With Kevin McCarthy likely short of the votes needed to become Speaker of the House, a “unity candidate” has finally thrown his name into the ring. As RedState reported last night, Democrats have been batting that idea around for a while, and now they have a name to put with their theory: Justin Amash. The former Michigan representative announced his candidacy on social media early Tuesday morning (I guess he’s an early riser). His announcement is really long so I’m just going to post the highlights, but if you click on and read the entire thread, there’s a lot of criticism of McCarthy’s record, much of it fair.

He’s also very libertarian, to the level of having substantive disagreements with conservatives, and left the Republican Party as a staunch critic of Donald Trump, calling for the former president’s impeachment. On the contrary, his entire pledge is to forgive and forget the abuses of the Pelosi era, returning things to a level playing field for both parties. It is also about what likely doomed them, according to doctors and scientists who investigate vaccine harms, as the babies grew cell by cell within the womb, from healthy to harmed to the clinical, horrific category of demise. One holds that the vaccines are safe in any trimester, even though trials did not test the vaccine on pregnant women. Instead, regulators inferred human safety based on Pfizer and Moderna studies of rats dosed twice each before and during pregnancy. “These studies revealed no evidence of harm to the fetus,” the Pfizer label states, referring not to humans but rats. He said government lawyers first admitted in court to having at least 400 pages of ‘potentially relevant’ documents – but are now trying to get away with saying they can ‘neither confirm nor deny’ the existence of any records that match his request…

[…] In May, a $40billion US package of assistance for Ukraine was sent with a staffer on a commercial flight to South Korea, when Biden was in Seoul for meetings with Asian leaders. Ehrlich, a Stanford University professor, said humanity was not sustainable and reiterated his concerns that the planet’s human population was crowding out the natural environment to our own peril. […] Ehrlich has long predicted mass starvation and environmental collapse due to population growth and recommended taxing children, mass sterilization, abortions to limit population growth and “whatever steps are necessary to establish a reasonable population size” in his 1968 book “The Population Bomb.” Earlier in his career he predicted that hundreds of millions of people would starve to death in the 1970s, that England would not exist by 2000 and that “an utter breakdown of the capacity of the planet to support humanity” would occur by the 198os, according to The New York Times.

The alleged Islamic extremist who stabbed a rookie NYPD cop with a machete near Times Square on New Year’s Eve and was on an FBI ‘watchlist’ wrote a chilling manifesto where he urged his family to ‘repent to Allah.’ Trevor Bickford, 19, from Wells, Maine, who officials believe became radicalized and vowed to fight in Afghanistan, addressed a letter to his family where he urged his loved ones to convert so they ‘may be taken out of the hellfire.’ According to police sources who spoke with one outlet, the Maine resident had a handwritten note and collection of religious materials in his backpack while visiting Manhattan to carry out the attack. After Bickford allegedly slashed two officers Saturday evening, another NYPD officer shot him in the shoulder and he was rushed to Bellevue Hospital in Manhattan, along with the two cops. They are all expected to survive.

House Bill 1455 would declare anyone who knowingly distributes or sells 2 milligrams or more of a mixture containing a detectable amount of fentanyl to another person without their knowledge it contains fentanyl is guilty of attempted first-degree murder by poison. The bill also declares that if the distribution of a substance containing fentanyl results in someone’s death, the person who sold or distributed the substance would be guilty of first-degree murder by poison. […] Fentanyl is a synthetic opioid that is 50 times stronger than heroin and 100 times stronger than morphine, according to the CDC.
