NOTABLE QUOTES
Patricia McCarthy contributor to American Thinker describes Biden’s speech mandating COVID vaccinations: Thursday, President Biden delivered the most insulting, contemptuous, and divisive speech by a president in U.S. history.
Scott Mckay contributor to American Spectator: There won’t be any hiding for Biden now, as he’s turned his entire presidency into an engine of Covidian dystopia. We’ll soon find out whether the American people will stand for it, and the answer might well determine the future of the country.
Patricia McCarthy contributor to American Thinker: . . . as Biden crudely lectured and indicted the unvaxxed, he is importing hundreds of thousands of unvetted, unvaccinated, untested migrants from all over the world at the southern border and now from Afghanistan as well. What gives? It’s as though he is importing a replacement population by design while trying to kill off those of us who are native-born Americans with vaccines that not only do not work, but for many have dire side-effects such as death, injury, and illness. Could this all be part of the globalists’ Great Reset? Probably. It all feels like part of someone’s grand plan.
Daniel Greenfield contributor to Frontpage Magazine: Biden’s insistence that OSHA can mandate vaccines, much like his previous illegal insistence that the CDC can block evictions is part of a pattern of Democrats using the pandemic emergency as a testbed for unlimited government power grabs. The Biden administration has essentially innovated the exciting new theory that federal agencies can be made to exercise limitless power over the vast majority of the country.
President Biden in his unconstitutional COVID vaccination mandate, which is expected to affect 80 million Americans, made this disturbing statement about Republican governors: “If they’ll not help, if these governors won’t help us beat the pandemic, I’ll use my power as president to get them out of the way.”
Adam Mill contributor to American Greatness: It’s beginning to feel very Soviet in America these days. And the more we imitate the Soviet Union of the 1980s, the more likely we’ll end up with the same outcome.
Daniel J. Flynn contributor to American Spectator: Coronavirus is healthier than fascism.
Sundance contributor to The Last Refuge: The timing of the Capitol Hill fence being reinstalled by the police; and the deployment of the national guard to surround the capitol; at the same time that Joe Biden announces mandatory vaccine requirements for almost all workers in the United States, are not f**king coincidental.
Sundance contributor to The Last Refuge: When you see that justice is measured, not by due process, but by compulsion – when you see that in order to invoke your sixth amendment right to due process, you need to obtain permission from men who rebuke the constitution – when you see that justice is determined by those who leverage, not in law, but in politics – when you see that men get power over individual liberty by graft and by scheme, and your representatives don’t protect you against them, but protect them against you – when you see corruption holding influence and individual liberty so easily dispatched and nullified – you may well know that your freedom too is soon to perish.
Bruce Bawer contributor to Frontpage Magazine: On 9/11, the world was shown, in one horrific, indelible image, precisely what Islam is all about. Today, to write the previous sentence is to be guilty of Islamophobia. How did that come to be? It began in the days after 9/11 itself, when George W. Bush – by repeatedly insisting that the cause of the jihadists had nothing to do with Islam – effectively ruled out of bounds any criticism of that religion, or any honest education and open discussion about it.
Bruce Abramson contributor to The American Mind: The answers are straightforward: Everything we are witnessing in Afghanistan flows from the worldview of woke progressivism. President Obama laid the groundwork with a consistent set of policies and strategies for approaching the Muslim-majority world—over 50 sovereign countries and roughly 20% of the world’s population. The behavior of the Biden Administration represents a resumption of the Obama framework.
Lance Morrow contributor to City Journal: The 20 years since 9/11 have produced two tragic outcomes: Afghanistan has reverted to the Taliban, and—unexpectedly—America has disappeared down a rabbit hole. Barbarism, in different forms, is on the march in both countries
Governor Ron DeSantis (R-FL) on 9/8/2021: “My job is to protect your individual freedom. My job is not to protect corporate freedom. We have a society in Florida where people can make the best decisions for themselves and their families. And that’s what we’re doing by protecting against these Vaccine mandates.”

9/11
Carrington: Twenty Years Later, the Heroes of 9/11 Teach Us Truths About America
On the cusp of 9/11’s 20th anniversary, we hear more and more about American decadence. Some point merely to recent policies such as our foreign endeavors in the Middle East. Others, however, take their critique to deeper and darker depths. America was born to fail, we now hear. Scholars and pundits declare the classical liberal views underlying our Founding as fraudulent. America was destined to decline into wanton licentiousness and banal consumerism, all feeding a lonely, arrogant, yet yearning hyper-individualism. A country dedicated to the self-evident truth that “All men are created equal,” in other words, inevitably descends into suburban, materialist mediocrity. Yet the anniversary we remember should give these deeper critics pause. Sept. 11, 2001 displayed something of the American character. We saw firefighters and policemen in New York City running into the Twin Towers – many never to return. We heard of citizens storming the cockpit of Flight 93 to stop the hijackers from reaching their intended target (revealed later to be either the White House or the U.S. Capitol). In the tragedy’s aftermath, we saw Americans rally around each other financially, physically, and spiritually.

