Usually, the abortion issue is so difficult, because at least one side of the argument contends a baby is being killed. One side sees a human that has value and standing, while the other side tries to argue it is not human life independent of the mother. A pregnancy becomes sort of like a mole to be removed at the discretion solely of the mother, even though a man is not involved in forming a mole and the mole can never live an independent life. One side says the living thing must be “viable”, although that is not defined. Those of us who have been parents might contend that might be around the age of 25. If the standing of the baby is put on an equal legal and moral footing with the mother, the argument devolves to the discussion of whether new human life is worth the inconvenience to the mother. Oh, we all know that some contend the baby in early stages are a clump of cells. But these cell clumps cannot become asparagus, they are human cells that form a baby much earlier in pregnancy than was thought back in 1973. Janet Yellen, Secretary of the Treasury has decided to wade into the emotionally tangled abortion argument with a novel moral free view. According to her, abortion is good for the economy. A prominent economist in her own right, and the wife of a Nobel Prize-winning economist, and former Chairman of the Federal Reserve, she said this before Congress with the obvious timing of trying to urge the Senate to pass Federal abortion legislation, which it failed to do.

Why do I say that we need to lay siege to our institutions? Because of what has happened to our institutions since the 1960s. The 1960s saw the rise of new and radical ideologies in America that now seem commonplace—ideologies based on ideas like identity politics and cultural revolution. There is a direct line between those ideas born in the ’60s and the public policies being adopted today in leftist-run cities like Seattle, San Francisco, and Chicago. It would proceed not by taking over the means of production, but by taking control of education and culture—a strategy that German Marxist Rudi Dutschke, a student activist in the 1960s, called “the long march through the institutions.” This idea is traceable to Italian communist Antonio Gramsci, who wrote in the 1930s of “capturing the culture via infiltration of schools, universities, churches, and the media by transforming the consciousness of society.”

President Joe Biden’s latest appointment to an economic advisory council appeared to claim there “is nothing better than” China’s authoritarian economic system in terms of managing market chaos, lamenting “we can’t do anything since the United States is such a free country,” The National Pulse can reveal.

President Biden tapped Dominic Ng, the chairman of East West Bank, to represent the United States on the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Business Advisory Council (ABAC), comprised of a group of business leaders that advises governments on issues in the region. While speaking at the Future of Asia Conference in 2018, Ng appeared to praise the Chinese Communist Party’s authoritarian economic system, remarking “there is nothing better than that.” Ng made the admission while answering a question about the future of China’s economy and a potential crash.

Catron: Inflation: The Price You Pay for Biden’s Delusions

When the Bureau of Labor Statistics reported that inflation had risen at an annual rate of 8.3 percent in April, the White House and many news outlets made much of the minuscule decrease from the 8.5 percent rate reported for March. President Biden issued a statement, for example, that called the infinitesimal decline “heartening.” CNN ran a story titled, “US inflation slowed last month for the first time since August.” This wasn’t terribly comforting, however, considering that the inflation rate has nearly doubled since last April while real wages declined by 2.6 percent. Nor is it “heartening” to see that Biden is still in denial about the role his administration’s spending has played in igniting inflation. Here’s a typically delusional claim he made last week in response to a reporter’s question concerning how much responsibility he accepts for the inflation spike: “I think our policies help, not hurt.… Economists think that this is going to be a real tough problem to solve, but it’s not because of spending.” That claim conflicts with the opinions of most economists, including progressives like Obama economic advisor Steven Rattner, who wrote the following in the New York Times during November of 2021: . . . […] Big Oil doesn’t set the amount Americans pay at the pump. The prices you are paying for gasoline today are the result of blunders Biden committed in early 2021. He declared war on fossil fuels on his first day in office. By killing the Keystone XL pipeline and restricting access to oil and gas sources like ANWR, he incentivized energy producers to be very cautious about new investments in exploration and production. As recently as last week, his administration canceled the sale of oil and gas leases in Alaska and the Gulf of Mexico, thus signaling producers that they are still operating in a hostile political environment.

Solomon: Michael Flynn files $50 million claim against feds in prelude to lawsuit over Russia probe

In a prelude to a formal lawsuit, former Trump National Security Advisor Michael Flynn has quietly filed a $50 million claim against the FBI and Justice Department for “malicious prosecution” related to the now-discredited Russia collusion investigation. The notification, known as a Form 95 Civil Claim, obtained by Just the News, was filed Feb. 22. It names the DOJ, FBI, U.S. Attorney’s Office in Washington D.C., Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s office and the Executive Office of the President as potential defendants and alleges former President Barack Obama and the FBI had a vendetta against him that biased their actions.

“Of all of President Trump’s appointees, the Obama White House hated Flynn the most,” the filing noted as it laid out a long list of irregularities in his case it said proved political interference inside the FBI.

College Fix Staff: Johns Hopkins U. hires academic who wants to ‘destigmatize’ pedophilia

ohns Hopkins University has hired a transgender academic who had said they (the academic uses plural pronouns) want to “destigmatize” pedophilia. Allyn Walker said last November they preferred to use the term “minor-attracted person,” or MAP, in place of “pedophile” so as to “lessen the stigma.”

Walker also has a book out titled “A Long, Dark Shadow: Minor Attracted People and Their Pursuit Of Dignity” which “challenges widespread assumptions” that so-called MAPs are “predators” and “sex offenders.”
