Daily News Roundup

Estimated Reading Time: 25 minutes

Senator Chris Murphy (D-CONN ) in a tweet: The bipartisan gun safety deal announced Sunday… is considerably more than [Democrats] hoped for initially.

Jeffrey Folks contributor to American Thinker: Biden’s weakness has emboldened our enemies, and their actions pose a threat to our security.  This is the way major wars begin.  They can be prevented only by the projection of force of the kind we saw under President Trump, and Biden projects about as much force as a lady’s fan.  His weakness will get us into another war, and our young men and women will die in that war.  There is death hanging over us, and Biden seems oblivious, . . .

Jon Rappoport contributor to Canada Free Press: Gambling that life without freedom can still be a good life is a disastrous bet. In the founding documents of America—-the Declaration of Independence, the Articles of Confederation, the Constitution—-the idea of freedom was there. Individual freedom with responsibility. Before the ink was dry, the attacks on freedom commenced. Freedom has been dented, battered, smashed, and yes, betrayed, from all quarters. But it still stands and shines. Evil creatures want to bury it for good. Now. Their only fear is we won’t let them.

Symone Sanders former top aide to president Biden, in a “Hell & High Water” podcast, explained why the price of gas won’t matter: “Mm-mm! The gas won’t matter if an insurrection is successful and y’all living under martial law.”

Stan McHugh contributor to Canada Free Press: It would be reasonable to think that a strong economy, from which we all benefit, would be to the advantage of either political party but the Democrats did not see it that way. What they saw was an economy that was creating jobs at such a rate that the sector of our population that had been on welfare, literally for generations was finding work, some for the first time in their lives. What proved even worse was that these people were learning that they preferred working and being productive and were starting to drift away from the Democrat Party.

Anthony Esolen contributor to American Greatness: A party that genuinely cares for the poor will keep its eye on the ordinary goods of human life, and it will attempt to foster conditions that enable the poor to secure those goods at the least cost, by their own initiative, with as little interference from third parties as possible. That does not mean low-cost daycare and food stamps. It means, with few exceptions, no need for daycare and no need for food stamps.

Kari Lake Republican primary candidate for AZ governor discussed VP Mike Pence’s visit to the southern border:  Yes, the Vice President was here saying the states shouldn’t be involved.  It should be up to the federal government. And I guess that’s true in a rainbow and lollypop world but we’re down here in Arizona living in the cartel world where, because of Joe Biden and because of a corrupt stolen, election, they put Joe Biden in the White House.  And now we have a disaster at our border. President Trump had the border under control. It was the best I had seen in 27 years. I had been covering as a journalist.  And now that I’m a candidate we have our Defend Arizona Border Policy and we are going to defend this border and stop the cartels from being in control.

Chuck Chalberg contributor to The Imaginative Conservative: Mr. Continetti may want a “viable” conservatism, but does he desire a winning conservatism? That, too, is apparently an open question. As a second hundred-year internal conservative war is perhaps about to begin, he seems more determined that the Republican Party and the conservative movement begin the difficult, but necessary, task of “untangling” themselves from Donald Trump rather than build a winning coalition. Matthew Continetti may have fired his shot, but has he fired it in the wrong direction?

Tristin Justice contributor to The Federalist: At the same time that Wyoming’s largest attraction shut down, the state’s sole congresswoman, Liz Cheney, was in Washington D.C. conducting the second episode of her beloved Jan. 6 Committee’s Soviet-style show trial to prosecute Trump and his supporters. So far, a single tweet Tuesday afternoon is the extent of Cheney’s public addressing of the flooding that’s shut down her state’s top recreational space which drew 4.9 million visits last year and added more than $444 million to local communities in 2020.

John Nantz columnist for TownHall: What is at the heart of destroying the meaning of “woman,” is the destruction of the nuclear family—the cornerstone of the civil society. But where the concept of “woman” mystifies democrats, they are strangely dogmatic when it comes to the definition of “Violent White Supremacist Extremist.” (WSE) Biden’s Department of Homeland Security defines the WSE as: “individuals who seek, wholly or in part, through unlawful acts of force or violence, to support their belief in the intellectual and moral superiority of the white race over other races. The mere advocacy of political or social positions, political activism, use of strong rhetoric, or generalized philosophic embrace of violent tactics may be constitutionally protected activities.”

