In contrast to a narrow Trump win in 2020 and contentious and belligerent fights overturning stolen elections in court, the prospect for both Trump and the Republican party looks bright. President Joe Biden’s average approval rating has hit a record low, according to RealClearPolitics‘s aggregation of polling data. Only 37.7 percent of Americans approve of the job Biden is doing, an even lower figure than pollsters found at the end of June, when Biden became the least-popular president in U.S. history. The president’s disapproval rating, meanwhile, has risen to 56.7 percent. Former president Donald Trump’s favorability rating is 5 points higher than Biden’s, RealClearPolitics found, and fewer than 2 points shy of his all-time high. Pollsters have consistently underestimated Trump’s popularity, a New York Times report found in 2020.

This is the first clear instance of a globalist coup attempt. It would subvert national sovereignty worldwide by putting real power into the hands of an international group of bureaucrats. It has long been suspected that the authoritarian elites arisen during covid times would try to strengthen their positions by undermining nation states, and this 75th jamboree is the first solid evidence of this being true. What an opportunity then to see who is in the conspiring club. Who drafted the amendments? What was in them? Which individuals supported them or spoke out against them? […] If the WHO takes the reins on decisions about what constitutes a health crisis, and can pressure every country into a one-size-fits-all set of responses that it, the WHO, also determines, that’s bad enough. But what about if its invitation to ‘collaborate’ with countries is backed up with teeth, such as sanctions against those who demur? And what about if it then broadens the definition of ‘public health’ by, for example, declaring that climate change falls under that definition? Or racism? Or discrimination against LBTQIA+ people? The possibilities thereby opened up for running the world are endless.

A global ‘health’ empire would bring huge harms to humanity, but a lot of power and money is pushing for it. Don’t think it can’t happen.

The Jan. 6 Committee is abusing its power by asking inappropriate questions about their fellow Americans’ beliefs and associates, and publicly portraying witnesses who exercise their Fifth Amendment rights as guilty — all to put on a show trial. Later on Tuesday, the Jan. 6 Committee will hold yet another public hearing, this one purportedly to focus “on the role of extremists” in the attack on the Capitol. While the precise script for the afternoon’s proceedings remains unknown, last week Democrat Rep. Jamie Raskin previewed the committee’s plans, telling The New York Times that when public hearings resumed in July, “he intends to lead a presentation that will focus on the roles far-right groups like the Proud Boys, the Oath Keepers and 1st Amendment Praetorian played in the Capitol attack.” According to the Times, “Mr. Raskin has also promised to explore the connections between those groups and the people in Mr. Trump’s orbit.” An attorney for 1st Amendment Praetorian, or 1AP, a nonprofit dedicated to protecting free speech, spoke exclusively with The Federalist about the committee’s questioning of 1AP, the group’s founder, and another member of the nonprofit, all of whom she represents. From the framing of the questions posed to her clients, Leslie McAdoo Gordon was left with the firm impression that the Jan. 6 Committee merely wanted video capturing her clients declining to answer the questions for the purpose of impugning their character during the televised hearings.

Trump White House aide’s bid to delay case due to Jan. 6 panel hearings is denied. A federal judge on Monday eviscerated nearly all of Steve Bannon’s defenses against a charge that he criminally defied a subpoena from the Jan. 6 select committee, leaving the longtime Donald Trump ally with few options to fight the contempt of Congress case against him. U.S. District Judge Carl Nichols also denied Bannon’s bid to postpone for three months the jury trial set to open next Monday, rejecting defense arguments that such a delay was warranted due to intense media coverage around the ongoing House hearings on the Capitol siege. Bannon’s attorneys contended Trump’s sudden move to abandon executive privilege claims for Bannon should also spark a delay, but the judge rejected that as well. The Trump-appointed judge said thorough questioning of potential jurors could almost certainly resolve potential prejudice. And if it couldn’t, Nichols added, he would revisit the issue after jury selection. He’s being driven out of the shadows now, partly thanks to the US Chamber of Commerce, which “launched an extensive campaign to expose and defeat Consumer Finance Protection Bureau (CFPB) Director Rohit Chopra’s ideologically driven agenda to radically change the nature of America’s financial services industry” on June 28. No one in national politics plays the role of victim better than Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer. In a fawning 3,700-word puff piece published by the Washington Post over the weekend, reporter Ruby Cramer told the embattled governor’s self-described tale of woe: Whitmer isn’t really an ambitious political climber—the daughter of well-connected and wealthy parents, she started running for office in her 20s and was elected to the Michigan legislature at age 29—but rather a misunderstood and underappreciated champion of the people targeted because of her sex, looks, anti-Trump stance, lockdown orders, and pro-abortion views, among other unjustified reasons for “right-wing” derision. That’s Whitmer’s story, anyway. […] But the FBI-concocted plot to abduct and assassinate Whitmer remains a source of great angst for the governor even though she knew about it weeks, if not months, before the “kidnappers” were arrested. At some point during the summer of 2020, Whitmer told her family “there was going to be a story coming out soon about ‘some people plotting to kidnap and kill me.’” That disclosure, according to Whitmer, happened a few months after an anti-lockdown protest at the Lansing Capitol building in late April 2020. From there, Whitmer’s recollection of the timeline gets fuzzy, if not revelatory.

