Willie Wilson Chicago business owner: Political leaders passed sanctuary laws without fully appreciating the plans and resources needed to take care of migrants and asylum-seekers. These laws appear to be in conflict with the U.S. Constitution and encourage illegal immigration. We are a nation of laws, and directing law enforcement to ignore immigration laws will erode our democracy. According to FAIR, the cost of illegal immigration to U.S. taxpayers has reached $115.6 billion, a 30% increase over five years. I write this commentary to make those comfortable with open borders uncomfortable. The First Son provided confusing and often contradictory testimony under oath on June 29 during a six hour deposition related to a defamation action brought by John Paul Mac Isaac, the owner of the now defunct computer repair shop, who accuses Hunter of falsely insisting the laptop was not his, or was stolen, or that his information was hacked. Former Delaware PC repair shop owner John Paul Mac Isaac has asked a state court to dismiss claims against him from Hunter Biden levied in response to a defamation suit that he brought against the first son. In a Thursday filing obtained by Just the News, Mac Isaac’s legal team asserted that Biden’s counterclaim “seeks to impose liability” on Mac Isaac “for performing services that Biden hired him to do” and for providing information recovered from his laptop to law enforcement and the president of the United States.

The combustion of fossil fuels for energy to power human civilization has reversed the downward trend in CO₂ and promises to bring it back to levels that will foster a considerable increase in the growth rate and biomass of plants, including food crops and trees. Human emissions of CO₂ have restored a balance to the global carbon cycle, thereby ensuring the long-term continuation of life on Earth. This extremely positive aspect of human CO₂ emissions must be weighed against the unproven hypothesis that human CO₂ emissions will cause a catastrophic warming of the climate in coming years. The one-sided political treatment of CO₂ as a pollutant that should be radically reduced must be corrected in light of the indisputable scientific evidence that it is essential to life on Earth.

Frequently, I read where a politician like John Kerry; Al Gore; Joe Biden; or António Guterres, the secretary general of the U.N., has stated: “We must keep the increase of the average temperature of the Earth to 1.5°C or less; it has already risen 1.1°C since the beginning of the industrial age.” The implication of such a statement is that the Earth is on a path to thermal destruction if we humans don’t take action to save the planet. Aside from exhibiting the height of man’s hubris to think that we could control any basic aspect of nature; such a statement demonstrates either a profound ignorance about fundamental physics or an intent to deceive. I suspect that it is both. The concept of an average temperature of the Earth is a figment of the climate scientist’s imagination, conjured up to try to prove a fraudulent hypothesis. The Earth has no average temperature; the temperature of the Earth is different at every point in time and space. The Earth is never in thermal equilibrium. It should be apparent to anyone that if you add two temperatures together and average them, you get a meaningless number. A calculation of similar value would be to determine the average ZIP code in the United States to locate the average American city (49663 — Manton, Mich., pop. 1,324).

I’m going to drill into more detail on this analysis of the CDC “gold standard” database which shows that the vaccines were a huge failure. There is no way to put a positive spin on this. The US Nursing Home data is the “gold-standard“ record level data for what happened in nursing homes after the COVID vaccine rolled out. The signal from this data is clear and unambiguous: both the primary series and booster COVID vaccines increased the risk of death from COVID. The bivalent vaccines did absolutely nothing for the elderly (at least it didn’t make things worse, but it didn’t make things better). […] The key point is that, in aggregate, when compared to pre-vax infection fatality rates, the odds of death climbed for months after the vaccines were delivered when they were “supposed to” have fallen like a rock. In particular the odds of death ( deaths from covid:survivors from COVID) increased post-vaccine. So did the absolute risk reduction; it went south which means the vaccines increased your risk of death. In short, the vaccine made things worse. The reference point chosen (the week prior to vaccine rollout) is immaterial; the slopes all went the wrong way. There is no doubt about this. This is a huge failure of the vaccine.

Fleitz: New Biden Nuke Deal is a Farce and Emboldens Iran
A new report by the International Atomic Energy Agency disproves the Biden Administration’s attempts to dismiss the danger of the secret agreement and to falsely portray it as a deal that halted Iran’s pursuit of nuclear weapons. Iran also reportedly agreed under this deal to cooperate with IAEA investigations of its nuclear program. Iran is allowed to keep its nuclear infrastructure under the agreement, including advanced uranium centrifuges, and is permitted to continue to develop this technology. Linked to the agreement is a U.S.-Iran prisoner swap under which Iran received $6 billion in sanctions relief in exchange for releasing five innocent Americans imprisoned in Iran. The prisoner swap was widely criticized as the U.S. paying ransom to free Americans held hostage by Iran. The five Americans were released from prison and placed under house arrest in Iran on August 10. Negotiations to allow them to leave the country are continuing. To circumvent congressional oversight of this dangerous deal, it was negotiated as a set of unwritten “understandings” and the Biden administration has publicly denied its existence. But at the same time, Biden officials have privately spun the deal to selected reporters as a diplomatic victory by claiming it suspended Iran’s nuclear weapons program because Tehran agreed not to produce weapons-grade uranium. This week, Biden administration officials attempted to convince reporters that a new International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) report proves this because Iran is producing less near-weapons-grade 60% enriched uranium due to their diplomatic efforts. This is a clever distortion of the IAEA report.

And the number of terror victims shot up every year Biden was in office from 17 in 2021, to 31 in 2022, and there is every sign that 2023 will top that. Biden’s half a billion dollars helped fuel a massive surge in Islamic terrorism. While the money is officially listed as humanitarian aid, injecting money into terror zones funds terrorism. The Palestinian Authority maintains a ‘pay-to-slay’ program which pays salaries to terrorists based on the lengths of their prison sentences. That means successful killers can earn $3,000 a month in a part of the world where the average salary is around $700 a month. It’s five times more profitable to be a terrorist than a teacher. That’s the price of Batsheva’s life and that is what the Biden administration has been paying for.