Dennis Prager contributor to TownHall: In the true Orwellian spirit of the Left, the overriding claim of feminists that feminism empowers women is the opposite of the truth. Over the past half-century, modern feminism has not strengthened women, but weakened them.

Sundance: Economic Security is National Security, and the Foundation of Economic and National Security is Energy Policy, Biden is a Threat to National Security

Economic security is the foundation of national security.  When the government takes action that destabilizes our economy, every element of national security is put at risk.  We are experiencing that right now as we suffer through Joe Biden’s intentionally flawed energy policy that is destroying the U.S. economy and everyone within it. “It must be remembered that there is nothing more difficult to plan, more doubtful of success, nor more dangerous to manage than a new system. For the initiator has the enmity of all who would profit by the preservation of the old institution and merely lukewarm defenders in those who gain by the new ones.” ~ Niccolo Machiavelli Never has that Machiavelli quote been more apropos than when considering the MAGA movement and the rise of Donald Trump. Thankfully, we are now in an era when the largest coalition of American voters have awakened to the reality that, to quote the former president: “Economic Security is National Security.” […]  If you accept that at its essential core elements the phrase “economic security is national security” is true – meaning the lives of the American citizen, person, worker, individual or family are best when their economic position is secure – then any potential leader for our nation must be able to initiate policies that directly touch the economics of a person’s life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.  As a result, economic security and economic policy must be the fulcrum of their platform. Now, look around and ask yourself this question: “What separated Donald J. Trump from the remaining field of 17 GOP candidates in 2016?”   An honest top-line answer would be immigration (border control), and his views on American economic policy.   In essence, what set Donald Trump apart from all other candidates was his view on the U.S. economy, and that was the driving factor behind ‘Make America Great Again’, MAGA. Now, look around.  Look at every other potential candidate for political office. Is there another person in the field of your political view who comes from the starting point that economic security is national security? […]  Trump knows the extremely consequential sequence of BIG things that lead to a structurally strong American economic foundation. We don’t have to guess at whether Trump can deliver on that policy sequence, we have reference points. […]  We also don’t need to guess at who is the best candidate to lead Making America Great Again, we already know who that is. There is no other 2024 Presidential Candidate, who I am aware of, who could possibly achieve what Donald John Trump has achieved, or who could even fathom contemplating how to achieve a quarter of what President Trump achieved. Governor Ron DeSantis has a lot of really good skills . . .

American Minute with Bill Federer:  “Our threat is from the insidious forces working from within … infiltrated into positions of public trust” -General MacArthur; “Under no circumstances must Taiwan fall under Communist control”

One must understand the changes in Chinese character and culture … China, up to 50 years ago … followed the tenets of the Confucian ideal of pacifist culture. At the turn of the century, under the regime of Chang Tso Lin, efforts … produced the start of a nationalist urge. … This was further … developed under the leadership of Chiang Kai-Shek, but has been brought to its greatest fruition under the present regime to the point that it has now taken on the character of a united nationalism of increasingly dominant, aggressive tendencies. … Through these past 50 years the Chinese people have thus become militarized … They now constitute excellent soldiers, with competent staffs and commanders. … This has produced a new and dominant power in Asia, which, for its own purposes, is allied with Soviet Russia but which in its own concepts and methods has become aggressively imperialistic, with a lust for expansion and increased power …

Ross: ‘Dangerous’: Top FBI Official Had Close Relationship With Dozens of Journos, Accepted Tickets to White House Correspondents’ Dinner

The FBI’s top national security official had dozens of improper meetings with journalists and accepted tickets from one journalist to the White House Correspondents’ Dinner, interactions that FBI officials said were a “no-no” and “dangerous.” Michael Steinbach, who served as an FBI executive assistant director, failed to report the gifts on his federal financial disclosures, according to an inspector general report obtained by the Washington Free Beacon. He met regularly from 2014 until his abrupt retirement in February 2017 with 7 reporters and had contact with 21 others. His interactions with journalists overlapped with his work on major counterterrorism cases and Crossfire Hurricane, the ill-fated investigation into collusion between the 2016 Donald Trump campaign and Russia. The report, obtained through the Freedom of Information Act, is the latest example of a top FBI official accepting gifts from journalists. The former head of FBI public affairs, Michael Kortan, received baseball game tickets and other gifts from CNN and New York Times reporters. Journalists also plied Steinbach’s former deputy, Bryan Paarmann, with a variety of gifts.

