Tom Fitton president of Judicial Watch: “These are dangerous times we’re living in terms of having the government being at war with constitutional liberties.”

Steve McCann contributor to American Thinker: I have experienced first-hand the tyranny and devastation wrought by totalitarianism. What we are witnessing with the success of the decades long war on the culture and the radicalization of the education establishment combined with the exploitation of January 6, 2021 is the onset of the final stage of a constitutional republic and the rise of a permanent authoritarian one-party oligarchy.  This is no longer a squabble between political factions.  I implore every American to wake up and become politically active on the local, state, and federal level before it is too late.

Sundance contributor to The Last Refuge finds, buried in a Political article, an escalation in censorship by the DNC and Biden administration: Fact checking your SMS text messages through your carrier, your cell phone or internet provider. This is a rather remarkable escalation in totalitarian censorship instruction.

Stacy Lennox contributor to PJMedia: Thanks to the convergence of groups like the WEF, international banks, and BlackRock insisting on green investments, do not be surprised to see demands placed on individual Americans. In several years it may not be possible to get a loan for a traditional gas-powered vehicle. Mortgages may be contingent on homebuyers spending tens of thousands of dollars on green-energy upgrades. These examples are just a few of the ways global elites can force regular Americans to relinquish their private property . . .

Daniel Greenfield contributor to Frontpage Magazine: Not satisfied with turning Border Patrol agents into ‘coyotes’ delivering illegal aliens deep into America, it will also have them hand out “information on naturalization” to resident aliens.

Matthew Vadum contributor to Frontpage Magazine: But does the Biden-Harris administration, which is fine with communist-inspired critical race theory indoctrination stateside and the ongoing terrorism of Black Lives Matter, really want to help the Cuban people throw off their socialist shackles? Don’t count on it.

Paul du Quenoy contributor to American Greatness: Why can’t the Biden Administration support oppressed people taking enormous risks for their freedom from socialism? The reason is simple. The Cubans are protesting against socialism and not in favor of it. What honest Biden Administration official or compliant D.C. bureaucrat would risk antagonizing a broad swath of the Democratic Party by suggesting that socialism is a source of, rather than a solution to, any form of oppression, . . .

Dylan Housman contributor to The Daily Caller: The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) issued a warning Monday that the Johnson & Johnson COVID-19 vaccine could be linked to a rare neurological condition called Guillain-Barré syndrome. FDA regulators found that recipients of the J&J shot may be three-to-five times more likely to develop the disorder than the general population.

Zaid Jilani contributor to The American Mind: Chris Rufo and others in his vein have given conservatives hope because they offered them new solutions to deal with new problems. If Conservatism, Inc. wants to regain its relevance, it must start innovating again and end its reliance on outdated ideas.

Allison Hopper in a Scientific American op-ed created this sentence out of whole cloth: Dark skin has a different, more problematic origin. As the biblical story goes, the curse or mark of Cain for killing his brother was a darkening of his descendants’ skin. Historically, many congregations in the U.S. pointed to this story of Cain as evidence that Black skin was created as a punishment.

Chrissy Clark contributor to Daily Wire exposes Wisconsin school district providing sexually explicit material to third graders: The book “Queer,” which parents dubbed “sexually explicit,” provides students with an in-depth analysis of anal sex, oral sex, one-night stands, and “vaginal sex with dildos.” The book also discusses the relationship between God and the LGBT community.

Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-CO) hits back at  Rep. Alexandria Ocasio Cortez (D-NY)  for mocking her conservative values:  ‘I’ll keep fighting for a country that allows fools like you to have two apartments and a Tesla’.

Housman: REPORT: The DNC Wants Phone Companies To Police Text Messages For Vaccine Misinformation
The Democratic National Committee reportedly wants Short Message Service (SMS) carriers to step in and police private text messages as part of a new push against COVID-19 vaccine misinformation. Allies of President Joe Biden, including the DNC, plan to “engage fact-checkers more aggressively” and work alongside phone companies to combat misinformation about vaccines shared via social media and private SMS messages, according to a Monday report from Politico.