Texas has been busing illegal aliens to New York City and other places and while that policy has attracted a lot of attention from both sides, the reality is that the majority of illegal aliens aren’t looking to stay at a Texas bus station. They want to go to the places they’ve heard about, like Manhattan, where they will be put up in luxury hotels. The Biden administration will move to end the busing, but also stop the illegals from going where they want to.

This bigotry not only violates fundamental rights, but it also puts vulnerable children at risk. During the 2021-22 fiscal year, more than 9,700 children were placed in the custody of the Massachusetts Department of Children and Families, which had already acknowledged a serious lack of both foster families and group homes. While DCF does not publish an official number, reports began to emerge that abused and neglected children removed from their homes who had no place to stay ended up sleeping in social workers’ offices, sometimes for nights at a time. Other foster children were forced to stay in hospitals or emergency rooms because no other placements were available.

Rhode Island’s biggest school district is refusing to name the adult advisors to its LGBTQ student clubs, claiming the parent activist seeking their identities posted “medical information” about the primary subject of the public records request. That medical information is the gender identity of Aarav Sundaresh, Providence Public Schools director of equity and belonging, a biological woman who has spoken publicly about identifying as a man. The district even identifies Sundaresh as a “founding Core Collective member for the National Trans Educators Network.” Nicole Solas, a parent and lawyer, is now demanding that Providence deputy city solicitor Charles Ruggerio, who is representing the district, face professional sanctions for “wilfully [sic] and knowingly lying” to Attorney General Peter Neronha about Solas, also a lawyer, “doxing” Sundaresh. Solis denies doxxing, arguing her statements were protected by free-speech.

Dozens of exhibits have been admitted as evidence in the ongoing impeachment trial of Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton, but by the third day of the trial Thursday, none had been published on the state’s Court of Impeachment website. The court has not disclosed what types of records or evidence are included.
Six witnesses were sworn in as a group Wednesday by Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick, but none stated their names during the process. Patrick also did not state who they were. Their names, and no other witness names, have been listed on the impeachment website. Throughout the course of the trial so far, when attorneys refer to the exhibits, a copy of it displays on the tablet screens on each state senator’s desk, but there is no large screen for the general public or media to view them, nor is any description given to explain what the exhibit refers to. […] The Center Square asked Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick’s press office and the Secretary of the Senate if and when the information already introduced as a matter of public record will be posted on the Court of Impeachment website and did not receive a response. Schemmel: FACT CHECK: Is the Abbott Administration Closing Libraries as Part of Its Houston Public School Revamp?
Claim: Texas Republican governor Greg Abbott’s administration is closing libraries and turning them into disciplinary centers as part of a state intervention into Houston’s chronically underperforming public school system. Who said it: A slew of left-wing media outlets, including the New York Times. In an Aug. 13 piece headlined “Texas Revamps Houston Schools, Closing Libraries and Angering Parents,” the Times wrote that Abbott’s administration fired librarians and “effectively close[d] libraries in some of the city’s poorest schools,” a move the paper suggested would hurt minority students and families.
Why it matters: Houston’s public schools are lagging far behind those in the rest of the state in reading and math scores. The state’s intervention aims to reverse that trend, and if the effort is successful, it will provide a blueprint for struggling schools in Texas and elsewhere. Context: Texas in 2015 passed a law by Rep. Harold Dutton Jr.—a black Democrat who has represented Houston in the State Legislature for nearly four decades—that requires the state’s education agency to intervene in failing school districts. If a public school receives a failing grade on its academic performance for five consecutive years, the Texas Education Agency must appoint a new board of managers for the school district. It was ironic on this first day of the proceedings that there was a group of university students outside of the Ontario Provincial courthouse seeking donations for a charity associated with the Shriners. The kids were encouraging the drivers of the cars passing by to honk their horns and voice their support for the cause. It was the honking of course that caused some in Ottawa to apparently go mad during the late January to mid February protest of 2022. People claimed the truckers who came to town and parked their rigs on Wellington St. in front of Parliament Hill were honking all night long. As someone who stayed all night long for the protest in the sub-zero temperatures of an Ottawa winter, I can tell you that the truckers did not continue to blast their horns way past midnight. They went to sleep. We heard the usual drivel on Tuesday from the Crown prosecutor, one Tim Radcliffe who had the gall to suggest this trial had nothing at all to do with the political opinions of Lich and Barber but had everything to do with their allegedly dangerous “means.” He claimed their protest was “anything but peaceful.” Well, let’s just stop there for a minute for a realty check.

“2S” means “Two-Spirit,” a term that “reflects complex Indigenous understandings of gender roles, spirituality, and the long history of sexual and gender diversity in Indigenous cultures.” According to the Canadian government, 2SLGBTQI+ “recognizes Two-Spirit people as the first 2SLGBTQI+ communities.”
LGBTQ are, respectively, lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer. “I” means “intersex” and “considers sex characteristics beyond sexual orientation, gender identity and gender expression, and + is “inclusive of people who identify as part of sexual and gender diverse communities, who use additional terminologies.” This ever-increasing aggregation of letters, numbers and symbols comes billed as an acronym. It is actually a construct, in a special kind of way. […] “Trans violent militancy is the current focus of #Antifa,” contends journalist Andy Ngo. “They believe that critics of trans ideology should be silenced, maimed or murdered. Some call for sexual violence against females in particular, as revenge.” A travel advisory would be better suited for places where transifa terror is likely to strike, not places that recognize biological reality. At this point in history, Canada isn’t one of those.
