Daily News Roundup

Jack Gleason contributor to American Thinker: We are two worlds living together. Those on the right see science as a tool to learn and improve, the Left sees science as something they can manipulate in order to justify their agenda. The Right sees past mistakes as necessary for learning and improvement, while those on the left see those same mistakes as cause for condemnation and retaliation. Wrongs made by ancestors in the past must be corrected by punishing their descendants in the present.

Steve Bannon host of Bannons War Room Pandemic: “We’re in a time right now with a government that has its foot on the pedal driving us over a cliff. Not only are we going to have a Constitutional crisis about Nov. 3, we’re going to have a capital and financial markets crisis because they are destroying the dollar as we speak.”

Jim Hanson contributor to the Federalist: The Biden administration just released a “National Strategy for Countering Domestic Terrorism.” It calls for abuses of state power to combine elements of totalitarian government with social and cultural engineering. They decided the Constitution and those pesky old individual liberties won’t stop them from making America the Wokest Place on Earth.

Pedro Gonzalez contributor to American Greatness: The funny thing about domestic extremism is that it does not lurk in trailer parks or underground bunkers. Instead, its source is the ruling class and the institutions it controls, and through force, fraud, and terror continues to impose its will over Americans.

Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) explains why she will introduce legislation to abolish the ATF: “Joe Biden and the radical, anti-gun Democrats want to unleash the ATF on law-abiding gun owners across America, attacking our God-given Second Amendment right to keep and bear arms. The ATF’s ongoing, unconstitutional attacks on the Second Amendment must end.”

Darren Beattie founder of Revolver: If it turns out that the federal government (FBI, Army Counterintelligence, or a similar agency) had undercover agents or confidential informants embedded in any of the groups involved in 1/6, the “federal intelligence agencies failing to warn of a potential for violence” looks less like an innocent mistake and more like something sinister.

Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) tweet: We need names and answers about the FBI operatives, who were involved in organizing and carrying out the Jan 6th Capitol riot. First they had a “back up plan” to stop Trump in Russia Collusion witch hunt, now we are finding out they were deeply involved in Jan 6th. Deep State.

Edwin Mora contributor to Breitbart: President Joe Biden is allowing Central American economic migrants with pending asylum claims — not just approved claims — to have the Department of State fly their families on the American taxpayer dime to live with them in the U.S.

Governor Ron DeSantis (R-FL) in a press conference on Wednesday: “The Biden Administration ended policies implemented by President Trump that were curbing illegal immigration, securing our border, and keeping Americans safe. Governors Abbott and Ducey recently sent out a call for help to every state in the nation…I’m proud to announce today that the state of Florida is answering the call. Florida has your back.”

Daniel Greenfield contributor to Frontpage Magazine: The Left doesn’t give up. Sometimes it feels like leftists have been trying to destroy Masterpiece Cakeshop forever, but it’s only been around a decade. And the small shop is now facing its fourth lawsuit all to compel one man to bake a cake.

Saavedra: Trump Announces First Post-Presidential Rally In Support Of Congressional Candidate
“President Donald J. Trump, 45th President of the United States of America, will hold a major rally in Wellington, Ohio on Saturday, June 26, 2021 at 7:00PM EDT,” Trump’s Save America PAC said in a statement. “This Save America rally marks President Trump’s first of many appearances in support of candidates and causes that further the MAGA agenda and accomplishments of President Trump’s administration.”

Bannons War Room: Powell Exposes Corrupt Federal Prosecutors And How They Target Innocent People With Fake Crimes
Sidney Powell: I saw prosecutors make up crimes by piecing parts of two different statutes together and hide evidence that showed people were innocent. Federal prosecutors are absolutely corrupt.

Benson: McCabe: We Still Don’t Really Know the ‘Objective’ of the Guy Who Shot Up That GOP Baseball Practice
The anchor correctly notes that the shooter who nearly murdered Rep. Steve Scalise (R-LA) asked whether the Congressman practicing on the northern Virginia baseball field that day were Republicans before opening fire. Even McCabe calls it “undeniable” that GOP members were the target. But he adds a bizarre note of obfuscation about the FBI not really knowing “what that shooter was up to,” or what his true objective was. This seems to align with the Bureau’s creepy and outrageous decision not to classify the horror as the politically-motivated attempted mass-assassination that it so clearly was, instead categorizing it as an instance of ‘suicide by cop.’ Under pressure, the FBI finally re-classified it as an act of domestic terror last month, years after the incident. The agency has been talking about the attack extremely weirdly since it happened. Here’s part of an AP report from 2017: . . .

