NOTABLE QUOTES

J.B. Shurk contributor to American Thinker: Allow me to suggest three cheat codes for separating truth from propaganda in the Age of Mass Media Manipulation: (1) Whatever is censored is true. (2) Refusal to audit elections is proof that vote totals are unverifiable and fraudulent. (3) Any president who inexplicably disappears for days at a time and admits that he is “not allowed” to answer questions from the press is not actually president.

President Trump’s statement on Afghanistan bungled withdrawl: “A heartbreaking loss for the United States and it’s great Military. We must have hostages released and our Military equipment returned, NOW!”

John Solomon contributor to Just the News: Two powerful pieces of evidence emerged this week that strongly suggest the Afghan exit wasn’t just a case of incompetence but rather an intentional effort to use PR lipstick to disguise a Biden plan that was secretly willing to accept chaos and stranded Americans as a possible outcome to avoid further military casualties during the exit.

Daniel Greenfield contributor to FrontPage Magazine: According to Biden, we evacuated over 100,000 from Afghanistan. If those people are not the visa recipients, whom did we evacuate? The basic questions to be asked are what criteria were actually used to allow people to board planes?

Raymond Ibrahim contributor to FrontPage Magazine: . . . as long as Islam exists, the jihad may be down but it is never out for the count. It may take years, decades, and centuries; its name and guise may morph and change from eighth century Arab caliphates, to fifteenth century Turkish sultanates, to the twenty-first century’s loose amalgam of ISIS, al-Qaeda, Taliban, Hamas, Hezbollah, Boko Haram, al-Shabaab, etc.—but it is always there, often lying dormant, yes, though ever ready to strike at the first opportunity.

Richard Engel @NBCNews Chief Foreign Correspondent in an interview: “We are coming to the conclusion with the United States… leaving a legacy behind that I think- some have described it as the worst capitulation of western values in our lifetimes. I went to Afghanistan, I arrived a couple of weeks ago- it was a Republic backed by the United States, backed by the West! Now it’s an emerging Islamic emirate trying to find its way.”

Andrew Ash contributor to Gatestone Institute: Advocates of multi-culturalism demand not only that we should accept sweeping changes to our cultural landscape, but also that we should be far more welcoming of some of the medieval customs, traditions, and religious laws it has taken much of the world — often at great cost in the irrevocable currency of life as well as treasure — centuries to get rid of.

Dr. Stephen M. Kirby contributor to Frontpage Magazine: . . . these refugees are coming from a culture and a land whose values and history are completely different from, and largely incompatible with, those of the United States. What is being generally overlooked is that there are more socially/culturally compatible countries for these refugees that actually border Afghanistan. Perhaps what we might “owe” these refugees is assistance in finding refuge in those neighboring countries.

Gabriel Gipe California high-school teacher: “I have 180 days to turn them [students] into revolutionaries.… Scare the f*ck out of them.”

Daniel Greenfield contributor to Frontpage Magazine: And it’s not just white families who are moving to homeschooling: 9.7% of white families with kids have pulled out of traditional education, as have 12.1% of Hispanic families, 8.8% of Asian families and 16.1% of Black families.

Revolver.news: Chase’s “mistaken” letter to General Flynn’s wife wasn’t the first time an organization has used “reputational risk” as a pretext for political censorship. In fact, weaponizing claims of “reputational risk” has become a favored tactic for the institutional left to deny its enemies the right to organize or even live normal day-to-day lives.

BEHIND THE DEEP STATE

Conradson: Biden’s Cover Up: Deep State Wipes Online Records of U.S. Military Equipment Given to Afghan Forces; Public Links to Reports About Quantities and Billions in Costs Are GONE
Several webpage links – detailing the cost and inventory of billions in high-tech weaponry that was handed to the Taliban – have been removed from federal websites at the request of the corrupt Biden regime. The authoritarian decision for US agencies to hide the damaging public information comes as criticism continues to mount over their unprecedented disaster in Afghanistan. On Tuesday, OpenTheBooks.com founder Adam Andrzejewsk revealed that State Department officials recently told other federal agencies to scrub their websites of any official report with details about the $82.9 billion in US taxpayer funds that was spent arming and training Afghan forces over the past 20 years. Dozens of online links to reports, published by multiple agencies, are now dead.

