Facing fierce backlash from investors, the public, and Congress, the SEC has delayed, for the moment, formally imposing the rule.

To answer this question, it is necessary to recognize and account for the fact that most renewable energy takes the form of electricity, generated through wind, solar, or geothermal sources. And when measuring how much the base of renewables installed so far will contribute to the target of 1,000 exajoules of energy production per year in order to realize—best-case scenario—800 exajoules of energy services, the data reported in the Statistical Review of Global Energy is profoundly misleading. […] The point here is 1,000 exajoules represents the absolute minimum to which global energy production must grow in the next 25 years if every person on earth is to have access to enough energy to enable prosperity and security. The measure was reportedly the product of the release of pornographic AI-made images of Taylor Swift on Twitter. On Thursday, more than two-thirds of House Democrats voted against legislation for deporting non-citizens who are convicted of DUIs, though it did pass with bipartisan support. Seven lawmakers, including three Republicans and four Democrats, did not cast a vote. The bill, which seeks to amend the Immigration and Nationality Act to stipulate that non-citizens “who have been convicted of or who have committed an offense for driving while intoxicated or impaired” by drugs or alcohol “are inadmissible and deportable,” was introduced by Rep. Although the reported Biden Doctrine has absolutely no chance of being implemented, it could succeed in further isolating Israel. O’Neil: New Research on ‘Conversion Therapy’ Turns LGBTQ Narrative on Its Head
Twenty-seven states and Washington, D.C., have banned efforts to change sexual orientation, commonly but mistakenly referred to as “conversion therapy,” for minors on the premise that therapies seeking to mitigate or resolve unwanted same-sex attraction are inherently harmful and increase the risk of suicide. Father Paul Sullins, a Roman Catholic priest, senior research associate at The Ruth Institute, and former sociology professor at Catholic University, found that the opposite is true, however. Not only is there no evidence that efforts to change sexual orientation, which Sullins refers to by the acronym SOCE, increase the risk of suicide among those who identify as lesbian, gay, or bisexual. There also is evidence that such efforts actually decrease the risk of suicide or thoughts of suicide among them. “What we’re left with is a situation where we’re being fed a lie that somehow attempting to change sexual orientation is going to fail all the time and it’s going to cause harm, and the truth is just the opposite,” Sullins tells “The Daily Signal Podcast.”

He was then carried away from the scene by the four other men who had been standing with him, who were immediately joined by other Palestinians, including one who appears to have been a young relative. The whole scene was captured by an ITV cameraman. When the shooting appeared on ITV, the news reader left the clear impression, without the slightest evidence, that an Israeli sniper had killed him. Immediately the same story about an Israeli sniper killing an innocent Palestinian civilian appeared on all the major news outlets — agencies including AP, UPI, and AFP, and broadcasting channels including the BBC, MSNBC, and CNN, all echoed one another: “Israeli sniper kills Palestinian Ramzi Abu Sahloul.”

Schrupp: California’s new slavery reparations legislation dumps planned cash payments
“While many only associate direct cash payment with reparations the true meaning of the word, to repair, involves much more,” said Assemblymember and California Legislative Black Caucus chair Lori D Wilson, D-Suisan City. “This year’s legislative package tackles a wide range of issues; from criminal justice reforms to poverty rights to education, civil rights and food justice.” Chief among the proposals is ACA 7, a bill from Assemblymember Corey Jackson, D-Moreno Valley, that would create an exemption to the state constitution’s ban on racial discrimination or preferences in public employment, education, and contracting. This exemption would allow for state programs “for purposes of increasing the life expectancy of, improving educational outcomes for, or lifting out of poverty specific groups based on race, color, ethnicity, national origin, or marginalized genders, sexes, or sexual orientations.”

A billionaire donor to Harvard University said it and other elite schools create “whiny snowflakes” and vowed not to donate to the institution until that changes. “Which way are we gonna pick?” Citadel CEO Ken Griffin asked CNBC’s Leslie Picker Tuesday at the MFA Network’s Miami conference. “Are we gonna educate the future members of the House and the Senate and the leaders of IBM, or are we gonna educate a group of young men and women who are just caught up in a rhetoric of oppressor and oppressee and ‘this is not fair’ and, frankly, just, like, whiny snowflakes? Like, where are we going with education in elite schools in America? And that’s a really big issue.” Picker then asked Griffin if he was still supporting Harvard financially, to which he responded with a terse, “No.”