Saavedra: Biden Admin To Discipline Border Patrol Agents Who Were Cleared Of Wrongdoing In ‘Whipping’ Incident

“Per federal source, DHS is preparing to discipline multiple horseback Border Patrol agents who were accused of ‘whipping’ Haitian migrants in Del Rio last summer. I’m told DHS will imminently allege ‘administrative violations’, agents will be able to respond,” Melugin wrote. “Per federal source, this announcement is expected to come down any day now. It’s unclear what ‘administrative violations’ the BP agents will be accused of, but they are not being accused of any criminal conduct. The horseback unit involved is based out of Carrizo Springs, TX.”

Steinhauser: Split decision for Trump in high profile South Carolina GOP congressional primaries

So far this primary season, a Trump endorsed candidate had yet to knock off a GOP incumbent who had crossed the former president. But that changed on Tuesday as South Carolina state lawmaker Russell Fry convincingly defeated five-term Rep. Tom Rice in the Republican primary in South Carolina’s reliably red 7th Congressional District. But the former president didn’t receive the sweep he was hoping for – as Rep. Nancy Mace held on in the GOP primary in the state’s swingy 1st Congressional District to defeat former state lawmaker Katie Arrington, who was backed by Trump. […]  Six of the 10 House Republicans who voted to impeach Trump are running for reelection, and Rice was the first to face a challenger endorsed by the former president.

Pearce: Adam Laxalt Wins GOP Senate Primary In Nevada, Will Challenge Democrat Incumbent Catherine Cortez Masto

Former Nevada Attorney General Adam Laxalt on Tuesday won the GOP nomination to face incumbent Sen. Catherine Cortez Masto (D) for U.S. Senate. Laxalt, who former President Donald Trump endorsed last year, beat retired Army captain and purple heart recipient Sam Brown for the nomination. Laxalt’s opponent in the general, Cortez Masto, is one of the most vulnerable Democrats in 2022 as Republicans seek to regain control of the U.S. Senate. […]  In the race for governor, Clark County Sheriff Joe Lombardo, who was also endorsed by Trump, won the nod from Nevada Republicans to challenge Democrat Governor Steve Sisolak in what is expected to be another highly competitive race.

Schwab: Texas Republican beats Democrat to become FIRST Mexican-born congresswoman to serve in the House: Migrant Mayra Flores – backed by Elon Musk – thanks Trump after her win and says under him ‘we did not have a mess in this country’

Republican Mayra Flores made history last night by becoming the first Mexican-born congresswoman to serve in the House after beating a Democrat in a special election in Texas. A once solidly Democratic district in South Texas will now be represented by the Republican after Flores beat Democrat Dan Sanchez in a special primary election to finish the term of former Democratic Rep. Filemon Vela, who resigned this year to become a lobbyist. Flores, a GOP organizer who is the daughter of migrant workers and a respiratory care practitioner, will hold the seat for several months before the district is redrawn to be more favorable to Democrats. But her victory in the heavily Hispanic Rio Grand Valley is an ominous sign for Democrats – and demonstrates that Republicans are making inroads with Hispanic voters. Tesla CEO Elon Musk said he had voted for Republican for the first time in order to vote for Flores. He tweeted: ‘I voted for Mayra Flores – first time I ever voted Republican. Massive red wave in 2022.  Flores lauded former President Donald Trump in her victory speech. ‘We have to state the facts: That under President Trump, we did not have this mess in this country,’ she said. ‘And I want to see the Hispanic community rise up. And I want equal representation on both parties – I am the first Mexican-American ever elected to Congress,’ she said to cheers. Flores’ win makes her the first Mexican-born American to serve in the US House, but also the first Republican Latina from the state of Texas to serve. [NOTE: The seat had been held by Democrats for 150 years in a district that is 84% Hispanic.]

