Sussmann’s defense recently took a body blow from Durham after the Special Counsel revealed that Sussmann did not just conceal the role of the Clinton campaign in pushing a debunked Russian collusion allegation but put that same alleged lie into writing. In both a text message and the later meeting, Sussmann is accused of lying about not representing any client despite billing the time to the campaign.Sussmann faces a single charge under 18 U.S.C. 1001 for lying to the FBI in a meeting with the then-FBI General Counsel James Baker.

Kelly: Another January 6 Narrative Goes Boom
How does a mob “illegally storm” the Capitol building when police let them in? That is the latest narrative-shifting question the media wants desperately to avoid after a federal judge on Wednesday found a January 6 defendant not guilty for his conduct during the protest at the Capitol that day.
Matthew Martin was arrested in Santa Fe, New Mexico on April 22, 2021; he later was charged with the four most common misdemeanors related to the Justice Department’s prosecution of Capitol protesters: entering a restricted building, disorderly conduct, violent entry, and parading in the Capitol building.
Those petty offenses comprise the overwhelming majority of criminal charges against the nearly 800 or so January 6 defendants. More than 150 people have pleaded guilty to the “parading” charge—many have been sentenced to a few months in prison. […]  It’s unlikely this latest revelation will stop Joe Biden from continuing to promote these lies, as he appears especially fond of using the talking point of blaming January 6 for Russian aggression in Ukraine. “[How] would you feel if you saw crowds storm and break down the doors of the British Parliament, kill five cops, injure 145—or the German Bundestag or the Italian parliament? I think you’d wonder,” Biden said during a speech on March 3. “Well, that’s what the rest of the world saw. It’s not who we are. And now, we’re proving, under pressure, that we are not that country. We’re united” in taking on Russian President Vladimir Putin.

Vadum: Leftist Judge Kills Election Integrity Laws
A radical Arkansas judge in the mold of Jeremiah Wright struck down four new common-sense election integrity laws approved by the Republican-controlled state legislature, declaring the statutes unconstitutional last month. The state is appealing the ruling. Pulaski County Circuit Judge Wendell Griffen is, like Wright, also a critical race theory-friendly, black nationalist, African dashiki-wearing preacher. He is also a diversity consultant, profiting from race-mongering and dividing people. He founded his firm Griffen Strategic Consulting PLLC, in Little Rock in 2008. […]  Griffen issued a formal, 86-page order (pdf) on March 24, that at times reads like a platitude-laden, over-the-top essay by a high school student trying a bit too hard to impress a communist history teacher. The injunction (pdf) issued by Griffen indicates that election integrity law-killer Marc Elias’s D.C. law firm, Elias Law Group, represented Arkansas United in the lawsuit. The election laws Griffen struck down were a step down the road to fascist dictatorship, the judge suggested near the end of the order as he inexplicably pulled an irrelevant Martin Luther King Jr. quotation out of thin air: . . .

Hubbard: Appeals court revives Biden’s federal employee vaccine mandate
The court ruled two to one in favor of the mandate and said that under the Civil Service Reform Act, which focuses on federal employees’ workplace disputes, the lower court did not have the jurisdiction to issue an injunction to halt the vaccine mandate.

Jarvis: Cleveland Clinic COVID-19 vaccination policy prevents dad from donating kidney to 9-year-old son
As we continue to see COVID-19 restrictions eased statewide, local hospital systems are still staying firm on safety policies. The Cleveland Clinic developed a new safety protocol last year that requires transplant patients and living donors to be fully vaccinated against the virus before going into surgery.
That’s now affecting 9-year-old Tanner Donaldson from Wadsworth and his family. His dad, Dane Donaldson, is a nearly perfect match, but he can’t donate because he’s unvaccinated. “Tanner’s a third grader. Personality-wise, he’s like every other kid, very happy. Just a fun kid all the way around, plays basketball. He’s now into lacrosse. At this age, there’s not a lot of contact. So he’s good there,” said Donaldson. “Medically, a little bit different than most children. He was born with a birth defect called posterior urethral valves. It’s a valve that blocks urine from exiting the body.” Tanner was born with one kidney and right now it functions at between 18-20%. He and his parents are managing it now, but he’ll eventually need a transplant, something his parents have known and been preparing for since the day he was born under the guidance of doctors at the Cleveland Clinic. […]  Donaldson believes he and his wife have natural immunity from the virus since they’ve both had it, and he presented their reasoning to Clinic doctors during a sit down meeting last year. He said they wouldn’t budge and since then they haven’t responded to requests from their lawyer for religious exemptions.

