“The ammunition background checks laws have no historical pedigree and operate in such a way that they violate the Second Amendment right of citizens to keep and bear arms,” wrote United States District Judge Roger Benitez. “The anti-importation components violate the dormant Commerce Clause and to the extent applicable to individuals travelling into California are preempted by [U.S. federal law]. Perhaps the simpler, 4-year and $50 ammunition purchase permit approved by the voters in Proposition 63, would have fared better.” California voters passed Proposition 63 in 2016, . . .

This was a purely political action pushed by the commission’s three Democrat appointees. Facing fierce backlash from investors, the public, and Congress, the SEC has delayed, for the moment, formally imposing the rule.

The leftist governor was fine with purchases of lottery tickets and liquor, but not gardening tools and seeds. […] I have argued in the past that what Whitmer was doing in Michigan was a part of this agenda – That her garden supply ban was part of a wider goal that had nothing to do with public health safety and everything to do with stopping people from prepping. The covid controls were only meant to be a precursor to carbon controls. This past week we have seen more confirmation of this, as a study out of the University of Michigan claims that homegrown foods produce five times more carbon emissions than industrial farming methods. In other words, private gardens could be considered a threat to the environment. The Telegraph and other corporate platforms have jumped on the story, and I believe this is cause for concern.

In my book, The Brain Death Fallacy, I quote neurologist James Bernat: “How the brain generates conscious awareness remains the most intractable mystery of and the greatest remaining challenge to neuroscience. As of 2018, neuroscientists have mapped many of the important connections necessary for human consciousness, but the essential neurophysiological and neurophilosophical problem of how brain tissue yields human subjective experience remains almost completely unknown.” […] If the brain is who we are, suffering a stroke causes not only the loss of physical function, but the loss of part of our humanity. None of us would deny the humanity of a stroke victim, but this same logic leads to categorizing people with severe brain damage as being somehow “dead.” Conveniently, this removes their civil rights and allows their bodies to be plundered for their valuable, viable organs. Dr. Robert Truog wrote about “brain dead” patient Jahi McMath in the American Medical Association (AMA) Journal of Ethics: […] In October of 2023, the American Academy of Neurology (AAN) published an updated brain death guideline, which makes it easier to declare a person brain dead. This new guideline allows people with continuing brain functions to be declared dead. It also substitutes the term “permanent,” for the legal requirement of “irreversible.” The AAN defines “permanent” to mean the brain injury will not resolve spontaneously, and that medical interventions will not be used to fix the problem. Thus, under this new guideline people can be declared “dead already” and their organs harvested because their doctors do not intend to treat their condition. Because we are not our brains, brain function or nonfunction does not define who we are, much less whether we are dead or alive. With ongoing medical care, people can recover from a brain death diagnosis.

The whole scene was captured by an ITV cameraman. When the shooting appeared on ITV, the news reader left the clear impression, without the slightest evidence, that an Israeli sniper had killed him. Immediately the same story about an Israeli sniper killing an innocent Palestinian civilian appeared on all the major news outlets — agencies including AP, UPI, and AFP, and broadcasting channels including the BBC, MSNBC, and CNN, all echoed one another: “Israeli sniper kills Palestinian Ramzi Abu Sahloul.”

Alzheimer’s can spread between humans, a groundbreaking study revealed today. Experts have found evidence of at least five people ‘catching’ the memory-robbing disorder from now-banned hormone treatments. The patients were among 1,848 people injected with growth hormones riddled with toxic amyloid-beta protein ‘seeds’, or prions, as children. All five came down with the same rare early-onset form of the devastating dementia condition. Others who received the same treatment are now considered ‘at risk’. Between 1958 and 1985, abnormally short children in the UK and the US were given hormones harvested from cadavers to help spur their growth. The technique was then banned and doctors instead used synthetic hormones after it emerged that some batches were contaminated with prions that led to a fatal and incurable brain disorder called Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease (CJD). CJD itself is closely related to ‘mad cow’ disease. Academics now believe other medical and surgical procedures might carry a risk of spreading Alzheimer’s as prions — which accumulate in the brain and kill neurons —can survive hospital sterilisation methods.
