Solomon: Trump vows to crush federal censorship with new appointees, executive order if elected in 2024
former President Donald Trump is vowing to dismantle the federal machinery built by the Biden administration to censor political speech in America, saying he will appoint new leaders of agencies that have engaged in silencing free speech. He also said he would sign an Executive Order banning government employees from participating in projects that infringe the First Amendment. The 45th president made the comments Thursday during an interview on the “Just the News, No Noise” television show when asked about the Biden administration’s well-documented and now-failed efforts to create a government disinformation office. He also highlighted President Biden’s letting federal agencies like Homeland Security and the FBI work with, if not coerce, private parties to pressure Big Tech to censor Americans. […] In a wide-ranging interview, the former president also urged Congress and the FBI to probe evidence of ballot application fraud scheme uncovered by Michigan cops. Just the News reported Thursday on police documents showing Michigan authorities uncovered in 2020 what they believed was a multistate ballot application fraud scheme connected to a Democrat-funded firm and referred evidence to the FBI, which is now declining to say what it did to probe the allegations. Solomon: Trump says Biden’s behavior warrants impeachment inquiry: ‘More aliases than Al Capone’
Former President Donald Trump on Thursday threw his support behind launching an impeachment inquiry against his successor, but urged House Republicans to conduct such a probe fairly and to determine once and for all whether Joe Biden financially benefitted from his son Hunter’s overseas business exploits.
Trump told Just the News that the evidence gathered by House Oversight Chairman James Comer against President Biden – from three pseudonym email accounts, suspicious bank activity reports and contacts with shady business partners in China, Russia, Ukraine, Romania and Kazakhstan to an FBI informant allegation of a $10 million cash bribe – warranted an impeachment inquiry. “I don’t think when you have all these preparations, and you have all of these different methods, even all the aliases – whoever heard of (having) more aliases than Al Capone – I would think that, you know, a fair person because you want it to be fair, it has to be fair … but a fair person would have no choice but to impeach,” he said during a wide-ranging interview Thursday night on the “Just the News, No Noise” television show on Real America’s Voice.

Justice Clarence Thomas’ 2022 financial disclosure released on Thursday includes additional information in compliance with new Judicial Conference rules, which the attorney who helped prepare it says refutes accusations of ethics violations that have been leveled against the justice for months. […] Over the past months, Thomas has been the subject of a number of reports by ProPublica and others alleging he violated ethics rules through accepting gifts from wealthy friends. Taer: ‘State Of Emergency’: Dem Gov Calls On National Guard Over Migrant Crisis
Democratic Massachusetts Gov. Maura Healey is deploying 250 National Guard troops to help with the state’s migrant crisis, she said in a statement Thursday. The National Guard troops will support migrants living in emergency shelter hotels, according to the statement. The state currently has 6,000 families, including children and pregnant women in its care. “Massachusetts is in a state of emergency, and we need all hands-on deck to meet this moment and ensure families have access to safe shelter and basic services,” Healey said in the statement.

America First Legal launched a lawsuit to obtain records from NARA encompassing communications between January 2011 and December 2013 with the name of Hunter Biden’s company, “Rosemont Seneca.” In response to AFL’s records request, NARA refused to release the records, admitting the disclosure would reveal “confidential advice” between then-Vice President Joe Biden and White House advisers. NARA did provide 861 records that apparently did not fall under executive privilege. “Release would disclose confidential advice between the President and his advisors, or between such advisors,” NARA told AFL in response to its records request. NARA also consistently refuses to provide lawmakers any information about Joe Biden’s email aliases “Robert Peters,” “Robin Ware,” and “JRB Ware.”

Kern: Judge blocks law requiring parental consent for kids to use social media
A federal judge has blocked an Arkansas law that requires children under 18 to get parental consent before accessing most social media websites — finding the law is likely unconstitutional. Judge Timothy Brooks of the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Arkansas granted tech lobbying group NetChoice’s request to stop the law from going into effect on Sept. 1. NetChoice, whose members include Meta, Google and TikTok, sued the state’s attorney general in June saying the law violates the First Amendment. Unconstitutional law: Brooks said in his 50-page ruling that NetChoice is likely to succeed in showing the law is unconstitutionally vague and fails to define which platforms are subject to it.

The reparations task force accidentally makes a case for payments to white people. When California’s reparations task force released its report recommending $1.2 million in total lifetime payments to every black person, it made headlines around the world. California was not a slave state so what was the $1.2 million payout even based on? Even though the task force conveniently proposed limiting payments to the descendants of slaves (despite the lack of slaves in the state) it was mostly based on calculating the differences in life expectancy between black people and white people. The meat of the 1,000 page report isn’t in the endless pages of virtue signaling, including a chapter on cultural appropriation, but the claim that “the difference in life expectancy between African Americans and white non-Hispanics in California can be interpreted as the cumulative effect of unequal treatment”.