Revolver: Unindicted Co-Conspirators in 1/6 Cases Raise Disturbing Questions of Federal Foreknowledge
Christopher Wray is able to uncomfortably weasel his way out of answering the question directly, partially because Klobuchar does him the courtesy of not asking him the question directly. Klobuchar instead asks the FBI director if he wishes he had infiltrated the militia organizations allegedly involved in 1/6 — assuming from the outset that there was in fact no infiltration, thereby providing the FBI director an easy way to avoid addressing the question one way or another. Revolver News is willing to address the matter directly in the following three questions: In the year leading up to 1/6 and during 1/6 itself, to what extent were the three primary militia groups (the Oath Keepers, the Proud Boys, and the Three Percenters) that the FBI, DOJ, Pentagon and network news have labeled most responsible for planning and executing a Capitol attack on 1/6 infiltrated by agencies of the federal government, or informants of said agencies? Exactly how many federal undercover agents or confidential informants . . .? Finally, of all of the unindicted co-conspirators referenced in the charging documents of those indicted for crimes on 1/6, how many worked as . . . ? From now on, all discussion of 1/6 must give way to a laser-like focus on the questions above, with an unwavering persistence at obtaining the answers.

Matt Gaetz and Paul Gosar Lead Congressional Charge for “Real Answers” After Explosive Revolver Investigation of Jan. 6th
First, the backstory. In a report published late Sunday night, Revolver explored the federal indictments against members of the Proud Boys and Oathkeepers, and found that the leading planners and provocateurs of the 1/6 incursion weren’t the individuals who have been publicly charged with crimes, but the unindicted persons who were present at the Capitol alongside them.[…] Late Tuesday, in the wake of Revolver’s investigation, Congressman Matt Gaetz of Florida sent a letter to FBI Director Christopher Wray demanding to know how many undercover federal agents and informants were present at the Capitol, what roles they played, and how many of them had infiltrated the Proud Boys, Oathkeepers, and Three Percenters: . . . Gaetz wasn’t alone. In a hearing Tuesday afternoon, Rep. Paul Gosar interrogated Director Wray about Revolver’s findings, and read its most recent article into the Congressional Record: . . .

Morefield: A Group Of Parents Sent Their Kids’ Face Masks to A Lab for Analysis. Here’s What They Found
We’ve been told for well over a year that widespread forced public masking should be implemented because, even if only moderately to slightly to negligibly effective at curbing the spread of COVID-19, there are ZERO drawbacks. “What’s the harm?” they ask. “It’s only a minor inconvenience,” they bleat.
“If it saves ONE LIFE, it’s worth it!” they implore. […] Gainesville, FL (June 16, 2021) – A group of parents in Gainesville, FL, concerned about potential harms from masks, submitted six face masks to a lab for analysis. The resulting report found that five masks were contaminated with bacteria, parasites, and fungi, including three with dangerous pathogenic and pneumonia-causing bacteria. No viruses were detected on the masks, although the test is capable of detecting viruses. The analysis detected the following 11 alarmingly dangerous pathogens on the masks: . . . Half of the masks were contaminated with one or more strains of pneumonia-causing bacteria. One-third were contaminated with . . . […] The face masks studied were new or freshly-laundered before wearing and had been worn for 5 to 8 hours, most during in-person schooling by children aged 6 through 11. […] The below chart, put together by the group of parents, shows the potential dangers from each pathogen: . . .

Bawer: The New Children’s Crusade
On March 2, 2021 – celebrated as Read Across America Day – Dr. Seuss Enterprises, which manages the estate of the late children’s author, announced that after consulting “with a panel of experts, including educators” it had decided to cease publication and licensing of the following books: And to Think That I Saw It on Mulberry Street, If I Ran the Zoo, McElligot’s Pool, On Beyond Zebra!, Scrambled Eggs Super!, and The Cat’s Quizzer. What was the problem with these books? According to DSE, they “portray people in ways that are hurtful and wrong.” . . . These aren’t the only children’s books being canceled these days. Former New York Times columnist Bari Weiss recently noted the removal from high school curricula of such classics as . . . But fear not! To commemorate Read across America, the National Education Association (NEA) has compiled a list of recommended titles for kids, most of which are explicitly designed to indoctrinate children in some aspect of woke ideology. Some are more innocuous than others. […] Forbes called The Prince and the Dressmaker a “Genderqueer fairy tale.” It’s a popular category in today’s kid lit. Another example: Heather Gale’s Ho’onani: Hula Warrior (Tundra, 2019, 40 pages), the story of a girl who “doesn’t see herself as wahine (girl) OR kane (boy)” and wants to lead the traditionally all-male hula troupe. Immigrant children are also a common topic.