Johnson: BIDEN TO DESECRATE 9/11 REMOTELY TOO
President Biden is set to attend events at all three 9/11 memorial sites — in New York City, Pennsylvania, and at the Pentagon . . . […] Rather, he will instead speak in “in the form of a video in advance . . . […] What are we to make of this? Biden’s handlers in the White House daycare operation know that the epic humiliation of the United States for which he bears responsibility was to be celebrated tomorrow as a great victory. Now they don’t dare. Indeed, they seek to turn our attention elsewhere.

Sundance: White House Releases Mandatory Vaccine Rules for U.S. Workforce and Reinstalls Fence Around Capitol to Avoid Backlash
First, the new forced vaccination rules… (Via AP) “President Joe Biden on Thursday is announcing sweeping new federal vaccine requirements affecting as many as 100 million Americans in an all-out effort to increase COVID-19 vaccinations and curb the surging delta variant that is killing thousands each week and jeopardizing the nation’s economic recovery. The expansive rules mandate that all employers with more than 100 workers require them to be vaccinated or test for the virus weekly, affecting about 80 million Americans. And the roughly 17 million workers at health facilities that receive federal Medicare or Medicaid also will have to be fully vaccinated. Biden is also signing an executive order to require vaccination for employees of the executive branch and contractors who do business with the federal government — with no option to test out. That covers several million more workers. […] In addition to the vaccination requirements, Biden is moving to double . . . […] They are using the little known DC protest as an excuse to justify the installation of the fencing. What they really fear is a response from the American people. The Rulers are protecting themselves from the Ruled.

Cawood: Biden’s Six-Pronged ‘COVID-19 Action Plan’ Impacts 100 Million Americans, Includes Vax Mandates
President Joe Biden unveiled a six-point plan to combat COVID-19 on Thursday that he said would affect as many as 100 million Americans. The approach includes vaccine mandates, more testing, and increasing availability of an antibody treatment used to cure former President Donald Trump.
According to the White House, Biden’s strategy “will ensure that we are using every available tool to combat COVID-19 and save even more lives in the months ahead, while also keeping schools open and safe, and protecting our economy from lockdowns and damage.” Biden said he is “frustrated with the nearly 80 million Americans who are still not vaccinated,” appearing to repeatedly blame them for increased transmission across the country. “The unvaccinated overcrowd our hospitals; they are overrunning emergency rooms and intensive care units, leaving no room for someone with a heart attack or pancreatitis or cancer,” he said. Biden went on to detail his “six broad areas of action” with specific measures intended to slow infection rates.

Daily Wire News: Daily Wire Co-CEO On Vax Mandate: ‘We’re Prepared’ To End Biden’s ‘Unconstitutional Bullsh*t’
“I just got off the phone with our lawyers and I just want to reiterate something that I already said today on Twitter: No,” Boreing said. “The Daily Wire does have more than 100 employees, but we won’t be enforcing Joe Biden’s unconstitutional and tyrannical vaccine mandate. That’s it, we’ll use every tool at our disposal, including legal action to resist.” Boreing explained that the company’s opposition to Biden’s mandate does not come from being anti-vaccine, but rather it is in opposition to the burden that the administration’s mandate will place on American businesses and its overreach on individual Americans’ personal liberties.

Chamberlain: GOP governors rip Biden over new mandate, threaten legal action
“The president’s forgotten we live in America,” Ricketts told Fox News’ “The Ingraham Angle”. “He thinks we live in the Soviet Union. And the hypocrisy of this is just unbelievable. We have weekly phone calls with the governors and the White House staff. The president has never once been on any of those, and yet he’s got the gall to tell us that we’re not fighting the pandemic? … I can tell you, Nebraska will push back, fight back with any tool we can find against this huge, stunning overreach of federal power.”

Wegmann: Exasperated Biden Shifts From Carrot to Stick
A former Supreme Court litigator, Sen. Mike Lee has already reached his verdict. He told RCP that by “coercing private citizens to undergo a medical procedure,” the president “has shown a wanton disregard for the U.S. Constitution.” It isn’t that Lee objects to the vaccine. He took it, and he explained at length earlier this year why he did. The Utah Republican, like many of his conservative colleagues, objects to making the shot mandatory. He didn’t hold back in his criticism of the president and his new policy. “As a would-be autocrat, Biden endangers the very fibers of this great nation,” Lee said. “Freedom and agency are the hallmarks of the American experiment.”