Cleveland: Dissent In WI Ballot Drop Box Victory Highlights Much Bigger Issue: Our Top Jurists Don’t Care About Election Integrity

While the court’s decision represents a (partial, as we will soon see) victory for election integrity, the split 4-3 decision and the substance of the dissent reveal that having a fair electoral process no longer “transcends any individual partisan interest” — something less than two decades ago Jimmy Carter touted as a universal truth in the bipartisan Commission on Election Reform report “Building Confidence in U.S. Elections.” […] In its Friday’s decision, the Wisconsin Supreme Court took two steps forward in addressing some of the significant defects in the state’s electoral system seen in the 2020 election. Declaring illegal the state-wide use of drop boxes and ruling it illegal for third parties to return the ballots of voters ensures that future elections in the battleground state will not be scarred with the same violations of election law. […] The steps forward, however, were but half-steps, . . . […] The Teigen decision, however, exposed a more dire problem for our country and her future: that many of the top jurists in our country care no more about election integrity than the Democrat politicians trying to sell the myth of the 2020 election as spectacularly safe and error-free.

Killian: Resistance Building against Governors’ COVID Powers

Governors who have used COVID-19 as an excuse to enlarge their executive powers through extended and expansive emergency orders may have encountered the first serious state-level roadblock by an upstate New York Supreme Court judge, who ruled against the New York governor’s abuse of public health law in a little known but critically important lawsuit. The decision is likely to have spillover effects in other states due to the constitutional issue of separation of powers. It may also alert citizens to the failure of their state legislatures to rein in out-of-control governors. The lawsuit challenged “Isolation and Quarantine Procedures” Rule 2.13 (10 NYCRR 2.13), which allowed New York governor Kathy Hochul to use the state Department of Health to issue regulations allowing health officials to involuntarily quarantine and detain people diagnosed or suspected of being exposed to a communicable disease for indefinite periods of time, depriving them of freedom, due process, and property rights, all while avoiding legislative oversight. Acting justice of the Supreme Court Ronald D. Ploetz ruled on July 8 that Rule 2.13 violates New York State law and is thus null, void, and unenforceable. He said that the Executive Branch had infringed on separation of powers, trampled on the constitutional due process rights of citizens, and ignored existing state law governing isolation and quarantine for serious contagious diseases.

(Arizona) Pinal County Ballot Fix On Hold As Supervisors Set To Meet For Legal Advice

The Pinal County Board of Supervisors has called a special session for Tuesday afternoon to address problems with roughly 63,000 faulty ballots mailed out last week to voters on the Active Early Voting List (AEVL) for the Aug. 2 Primary Election. On Friday, county officials confirmed roughly 46,000 voters who live within the limits of seven cities and towns received early ballots without any municipal races such as mayor, council, and local bond overrides. Another 17,000 or so voters who live in unincorporated areas of Pinal County received ballots containing municipal races the voters are not eligible for.

Judicial Watch Sues after New York City Fails to Clean Voter Rolls for Years

Judcial Watch: Judicial Watch announced today that it filed a federal lawsuit against New York State and New York City election officials failing to remove potentially hundreds of thousands of ineligible voters from New York City voter registration rolls as federal law requires. The lawsuit, filed under the National Voter Registration Act (NVRA), details how New York City removed only 22 names under the federal law over six years (Judicial Watch v Valentine et al. (No.1:22-cv-03952)). […] In all, “more than 600,000 voting-age citizens, per year, are estimated to have changed residence in New York City during the five-year period from 2016 through 2020.” […] “Dirty voting rolls can mean dirty elections, and New York City’s rolls are some of the dirtiest in the country,” stated Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton. “Elections officials in New York City have simply refused to clean the voter lists for years. We want cleaner elections, as the law requires, and we expect this lawsuit will cause New York to take the simple steps necessary to clean from its rolls the names of hundreds of thousands of voters who have moved away or died.”