Sundance: There Is Something Very Troublesome About the Western Govt, Post-COVID, Rules-Based Order
While the western media quickly jumped from the COVID crisis to the Ukraine crisis, in the background of current events there is a lot of activity amid western government that does not look very democratic. The word ‘autocracy‘, with all its variants, has been used a lot frequently by western government politicians as they attack the ideology of Russia, China and essentially every national leader who does not join their “rules-based order” club.  There is so much linguistic repetition from the same western leadership, it’s impossible not to see this autocracy narrative as some form of talking point that stemmed from some G7 or NATO collaboration meeting. It does not seem coincidental the new catch phrases of “autocracy” vs “rules-based order” surfaced at the tail end of the COVID crisis, when Build Back Better shifted from a talking point into an actual set of western legislative constructs  perhaps intended to codify the emergency powers those same officials deployed.

Californians received a reprieve from a bill that would force workers to get COVID-19 vaccines, yet the state’s residents still face proposals to make similar mandates permanent in other areas of life. […] But Wicks and her fellow members of the self-proclaimed Vaccine Work Group introduced six other bills that would turn California into a medical dictatorship. The all-Democratic group includes Assembly Members Cecilia Aguiar-Curry, Evan Low and Akilah Weber, and Senators Josh Newman, Richard Pan, and Scott Wiener. Three weeks into the Legislature’s current session, the Vaccine Work Group went to work. On Jan. 20, Wiener and Pan introduced Senate Bill 866, which would enable teens aged 12-18 to get COVID-19 vaccines without their parents’ knowledge. Pan followed Jan. 24 with SB 871, which requires children to be immunized against COVID-19. On Feb. 7, Weber introduced AB 1797, which forces doctors and pharmacists to send vaccination information on children to the state’s immunization registry. That information must be grouped by race and ethnicity. Wicks joined Aguiar-Curry, Low and Weber to introduce AB 1993 on Feb. 10. Four days later, Low presented AB 2098, which would allow the state to suspend the license of any doctor who spreads “misinformation” about COVID-19 or vaccines. Pan finished the onslaught Feb. 18 with two bills. SB 1464 would require police and sheriffs to enforce public health orders or lose state funding. SB 1479 would force all schools to test teachers, students and staff members for COVID-19.

Keating: ‘Major housecleaning’ needed after Biden team waged info war using unverified intel, expert says

Weeks before the Russian military invaded Ukraine, a chilling story began to appear in a number of American media outlets. Unnamed sources in the Biden administration warned that Vladimir Putin was preparing what they called a false flag attack. The point of the attack was to be a pretext for war with Ukraine. The suggestion was that Putin would stage a mass killing and then accuse the Ukrainians of doing it. So the Pentagon warned Americans to expect “very graphic propaganda,” including footage of “corpses and actors that would be depicting mourners in images of destroyed locations, as well as military equipment in the hands of Ukraine or the West.” It was a pretty complex story, but the media accepted all of it at face value and then repeated it uncritically. […] But for weeks, the administration continued to release more of what it called declassified intelligence about Russia’s plans. Officials said that Putin was about to use chemical weapons in Ukraine. Joe Biden himself repeated that story and that’s why, Biden told us, we needed to send another $14 billion in tax dollars to the Ukrainian government. Everyone in Washington accepted this at face value and the U.S. government sent the money. But Biden was not telling the truth and weeks later, the administration admitted that. According to NBC News, multiple Biden administration officials have confirmed that there is “no evidence Russia has brought any chemical weapons near Ukraine.” […]  NBC described the lies the Biden administration had told as a “bold and so far successful strategy.” And then NBC sent out one of the many intel agency puppets it employs to let us, the viewers, know we should be grateful the Biden administration is lying to us.