Exclusive — ‘Stunning’: House Conservatives Tank Two Democrat Bills, Endangering Pelosi-Biden Agenda
Specifically, Pelosi had attempted to use a procedure called “suspension of the rules” — which requires a two-thirds supermajority of the House to succeed — to pass two highly controversial pieces of legislation. One, the LGBTQ Business Equal Credit Enforcement and Investment Act, would have allowed for LGBTQ-owned businesses to get favoritism in lending in much the same way minority-owned businesses may. The other, called the Equal Access to Contraception for Veterans Act, would have facilitated government-funded access to abortion drugs through the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA). After an effort led by Biggs and other House conservatives like Reps. Matt Rosendale (R-MT) and Chip Roy (R-TX) among others, the bills failed to achieve the two-thirds necessary to make it through the House and were stopped from passing the chamber for now. […] According to the roll call of the votes on the House Clerk website, both votes failed. The LGBTQ bill failed after garnering 248 votes in favor with 177 opposed and five members not voting. The VA abortion bill failed by a wider margin, getting 240 votes in favor with 188 opposed and two members not voting. […] “The failure of these bills shows that the Freedom Caucus strategy to fight the Democratic majority using all the procedure at their disposal is working,” . . .

Rodgers: EXCLUSIVE: House Republicans Call On Sheila Jackson Lee To Hold Hearing Over Democrats’ Pushes To Defund Police
The letter, first obtained by the Daily Caller, was spearheaded by the Ranking Member on the Subcommittee Arizona Andy Biggs and was signed by all the Republicans on the subcommittee as well as Judiciary Committee Ranking Member Jim Jordan. In the letter, the 10 Republicans called on Lee to “immediately” schedule a hearing on calls to “defund the police” and the “corresponding increase” in violence in American cities. The GOP lawmakers also listed statistics from different cities where crime has spiked.

Hunt: Fighting Critical Race Theory, One Door at a Time
A vigorous fight in a small Texas city unseated advocates of a pernicious racial theory. The tide is turning in the fight against Critical Race Theory (CRT). Following the exposure in 2020 of CRT training in agencies throughout American government, the Trump Administration issued a ban on CRT at the federal level. President Biden overturned that ban on his first day in office, but the war has gone on—and it’s turning in the direction of reason, common sense, and the American tradition of equality before the law. State legislatures from Texas to Florida have put forward bans on critical race theory. Meanwhile, local activists and parents have taken the fight to their local school boards. On May 1, two school board candidates in Southlake, Texas converted these media, administrative, and legislative advances into a political win. In a high turnout election marked by intense media coverage, the two anti-CRT candidates for the Carroll ISD School Board won in a landslide—by a 40-point margin. […] More than twice as many Republicans voted in the 2021 Carroll ISD election than had voted in any previous May election. In fact, more GOP voters turned out to vote than had turned out in the last two Republican primary elections for President and U.S. Senate! But massive turnout among independent voters was key to the victory over CRT. […] There are four lessons to learn from the Southlake victory:. . .

Green: Sometimes a Coincidence isn’t a Coincidence
Coincidences are interesting things. They’re considered remarkable because their combined occurrence seems improbable. But sometimes, improbable occurrences really happen. Lightning really has struck the same location twice — on rare occasions. But when coincidences start to stack up, their probability of jointly occurring becomes exceedingly low. One begins to wonder if they are not coincidences at all. Could they really be linked outcomes from the same underlying root cause? In the past year and a half, we have witnessed a remarkable string of apparent coincidences. Dr. Fauci sponsored “gain of function” research at the Wuhan Institute of Virology. Put simply, this work increases a virus’s ability to cause disease. It makes a virus more dangerous. Coincidentally, we’re now learning that COVID-19 originated from the Wuhan Institute of Virology. The COVID-19 virus spread throughout the world in the early months of 2020. Coincidentally, this was at the same time that Donald Trump was ratcheting up sanctions against China and rallying worldwide support. The pandemic resulting from COVID-19 was used as rationale for fundamental changes to our election processes. These changes . . . […] In the past week we learned that the Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA) has a high-level defector from China — whom they’re not sharing with the FBI or CIA. This defector is providing evidence that COVID-19 . . . […] Representative Matt Gaetz aggressively questioned FBI Director Christopher Wray about the FBI’s behavior relative to COVID-19 scientific whistleblowers. Shortly after this questioning, the press began a series of stories insinuating that Gaetz had . . . Coincidentally, this is all happening at a time when China is is making substantial investments in American . . . This seems that an unbelievable number of happenstance occurrences have all benefited China. Is it possible that these events are not coincidences at all, but are rather engineered outcomes in support of a higher objective? If so, it raises a number of questions. Are the FBI and CIA . . .