Boyd: McConnell, His 10 GOP Pushovers, And Any Others Who Attack The Second Amendment Can’t Be In Leadership

The bill text is still not available but from what Democrat Sen. Chris Murphy’s Twitter feed and the official framework indicate, the legislation could include sweeping measures such as problematic red flag laws that overstep too many constitutional bounds for Republicans to comfortably sacrifice. Despite concerns that the legislation could compromise Americans’ Second, Fifth, and Fourteenth Amendment rights, McConnell and 10 of his squishiest GOP colleagues including Sens. John Cornyn of Texas, Thom Tillis of North Carolina, Roy Blunt of Missouri, Rob Portman of Ohio, Richard Burr of North Carolina, Mitt Romney of Utah, Bill Cassidy of Lousiana, Susan Collins of Maine, Lindsey Graham of South Carolina, and Pat Toomey of Pennsylvania plan to join the Democrats’ anti-gun escapades. Together, they caved to the emotional blackmail wielded by Murphy and amplified by the corporate media.

Bernstein: The Supreme Court Could Foster a New Kind of Civil War

The Supreme Court’s expected overturning of Roe v. Wade has captured all the news attention, but the Court could well lay the groundwork for even larger changes in American governance before it adjourns for the term — and trigger a state-by-state battle for the new shape of laws and American civic life.

If Roe v. Wade is overturned, activists on both sides are already girding for full-force political battles over state abortion access, possibly followed by similar struggles over contraception, and even same-sex marriage. Beyond its decision on abortion, however, the Court is expected to rule in no fewer than three cases this month that could open up many more fronts for this state-by-state conflict, by severely limiting federal agencies’ authority to promulgate regulations. […] . . . there’s a reason these cases are being left to the end of the term — typically when the Court drops its most newsworthy decisions. They all have a bearing on one of the basic responsibilities of the government in Washington: How much latitude federal agencies have to interpret, and then enforce, the laws that Congress passes.[…]  A great deal of Washington’s power rests on a fact you don’t learn in civics textbooks: When Congress passes new laws, those laws are filled with instructions that can be vague, or debatable, or even self-contradictory. Laws need to be reapplied to new circumstances over time. Who gets to do that? For decades, courts have generally allowed federal agencies to make those calls — a policy made explicit in the 1984 Chevron v. National Resources Defense Council decision. That case also involved the Clean Air Act, with the ambiguous phrase at issue being “stationary sources” of air pollution. The Democratic administration of Jimmy Carter had interpreted that expansively; when Ronald Reagan’s administration later redefined the term more narrowly, environmental advocates asked the courts to not let them. Under the reasoning laid out in the Chevron decision, courts  . . .

Chasmar: These 27 Democrats voted against protections for Supreme Court justices

The House passed a bill Tuesday to increase security for Supreme Court justices’ immediate families, with 27 Democrats voting against, less than a week after a man was arrested for allegedly plotting to kill Justice Brett Kavanaugh. The bill that’s now headed to President Biden’s desk for final approval provides for 24-hour protection for Supreme Court justices’ families, similar to what is already provided for some members of the executive and legislative branches. (Canada) Bingham: Medical freedom advocate fears individuals’ finances at risk after his accounts were deleted

A medical freedom advocate and podcaster put out a warning that “they are coming after your ability to conduct financial interactions if you speak out” after his PayPal account was banned. “My personal Venmo and PayPal accounts were just deleted, and my organization’s [Health Freedom for Humanity] PayPal account was deleted,” posted Canada-based medical freedom advocate Daniel Alexander on social media earlier this month. “They are coming after your ability to conduct financial interactions if you speak out,” the advocate added. “Time to build our own financial systems and payment processors.”