Sundance: Wow, It was McSwain – President Trump Releases US Attorney Letter Notifying Him of Bill Barr Efforts to Block Investigation of Election Fraud
Yesterday we were uncertain if it was US Attorney William M McSwain who notified President trump of Bill Barr’s corruption and blocking of election investigations. {Go Deep} Today President Trump released the letter confirming it was McSwain. [pdf HERE] […] There’s a big difference between not seeing election fraud and purposefully blocking a United States Attorney from investigating allegations of fraud with a motive not to see it. This is blood-boiling: . . .

McCann: So Much Evidence that January 6, 2021 was a Calculated Set-Up
Political persecution and isolation of vast swaths of the citizenry by the Justice Department, the Intelligence Community and the Judiciary in the wake of the January 6, 2021 Capitol incursion should bring a chill down the spine of every American. This same troika, but with different nomenclature, was mobilized by 20th Century despots to eliminate their political enemies and establish a police state. (I attended the January 6, 2021 rally at the U.S. Capitol and observed first-hand what the media and the Democrats have falsely and with malice claimed was an “armed insurrection.”) The initial step in consolidating power is to incessantly demonize as enemies of the state one’s political opponents. The second, is to isolate and delegitimize them by either staging or so exaggerating an incident that any and all steps to quash them are acceptable in order to “save the nation.” Therefore, the question is: was January 6th pre-planned by legitimate Trump supporters, was it spontaneous or was it a calculated set-up?

(4 additional years to continue indoctrinating) Merkowsky: Biden wants kids in pre-K at younger ages as part of ‘Build Back Better’ plan
On Wednesday, Biden tweeted, The fact is 12 years of education is no longer enough to compete in the 21st Century. That’s why my Build Back Better Agenda will guarantee four additional years of public education for every person in America – two years of pre-school and two years of free community college. {NOTE: Longer school hours and school year will be next. Clark: Wisconsin School District Provides ‘Sexually Explicit’ Books To Third-Graders; Material Teaches Students How To Use ‘Sex Apps’
Students in a Wisconsin school district have access to a slew of “sexually explicit” books via their school-provided computers, including content that dubs traditional views of marriage as “ignorant.” Elmbrook School District offers students access to books and information via an online library called SORA. The SORA database — which can be accessed by students as young as eight years old — includes books such as “This Book is Gay,” by Juno Dawson, and “Queer,” by Kathy Belge and Marke Biesche. “This Book is Gay” offers a play-by-play of how to use Grindr and other “sex apps.”

Morefield: A Group Of Parents Sent Their Kids’ Face Masks to A Lab for Analysis. Here’s What They Found
one group of Florida parents sent a batch of masks worn by their children to a lab to find out. […] A group of parents in Gainesville, FL, concerned about potential harms from masks, submitted six face masks to a lab for analysis. The resulting report found that five masks were contaminated with bacteria, parasites, and fungi, including three with dangerous pathogenic and pneumonia-causing bacteria. No viruses were detected on the masks, although the test is capable of detecting viruses. The analysis detected the following 11 alarmingly dangerous pathogens on the masks: • Streptococcus pneumoniae (pneumonia) • Mycobacterium tuberculosis (tuberculosis) • Neisseria meningitidis (meningitis, sepsis) • Acanthamoeba polyphaga (keratitis and granulomatous amebic encephalitis) • Acinetobacter baumanni (pneumonia, blood stream infections, meningitis, UTIs— resistant to antibiotics)
• Escherichia coli (food poisoning) • Borrelia burgdorferi (causes Lyme disease) • Corynebacterium diphtheriae (diphtheria) • Legionella pneumophila (Legionnaires’ disease) • Staphylococcus pyogenes serotype M3 (severe infections—high morbidity rates) • Staphylococcus aureus (meningitis, sepsis)
Half of the masks were contaminated with . . .

Price: Instead Of Showing Up To Work, Texas Democrats Grab Some Miller Lites And Go On Maskless Flight To Save Democracy From Big Bad Republicans
Texas Democrats fled their state Monday for a maskless flight to Washington D.C., with a case of Miller Lites in order to deny a quorum and prevent the passage of a Republican-proposed election integrity bill. Democratic State Rep. Julie Johnson, who represents an area of Dallas County, tweeted and later deleted a selfie of her and several colleagues on a bus to the airport. […] Images later emerged of the Democrats on their chartered flight to Dulles airport in which all of them went without masks. Federal guidance currently requires masks on all “onboard commercial aircraft.”