Durden: CDC Director To Restart Gun Research Amid Spate Of Mass Shootings
For the first time in decades, the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) will restart research into the gun violence epidemic across the U.S. CDC researchers will be on a mission to collect enough data to enable the agency to create solutions to prevent gun-related deaths, accidental gun deaths, and/or suicides.
CDC director Rochelle Walensky spoke with CNN over the weekend and revealed her new plan to research guns and gun-related violence. […] She continued: “I’m not here about gun control. I’m here about preventing gun violence and gun death.” This brings us to her boss, President Biden, whose administration members are on a mission to limit or ban guns. We recently laid out, in a gun policy note titled “Puzzle Pieces All Laid Out” – How ATF Has Plan To Classify Semi-Automatic Rifles As “Machine Guns” that stricter gun control is coming with and if the ATF could have it their way, ban the AR-15 platform.

JANUARY 6

Gournell: Rep. McCarthy: GOP Will Remember Companies That Turn Over Info to Jan. 6 Panel
House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy on Tuesday warned tech companies that Republicans “will not forget” if they turn over phone and email records to the committee investigating the Jan. 6 riot at the U.S. Capitol building, The Hill reported. A letter from McCarthy was in response to a request Monday from the committee sent to 35 telephone, email and social media companies to preserve records that it said could be relevant to its investigation. McCarthy, a California Republican, said that if the companies comply with the request, it “would put every American with a phone or computer in the crosshairs of a surveillance state run by Democratic politicians.”

REDISTRICTING

Anderson: ‘Independent’ Michigan Redistricting Commissioner Actually a Bernie Bro
A Bernie Sanders-backing 29-year-old won a coveted position to redraw Michigan’s political districts as part of a self-described “independent” bloc of redistricting commissioners that could redefine the state’s electoral landscape for the next decade. Medical student Anthony Eid applied to serve on the Michigan Independent Citizens Redistricting Commission as an independent in May 2020, stating that he does not “affiliate with either the Republican or Democratic Party.” A Washington Free Beacon review of his social media presence, however, shows that Eid has long supported members of the Democratic Party’s liberal wing. Eid now holds a crucial vote on the 13-member commission, which consists of four Democrats, four Republicans, and five independents. In order to enact a proposed map, at least seven members—including two Democrats, two Republicans, and two independents—must vote for it. The boundaries will stay in place until the next census in 2030.

THE DEMOCRAT LED WAR ON AMERICA’S CHILDREN

Murphy: Project Veritas Outs California High-school Teacher as Antifa
A new undercover video released on Tuesday appears to show a California high-school teacher bragging about turning children under his tutelage into Marxist revolutionaries. Gabriel Gipe, a teacher of advanced placement government at Inderkum High School in Sacramento, allegedly made several ugly confessions to an undercover journalist for Project Veritas. Photographs that are reportedly of Gipe’s classroom show an Antifa flag as well a picture of the infamous Chairman Mao Tse-tung — the Chinese leader responsible for millions of deaths during the so-called Great Leap Forward and Cultural Revolution of the 1960s and ’70s. “I have 180 days to turn them [students] into revolutionaries.… Scare the f*ck out of them,” Gipe says in the video. […] The Marxist also threw some of his fellow teachers under the communist bus, claiming that he’s not the only teacher on the staff at Inderkum High School who feels the way he does. [UPDATE: The Natomas Unified School District announced Wednesday it plans to fire a teacher shown on an undercover video discussing antifa and saying he wanted his students to become “revolutionaries.”]

The Center Square Staff: Twenty states sue to block Biden sexual orientation, gender identity rules for schools
Twenty states are suing the Biden administration to stop new regulations governing sex and gender discrimination in schools, calling the rules sweeping inventions of laws outside the constitutional process. Ohio Attorney General Dave Yost joined other attorneys general in the lawsuit, which challenges the U.S. Department of Education (USDOE) and Equal Employment Opportunity Commission’s actions governing discrimination on the basis of sex.[…] Yost said the lawsuit challenges the USDOE’s interpretation of Title IX, saying it applies not only to the discrimination on the basis of sex but also applies to nondiscrimination on the basis of sexual orientation and gender identity. […] Alabama, Alaska, Arizona, Arkansas, Georgia, Idaho, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, Oklahoma, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee and West Virginia all joined Ohio in the lawsuit.