Alexander’s organization, Health Freedom for Humanity, hosts a podcast on which topics that deviate from the mainstream narrative surrounding the so-called COVID pandemic are discussed. Many of the podcast’s episodes feature highly distinguished guests, including doctors, discussing opinions largely shut out by Big Tech censorship and the mainstream media under the guise of “misinformation.” […]  As reported by LifeSiteNews, in late 2021 and early 2022, PayPal banned multiple prominent pro-medical freedom groups, including the National Vaccine Information Center (NVIC), the Front Line COVID-19 Critical Care Alliance (FLCCC), and the Organic Consumer’s Association (OCA).

(Arizona) Freiburger: Navy officer used COVID vaccine facts to beat discharge for resisting Biden mandate

A 22-year U.S. Navy officer told his story of fighting COVID-19 vaccine mandates and winning as part of a wide-ranging presentation Tuesday on the state of the U.S. military under President Joe Biden that was live-streamed here on LifeSiteNews. The Flag Day press conference, hosted by the medical freedom nonprofit Truth for Health Foundation, featured remarks by Navy Lt. Billy Moseley, who objected to the mandatory COVID shots but rather than seek a religious accommodation opted to bring his objections to the administrative separation board in protest of the armed forces’ plans to implement a “blanket denial policy.” “It was easy to see that there was a bait and switch happening,” Moseley said Tuesday. “And that’s when I started reaching out to several medical clinics, going back several times and trying to document that that approved drug was not available […]. And it didn’t matter how many senior officers, medical officers, chaplains inside the military that I would raise these concerns about, it would just fall on deaf ears and or they would say something along the lines like, we know it’s wrong. I can see that it’s illegal, but what do you want me to do? There’s nothing I can do. ” Moseley was charged with failure to obey a direct order and threatened with discharge. He requested a court martial, and last month a three-officer Navy board determined unanimously that his refusal did not constitute misconduct and that he should be retained. Moseley’s attorney, R. Davis Younts, “successfully argued that the order for military members to receive the experimental COVID 19 injection was not a lawful order” and that “the military has not made the FDA-approved version of the vaccine available to military members,” according to a press release.

Greenwald: Joe Biden’s Submissive — and Highly Revealing — Embrace of Saudi Despots

Yet, as was typical for the Trump years, political and media commentators treated Trump’s decision to maintain relations with the Saudis as if it were some unprecedented aberration of evil which he alone pioneered — some radical departure of long-standing, bipartisan American values — rather than what it was: namely, the continuation of standard bipartisan U.S. policy for decades. In an indignant editorial following Trump’s statement, The New York Times exclaimed that Trump was making the world “more [dangerous] by emboldening despots in Saudi Arabia and elsewhere,” specifically blaming “Mr. Trump’s view that all relationships are transactional, and that moral or human rights considerations must be sacrificed to a primitive understanding of American national interests.” […]  Perhaps the most vocal critic of Trump’s ongoing willingness to maintain ties with the Saudi regime were then-Democratic presidential candidates Joe Biden and Kamala Harris.

Schweizer: Biden’s New Policy Funds China’s Military, Supports Slavery, Achieves Nothing

Recently the Biden administration issued new answers for Americans invested in Chinese companies with direct ties to Beijing’s military. Previously, U.S. policy was that Americans were forbidden to invest in companies included in a “blacklist” of Chinese companies directly involved in China’s military, and in producing applications used by the Communist regime to oppress its own people and threaten its neighbors. The new “answers” amount to a wholesale abandonment of a policy Americans of all political stripes supported. Just ahead of a deadline last Friday for U.S. investors to cease trading in the stocks and bonds of companies officially linked to the Chinese military, the U.S. Treasury Department’s Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) quietly notified investors that they would not be punished for holding onto such securities. The back-pedaling might be the result of successful lobbying by American financial firms unsure whether the rules would allow them to continue to trade these stocks on behalf of their non-U.S. clients and distribute dividends from those stocks to American clients. But it can also be seen as part of a long easing of economic sanctions imposed by the Trump administration, without obtaining any benefit for American prestige or negotiating leverage with China in return. […]  China remains a long-term strategic threat to the United States and policy towards it should reflect the US government understands the nature of that threat. Unilateral trade concessions do not do that.