BEHIND THE DEEP STATE
Sundance: White House Extends National Election Emergency Granting Authority for Federal Intelligence Agencies to Enter State Election Databases for Mid-Term Election
In the lead-up to the critical 2018 mid-term elections, President Trump’s political opposition needed a control mechanism in order to remove him from office and support the impeachment path. The administrative state -writ large- produced an overwhelming narrative leading to the issuance of a Executive Declaration of A National Emergency to Avoid Foreign Interference in Our Elections. At the time the narrative was framed (mid-2018), the argument was: if President Trump did not declare the emergency, and grant the federal intelligence community the right to enter state election databases and “monitor” the activity therein, that refusal itself would be proof Donald Trump was a Russian asset. Remember, the Mueller investigation was at its apex and the office of the president was surrounded by administration officials like Mike Pence (VP), Jeff Sessions, Rod Rosenstein (DOJ), Alexander Vindman (NSC), Dana Boente (FBI), Dan Coats (DNI), Michael Attkinson (ICIG), et al; all of them carrying ulterior motives. President Trump signed the emergency declaration and granted the Intelligence Branch of Government full access to the state-level election systems. In short, President Trump was forced by his Machiavellian captors to seal his own fate. […] It was not coincidental that most of the new 2018 Democrat candidates for office came from former and/or current CIA and intelligence agencies. A few people wondered . . . […] Fast forward to 2020, and the same Federal Declaration of a National Election Emergency was used to support the COVID mail-in ballot narrative, while the same intelligence branch operatives coordinated with state-level political activists to manipulate the outcome.

JANUARY 6
Kelly: Justice Department’s Foremost Felony Charge May Be on Thin Ice
Even in this toxic political atmosphere, will American juries consent to criminalize previously lawful political protest in the nation’s capital? […] . . . the Justice Department’s premier felony charge—obstruction of an official proceeding—is on shaky legal ground, to say the least. It’s a substitute for the sedition cases they cannot prove in court. Prosecutors have slapped the felony count, which is punishable by up to 20 years in jail, against at least 200 defendants, including mostly misdemeanor cases, in an attempt to turn Trump-supporting trespassers into convicted felons. Several defendants, including Jacob Chansely, the so-called QAnon Shaman, and Paul Hodgkins have pleaded guilty to the charge; both will serve prison time even though neither man has a criminal record. (Chansley has been behind bars since January. Judge Royce Lamberth refuses to release Chansley from jail, despite pleas from his attorney that he suffers from mental health issues.) The statute, which I explained in a March column, was passed by Congress in response to the Enron scandal. It’s a clause under 18 U.S. Code section 1512, which criminalizes attempts to tamper with a witness or evidence. When George W. Bush signed the “obstruction of an official proceeding” provision in 2002, he specifically warned the law should not infringe on “the constitutional right to petition the Government for redress of grievances.” That, however, is exactly how Joe Biden’s Justice Department is applying the statute.

2022 ELECTION
ALMON: The Left Are Freaking Out Over Bannon’s Local Takeover Strategies… Because They Work.
It seems like socialism is spreading across the United States like an unstoppable wave. The last year and a half have seen mandates, lockdowns, and vaccine passports, in addition to critical race theory, extreme gender ideology, and the breakdown of trust in the integrity of our elections. Our elected leaders often fail to understand the gravity of the situation. What can we do to stop this tide? […] Former Breitbart chairman and Trump advisor Steve Bannon has put out a call for conservative activists to reshape the Republican Party, transforming it from the establishment club of Mitch McConnell, Lindsey Graham, and Mitt Romney into something that is in line with President Trump’s appeal to make America great again. The left is clearly worried. Progressive outlet ProPublica recently published a hysterical piece warning of the MAGA takeover of the GOP. […] Conservatives of Ada County, Idaho, stung by the loss of the County Commission in 2018, mounted their own insurgent campaign in 2020. They recruited new precinct committeemen. They vetted exciting new candidates. They walked the streets of their neighborhoods, ringing doorbells and passing out materials. It paid off.

Network America: What’s The Precinct Strategy?
“The office of precinct committeeman (“PC”) has been called “the most powerful office in the land” because the PC is the closest structured political officeholder to the registered voter. A registered voter has no vote in internal Party policy; a precinct committeeman does. A PC elects district, county and state party officers, delegates to the Presidential convention, etc. PCs sent to the Pres. Convention vote on what policies the party platform will be advocated in the next two years.” […] Network America believes that the Constitution and Bill of Rights, along with the 7 Guiding Principles developed by Guardians for Liberty, provide a sound basis to ensure the widest possible participation in the Precinct Project.

