Taer: Terrorist Caught Illegally Crossing the Border was Allowed to Roam Free for Nearly a Year, Memo Says

Federal authorities caught a terrorist at the U.S. southern border and released him into the country, where he roamed freely for nearly a year before being arrested in Minnesota just days ago, according to an internal federal memo exclusively obtained by the Daily Caller News Foundation.

The unnamed individual, who the memo only identifies as a member of the Somali terror group al-Shabaab, was released shortly after being caught illegally crossing the southern border near San Ysidro, California on March 13, 2023, according to the memo, which the DCNF is not publishing in order to protect the identity of a confidential source. The Terrorist Screening Center “deemed him a ‘mismatch’” after running his name through the terror watchlist, according to the memo, which was sent to Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officials. However, on January 18, 2024, the Terrorist Screening Center “made a redetermination” that the individual was “a confirmed member of al-Shabaab” and was involved in the use, manufacture or transport of explosives or firearms, the memo states. Two days later, ICE nabbed the al-Shabaab member in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

For the past 35 years, the United Nations’ Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) has warned us that emissions from the burning of fossil fuels, predominantly carbon dioxide (CO2), are causing dangerous global warming. This myth is blindly accepted — even by many of my science colleagues who know virtually nothing about climate. As a scientist, my purpose here is to help expose this fairy tale. The global warming story is not a benign fantasy. It is seriously damaging Western economies. In January 2021, the White House ridiculously declared that “climate change is the most serious existential threat to humanity.” From there, America went from energy independence back to energy dependence. Another consequence has been the appearance of numerous companies whose goal is to “sequester CO2” as well as “sequester carbon” from our atmosphere. However, this so-called “solution” is scientifically impossible. Life on Earth is based on carbon! CO2 is plant food, not a pollutant! […] In Earth’s history, the highest levels of atmospheric CO2 (6,000–9,000 ppm) occurred about 550–450 million years ago, which caused plant life to flourish. CO2 levels in older nuclear submarines routinely operated at 7,000 ppm, whereas newer subs keep CO2 in the 2,000- to 5,000-ppm range. Meanwhile, ice core data over the last 800,000 years show no correlation between global warming or cooling cycles and atmospheric CO2 levels.

The return of the U.S. drone led to some confusion over whether the incoming drone was friend or foe, officials have concluded so far, though they cautioned the inquiry into the attack was in an early stage. The enemy drone was launched from Iraq by a militia backed by Tehran and struck the outpost’s living quarters, U.S. officials said. The outpost, Tower 22, sits in Jordan, near the borders of Iraq and Syria.

An American defense official said on Monday that the U.S. has yet to find evidence that Iran directed the Sunday attack, which killed three U.S. troops and wounded more than 40 more. But Tehran provides weapons, training and funding to groups that attack U.S. troops, the U.S. says.

They challenged Texas’ policy of reinforcing the border in court. They have also humiliated the Border Patrol by turning them into the welcome wagon, tasking agents with dismantling barriers, and directing the flow of illegal immigrants to processing centers. The administration has made it clear that it does not want to stop the flow of immigrants but merely wants to render that influx more orderly and less visible to the public. […] Texas’ continuation of its policies without the protection of an injunction exemplifies the rebellious and independent spirit of Texas, and this is heartening. At the same time, the entire episode reminds one of the nullification crisis of the early 19^th century, and, as such, it is rather dangerous. Texas has not merely challenged the federal government in court but declared its rights under the Constitution to defy certain federal statutes while deploying its own troops to create facts on the ground. […] For all the recent talk about a “second civil war” and the grave danger of January 6, until now most of these claims were merely click bait. No one was really that worried, but things are getting real. An actual civil war is never more likely than when different levels of government are defying one another in a federal system.

For over a decade, the ODG, which is made up of approximately a dozen employees, has been working to ensure that Gilbert’s 30 official digital accounts—along with the personal online posts of all Town of Gilbert employees—align with a progressive, liberal agenda. And how much do you think this is costing taxpayers in Gilbert? Over $1.1 million each year in salary alone, with Chief Digital Officer Dana Berchman making over $200,000 annually. When asked about the allegations in the investigative report, the town responded that it “will not tolerate divisive, offensive or culturally insensitive posts from employees purporting to represent the Town.” That’s interesting. Who decides what’s divisive, offensive, or culturally insensitive? The employees within the ODG? Dana Berchman herself? It’s hard to think of an issue more divisive than our last presidential election, and yet Berchman, who interned for Hillary Clinton’s 2000 Senate campaign, regularly used her personal social media profiles to promote then-presidential candidate Joe Biden while urging people to vote out then-President Donald Trump. Within hours of the AZ Free News report breaking, Berchman and Gilbert Town Manager Patrick Banger made their profiles private. What does that tell you?

She was responding to the vote yesterday to prohibit men from competing in women’s sports and to ban minors from taking drugs and surgeries to make themselves look like the opposite sex. The vote overrode a veto by Governor Mike DeWine.Brownsmith (pictured) claims that Joseph’s “amazing technicolor dreamcoat” was really clothes a princess would wear.