PEACFULLY & PATRIOTICALLY HAVE YOUR VOICES HEARD

Adelmann: Public-school Enrollments Drop While Charter and Homeschooling Options Grow
Public-school officials are panicking over drops in enrollment going into the new school year. They’re going door-to-door to enlist students, planting yard signs pleading with parents to enroll their children, requiring bus drivers to call parents during their off hours, and asking that docents make calls to parents as well. They’re hosting “town halls,” inviting concerned parents to attend and to ask questions, hoping to reduce their anxiety over putting their kids back into public schools. […] Almost 60 percent of the decline is due to the growth in homeschooling. According to the U.S. Census Bureau, in a typical year a little more than three percent of the nation’s school-age children are homeschooled. By September 2020, the bureau reported that the rate of homeschooling had jumped three-fold, to 11 percent. And it isn’t temporary, either. […] The pressure to keep children away from public schools is growing, thanks in part to school boards themselves. Parents are increasingly outraged at the indoctrination being perpetrated through CRT (Critical Race Theory), along with demands that the young students be required to wear masks all day long.

Reynolds: 8 More Politically Correct But Factually False Words And Phrases To Stop Using Immediately
If constantly flip-flopping on senseless COVID-19 restrictions hadn’t undermined the credibility of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention enough, the agency appointed itself language police last week with a list of acceptable (and not acceptable) terminology. From instructing English-speakers to deny biological realities with terms like “assigned male/female at birth” to touting unnecessary word salads like “people with self-reported income in the lowest income bracket” (instead of “poor people”), the CDC guide is full of catchphrases that sound messy and cloud meaning. In the face of confusing and inaccurate language diktats from federal bureaucrats, The Federalist is here to help. Back in April, we brought you “10 Politically Correct But Factually False Words And Phrases To Stop Using Immediately,” including words and phrases like “mainstream media,” “abortion doctors,” and “cisgender.”
Here are a few more phrases and words that, no matter how much leftist hacks like the CDC language police will try to pressure you to use them, you should think twice before using. 1. ‘Progressive’ “Progressive” is an inherently positive adjective, implying that anything it describes is “progressing” toward something better. In America, the political Progressive movement that gained steam at the beginning of the 20th century viewed America’s systems of limited government as outdated, instead wanting to use federal power to usher in radical social change. Today’s self-styled “progressives” follow suit, seeking to use governmental and cultural levers to force social upheaval on Americans. To concede their “progressive” description is to buy into the assumption that anyone who doesn’t support their agendas is backward and regressive. Instead of “progressive,” say “leftist” or just describe the particular individual or group’s agenda more specifically. 2. Pregnant Persons . . . 3. . . .4. . . .

BIDEN/HARRIS/OBAMA REGIME: TRANSFORMING FOREIGN POLICY

Ibrahim: The Eternal Jihad
Although August 15, 2021 will forever live in infamy as the date when the Taliban reconquered Afghanistan, for over 13 centuries that date was famous for another event—Constantinople’s defeat of the caliphate, August 15, 718. While these two events separated by exactly 1,303 years are vastly different in nature—not least that in 718 Islam lost, while in 2021 it won—they both confirm one irresistible point that the confident West should take to heart: the tenacity of Islamic jihad—this relentless snake of war that always bides its time, even if by remaining coiled for many centuries, before striking.

Nobel: Who Will Pay the Price? Who Should Pay the Price?
As American citizens confront a foreign policy disaster of this magnitude, we must begin with an inventory of injured parties. First, unquestionably, are the American men and women in our armed forces who have been killed and injured in this grievous failure. Very much like the Vietnam War, it is the grunts as we called them, who always pay the price for the Ivy League ‘best and the brightest’ who haunt the U.S. State Department and to an increasing degree, the U.S. Department of Defense. There is nothing like a visit to a military cemetery, such as the one pictured above, to get a sense of the human cost. […] Likely who will not suffer are the Democrat operatives who pull the strings behind Joe Biden, the puppet president. As one observer accurately put it, they put the man up to win, not to govern. The machinery of the Democrat Party has a great deal to answer for. This includes this latest foreign policy disaster, the uncontrolled illegal alien invasion on the southern border, inflation, budget madness, declining race relations, soaring crime, turning the national security apparatus on political opponents, and the contradictory and idiotic policies related to Covid.

Ibbetson: Thank you, America: Taliban now has up to 48 aircraft including US-supplied Black Hawks and A-29 attack planes after Afghan army’s collapse left them with more air power than many NATO nations
The Taliban have seized an air force worth tens of millions of pounds, including US-bought helicopters and attack planes, giving them more aerial firepower than many Nato members. Over the last few months, the jihadists have captured 10 major airfields from Bagram to Mazar-i-Sharif, and today took to the skies in a $6 million Black Hawk helicopter in their fight against the resistance in the Panjshir Valley. Taliban chiefs are reported to have ordered their troops to hunt down pilots from the disbanded Afghan Air Force, who received expensive training from the US and its allies to fly high-tech warplanes and choppers. Without those pilots, flying such sophisticated aircraft is near-impossible for an amateur – but several videos of airborne terrorists suggest they must have recruited some renegade wingmen. […] . . . if the Islamists have that many operational aircraft, it gives them more air power than 10 of the 30 Nato members, namely: Albania, Bosnia, Estonia, Iceland, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Montenegro, North Macedonia and Slovenia.