Westcott & Xiong: China to send first astronauts to new space station on longest crewed mission to date
China’s Manned Space Engineering Office made the announcement at a news conference on Wednesday, saying the launch would take place at 9:22 a.m. Beijing time (9:22 p.m. ET) Thursday from Jiuquan Space Launch Center in the Gobi Desert. The mission, called Shenzhou-12 or Divine Vessel, is the first of four planned Tiangong missions, according to state media, and marks a significant milestone in China’s rapidly expanding space program. In the past seven months, the country’s scientists have already successfully landed exploratory rovers on the moon in December and on Mars in May.

Saavedra: Biden Ignites Firestorm Over What He Told Putin On Cyberattacks: ‘One Of The Most Pathetic Moments’ In U.S. ‘Diplomatic History’
Democrat President Joe Biden ignited a firestorm on Wednesday over remarks that he made to Russian President Vladimir Putin in response to recent cyberattacks that have hamstrung critical U.S. infrastructure. “Another area we spent a great deal of time on was cyber and cybersecurity,” Biden said. “I talked about the proposition that certain critical infrastructure should be off limits to attack — period — by cyber or any other means. I gave them a list, if I’m not mistaken — I don’t have it in front of me — 16 specific entities; 16 defined as critical infrastructure under U.S. policy, from the energy sector to our water systems.” […] Rebeccah Heinrichs, Senior Fellow at the Hudson Institute, wrote: “This is essentially inviting Putin to attack literally everything else.” Conservative Noah Pollak responded to Biden’s remarks by writing on Twitter: . . . National Review Senior Writer David Harsanyi wrote: . . .

Daily Wire News: Ex-Navy SEAL Commander On Biden-Putin Meeting: ‘Biden Failed,’ ‘Helped Perpetuate’ Image Putin Wants
When asked about recent reports that the U.S. had to scramble three F-22s to respond to Russian military exercises off the coast of Hawaii and how the incident was reportedly not brought up at the meeting, Sears said, “It’s obviously a test and President Biden failed.” […] “We should be showing our cyber capabilities, you need to demonstrate quid pro quo with these guys,” Sears later added. “I mean, you need to demonstrate strength, they can sniff out weakness and they will crush you.”

Roach: Biden Leaves His Bunker To Take On Putin
America needs to set aside sentimental concerns for an outdated alliance or Russia’s internal affairs and focus on our shared foreign policy interests with Russia—which include containing China. […] Biden’s one-on-one with Putin was more important because NATO and the American foreign policy establishment view Russia as a threat. The head of NATO said relations with Russia were the worst they have been since the Cold War. Even so, Putin described the meeting as “constructive” and business-like, and Biden agreed, saying it was “positive.” Biden has been especially critical of Russia, having earlier mocked Putin as having “no soul” and describing him as “a killer.” More than a matter of foreign policy, anti-Russia sentiment was also central to the Democrats’ criticism of Trump’s 2016 victory—what became the Russian collusion myth. Everyone in the smart set is anti-Russian these days. Good meeting or not, there is an anti-Russian consensus among the American foreign policy establishment that spans both parties. Unfortunately, this consensus provides no benefit to the American people.

Hanson: White House ‘Domestic Extremism’ Report Puts Target On Democrats’ Political Opponents
Yet the Biden team seems incapable of seeing any domestic terror threats on the political left. Their aim is directly at right-wing groups and causes, which unsurprisingly dovetails perfectly with their goal of remaking our whole country. And they’re not shy about saying so. From the strategy: That means tackling racism in America. It means protecting Americans from gun violence and mass murders. It means ensuring that we provide early intervention and appropriate care for those who pose a danger to themselves or others. It means ensuring that Americans receive the type of civics education that promotes tolerance and respect for all and investing in policies and programs that foster civic engagement and inspire a shared commitment to American democracy, all the while acknowledging when racism and bigotry have meant that the country fell short of living up to its founding principles. It reads like a press release from Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, not a serious look at the dangers we face. But the left has never seen a “problem” that didn’t need a serious dose of more government control. So, in their usual mode of not letting a crisis go to waste, they are crying havoc and letting slip the dogs of state power. More strategy: . . .
[…] Translation: “Your ideas are dangerous to our ability to aggregate state power, and we are going to shut you down.”