Solomon: Conservative talk show host Larry Elder to run for California governor
“I’m running for Governor because the decline of California isn’t the fault of its people. Our government is what’s ruining the Golden State,” his campaign website declared. “Our streets aren’t safe from rising violent crime or the disaster of rising homelessness. And the scandals of Sacramento aren’t going to stop on their own. It’s time to tell the truth. We’ve got a state to save.”

Mittelstadt: ‘Cut their funding in half’: Tom Fitton urges GOP to tame ‘out of control’ DOJ, FBI
“[T]he Justice Department’s been a disaster for a number of years,” Fitton told the John Solomon Reports podcast. “The FBI has been out of control. There’s been zero accountability for the misconduct that we’ve been talking about for years now. “So it’s no surprise that you have politicized prosecutions that we’re seeing tied to January 6, the targeting of Tucker Carlson, the FBI thinking they can … go in and, you know, take your banking records without permission.” […] Fitton urged Republicans . . .

Jilani: Conserving Collapse
The Republican Old Guard needs to adopt new tactics to deal with a rapidly changing society. Over the past few months, it finally feels like America’s conservative movement has some wind in its sails. As state legislatures and other governing bodies move to prohibit the promotion of critical race theory in the public schools, liberals appear to be on the defensive for once. Panicked left-leaning news segments and defensive statements from the nation’s teachers unions suggest that the push to prohibit the teaching of woke racial ideas has progressives feeling the heat. Conservatives have the upper hand in this fight because they have chosen a favorable playing field. While cultural progressives dominate most institutions in America—media, the arts, the universities, and, increasingly, corporate America—Republicans retain a majority in state legislatures. […] Even when the Republican Party changes leadership, it appears to have little thirst for changing its ideas. When Wyoming representative Liz Cheney was removed from her leadership post in the House Republican Caucus, New York’s Elise Stefanik took her place. Stefanik, who has one of the more heterodox voting records among House Republicans, offered an opportunity for some policy innovation, yet her elevation to leadership appears to have done little to alter her party’s approach

Prager: The Best Thing Most Americans Can Do to Make America Better
Throughout American history until the post-World War II era, had you asked almost any American what constitutes living a good life, he or she would have offered any or all of these five responses: 1) Developing one’s moral character. 2) Getting married and making a good family. 3) Taking care of one’s family, especially one’s parents. 4) Going to church (or synagogue). 5) Taking care of the poor in one’s community, usually by joining a service organization such as a church charity, a Kiwanis, Lions, or Rotary Club. My suspicion is that if one were to ask young people today, and certainly anyone on the Left, you would not receive any of those five responses. Let’s take them in order: . . .

AP: China says it chased US warship out of disputed sea
China’s military said it chased a U.S. warship out of a disputed area of the South China Sea on Monday after Washington warned an attack on the Philippines might activate a mutual defense treaty. Beijing affirmed its claims to portions of the sea that also are claimed by Southeast Asia governments. It rejected the Biden administration’s declaration of support Sunday for an international tribunal ruling in favor of the Philippines that threw out most of them. China is increasingly assertive about pressing its territorial claims, which are fueling tension with neighbors including Japan, India, Vietnam and the Philippines. The People’s Liberation Army said it sent ships and planes after the U.S.S. Benfold entered waters claimed by Beijing around the Paracel Islands.