How did my family, friends and neighbors – who I thought shared my liberal, humanist values – turn into a group-thinking, bullying herd? What forces were exerted to erase scientific and intellectual integrity from the minds of literally millions of doctors, scientists, economists, journalists, educators and other normally curious and compassionate people worldwide? […] Overall, I believe four extremely powerful forces converged catastrophically to initiate, and then perpetuate, the snowball that became the avalanche of Covid insanity. Yet there is no reason why the Palestinian leadership should do anything so long as no one is asking it to. Instead of halting the incitement, the Palestinian Authority is continuing to encourage hostility and even violence. As the Biden administration is talking about the need for “gestures,” PA Prime Minister Mohammad Shtayyeh, just this month, falsely accused Israel of using the bodies of slain terrorists in Israeli medical laboratories. This is the type of whipping people up that prompts Palestinians to carry out more terrorist attacks.

Administrators on the image board moved quickly in the hours after the content was posted to pull down threads that included materials from the alleged leak, leaving many on the site, which is known for featuring some of the most salacious subject matter on the internet, furious. The content from the leak could not immediately be verified by the Washington Examiner, and a White House representative did not immediately respond to a request for comment. It was also not immediately clear if the contents of the 4chan leak included any materials from the younger Biden’s infamous laptop, of which the Washington Examiner verified the authenticity earlier this year. In the Netherlands the government official who organized the regulations to take farmland from farmers and reduce their livestock is a politician named Christianne van der Wal-Zeggelink {wiki link}. Mrs van der Wal-Zeggelink is the current Minister for Nature and Nitrogen Policy in the Dutch cabinet of Prime Minister Mark Rutte. Minister Christianne van der Wal-Zeggelink and Prime Minister Mark Rutte are climate activists, so it makes sense that the “Minister of Nitrogen Policy” would be the person who would attempt to reduce nitrogen by targeting the farmers. It is Mrs. van der Wal-Zeggelink who created the regulations that the farmers are protesting. Now, stay with me… Christianne van der Wall-Zeggelink is married to Piet van der Wal, an heir to the wealth of the family who owns a supermarket chain called Boni. {citation} So, when Dutch farmers sell product to Boni they are directly funding the wealth of the government minister who seeks to destroy their livelihoods.

This is now the second time the EU Parliament has denounced the United States over the legal decision, claiming it undermines “human rights.”

Abortion isn’t even tangentially mentioned in the Constitution. But guess what? The European Union’s constitution, with its 448 articles and more than 70,000 words micromanaging the continent’s affairs, doesn’t mention “abortion” anywhere, either. Abortion isn’t a constitutional “right” in the EU. It isn’t a constitutional “right” in any EU member state. There is no pan-European law dictating the issue of abortion. If terminating an unwanted child is a fundamental human right, as so many Europeans now claim, why did they forget to mention it in a constitution that was only ratified in 2004? […] If we had a proper president, he would be blasting the EU for involving itself in the domestic affairs of its generous patron. Because it’s one thing for us to disagree on policy, and another to allow second-rate pseudo-democracies with long, bloody histories to reprimand our institutions for following the law.

Sweeney: Divine Providence: The Witness of Two American Heroes

In very different historical circumstances, two strong-willed, athletic men with intelligence and leadership ability survived multiple dangers, but neither attributed his survival to his abilities or to sheer willpower. Instead, both men consistently and publicly credited Divine Providence. Their stories are well-known, but worth reviewing, since they serve as witnesses to us in our own challenging circumstances. The first American is our celebrated George Washington. While his life is famous, we may not have considered certain incidents in the light of his spiritual life of faith. Such considerations are presented in The Spiritual Journey of George Washington (2013) by Janice T. Connell. I will here focus on some particularly striking episodes described in her book, which become significant in light of an extraordinary spiritual event that occurred in Washington’s darkest hour of the Revolutionary War. The foundation for George Washington’s strong and personal Christian faith is revealed in an anecdote relating how his father Augustine chose to teach him about the fatherhood of God. It is told that Augustine had him plant cabbage seeds in a pattern spelling out “George,” and, after George carefully watered it for a while and his name emerged, the young George expressed amazement and asked, “How did this happen?” His father explained, “This is a great thing, an important thing, a vital thing…. I want you to understand my son that I am introducing you to your true father, the source and sustenance of all life, even yours” (p.6). George’s mother . . . […] Sent into the Ohio valley as a young officer (22 years old) to challenge the French stronghold of Fort Duquesne, George Washington was faced with a hopeless military task. Yet he learned to . . .[…] Another American in a later time period faced dangers in very different circumstances. He possessed a personality and background that differed from those of George Washington, but he also had a strong Christian faith that brought him to the firm conviction that Divine Providence had directed him from the beginning. This was Walter Ciszek, born in 1904, a son of Polish immigrants living in Shenandoah, Pennsylvania. As a boy, according to his description, he was “a tough”—a bully, a leader of a gang, a street fighter, who played hooky from school and had to repeat a whole year. He was good at sports and was determined to do better at a game than anyone else. He was stubborn and liked to challenge himself to do anything that was hard to do. Out of this raw material, God in His own way formed what turned out to be an inspiring life.