Saavedra: Federal Reserve Delivers Bad News About Expectations For Inflation, Raising Interest Rates: Report
The Federal Reserve has significantly increased its expectations for inflation this year following massive government spending from Democrat President Joe Biden. On Wednesday, The Federal Reserve “considerably raised its expectations for inflation this year and brought forward the time frame on when it will next raise interest rates,” CNBC reported. “However, the central bank gave no indication as to when it will begin cutting back on its aggressive bond-buying program, though Fed Chairman Jerome Powell acknowledged that officials discussed the issue at the meeting.” Officials said that increases in interest rates could come as soon as after the 2022 midterms in 2023. However, they previously said that interest rates would not increase until at least 2024.

Zanotti: Chuck Schumer Will Trigger Senate Reconciliation Process For $4T Biden Infrastructure And Economics Plan
Schumer told media that he is “meeting with all 11 Democratic members of the Senate Budget Committee on Wednesday to begin the process for passing a budget resolution, paving the way for Democrats to pass a major infrastructure bill on a party-line vote,” if a number of key moderate Senators, including Sen. Joe Manchin (D-WV) and Sen. Kyrsten Sinema (D-AZ), agree to key elements of the plan. […] The Biden White House had hoped to negotiate with Republicans on elements of the infrastructure bill but ran into difficulty earlier this year when Republicans suggested an “infrastructure bill” should be focused on repairing and replacing physical infrastructure, rather than on financing a major expansion of government welfare programs.

Giaritelli: ICE to place migrant families in hotel to avoid releasing onto Arizona streets
Federal immigration officials in Arizona plan to place in a hotel migrant families who have illegally come across the U.S.-Mexico border as part of an effort to avoid openly releasing people onto the street, according to a border mayor. […] Yuma Mayor Doug Nicholls criticized the plan in a phone call Tuesday, saying he believes the plan to rely on a hotel “actually encourages” more people to make the journey to the U.S. and cross the border because migrants “know how they’re going to be released to an American hotel where they get room service and other — whatever’s going on.” […] This latest hotel that ICE is moving families into in Arizona is being funded by an $87 million contract that ICE gave to Family Endeavors in March. The contract was awarded without a competitive bidding process and was supposed to house 1,200 people across seven hotels in preselected cities in Arizona and Texas. Yuma was not on the list, and ICE has not shared why Family Endeavors is veering from its plan.

Bedford: A Who’s Who Of Left-Wing Hacks: Behind The Aspen Institute’s Upcoming Report On Silencing Dissent
And you better believe “the right types of people” are sitting on the institute’s Commission on Information Disorder. Behind the psychiatric name, the commission is a group of liberal activists, donors, journalists and tech executives, a disgraced foreign royal, and even a corporate “senior vice president of social impact,” who must be in charge of all the junior corporate vice presidents for diversity. For the past six months, this liberal Dream Team has been hard at work on their big report to help the federal government work with corporations to squash news they call “disinformation.” So what will this “disinformation” be? A look at the commissioners hints strongly that it will be you, me, and anyone else who disagrees with Katie Couric and her left-wing friends.[…] The 14-person commission includes one Republican, former Rep. Will Hurd. Hurd’s inclusion was characterized by American Principles Project President Terry Schilling as part of “the typical progressive playbook of ‘Let’s pretend we aren’t biased, let’s pretend we’re non-partisan, we’ll include a token Republican who’s not really conservative to say that it’s bipartisan.”

Patterson: Do Climate Alarmists Believe Their Own Predictions?
In public discourse, it’s considered bad form to insult your opponent’s integrity. But it’s almost impossible to believe that climate alarmists believe their own apocalyptic predictions. Greta Thunberg, Al Gore, and other experts sternly warned that our planet will be an uninhabitable, unsalvageable oven unless within 15 years (now 10 or 12) we bend all human activity to the goal of eliminating carbon emissions. If true, this creates an obvious moral imperative.

VDH: A Chinese Lab Virus? So Now What?
or over a year, the American establishment and media borg have ostracized anyone who dared to connect the origins of the COVID-19 pandemic with the Chinese military-sponsored, level-4 biosafety Wuhan Institute of Virology. Then, suddenly and without apologies for their past demagoguery, “journalists” and “experts” concede that the nearby Wuhan lab may well be the most likely genesis. Why the abrupt change? Donald Trump is no longer president. There is now no need for progressives to declare everything Trump once asserted as truth a lie. And that paradox includes Trump’s spring 2020 insistence that the lab, not a wet market of sliced-up bats, was the source of the outbreak. The recent release of Anthony Fauci’s emails, along with the new information about Dr. Peter Daszak’s gain-of-function research, make it indisputable that both were knowingly channeling U.S. taxpayer dollars to the Chinese for coronavirus research in Wuhan. So now what? We are left with a number of lose-lose scenarios about China’s failed efforts to lie about the origins of COVID-19. One, . . .
