But Roe isn’t the only terrible ruling the Court has delivered. There are many more, and they are integral to sustaining the current rotten regime. If Roe is on its way out, here are seven more rulings that President Trump’s Supreme Court should jettison next. Regents of the University of California v. Bakke

The first glaring constitutional error that the Court has a chance to fix is this case from 1978. The 14th Amendment to the Constitution explicitly bars any state from denying a resident the “equal protection of the laws,” while Title VI of the 1964 Civil Rights Act explicitly prohibits racial discrimination for programs and entities receiving federal funds (which includes almost all schools in the country). So, when the University of California rejected former Marine Allan Bakke’s application to medical school, while admitting far-less-qualified minorities under a racial quota system, he sued. Inexcusably, the Court ignored both the 14th Amendment and the text of the Civil Rights Act. While the Court struck down . . . […] United Steelworkers v. Weber What Bakke did for universities, Weber did for the private sector. Title VII of the 1964 Civil Rights Act very explicitly bans discrimination based on race or sex at any employer or labor union with more than fifteen employees. Laboratory assistant Brian Weber sued when he was denied admission to a training program that gave equal slots to whites and blacks, despite whites being far more numerous at the company. Lower courts correctly ruled that this racial discrimination was illegal, but the Supreme Court reversed, and preposterously found that, when the Civil Rights Act banned racial discrimination, it actually allowed it. The Court justified this naked contradiction on the grounds that . . . […] Griggs vs. Duke Power Company This decision may be the single most important precedent that must be overturned in America. Everything tyrannical about modern wokeness flows from this 1971 ruling and the calamitous legal doctrine it created: Disparate impact. Prior to Griggs, legislation barring racial and other types of discrimination was presumed to cover deliberate discrimination. If a company refused to hire black applicants, that was racial discrimination, but if it simply required a high school diploma, or a college degree, or passing a job skills test, that was not. Griggs threw all that out the window. Duke Power Company . . . Kelo vs. City of New London . . . Wickard v. Filburn. . . United States v. Wong Kim Ark . . . Green v. County School Board of New Kent County . . .

Judge Amit Mehta sounded perturbed, to say the least.

The D.C. District Court judge handling numerous January 6 legal matters, including the Justice Department’s high-profile prosecution of the Oath Keepers, flatly dismissed concerns by defense attorneys that the first trial in the case will coincide with public hearings held by the January 6 Select Committee later this year. “Even if Congress is on the steps of the courthouse reading the [final] report, I am not moving the September trial,” Mehta warned during a status hearing last week for nine Oath Keepers accused of seditious conspiracy among other charges. Mehta’s outburst was telling. In any other jurisdiction in the country, a political stunt by a handful of partisan lawmakers would be widely criticized as an unfair hurdle for defendants facing trial on the same issue at the same time—especially for an exceedingly rare crime, akin to treason, for which the government is seeking life in prison. Further, any frustration would be directed at the politicians interfering in such a serious prosecution, not at defense attorneys protecting the best interest of their clients.

Mayorkas denied that the board will cause American citizens to be monitored, saying, “we, the Department of Homeland Security, don’t monitor American citizens.” That might be true. But Mayorkas went on to say the Disinformation Governance Board is mandated to provide “best practices and communicate those best practices to the operators” in agencies that do have “operational authority.” Never before has “disinformation governance” been part of the official U.S. government terminology for defending the internal security of the country.

It is being advanced by other high-profile publications as well, including the New England Journal of Medicine, the Journal of the American Medical Association, and Scientific American, which last year published articles entitled “Modern Mathematics Confronts Its White, Patriarchal Past” and “Denial of Evolution Is a Form of White Supremacy.” But this scientific aspiration faces major challenges. Science demands verification, testability, and replicability, whereas race is a social construct that can be difficult to separate from factors like class or culture, and explaining the data often remains dependent on academic theories about systemic racism. In 1940, Attorney General Robert Jackson proclaimed, “While the prosecutor at his best is one of the most beneficent forces in our society, when he acts from malice or other base motives, he is one of the worst.” There are more than just five bad prosecutors currently in office in the United States. But the following five prosecutors have earned notoriety as the worst in America based on vital criteria—public safety, fidelity to the rule of law, personal integrity, leadership, responsible innovations, community relations, office morale, and teamwork with other players in the criminal-justice system. (The list extends beyond just five individuals because some jurisdictions have suffered under the policies of multiple prosecutors.) Marilyn Mosby, Baltimore: Elected in 2014 as Baltimore state’s attorney, Mosby was one of the first prosecutors to campaign on a platform of de-prosecution, decarceration, and denouncing the police—indeed, the entire criminal-justice system—as racist. Once in office, she delivered on her promises. The results for Baltimore have been devastating. Homicides in the city shot up to 342 in her first year in office—a 38 percent increase—and have not dropped below 300 during any year of her tenure. Mosby has attacked the police relentlessly, including her attempt to prosecute six police officers in the death of Freddie Gray, which resulted in no convictions and an ethics complaint against her. She refuses to prosecute entire categories of crimes, much to the dismay of Baltimore businesses. Mosby seems to have no substantive plans for the office, instead spending her time skipping work and traveling around the country, according to an inspector general’s report. Not surprisingly, Baltimore’s population has declined by 35,000 between 2010 and 2020, as residents continue to flee the violence-plagued city.

The Satanic Temple of the United States (TST) plans to file legal challenges against any states that restrict or ban abortions, claiming that such procedures constitute religious rituals for its adherents. […] To this end, the Satanists plan to file their lawsuits under the federal Religious Freedom Restoration Act (RFRA), a 1993 law that made it illegal for state governments to interfere in religious practices without first demonstrating a “compelling interest” in doing so. TST claims that under this law, “unfettered access” to the aforementioned abortion drugs is necessary to ensure that its followers can perform ritualistic abortions without government interference.

Byrne: Second-hand fentanyl fumes threaten Seattle bus drivers

The Emerald City is going up in smoke, again. Two years after Seattle officials let the city burn during BLM protests, bus drivers say they’re facing a frightful new danger: second-hand fentanyl fumes spread by addicts brazenly smoking the deadly synthetic drug on public transportation. “The signs are, they put their head down, and start watching for the flame,” Kings County Metro bus driver Erik Christensen told KIRO 7 News. “After they inhale or ingest, they can comfortably pass out. And no one’s going to stop them.” Seattle, like New York City, rarely arrests or prosecutes people in possession of small amounts of hard drugs, even if they’re using them in public. Smoking instead of injecting fentanyl meanwhile is gaining in popularity. The result is bad news for public transportation, drivers say.

(United Kingdom) Van Maren: ‘Transgender’ males are now pushing for uterus transplants

For several years now, transgender activists have been loudly declaring that biology itself is “transphobic.” A prominent example of why Nature is bigoted is the fact that men calling themselves “transgender women” cannot get pregnant, because, despite their delusions, they do not possess the necessary equipment to conceive, carry, and birth a child. The fact that medical experts have not yet solved this problem is, according to trans activists, more evidence of how the healthcare system is also “transphobic.” Back in 2017 already, U.K. doctors with the National Health Service (NHS) were advocating more research into the possibility that wombs could be implanted into biological men, with one top doctor speculating that the medical field might only be a decade away from being able to pull this off. NHS experts added that when (or if) this became possible, biological men who desire to become female should be able to get a womb at the taxpayer’s expense. Those medical ethicists and feminists who pointed out that this was both insane and would divert badly-needed medical resources from research into diseases like cancer were told to shut up.