Du Quenoy: Biden Will Not Help the Cuban People
Once again, the feckless U.S. foreign policy establishment has failed to detect a moment of potentially world changing significance. As its hapless practitioners beat themselves up like bulimic teenagers over having to withdraw from Afghanistan after nearly 20 years of accomplishing rather little, they completely missed any hint of the massive demonstrations that began sweeping Cuba, just 90 miles from our shores, on July 11. Demanding “liberty” and telling their government “We are not afraid,” angry protestors in at least 32 Cuban cities and many smaller municipalities have marched to demand an end to the island nation’s six-decade old communist regime. In some places, they have seized Communist Party offices and attacked security personnel and vehicles. Many are carrying the American flag, even as our own protesters, Olympic athletes, and Democratic members of Congress show contempt for it. These are the largest demonstrations in Cuba in at least 30 years, . . . […] The Biden Administration, however, was curiously absent from the scene for some 24 hours during which President Biden, Vice President Kamala Harris, Secretary of State Antony Blinken, and almost all other Democratic politicians and national security appointees made no statement. […] Why can’t the Biden Administration support oppressed people taking enormous risks for their freedom from socialism? The reason is simple. The Cubans are protesting against socialism and not in favor of it. What honest Biden Administration official or compliant D.C. bureaucrat would risk antagonizing a broad swath of the Democratic Party by suggesting that socialism is a source of, rather than a solution to, any form of oppression, let alone the immense oppression Cubans suffer with scant sympathy from Washington?

Beyrer: Cuban Regime’s Biggest Defenders in Congress Silent on Pro-Democracy Protests
Thousands of anti-regime protesters took to the streets across the island over the weekend, waving American flags and chanting “freedom” as well as anti-government slogans. Reps. Bobby Rush (D., Ill.), Steve Cohen (D., Tenn.), Barbara Lee (D., Calif.), and Gwen Moore (D., Wis.) demanded President Joe Biden lift Trump sanctions against the Castro regime in a March letter signed by more than 70 members of Congress, including all four members of the far-left “Squad.” None of the letter’s four authors or members of the Squad have weighed in on the pro-democracy protests in Cuba. Rush, Cohen, Lee, and Moore did not return requests for comment.

Tucker Carlson: Your private conversations will be controlled by the DNC
Historians will assess it. They will likely record the early days of COVID-19 as a turning point in our society — an unprecedented assault on our most basic civil liberties, that somehow very few people seemed to notice when it first started happening. The usual stooges and think tank libertarians assured us at the time none of it was a big deal. Soulless multinational media monopolies censoring essential medical information? No problem. That’s how the free market works. Build your own Google if you don’t like it. Start your own NIH. And anyway, in private you can still say what you want. You’re still free. It’s not like this is North Korea. So calm down, conspiracy nut. You’re starting to sound like Alex Jones. Most of obeyed, we dutifully calmed down, and went back to Netflix. We shouldn’t have. Today we learned the Biden administration considers censorship is applicable to private speech as well. What you say in private, when you’re alone with your phone, you won’t be able to say or read what you want because the DNC plans to control—and apparently have the ability to control—the flow the information you receive on your phone. Nothing that questions official regime policy will reach you. According to a report in Politico — and believe it or not, we’re quoting here directly: . ..

Klein: ‘Medical Fascism’: Medical Journal Receives Backlash After Suggesting Parents Lose ‘Veto Power’ on Trans Children
A leading medical ethics journal faced fierce backlash online after publishing an article suggesting that parents lose their authority to manage their transgender children’s medical decisions. In an article, titled “LGBT testimony and the limits of trust” published last month in the Journal of Medical Ethics, Dr. Maura Priest, a philosophy professor and bioethicist at Arizona State University, wrote that parents should lose their “veto power” in most “transition-related paediatric care”: . . . […] The essay, published in the monthly peer-reviewed journal, drew backlash from many online. […] What could be more fundamental to parenting than helping a child embrace his or her God-given sexual identity? This is progressive madness masquerading as medicine.

Davidson: White House Repeats Lie That Teaching Critical Race Theory In Schools Is ‘History’
White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki repeated her spin on the controversial teaching of critical race theory in schools as teaching “history” during a press briefing on Friday.“The president is obviously a big fan of education. The first lady is a teacher. She’s a union teacher. I’m wondering, what are the president’s thoughts on anti-racism curriculum in the classroom,” RealClearPolitics White House reporter Philip Wegmann asked. Psaki replied that the U.S. still has “systemic racism” that needs to be acknowledged and addressed through government schools.

