Sperry: Here Are the Senior Biden Officials Entangled in Durham’s Criminal Russiagate Probe

Several individuals connected to a 2016 Hillary Clinton campaign plot to cast Donald Trump as a covert Kremlin collaborator are working in high-level jobs within the Biden administration – including at least two senior Biden appointees cited by Special Counsel John Durham in his “active (and) ongoing” criminal investigation of the scheme, according to recently filed court documents. Jake Sullivan, who now serves as Biden’s national security adviser, and Caroline Krass, a top lawyer at the Pentagon, were involved in efforts in 2016 and 2017 to advance the Clinton campaign’s false claims about Trump through the media and the federal government, documents show. Other evidence shows that two other Biden officials – senior State Department official Dafna Rand and Securities and Exchange Commission Chairman Gary Gensler – also are entangled in the so-called Russiagate scandal. It’s not known whether these Biden appointees have been interviewed by Durham’s investigators. But as the probe widens, some government ethics watchdogs anticipate that Biden’s presidency could be pulled into the scandal, which saw the FBI abuse its surveillance powers to spy on a Trump campaign adviser based on Clinton opposition research.

Kelly: Release the ‘Colbert Nine’ Records

Stephen Colbert arguably is one of the loudest celebrity boosters of the January 6 select committee. For months, Colbert, a longtime lover of Democrats and hater of Donald Trump, has covered the events of January 6 on a nightly basis, often using the latest news out of the committee as grist for his opening monologue. […] So, to recap: Colbert’s thugs unlawfully entered not one but three Capitol buildings on June 16. Members of the group lied to law enforcement, defied police orders, attempted to obstruct an official proceeding of Congress, intended to harass and intimidate lawmakers, and frightened congressional staffers. As I explained here, those offenses are much worse than the overwhelming majority of charges leveled against January 6 protesters by the same office that not only dropped the sole count against the Colbert Nine but declined to bring additional charges. Matthew Graves may get away with refusing to bring criminal accountability to Colbert’s crew, but House Republicans can bring some measure of public accountability.

Propper: Supreme Court won’t allow Biden immigration policy to move forward

The Supreme Court rejected a policy by the Biden administration to prioritize the deportation of illegal immigrants who pose a threat to national security or public safety. In a 5-4 decision, the court’s order freezes the policy for now, but justices said it would hear arguments on the case, likely in late November. Conservative Justice Amy Coney Barrett sided with the three liberal judges who would have allowed Biden to initiate the directive. The decision comes after the administration’s emergency request to the court following differing determinations from federal appeals courts. The case stems from a September order from Homeland Security that stopped deportation unless the person committed acts of terrorism, espionage or serious criminal conduct that threatens public safety.

Turley: “Offer Large Sums of Public Money”: Law Professor Calls for Congress to “Buyout” Conservative Justices

Critics of the Supreme Court have tried every means to change the balance or decisions of the Court from threats of impeachment to harassing justices at homes or restaurants. Some of these reckless measures have been encouraged by law professors, including a Georgetown law professor who encouraged more “aggressive” measures targeting the justices. Now, Seton Hall Law Assistant Dean Brian Sheppard has called for Congress to “buyout” justices by offering them “large sums of money.” If needed, he suggests that President Joe Biden could scrape up the dough to prompt justices to cash in and get out.

Dean Sheppard insists that offering large sums “could be effective without harming the integrity of the institution.” Many of us would beg to differ.