Bawer: Celebrating Our Enemies, Twenty Years after 9/11
On 9/11, the world was shown, in one horrific, indelible image, precisely what Islam is all about. Instead, Bush – who had gotten it into his head that all religions are basically good, and who was manipulated by advisors who wanted to project American power in a part of the world about which they knew very little – used 9/11 as an excuse to rein in Americans’ civil liberties and go nation-building abroad. It was a massive folly, doomed to failure. Why doomed?

Spencer: September 11, 2021: Twenty Years of Failure
On Friday, September 10, 2021, the Philadelphia chapter of the Hamas-linked Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) is presenting a panel discussion entitled “Remember Pearl Harbor to Never Forget 9/11: Teaching Japanese American and Muslim American Histories.” There in a nutshell is much of what has gone wrong in our nation’s response to the 9/11 jihad attacks, and why we are so drastically on the wrong path now. The CAIR panel is as noteworthy for what it is not about than for what it is about. It is not about the victims of 9/11, the lives lost, the lives destroyed, the magnitude of human suffering that was inflicted. It is most certainly not about the ongoing global jihad: a useful panel could be held on groups that still exist around the world that hold to the same belief system, ideology and goals that the 9/11 plotters and hijackers held, and which are an ongoing threat to Americans and to all free people. Hamas-linked CAIR is never going to hold such a panel, and neither is anyone else. Instead, CAIR, predictably enough, focuses on the people who hold the same beliefs as the jihad attackers of 9/11 and have, CAIR claims, been victimized and discriminated against in the United States as a result.

BIDEN/HARRIS/OBAMA REGIME: TRANSFORMING AMERICA
Bedford: There’s A Reason DC Democrats Are Always Winning, Even When They Lose
To put it simply, Republicans approach politics like America fights wars: They don’t want to lose a single man. Democrats, on the other hand? They look at politics like the Russians looked at Stalingrad: The congressman in front votes now; when they fall the next man gets elected and he will vote too.

Abramson: Woke Crescent
Like Obama, Biden bends the arc of the Left toward Islamism. After 20 years of sacrifice and toil, massive investment of American blood and treasure, and sweeping promises to the people of Afghanistan, the U.S., and the world, America’s political class has abandoned Afghanistan to the Taliban. In the span of eight short months, Joe Biden ended America’s “endless war” without regard to the costs sunk, the military equipment handed to the enemy, or the lives destroyed. By any objective measure, it was a rout—a disastrous defeat for America courtesy of the Biden Administration. So why does so much of the establishment seem to be satisfied with what happened? Aside from the ugly optics of the retreat, Biden and his claque don’t seem to mind the end result overmuch. In fact, President Biden informed America that, appearances to the contrary notwithstanding, his withdrawal as an “extraordinary success.”
America today is in the grips of an internal struggle over values, goals, and meaning itself. […] What we’re witnessing is another clear demonstration of the corruption and anti-Americanism driving American elites.

Lance Morrow: Dismal Sequels
The 20 years since 9/11 have produced two tragic outcomes: Afghanistan has reverted to the Taliban, and—unexpectedly—America has disappeared down a rabbit hole. Barbarism, in different forms, is on the march in both countries. Americans intervened in Afghanistan in order to deny safe haven to terrorists and somehow to change that country for the better. Alas, at the end of the 20 years, Afghanistan finds itself back in the seventh century. It was America that got changed, almost beyond recognition. Americans split down the middle and became their own worst enemies. Their politics grew hysterical and vicious and surreal. They took to despising one another. In the early days of George W. Bush’s presidency, everyone agreed that Islamist terrorism was the great threat. In the early days of Joe Biden’s presidency, to hear one side tell it, the most dangerous menace turns out to be white Americans—whiteness itself. And “systemic racism.” It’s worse than that: one might say that the great Satan is American history itself, which from the start (from 1619 on) has been the story of a crime. The indictment is comprehensive: The bizarre theologies of wokeness enjoin a thousand heresies—“cultural appropriation,” disrespect for someone’s “pronouns,” and other offenses that any sane society would find hilarious, except that in these days, since the turning of the American lake, such matters are deadly serious. There is no more humor in the kingdom of the woke than there was in Walter Ulbricht’s East Germany in 1954. People lose their jobs, their careers—they are ostracized and publicly shamed—for saying something regarded as incorrect.
