HAPPY HANUKKAH  (Began November 28 and ends at nightfall on December 6, 2021)

. . . also known as the Festival of Lights, is an eight-day Jewish holiday commemorating the rededication of the Holy Temple (the Second Temple) in Jerusalem at the time of the Maccabean Revolt of the 2nd century BCE. Hanukkah is observed for eight nights and days.

Rabbi Pinchas Landis: The History of Hanukkah They Didn’t Teach You in Hebrew School
Let’s delve into the history of Hanukkah to understand the deeper meaning of the holiday. In 313 BCE, Alexander the Great had solidified his rule over the Persian empire. His attention had been drawn to political unrest in Judah1. Since the Jew’s return in 350 BCE, their sovereignty had been continuously challenged by the (not so good) Samaritans who had occupied the land of Israel during the Jew’s exile to Babylon. As a sign of appreciation towards the Greek Emperor, every baby boy born that year was given the name Alexander. With the rise of Alexander over the Persians, who had sponsored the Jews’ return to Israel, the Samaritans . . .

John Adams Founding Father and second President of the United States:  “Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other.”

Patricia McCarthy contributor to American Thinker: Smug is the word that best describes the nature of the Democrat party. Moral superiority is their claim to fame.  Confidence in their ability is their currency. Complacency is their fatal flaw.

Glenn Reynolds UT law professor:  “What’s wrong with “the new elite?”  forget cultural insularity or smugness.  The main problem with the “new elite” is that they’re not elite at all. That is, they aren’t particularly smart, or competent.”

Sundance contributor to The Last Refuge: The DOJ-CRS giving applicants access to the DOJ database is the same type of “mistake” as the FBI contractors unlawfully using the NSA database to assist in opposition research against the campaign and presidency of Donald Trump; which is to say, it wasn’t a mistake.

Conservative Treehouse headline: Racism, Joe Biden and Kamala Harris Block People of Color Traveling From Africa on Black Friday

Judge Daniel Green Missouri’s Cole County, on 11/22/21 ruled: “This case is about whether Missouri’s Department of Health and Senior Services (DHSS) regulations can abolish representative government in the creation of public health laws, and whether it can authorize closure of a school or assembly based on the unfettered opinion of an unelected official. This court finds it cannot.”

Joe Martino contributor to The Pulse: Regardless of the statistics and the clear indication that vaccines are only helpful for a subset of the population who are vulnerable, Robb Butler from the WHO feels that “what we need is every member of society vaccinated.” Our society is faced with a deep moment of questioning.

Dr. Ileana Johnson Paugh contributor to Canada Free Press: No matter what they call it, global warming, climate change, climate crisis, the “net zero” agenda is going to control every aspect of your lives and it is going to cost a bundle in food prices, energy, electricity, water, heating, air conditioning, taxation, and everything else we do in society.

Jorge González-Gallarza contributor to The American Conservative: Thirty years ago, America led the world’s defeat of communism. With enough facts and spine, its homegrown variant can be defeated again.

Julie Kelly contributor to American Greatness: Set aside the irony that the former editor-in-chief of the first war on terror’s biggest propaganda organ, the now-shuttered Weekly Standard—which Hayes, consumed by contempt for Donald Trump and his supporters, ran into the ground in 2018—is now dismissing evidence of a domestic war on terror; Hayes and Goldberg, fulfilling their role as useful idiots for the Left, are wrong once again.

Robert F. Kennedy, Jr.  Children’s Health Defense (CHD) board chair and lead counsel: “Books might literally be the last bastion of free speech in America.”

Kristenev: True hierarchy of power – Romans 13
Every office holder, from mayors to the President and any appointed magistrate or administrator are subject to God and what He has ordained. In the United States, that is the Constitution which codified the Declaration of Independence where the overall power of authority is named: […]  The first mistake made by those directing citizens to be subject to governmental edicts and constraints is to assume that officeholders are the authority. They are not. They are conferred limited power by those who constituted the government, the People. Yet the People are still not the highest authority, that station is held by God alone and every soul is subject to Him. How then is this hierarchical power to be demonstrated when there has been a backward application of authority? What has occurred in the United States is a complete inversion of the power structure that has educated citizens to believe that the servant government is the ultimate authority, that citizens, the People, are the slaves, and that God is removed from the chain of command altogether. Wrong. […] According to Romans 13:2, “whoever resisteth the power, resisteth the ordinance of God: and they that resist shall receive to themselves damnation,” if persons in seats of authority are resisting the “ordinance of God” that is carefully inscribed in the Constitution, well, it’s evident what they are incurring. In this nation, the rulers spoken of in Romans 13 are the People who crafted the Constitution that alludes to God as the ultimate authority, never an individual, judge or Congress who is allowed the privilege of holding office. Romans 13:11-13 supplies what the next steps are to be taken by the People who wrote the Law of the Land, the Constitution: . . .

