But let’s talk about Ukraine, a conflict that has been pushed off the front page by the Israel-Hamas War. You know that President Biden’s Ukraine policy is in trouble when MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” show hosts panels, like one held on November 21, to discuss why the war is unwinnable, explain why Ukraine needs to change its strategy to protect the 80% of the country it controls, and encourage Ukraine to pursue a cease-fire with Russia.

Palmerston would have scratched his head if an Austrian or Russian diplomat had discussed the “integration” of Europe. Richelieu would have mobilized. Frederick the Great would have laughed (and then mobilized.) A strategy of “integration” has never been pursued by the statesmen of a serious Great Power.

Lawmakers including members of Biden’s own party voted on Thursday to approve a bill that would permanently freeze the funds, which were unfrozen by the White House in September as part of a controversial deal. The legislation would prevent the Islamic Republic of Iran from accessing the funds via sanctions, and now heads to the Senate. A prominent “lifelong Democrat” scholar and economist who chaired a COVID-19 commission blasted Dr. Anthony Fauci and others for promoting “massive government lying” regarding the coronavirus, and accused Senate Democrats of refusing to investigate the virus’ origins. Dr. Jeffrey Sachs, a Columbia University professor who chaired a COVID-19 commission set up by “The Lancet” medical journal, said he has since left the Democratic Party after seeing how government officials have behaved around the origins of the virus. “The sad part of this, not with respect to the vaccine per se, but with respect to the origin of the virus, is that it’s yet another case of massive government lying,” Sachs said during an appearance on The Hill’s “Rising” show.

TCMD shares had been on a real losing streak in 2023, down more than 60% from its 52-week high of $26.11. The price was down nearly another third, to $10.27 from $12.61, in the 48 hours before Smith made her big buy. Buy the dip, of course. What’s remarkable is just how quickly TCMD recovered over the next three weeks — up 43% since the Minnesota senator plunked down her big bucks on a Minnesota company in an industry that Smith’s committee oversees. That’s just one trade by one senator. Financial analyst Quiver Quantitative called it “the most suspicious congressional stock trade I’ve seen in months.”

Food independence among the people of Africa would be a disaster for everyone but the African people, and Israel is being blamed for movement in that direction. 2. Because it needs to protect itself, Israel produces advanced weaponry that sooner or later enriches it through arms sales, much to the disadvantage of other weapons producers. After the Holocaust, the American Jewish community, like most liberals, reduced the mass murder of millions of Jews to a problem of intolerance and prejudice. A massive effort was undertaken to educate about what had happened rather than what was happening. While the first Holocaust museums were being built, the persecution and killing of Jews had mostly shifted over to the Soviet Union and its allies in the Arab Muslim world. American Jews failed to grapple with this shift much as they failed to come to terms with the reality that black nationalist groups were quickly eclipsing the KKK when it came to the domestic hatred of Jews. These are the key ingredients that led to the current open climate of Jew-hatred in America. Instead of talking about what the hatred of Jews looked like today, American Jewish liberals insisted on dwelling on what it had looked like decades earlier in America and in Europe. Like the generals who are always refighting yesterday’s war, they were not dealing with the present.

The point is not even that Vice contends that the job of every person of power pallor is to somehow cater to the whims of sophomore malcontents. The German government should certainly be under no illusions about what a “larger influx” of refugees from Gaza would mean.
