Judicial Watch announced today that the U.S. Court of Appeals for District of Columbia Circuit ordered a lower court to directly review records withheld by the Justice Department about former Acting Attorney General Sally Yates related to her 2017 refusal to enforce President Donald Trump’s travel ban executive order (Judicial Watch vs. U.S. Department of Justice (No. 20-5304)). The appellate court reversed a lower court ruling that the Justice Department could withhold certain records under the Freedom of Information Act’s Exemption 5 “deliberative process privilege,” which can be used to keep secret “pre-decisional” agency records. The following is a brief summary of events and evidence in Attkisson v. DOJ and FBI over the U.S. Government Computer Intrusions. Multiple forensics exams concluded that numerous devices used by Attkisson were remotely compromised including, but not limited to: . . . Forensics exams were conducted from 2013 to present by: . . […] During the time of the government computer intrusions, Sharyl Attkisson was an investigative journalist at CBS News. Starting in approximately 2011, officials at the White House and various federal agencies began frequently contacting her and CBS management via telephone and email in attempts to controversialize or stop her reporting on a number of topics. […] During the same time period, the federal Department of Justice (DOJ) vastly expanded its offensive cyber capabilities in the name of national security, including the extraordinary decision to actively target journalists and news organizations with electronic surveillance as part of leak investigations. The FBI was the primary DOJ agency tasked with carrying out these national security investigations, using a combination of legal and illegal means. […] In March of 2019, an appellate panel of three judges determined the former Attorney General Eric Holder has immunity from Attkisson’s claims. Two of the three judges ruled Attkisson?s claims should be dismissed because she took too long, three years “and without success” to determine the names of the “John Doe” federal agents involved in the intrusions of her computers. A third judge rightly dissented, understanding that Attkisson consistently attempted to identify the John Does but the Department of Justice continuously blocked discovery, filed protective orders and filed motions to dismiss in an attempt to obstruct. The government did not turn over a single piece of paper in response to more than a dozen subpoenas. The dissenting judge called the government’s actions “Kafkaesque” for obstructing Attkisson and then blaming her for “taking too long.” Attkisson continues to move forward with the lawsuit. The Department of Justice continues to spend tax money to fight her.

For an American from the Conservative or Libertarian side of the spectrum, the last few years have been a difficult period. While the seeds were planted years ago, we saw the full blooming of “Cultural Marxism” in the US, influencing almost all of our institutions ranging from major news networks, social media corporations, city administrations, local prosecutors, our military, even The Salvation Army is tainted, and most of our local schools and universities. That is just a partial list. The simultaneous explosion of “wokeness”, the 1619 Project, Critical Race Theory, transgender militancy, inflation, and Covid related tyranny, has made 2021 a particularly ugly year. It extends so deeply into business culture today that advertisers and their ad agencies have all but eliminated white people from television ads. White people, you see, are the source of all evil and a diminished presence helps the world, even if it is demographically ridiculous. […] When the donor class, the people who fund our politicians and Black Lives Matter, start to get hurt, you will hear the howls. Thus, a flock of irritated and angry chickens will come home to roost in 2022, just in time for the mid-term Congressional elections. A total humiliation of the Democrats is the minimum we would like to see. Hopefully, the counter-revolution will be long, loud, deep, and long-lasting.

But prominent Democrat lawyer Marc Elias is predicting that Democrats will try to use litigation to prevent some duly elected Republicans from serving. “My prediction for 2022: Before the midterm election, we will have a serious discussion about whether individual Republican House Members are disqualified by Section 3 of the 14th Amendment from serving in Congress,” Elias tweeted last week. “We may even see litigation.” Dan Gainor of the Media Research Center scoffed at Elias’s absurd idea. “Marc is admitting Dems can’t win the election. So now he wants to cheat. Democrats are the real insurrectionists. Just like last time.” Elias, however, insisted that “members of Congress who engaged in insurrection or rebellion against the United States are not eligible to serve in Congress.”

Washington could join fellow West Coast states Oregon and California in legalizing zoning for multifamily dwellings statewide as part of a legislative agenda on housing policies recently announced by Gov. Jay Inslee. […] “Despite the dire need for additional housing stock and a greater variety of housing types, we continued to build low-density, detached residential homes and units at about double the rate of other high-density housing types,” according to the plan’s outline. Inslee believes that nixing ordinances limiting where duplexes, triplexes and other types of what are called “middle housing” can be built will increase the supply of affordable housing. Proponents also say that banning single-family zoning will limit urban sprawl.

Environmental groups and advocates are spending billions of dollars every year playing politics with America’s energy sector while simultaneously driving up energy costs for Americans, according to Ken Braun, the senior investigative researcher at the Capital Research Center. President Joe Biden has issued a series of executive orders since taking office in an effort to tackle the climate crisis, slash greenhouse gas emissions by more than 50 percent by 2030 and become carbon-neutral by 2050. Biden says his “whole-of-government” approach to climate change “creates well-paying jobs, grows industries, and makes the country more economically competitive.” While many have championed the president’s ambitious push toward green energy, he has also faced criticism from those working in the oil and gas industry, among others. In an interview with EpochTV’s “Crossroads” program, Braun said that numerous companies, including the Natural Resources Defense Council, Sierra Club, League of Conservation Voters, Friends of the Earth, Greenpeace, and more, are pumping a combined billion dollars a year into promoting so-called green energy, in line with the president’s push, and move away from nuclear energy.
