It is therefore an appropriate time to revisit the claims of high effectiveness of the first booster, which was added to the two-shot protocol two winters ago. Using empirical data from three sources, I will examine here what is left after accounting for the healthy vaccine bias (to be explained) and show peculiar features of the data that indicate even deeper estimation problems. Then, I will discuss another bias, called differential misclassification, which cannot be easily removed. […] The true effectiveness of the first booster was short-lived, if meaningful at all. Peak protection was somewhere between mediocre and zero, and it is impossible to narrow that range. Therefore, all those observational studies of the booster effectiveness were useless. Taking a new Covid shot every winter has no empirical basis. The burden of proving effectiveness against death squarely rests on public health officials and anything short of a double-blind, placebo-controlled randomized trial is unacceptable. And that applies to the flu shot as well.

Apparently, prescribing Ivermectin for people with Covid was fine all along. Sure, nearly every public authority vehemently denounced Ivermectin, calling it “horse dewormer,” and social media platforms censored people who dared mention it. And sure, they slandered medical experts like Dr. Peter McCullough and Dr. Robert Malone and even placed jaundiced filters on pictures of Joe Rogan, who credited Ivermectin for his quick recovery from Covid. But now, after some doctors are suing the FDA for all but banning an effective treatment for the coronavirus, FDA officials have claimed that their aggressive criticisms of the drug were “merely quips.” When it comes to acknowledging the many blunders of the Covid response, none of this is surprising. Whether they were wrong about social distancing, lockdowns, masking, taking the jab, natural immunity, or finding the origins of the virus, the experts are oddly forgetful now of just how confident and belligerent they were at the time. In other cases, as with “public intellectual” Sam Harris, many leftists still maintain that imposing Covid vaccine mandates was justified because the virus could have been much worse—even though it wasn’t.

Fortunately for these hypocrites, most Americans today are tired of hearing about Covid.

Conclusions: Reductions in excess deaths over a period of 30 days after peak deaths averaged 74% in the 10 states with the most intensive IVM use. As determined across all 25 states, these reductions in excess deaths correlated closely with the extent of IVM use (p<0.002). During four months of IVM use in 2020, before a new president of Peru restricted its use, there was a 14-fold reduction in nationwide excess deaths and then a 13-fold increase in the two months following the restriction of IVM use. Notably, these trends in nationwide excess deaths align with WHO summary data for the same period in Peru.

This record has nothing to do with the hard-nosed, practical, anti-communist, and anti-Iranian outlook with which it’s sometimes associated — one shared by many Republicans. Instead, it flows from a broader foreign and domestic project of power accrual and social control driven by ideologues and administrators in Washington, D.C. […] . . . progressivism came to power, directly and indirectly, off neoconservatism. The staffers of the Obama and Biden White Houses came from the defense, administrative, and academic sectors neocons helped grow. The invasion of Iraq was used immediately by progressives as an excuse to question America’s alliance with Israel, and its long-term failure gave the Obama White House room to launch a pro-Iranian pivot that continues today. And the new war on white nationalism, supported by Bush administration alumni, is the mirror image of the War on Crime, where blue-collar conservative whites are labeled, as black Americans distrustful of the system once were, as backward and morally decayed.

American political satirist and humorist, CJ Hopkins, who has lived in Germany for 20 years, was criminally investigated in June and July of 2023 by the Berlin State Prosecutor (District Attorney) and has now been issued a “Penalty Order” or “Order of Punishment” for “disseminating propaganda, the intention of which is to further the aims of the former National Socialist organization (Nazis).” Hopkins has been found guilty without a trial and sentenced to a €3,600 fine (about 3,800 American dollars) or up to three years in jail. Hopkins is an American citizen with a permanent resident visa in Germany. The two tweets for which he is being charged appeared on the Internet in August 2022. The tweets include a picture of a mask, the one used on the cover of his latest book, with a very light depiction of a swastika on the mask. Hopkins’ essays in the book criticize and satirize covid policies and restrictions. The text accompanying the image reads, “The masks are ideological conformity symbols. That is all they are. That is all they have ever been. Stop acting like they have ever been anything else, or get used to wearing them.” The hashtag reads, “The masks are not a benign measure.” Hopkins wrote the tweets in German, and these are translations. The other tweet is a quote from Karl Lauterbach, Minister of Health of Germany, and reads, “The masks always send out a signal.” The image accompanying the tweets is the cover art from Hopkins’ latest book, The Rise of the New Normal Reich, which is a collection of Hopkins’ essays from 2020-2021.

The unnamed infant from Thailand was given favipiravir, a treatment commonly used for influenza and Ebola, which was used as a Covid therapy in parts of Asia and Europe during the pandemic but was never approved in the US. Doctors in Bangkok who treated the infant said the antiviral drug released a fluorescent chemical that accumulated in the boy’s corneas. The boy’s eyes changed hue 18 hours after receiving the treatment but returned to their natural color five days after medication cessation.