Trifkovic: Understanding Jihad’s Resurgence
Jihad is both an ideology and a global process. It has triumphed in Afghanistan in both forms, and its adherents everywhere will feel emboldened by what they see as a sure sign of Allah’s sanction. If a poorly armed jihadist force could endure for two decades, struggling against the mightiest infidel force the world has ever known and finally prevail, every true holy warrior will feel motivated to achieve similar results against weaker targets. Before we look at the likely objectives of jihadist attacks in the period ahead, it is necessary to clarify the term “jihad” and “jihadist.” There has been a sustained effort by Islamic activists and their Western apologists, especially since 9/11, to muddy the waters by claiming that the original term denotes a sort of spiritual effort and moral striving. This is a lie.

CHINA: AMERICA’S MORTAL ENEMY

Blaff: Welcome to Cold War II
It was once fashionable to deride those who warned about the perils of over-dependence on other countries. “Made in America” or “Buy American” became codewords for xenophobia on the heels of Trump’s 2016 election. In 2017, one historian urged Washington Post readers to remember that the “dark side” of such rhetoric was “often shrouded in racism.” Similar thoughts were echoed in Jacobin, the socialist publication, that same year in response to Trumpian trade policy. But dismissals like those are hard to come by these days. Perhaps it’s the media pulling punches on Biden. Maybe it’s the change in rhetoric and tone from the new administration. In any event, the chorus denouncing self-reliance as xenophobic and racist has all but disappeared. Americans are beginning to recognize that self-sufficiency produces tangible benefits in the national interest. The coronavirus demonstrated the fickleness of supply chains and open borders. Despite the lofty rhetoric of cooperation and multilateralism, Americans learned firsthand that you better be able to build your own life raft when the flood arrives. At the very least, you shouldn’t be reliant on your biggest geopolitical foe for survival. By April 2020, pollsters were already reporting a sea change in public opinion. Pew has documented nearly two decades of American public opinion on China. In 2005, more Americans held favourable views of China (43 percent) than unfavourable (35 percent). The American public see-sawed over subsequent years, although it remained generally favourable. However, between 2013 and 2016, over half of Americans polled came to view China unfavourably. Apart from a brief defrosting after Trump’s election, trade tensions and the pandemic cemented American hostility, and by 2020, 73 percent of Americans held unfavourable views of China with only 22 percent feeling the opposite.

Schneider: The Chinese Nuclear Breakout and the Biden Administration’s Nuclear Posture Review
On August 12, 2021, the Commander of U.S. Strategic Command Admiral Charles Richard stated, “We are witnessing a strategic breakout by China….The explosive growth in their nuclear and conventional forces can only be what I described as breathtaking.” He added that “…frankly, that word ‘breathtaking’ may not be enough.” Admiral Richard characterized China as a “peer” nuclear competitor and noted that we now face two nuclear “peer” competitors, Russia and China, compared to one during the Cold War. Admiral Richard was talking about the massive Chinese silo construction program for the large, multiple warhead DF-41 ICBM, generally reported to be able to carry 10 nuclear warheads. He confirmed the earlier reports of two new ICBM fields and that each had about 120 silos for the large Chinese DF-41 ICBM. On August 12, 2021, Bill Gertz wrote in The Washington Times that a third ICBM field had been discovered and that, “Together, the three new missile bases will house 350 to 400 new long-range nuclear missiles, U.S. officials said. If 10 warheads are deployed on the DF-41s, China‘s warhead level will increase to more than 4,000 warheads on its DF-41s alone.”

BIDEN/HARRIS/OBAMA REGIME: TRANSFORMING AMERICA

BIDEN IMPEACHMENT BOMB — U.S. Predator drone had ‘kill shot’ on terrorist before he killed 13 Marines — Biden bowed to Taliban who ‘denied permission to shoot’…
If this turns out to be substantiated by other sources, Joe Biden will very possibly be impeached in the House. Pelosi only has a few votes to spare, and moderate Democrats will be under intense pressure. Former Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for Western Hemisphere Affairs, Roger Pardo-Maurer said the U.S. Department of Defense already knew who the bomber was ahead of time, before the bombing and when and where the Kabul attack would occur — the Abbey Gate was at “highest risk.”