Vakil: Greene: McCarthy ‘doesn’t have the full support to be Speaker’
“We know that Kevin McCarthy has a problem in our conference. He doesn’t have the full support to be Speaker,” Greene said in an episode of the “Firebrand with Matt Gaetz” podcast. “He doesn’t have the votes that are there, because there’s many of us that are very unhappy about the failure to hold Republicans accountable, while conservatives like me, Paul Gosar, and many others just constantly take the abuse by the Democrats. The American people aren’t going to have it,” she continued.

The theory of disparate impact is one of the most pernicious doctrines in the history of American law, and it has spread generally through the culture. Last night on the Tucker Carlson show, with Brian Kilmeade hosting, Heather Mac Donald explained in just a few minutes how disparate impact theory drives much that is making life in America increasingly unlivable: . . .

Dr. Paugh: “Climate Crisis”
Take note of the billionaire titans mentioned in Doerr’s book, Mary Barra, Jeff Bezos, Bill Gates, and Al Gore. You will pay for this “climate crisis” plan dearly and be happy about it. The latest push to “net zero” emissions by 2040 comes in the form of a book and a glossy insert advertising the said book in the Washington Post. Think of this “net zero” emissions as your ticket to more global warming taxation, cold winters in your homes, hot summers in your homes, expensive electricity, high fossil fuel prices, and total control of your movements and travel to and from work. In “Speed and Scale” author John Doerr proposes an “action plan for solving the climate crisis.” […]  The jet-setting elites who fly around the world do not seem to be too concerned about polluting the air and the environment we share with them; they are more interested in their companies’ bottom lines and their bank accounts. They are not shy about telling us to cut back on everything we hold dear. They are justified to jet-set around the world to save Planet Earth for the minions who are too stupid to understand. […]  The elitist billionaires want you to ride a train, walk, bike, give up your cars altogether, stop traveling anywhere, stop eating meat, dairy, and eat their fake food. Author John Doerr is a venture capitalist of the “clean tech movement” who runs Kleiner Perkins; he was a board member at Amazon and Google. He is interested in issues of climate change, public health, and education. The ten objectives proposed are: . . .

In her first act in office, recently sworn-in Democratic Boston Mayor Michelle Wu signed an ordinance ordering the city to divest from the fossil fuel industry as well as the tobacco and private prison industries by 2025, according to the announcement. The action was unanimously approved by the Boston City Council on Nov. 17. The move calls for the city to withdraw $65 million from its portfolio immediately, the Associated Press reported. Roughly 15% of Boston’s revenue comes from fossil fuel investments.

Algar: NYC kids still eating school lunch outdoors despite dropping temps
Kids in some city schools are still eating lunch outdoors each day due to social distancing rules despite plunging temperatures and steamed parents. “It’s getting a little ridiculous at this point,” said a mom at MS 104 in Manhattan, where kids again pulled apart their string cheese in 39-degree weather Wednesday. “They’ve eaten outdoors every day this week. It’s cold.” A mom at a Park Slope elementary school said her child has also been dining al freezo for the entire year and began complaining about the conditions this week. “We’ve heard no plans to bring them inside anytime soon,” she said. “In fact, they are still asking for parents to give the school their Fresh Direct bags to create seating pads. It doesn’t sound like they’re going in.” […]  Several parents also noted that teachers and administrators are not eating in the elements.

Sundance: Very Interesting DOJ Inspector General Finding, CRS Officials Recently Gave Applicants Access to Main Justice Database
This report from inside the Dept of Justice Office of Inspector General is very interesting; not just because of the ideology and agency attached to the issue they investigated, but also because of the recent timing this year – [ie. while the Rittenhouse and Arbery cases were being conducted.] The essential summary of the OIG issue is that someone inside the DOJ Civil Rights Division; someone in charge of the secretive internal agency known as the Community Relations Service (CRS); gave access to the computer database of Main Justice to employment applicants for the CRS. [OIG Report Link] We have tracked the CRS activity for years {Example Go Deep}.  The core ideology of the CRS is virtually unknown to the public.  The activists who apply for employment positions inside the CRS have one ideological outlook in support of radical elements like NAACP, Black Lives Matter, ANTIFA, and other social justice causes.  There is no other ideology in the agency of the CRS. Advancement of radical race-based agenda is their mission within the DOJ.  That reality is well beyond dispute. […]  The CRS watches, and in many ways facilitates, politicians and federal officials stirring up racial strife.  The CRS supports cultural Marxism. However, when the inevitable violence surfaces, the CRS must control the backlash.   [NOTE: The CRS only activates when the minority supported group attack the majority non-supported group.] […]  The DOJ-CRS giving applicants access to the DOJ database is the same type of “mistake” as the FBI contractors unlawfully using the NSA database to assist in opposition research against the campaign and presidency of Donald Trump; which is to say, it wasn’t a mistake.