In a previous article, I explained that “progressivism is a criminal mentality.” By progressivism, I mean every political philosophy that regards itself as “revolutionary,” or “transformative,” that describes itself as socialist, communist, fascist or jihadist – or that believes “the moral arc of the universe that bends towards justice.” The belief that history is marching towards justice is a cult ideology refuted by the mass genocides of the modern era, which were  carried out by Marxists and Nazis. Wellington: Why I wrote ‘No’ across my pediatrician’s questionnaire
I recently took my twelve-year-old for his annual check-up. The process was rather routine, except for two distinct differences. First, he needed three vaccinations, all of which he received and second, I wrote “No” across a form that the nurse handed him without my permission. You see, the nurse bypassed me and handed my son two pieces of paper and a pen. She asked him to answer two questions on one and then the entirety of the next. She then proceeded to leave the room. Not once did she ask me to look at the forms prior to handing them to my son nor even question whether I wanted him to complete them. It left me annoyed and feeling disrespected. My son proceeded to answer the questions (the first two of which he couldn’t even understand). This was met with my words “Don’t answer anything until I take a look.” So he stopped and I read. And what I read had nothing to do with my son’s physical health at all and everything to do with facets of his life quite personal to him and me, all of which fall outside of my pediatrician’s jurisdiction, in my book. So I picked up the pen and wrote the word “No” across both forms and called it a day. […]  The blurred lanes are dumbfounding. Combine that with the vulnerability and naivety of children. Parents are now forced to remain “on-guard” at all times simply to keep their kids out of harm’s way… or so they feel.

[…]  If you wanted to spend more of a typical American family vacation budget of $1,000-$2,000 (or, if we’re comparing to ridiculous Disney, five or ten), you could do two-day passes (or one day at the theme park and one at the waterpark), spend the extra for the Timesaver passes and premier parking, eat in the park, and stay overnight or for the weekend nearby. By the way, I liked the gift shop, too! One of the better ones I’ve seen. There was so much to do and see, we could have spent several more days there and still done something new all day, every day.

As Lia Thomas — the University of Pennsylvania’s “transgender” swimmer who is famous for being a “transgender” swimmer — continues to dominate his sport by being a man competing with women, the father of one of those women says UPenn has “breached trust” by forcing his daughter to share a locker room with Thomas, where she was exposed to parts of him that prove he is not a woman.  […]  That Thomas routinely exposes his male genitals to females in the locker room is already known to authorities. As the Washington Examiner reported back in February, two women’s groups sent letters to city and school authorities addressing the illegality of Thomas’ actions. Last week’s report showed that in March, nearly 90 percent of adults hospitalized for Covid were vaccinated. And OVER 90 percent of deaths were in the vaccinated: . . .[…]  AS OF THIS WEEK’S REPORT THE BRITISH GOVERNMENT IS NO LONGER PROVIDING THESE CHARTS. Zindilka: UK to Build 8 Nuclear Power Plants, Expand Offshore Oil Production in Energy Security Push
Prime Minister Boris Johnson’s long-awaited energy strategy will include a major shift towards nuclear power and open up oil exploration in the North Sea in a tacit admission that so-called green energy sources will not be enough in order to secure energy security. The government said that it wants to see a “significant acceleration of nuclear” with the aim of producing 24GW of energy from nuclear by the year 2050, or about a quarter of the nation’s projected electricity demand. The strategy said that it will come with the creation of a new governmental body, dubbed “Great British Nuclear”, and will see an investment of a £120 million ‘Future Nuclear Enabling Fund’ launched later this month to facilitate the “safe, clean, and reliable source of power”.