Yet Pottinger is portrayed as a leading protagonist in three different pro-lockdown books on America’s response to Covid-19: The Plague Year by the New Yorker’s Lawrence Wright, Nightmare Scenario by the Washington Post’s Yasmeen Abutaleb, and Chaos Under Heaven by the Washington Post’s Josh Rogin. Pottinger’s singularly outsized role in pushing for alarm, shutdowns, mandates, and science from China in the early months of Covid is extremely well-documented. Pottinger’s enormous influence during Covid is especially surprising not only because of his absence from online discussion about these events, but because of who he is. […] . . . as Deputy National Security Advisor, Matt Pottinger played a singularly outsized role in shaping America’s disastrous response to Covid by taking the following actions: 1. Throughout January 2020, Pottinger unilaterally called White House meetings unbeknownst to those in attendance and breached protocol to ratchet up alarm about the new coronavirus based on information from his own sources in China, despite having no official intelligence to back up his alarmism. 2. However, there does not appear to be a single picture of Pottinger wearing a mask anywhere on the Internet.3. Pottinger popularized the idea of shutdowns within the White House using a questionable study on the 1918 flu pandemic comparing outcomes between Philadelphia and St. Louis, a month before this study received any significant attention from media outlets in 2020. 4. Pottinger specifically courted Deborah Birx to serve as White House Coronavirus Response Coordinator, who then embarked on a months-long campaign for lockdowns that were as long and strict as possible across the United States. 5. Despite having no background in science or public health, Pottinger appears to have promoted the idea of mass testing for the coronavirus. 6. Reuters reported, “A Ukrainian cargo plane carrying munitions from Serbia to Bangladesh crashed in northern Greece late on Saturday, killing all eight crew members on board, Greek and Serbian authorities said on Sunday. “Witnesses said the aircraft had come down in a ball of flames near the city of Kavala before exploding on impact in corn fields around midnight local time. Earlier the pilot had reported engine trouble and had requested an emergency landing. “Drone images from the scene showed smoldering debris from the Antonov An-12 aircraft strewn across fields.” The aircraft is a Soviet cargo plane.

Huh? Since February Zelensky has DEMANDED the United States and other Western nations arm his country after Putin invaded the country. Ordinarily, I would agree except Zelensky is a crook who instead of investigating Biden for corruption helped Democrats impeach Trump.

Markovsky: Who Gains from Ukraine?

The recent meeting of the G-7 demonstrated a triumph of zeal over the members’ self-interest. The seven were overwhelmed with a host of crises; inflation, energy, climate change, impending food shortage, and Ukraine offered no solution to any of the problems. Speaking of Ukraine, they agreed to impose the 7th round of sanctions and promised to keep the war going as long as it takes. They simply did not know what else to do. So, they spent the rest of their time mocking Putin instead evaluating the West’s vulnerabilities and understanding Kiev and Moscow’s objectives and strategies. Ironically, the meeting outcome bodes well for Zelensky and Putin. President Biden, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz, French President Emmanuel Macron, and former British Premier Boris Johnson had no idea how this Eastern European game is played. They have been adroitly deceived by both their “sworn friend” Vladimir Zelensky and their professed adversary Vladimir Putin. Despite their differences, Zelensky and Putin converge on one crucial aspect: neither wants to end this war.

Shaw: TSA chief says ‘under 1,000’ illegal immigrants have been allowed to board planes with warrants as ID

Hawley asked TSA Administrator David Pekoske at a Senate hearing about a TSA policy that allows illegal immigrants to use warrants, which represent civil immigration enforcement and are not criminal arrest warrants, as an alternative form of identification. “How many individuals have presented TSA with arrest warrants or deportation notices and been allowed to travel this calendar year?” Hawley asked. “Under 1,000 sir,” Pekoske replied.

Davidson: In The Wake Of Roe’s Demise, Democrats Are Doing All They Can To Thwart Democracy

Democrats love to talk about democracy — mostly about how it’s under threat from Republicans and “Christian nationalists” and anyone who opposes their agenda. But at least on a rhetorical level, they seem to love and cherish democracy and rightly think that a government of the people and by the people is the surest safeguard against tyranny. In practice, though, they hate democracy and will use every tool at their disposal to subvert and destroy it. Hardly a day goes by that Democrats don’t proclaim as much by their actions. Just look at their response to the Supreme Court overturning Roe v. Wade last month, which triggered laws in more than a dozen states banning or placing new restrictions on abortion. Voters in those states elected the people who passed these new laws, which in some cases are broadly popular. By overturning Roe, the court breathed new life into the democratic process, returning an issue to the American people that a previous Supreme Court had snatched away from them. But Democrats don’t really want democracy when it comes to abortion. They prefer the raw exercise of executive power. This week, Attorney General Merrick Garland threatened . . .

A four-year-old boy pulled a gun and fired at police while they attempted to handcuff a 27-year-old man outside a Utah McDonald’s.
