Mitch McConnell (R-KY) Senate Minority Leader on Thursday said: “I think at least half the Democrats are hostile to Israel, the rest of them are afraid of those who are hostile to Israel. And you see that reflected in the pressure the president’s put on the Israelis for a premature cease-fire, which, I gather, has just been announced. I think it’s important to remember, Israel is up against a terrorist organization. Hamas does not represent Palestinians. It’s a terrorist organization, lobbing shells onto civilians in Israel. Israel, on the other hand, listen to this, will call up people in a building they’re going to hit and say, please get out of the building, we don’t want to kill you, but we’re going to take out the building. There’s no moral equivalency between Hamas and Israel.”

Dr. Brad Lyles contributor to Canada Free Press: Now, in the 2020s, the Primary Rule of Republican Fight Club needs to be: “Don’t talk to Pravda.” Just as the newspaper Pravda served as the mouthpiece of the Soviet Communist Party, today’s “Mainstream Media” functions almost exclusively as the mouthpiece of the Democrat Party. This is not so unusual given that the “Mainstream Media” and the Democrat Party are each doing their best to usher in a new Age of American Marxism/Communism – and as fast as they can.

Dan Gelernter contributor to American Greatness: If you really want to persuade me to take the vaccine, all you have to do is show that it is effective and harmless over time. Financial pressure isn’t necessary, and neither is “shaming”—conceptually reminiscent of the Chinese “struggle sessions,” where a victim confesses his sin against society and everyone spends a few minutes screaming and hurling abuse at him to cleanse him. Such techniques are very effective, but you need a totalitarian dictatorship to make them work.

James V. DeLong makes the case for therapeutic Ivermectin to treat COVID-19: The psychological barriers to accepting FLCCC’s analyses are strong, because it strains credulity to believe that the public health authorities, Big Pharma, and our political overlords are so divorced from reality and morality as to reject a well known and quite safe life-saving drug. But a great deal of current public policy, ranging from climate change to gender identity to election integrity to foreign policy, bears little connection to reality, and the powers that be are under heavy financial and reputational pressure to deny ivermectin.

Urbanski: Republicans victorious in PA as voters make it easier to limit Democratic Gov. Tom Wolf’s emergency powers in face of COVID-19 shutdown
Pennsylvania Republicans got a big win earlier this week after voters decided to make it easier for the state legislature to limit the emergency powers of the governor — in this case, Democratic Gov. Tom Wolf, WHYY-TV reported. The decision came through a pair of ballot measures voters narrowly passed, the station said. […] . . . one of the constitutional amendments voters approved gives lawmakers the ability to end emergency orders with a simple majority vote, the station said. The second measure limits the governor’s emergency orders to 21 days.

Billingsley: Reflections on the Biden vs. Begin Collision
Back on June 22, 1982, Sen. Biden met a fighter of a different sort, Israeli prime minister Menachem Begin, a veteran of Israel’s war of independence and survivor of Arab wars against Israel from 1948 onward. Under the Camp David Accords, brokered by President Jimmy Carter, Israel returned to Egypt the Sinai Peninsula, occupied during the 1967 war. Begin and Anwar Sadat were jointly awarded the Nobel Prize for Peace in 1978. On June 22, 1982, while Israel was tangling with the PLO in Lebanon, Menachem Begin appeared in a Senate Foreign Relations Committee hearing. Sen. Biden told Begin that if Israel did not immediately cease building settlements in Judea and Samaria, the United States would cut off economic aid to Israel. “Don’t threaten us with cutting off your aid. It will not work,” Begin responded. “I am not a Jew with trembling knees. I am a . . . Biden then raised his voice at Begin and banged twice on the table.
“This desk is designed for writing, not for fists.” Begin said. “Don’t threaten us . . .

Flanders: Joe Biden Plans To Revive School Rules Punishing Kids According To Skin Color
In his continuing effort to appease the far left, President Biden is looking at re-implementing race-based school discipline policies from the Obama administration. Based on the assumption that differences in suspension and expulsion rates along racial lines must indicate racism, the U.S. Department of Education issued guidance that led schools to implement discipline quotas based on the color of a student’s skin. As a result of this guidance, suspension rates fell across the country. This policy was reversed under President Trump, but the current administration is ready to bring them back. To claim differences in suspension rates by racial group are wholly the result of racism is based on shaky evidence at best. As has been pointed out by Heather MacDonald, once prior student behavior is accounted for, the effect of race on suspensions largely disappears, according to research published in the Journal of Criminal Justice. […] Horror stories abound nationwide of teachers who face students emboldened by a lack of consequences for misbehavior. Nearly 6 percent of teachers nationwide reported that they had been assaulted, according to a 2018 study. That’s one in twenty teachers. […] As bad as the Obama administration was on discipline policy, it is likely that the Biden administration would be even worse. The administration has shown a willingness to . . .