The same day as its ruling, evidence arrived that UNRWA on which in part it had relied had itself now been discredited by evidence of its operatives’ involvement in 7/10. This is the latest form of Holocaust denial.
It is a matter of moral and legal judgment about how a country with high moral standards wages war against a terrorist enemy that has none. The framework for such an assessment has not been satisfactorily spelled out.
Israel’s entire ground force is part of an interactive all-arms cyber/air/sea/land concept of operations optimized for precision targeting to minimize collateral casualties, maximize the extinction of Hamas terrorists and ensure the effectiveness of its own force protection.

An Iranian and two Canadian nationals were indicted over an alleged plot to murder an Iranian defector and another Maryland resident on U.S. soil, the Justice Department announced Monday. The three alleged conspirators were part of a criminal network targeting Iranian dissidents at Tehran’s direction, according to the department. One defendant, Damion Patrick John Ryan, is a “full-patch member” of the Hells Angels Motorcycle Club, the department said.

Two New York City brothers were accused Monday of stockpiling an arsenal of explosive devices and ghost guns in their family’s home, where authorities say they also found anarchist propaganda and a hit list that mentioned but didn’t name cops, judges, politicians and celebrities. Andrew and Angelo Hatziagelis were indicted on 130 counts of an array of crimes, including criminal possession and sale of weapons, and they were detained, Queens District Attorney Melinda Katz said in a statement Monday.

Mangan: Former high-ranking FDIC attorney Mark Black pleads guilty in child sex exploitation case

A former top lawyer at the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation pleaded guilty in Virginia federal court to conspiring to sexually exploit multiple children and now faces a mandatory minimum prison sentence of 15 years.
The lawyer, Mark Black, also previously served as president of the board of the Arlington Aquatic Club, a renowned swim club that includes U.S. Olympic swimmers among its alumni.

Antisemitism on American college campuses is not new. College presidents and professors didn’t begin tolerating or teaching antisemitism last Oct. 8. Students marching on behalf of the annihilation of the Jewish state, student activists tearing down posters of kidnapped Jewish children, locking Jewish students in a library at Cooper Union and “70% of Jewish college students feeling forced to hide their Jewish identities” are the result of decades of anti-Israel, anti-Zionist and anti-Jewish rhetoric. One example I recently came across is a column titled “When Young Jews Major in Antisemitism,” published in 2005 in the Los Angeles Times. When I looked to see who wrote the column, I saw — to my surprise — that I did. I did not recall writing the piece. But it is very much worth reading today.

If you want to understand how mass immigration became the biggest flashpoint in American politics, a surprisingly entertaining and unjustly forgotten HBO movie deserves to be watched. Stop me if you’ve heard this one before — a red-state governor, in the midst of a nationwide immigration crisis, defies the president and shuts down the state’s borders to prevent more immigrants from coming in. This leads other states suffering from the effects of mass illegal immigration to rally around the state defying the president, and they all send troops to the state’s borders. Incredibly, this is the plot of “The Second Civil War,” a made-for-HBO movie in 1997. The film languishes in obscurity despite its notable prescience. Which is a shame, because it’s also a surprisingly incisive, entertaining, and well-made film.

Islam is on the verge of completely taking over Europe, in all ways—at least according to one who should know, Hans-Georg Maaßen, Germany’s top domestic intelligence chief from 2012 to 2018. In a recent interview, he stressed several points that spell the imminent downfall of Europe to Islam.

His warnings are buttressed by disturbing demographic changes. According to conservative estimates from Pew Research, over the next 25 years—meaning most of the current generation’s lifetime—Europe’s Muslim population will triple to a staggering 76 million. In fact, the actual current and future numbers of Muslims appear to be higher, though there are no official tallies. For example, in an earlier, 2011 study, Pew Research found that “The number of Muslims in Europe has grown from 29.6 million in 1990 to 44.1 million in 2010. Europe’s Muslim population is projected to exceed 58 million by 2030.” Clearly 58 million in five years’ time is more significant than 76 million in 25 years’ time.

Many years, in fact, the tiny country has been targeted with more resolutions than all others combined. In addition to emboldening and legitimizing Israel’s enemies, including the pioneer of modern terrorism, the UN has also adopted an Arab myth in its effort to erase Jewish identity. Most infamous is a UNESCO resolution denying Jews any historical connection to their faith’s holiest sites at the Temple Mount and Western Wall — a contention that should come as a surprise to anyone who’s read a book. The motion was supported by 24 nations, including Security Council members Russia and China. Only six countries opposed it.

Three Syrian economic migrants in Sweden have just been charged with raping an underage girl while holding her hostage in a locked bathroom. One of the rapists sent a picture of the rape to a friend on Snapchat — no sense in not letting fellow Muslims enjoy the spectacle of an Infidel girl being raped by three Muslims. They had been allowed into Sweden by posing as refugees who would ostensibly be harmed in Syria because of that country’s civil war. […] Yet like almost all European governments, the Swedish government refuses to follow the wishes of its people, who after their brutal experience with Muslim migrants who have arrived in the last decade, would like much stricter limits, or even a complete halt, placed on Muslim migration.