Daley: Kavanaugh Could Cast the Swing Vote That Overturns Roe v. Wade
Justice Brett Kavanaugh is expected to be the swing vote when the Supreme Court takes up a challenge to Roe v. Wade later this year. A review of the justice’s opinions suggests that he is open to overturning the landmark 1973 decision. The Court will hear arguments on Dec. 1 in a case challenging Mississippi’s 15-week abortion ban. A clinic in Jackson, Miss., is attacking the law on constitutional grounds, and the state has responded by asking the Court to overrule Roe altogether. Kavanaugh is the most closely watched justice in the case, Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization. Pro-choice forces need support from two Republican-appointed justices to preserve Roe. The Court’s most conservative members—Justices Clarence Thomas, Samuel Alito, and Neil Gorsuch—make unlikely prospects, having criticized Roe to varying degrees. Justice Amy Coney Barrett is less certain, but she was associated with pro-life causes as a law professor and has questioned Roe‘s precedential weight in her scholarly writing. That leaves Chief Justice John Roberts as a prospective fourth vote, and Kavanaugh as a fifth.

Duggan: Here’s What 375 Women Told The Supreme Court About The Harms Of Late-Term Abortion
The 375 women signed affidavits describing how they were harmed by their abortions, detailing injuries including punctured uteruses, punctured colons, sterility and excessive bleeding, among other side effects. One woman whose cervix was sealed by scar tissue from an abortion she had the month before her wedding described her and her baby nearly dying in childbirth from a later pregnancy. She suffered 13 years of infertility and had four miscarriages after her only child was born. The affidavits were collected as part of Operation Outcry, the world’s largest collection of legally admissible testimonies from women harmed by abortions. Allan Parker, president of the Justice Foundation, began collecting them when he was lead counsel for Norma McCorvey, who identified herself as the Roe of Roe v. Wade, as she pushed to reverse the landmark ruling made on her behalf. […]  Abortion advocates have pushed campaigns aimed at telling stories of women who were positive about making the decision to end a pregnancy. The #ShoutYourAbortion social media movement was popularized in 2015 to destigmatize the procedure and celebrate its accessibility. The movement encouraged women to be vocal about their abortions and unashamed.

Alexander: The Right’s Love Affair with Kyrsten Sinema and the Elephant in the Room
Many on the right are breathlessly talking about Democratic Sen. Kyrsten Sinema of Arizona as if she’s the next Ronald Reagan, fawning all over her, commenting on how beautiful she is and how they’d like to see her on a vice presidential ticket for president. It’s true she’s provided crucial assistance blocking radical leftist bills or watering them down. But overall, her voting record isn’t that much different than most Democrats.  In 2018, when she first ran for the U.S. Senate, her lifetime rating from the American Conservative Union in the House of Representatives was 13. It’s only gone up to 14.59 in 2020, and is lower than it was in 2013. Similarly, The Heritage Foundation’s lifetime ranking of Sinema is 9. The truth is, she has merely opposed her own party on a few high-profile bills. Sen. Joe Manchin (D-WV) has voted against the party far more often, 8%, compared to Sinema’s miniscule 2.8%. As of June 7, she voted with President Joe Biden 100% of the time.

Sundance: NIH Director Cannot Explain Why Florida Has Lowest COVID Infection Rate in Nation, Apparently The Result Defies The Acceptable Science
National Institutes of Health Director Dr. Francis Collins appeared on Fox News today to push the panic button around the latest COVID variant, Omicron.  Dr. Collins was pushing the vaccine hard as he explained why Americans need to be concerned about the latest variant. […]  However, in the face of all the panic promotion, NIH Director Collins was asked to reconcile why Florida, the most open and free state in the nation – that does not have any COVID mandates in place, would also have the lowest infection rate in the country.   Dr. Collins refused to answer the question, and instead repeated his rehearsed talking points.

Sundance: Confused South African Medical Community Says Omicron Variant Only Has Mild Symptoms, “We Do Not Know Why So Much Hype”
The Times of India, a media outlet previously very skeptical of Big Pharma, is reporting from the South African Medical Association that officials are puzzled about the hype around Omicron. The variant has only produced mild symptoms in regional patients with very little impact. JOHANNESBURG: “The new Omicron variant of the coronavirus results in . . .   […] Occam’s Razor – The new variant is being hyped because international governments need it to be hyped.  The biggest threat to politicians and the global financial system attempting to Build Back Better via enlarged government spending, is not COVID; the biggest threat is anger from the citizenry over the inflation the government spending and buying of debt is creating.

Faddis: Why Isn’t Everyone In Bangladesh Dead?
Bangladesh just reported zero COVID deaths in the entire country in a 24-hour period. Charitably, one-quarter of the population is vaccinated. This poor, incredibly densely populated nation appears poised on the verge of achieving herd immunity – despite violating every principle the high priests of the pandemic assure us are necessary to beat COVID. Why? How is this possible? Bangladesh has a population of roughly 167 million people. These people are jammed together in an area the size of Pennsylvania. Pennsylvania has a population of roughly 13 million. Bangladesh has a population density of over 3000 people per square mile. The population density of the United States is 94 people per square mile. […]  COVID should be tearing through the slums of Dhaka like wildfire, and the bodies should be stacked like cordwood in the narrow, filthy alleys that separate the shacks jammed with people and the gutters running with filth. A single cough could infect dozens of people already weakened by other diseases, malnourished, and unable to afford medical care. It is not.