Wallace-Wells: The Kids Are Alright Why now is the time to rethink COVID safety protocols for children — and everyone else.
The kids are safe. They always have been. It may sound strange, given a year of panic over school closures and reopenings, a year of masking toddlers and closing playgrounds and huddling in pandemic pods, that, according to the CDC, among children the mortality risk from COVID-19 is actually lower than from the flu. The risk of severe disease or hospitalization is about the same. This is true for the much-worried-over Delta variant. It is also true for all the other variants, and for the original strain. Most remarkably, it has been known to be true since the very earliest days of the pandemic — indeed it was among the very first things we did know about the disease. The preliminary mortality data from China was very clear: To children, COVID-19 represented only a vanishingly tiny threat of death, hospitalization, or severe disease. Yet for a year and a half we have been largely unwilling to fully believe it. Children now wear masks at little-league games, and at the swimming pool, and when school reopens in the fall they will likely wear masks there, too. But the kids are not at risk themselves, and never were. Now, thanks to vaccines, the vast majority of their parents and grandparents aren’t any longer, either.

(From June) Woodard: Supremes Rule 9-0 Against RI Gun Grab
It is rare to see the Supreme Court unanimously rule on anything, but especially something having to do with firearms. But that’s just what happened in May when the SCOTUS overturned a 1st Circuit Court ruling in Caniglia v. Strom. The Supreme Court ruled unanimously (9-0) that police illegally seized a Rhode Island man’s firearms in violation of his Fourth Amendment rights.

Zanotti: POLL: 70% Of Black Voters Now Say Violent Crime Is A ‘Major Crisis’
Josh Kraushaar at National Journal reported, over the weekend, that a new poll from Navigator Research, a Democratic firm that releases a weekly “pulse” for candidates and politicos on top issues among voters, shows surprising agreement between Republicans and Democrats on the issue of rising violence in major cities. […] On most of the 14 issues tested, from the coronavirus pandemic to inflation, Republicans and Democrats differed sharply over their significance. For instance, 70 percent of Democrats still see the pandemic as a ‘major crisis,’ but only 30 percent of Republicans agree.” “For the first time, crime ranked ahead of the pandemic as the top issue for all voters,” he continued.

Anti-Christian Hysteria Has Grown Into Church-Burning Terror, And People Might Be Next
All over Canada, churches are going up in flames. On the same day 25 miles south, Our Lady of Lourdes parish was burned to the ground as well. The week before that, St. Gregory’s Church near Osoyoos was destroyed. So was Sacred Heart near Penticton. […] All these are Catholic, but they aren’t the only ones being targeted. In Calgary, 10 churches of various denominations were vandalized in a single night. A few days later, a Vietnamese church was set on fire — just hours after it held its first full service in more than a year. Overall more than two dozen churches in Canada have been targeted over the past few weeks — and people are cheering it on. Not just anonymous people, either: On June 30, Harsha Walia, the executive director of the British Columbia Civil Liberties Association, responded to a story of another church arson, saying “Burn it all down.”

Vadum: Cubans Rising
Cubans took to the streets in cities across the desperately impoverished police state to protest the island nation’s brutal 62-year-old communist dictatorship in what are said to be the largest public demonstrations against the regime in decades. Thousands of Cubans in at least 16 cities from Havana all the way to Santiago de Cuba chanted “libertad,” the Spanish word for freedom, as they demanded an end to government oppression. Many wore or waved American flags and were beaten by police, Breitbart News reported. Hundreds were reportedly arrested. Cuban journalists were arrested for covering the protests, according to Cubanet. Cuban President Miguel Mario Diaz-Canel did what communist dictators do when their grip on power is threatened: he appeared on television July 11 to urge his fellow communists to use violence against the protesters. “We are willing to give our lives. They will have to pass over our corpses if they want to confront the revolution,” Diaz-Canel said. “We are willing to do anything.”

Unruh: Judge cancels abortion law because constitution recognizes ‘right to life’
A national law expanding the permission for abortion beyond cases of rape or a risk to the life of the mother has been struck down by a judge who noted Argentina’s constitution specifically recognizes a “right to life.” Judge Alfredo Eugenia Lopez, of the Federal Tribunal No. 4 of Mar del Plata, decided the illegality of the abortion expansion based on a previous national Supreme Court ruling that “life is the first human right which is recognized and guaranteed by the national constitution.”