Gingrich: Biden’s top 10 blunders
As I’ve watched the events of the past few weeks – and thought about the nature of Joe Biden’s young presidency – I began to ask myself: How much more of this can we take? In just seven months, President Biden has overseen a remarkable number of complete blunders. To make sense of them all and consider how to overcome them, I decided to list them. Of course, it would take months of time and writing to list all the errors Mr. Biden has made in his 48 years in politics, so I decided to start at his inauguration in January. These are roughly in chronological order. It seemed impossible to rank them as so many of them could have lasting, unforeseeable consequences. 1. Bipartisan Baloney: As I write in my upcoming book, “Beyond Biden,” which will be released on Nov. 2, the first major mistake Mr. Biden made was immediately failing to live up to the pledges he made in his inaugural address. In his inaugural address, Mr. Biden said: “Today, on this January day, my whole soul is in this: Bringing America together. Uniting our people. And uniting our nation.” Had Mr. Biden actually led from the center as a bipartisan president, he would have quickly formed a strong coalition in Washington and built a strong majority. But he didn’t. On day one in office, Mr. Biden signed 17 executive orders, most highly partisan, with nine being direct reversals of popular, effective policies set by the previous administration. Mr. Biden’s day-one action message to a deeply divided America was that talk of bipartisanship was pure baloney. 2. . . .

DEMOCRAT PARTY MARXIST PLAYBOOK: CRITICAL RACE THEORY (WOKE IDENTITY POLITICS)

Rufo: Critical Race Capitalism
Verizon has launched an internal program teaching that the United States is a fundamentally racist nation and encouraging employees to support a variety of left-wing causes, including “defunding the police.” According to documents that I have obtained from a whistleblower, Verizon launched the “Race & Social Justice” initiative last year and has created an extensive race reeducation program based on the core tenets of critical race theory, including “systemic racism,” “white fragility,” and “intersectionality.” In the flagship “Conscious Inclusion & Anti-Racism” training module, Verizon diversity trainers instruct employees to deconstruct their racial and sexual identities and, according to their position on the “privilege” hierarchy, embark on a lifelong “anti-racism journey.” Employees are asked to list their “race, ethnicity, gender, gender identity, religion, education, profession, and sexual orientation” on an official company worksheet, then consider their status according to the theory of “intersectionality,” a core component of critical race theory that reduces individuals to a network of identity categories, which determine whether they are an “oppressor” or “oppressed.”

ARIZONA NEWS

ADI Staff Reporter: Arizona Democrats Shock Colleagues By Supporting Call For Violence Over Texas Abortion Ruling
The Love sisters have earned a reputation for using inflammatory language and eliciting passionate responses from followers on social media, but few people could have expected the latest response to their rhetoric surrounding a Texas abortion law. Chandler School Board member Lindsay Love and her sister and Planned Parenthood Advocates of Arizona (PPAZ) Board Chair Chris Love are vocal abortion supporters. So their objection to the Supreme Court’s decision to let the Texas pro-life bill stand was par for the course. It was Chris’ call on Twitter for her supporters to “be ready to break some sh*t,” that sent the twittersphere into a tailspin. Arizona State Rep. Daniel Hernandez, candidate for Congressional District 2, and Arizona State Rep. Diego Rodriguez, a candidate for the Arizona Attorney general’s Office, both “liked” and retweeted the call for violence. Arizona State Rep. Athena Salman also approved of the tweet.

Arizona Daily Independent: Ducey Incentivizes Use Of Early Effective Treatment For COVID-19 Patients To Ease Pressure On Hospitals
Even after monoclonal antibody treatments became available for use, physicians were forcing patients to remain home and untreated until such a time when hospitalization was absolutely necessary. While the protocol mystified many and is cited as a possible reason for many unnecessary COVID-19 related deaths, it ensured a manageable patient count and steady income stream for hospitals. An action announced by Arizona Governor Doug Ducey on Wednesday just might change that paradigm. Ducey’s plan involves appropriating $60 million in federal virus relief funds to help Arizona hospitals, but only if they offer the monoclonal antibody treatments they previously denied the ill. Monoclonal antibodies are designed to block the virus’ attachment and entry into human cells, and the treatment can be used for mild to moderate COVID-19 patients. When administered early enough, this treatment can dramatically decrease the patient’s risk of developing severe COVID symptoms. Expanding the use of monoclonal antibody treatment will help decrease the rate of hospitalizations and help alleviate pressure on hospitals and staff.