I & I Editorial Board: Biden’s Approval Rating Is Now Lowest In Gallup’s History…

On day 487 in office, President Joe Biden set a new record. He has the lowest approval rating of all presidents at this point in their presidencies since Gallup started tracking this in 1945. According to Gallup’s Presidential Job Approval Center, just 41% approve of the job Biden is doing. That’s worse than Gerald Ford, or Lyndon Johnson, or even Jimmy Carter on day 487. Much worse than Ronald Reagan, the Bushes, Bill Clinton, or Barack Obama. To add insult to his injury, Biden’s approval rating is now lower than Trump’s was at this point in Trump’s first term. Biden’s oh-so-presidential response to his cratering support: he is “seething.” Instead of accepting blame, Biden and his “inner circle” are blaming everyone around them, including the White House staff.

GOP WAR Room: Joe Biden, Screaming: “I Don’t Wanna Hear Any More Of These Lies About Reckless Spending”

Watch the 19 second clip: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-wf_dSic2-0

LePore: ‘Since I took office, families have less debt and more savings’: Biden makes series of false claims as he addresses labor unions – and gets angry as he slams ‘lies about his reckless spending’

President Joe Biden told the largest federation of labor unions on Tuesday that he’s working to rebuild the U.S. economy around workers – while at one point falsely declaring that families have less debt and more savings than when he took office. The speech before the AFL-CIO convention in Philadelphia was the president’s attempt to reset the terms of the debate on the economy as his own approval ratings have slid while consumer prices – and the cost of gasoline – have surged. ‘Since I took office, with your help, families are carrying less debt nationwide. They have more savings nationwide,’ Biden said.

But despite the president’s pronouncements, data from the Federal Reserve shows that household debt has increased by over $1.5trillion since Biden took office in January 2021. And the country’s credit card debt is at record highs as well after jumping nearly 20% during the month of April to $1.103 trillion. The previous pre-pandemic record was $1.1 trillion. Americans’ savings accounts have also shrunk by more than $9,000 over the past year – from $73,100 in 2021 to $62,086 in 2022 – according to a survey from wealth management company Northwestern Mutual.

AFP: US Federal Reserve is poised to make its biggest increase to interest rates in nearly 30 YEARS today with speculation it will be a 75-basis-point hike

The US Federal Reserve is poised to raise borrowing costs Wednesday amid the troubling acceleration of inflation, with the only question being whether officials will opt for the biggest hike in nearly three decades or a smaller step up. The central bank seemed set to increase the benchmark interest rate again by 0.5 percentage points, but a resurgence of consumer and producer prices in May has fueled growing speculation of a 75-basis-point hike. While some economists continue to argue that such an aggressive step would indicate rising panic among policymakers who are usually reluctant to surprise financial markets, others argue that the Fed is behind the curve and needs to react strongly to prove its resolve to combat inflation. “It is possible that by Wednesday the only way for the Fed to surprise markets would be to raise rates by 50 bp,” Harvard economist and former White House advisor Jason Furman tweeted.

If policymakers decide on a giant step, it would be the first 75-basis-point increase since November 1994.

McCammond: Scoop: Keisha Lance Bottoms to join White House

President Biden is tapping former Atlanta Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms to replace Cedric Richmond as one of his most senior aides, bringing a Democratic rising star and former VP contender into the White House at a critical juncture, Axios has learned. Why it matters: As director of the White House Office of Public Engagement beginning in the coming weeks, Bottoms will immediately have access to some of the most high-level planning and strategy sessions in the West Wing — and to the president himself. The role is integral to developing Biden’s policies and then convincing the broader Democratic coalition that the president is charting the right approach. The stakes are high: Bottoms will be responsible for navigating divergent policy goals between progressives and centrists ahead of what’s expected to be an ugly midterm cycle for Democrats. Goodman: In Biden Aid Nominee, Repressive Gulf Monarchy Found Enthusiastic Ally

President Joe Biden’s nominee for a top role at the U.S. Agency for International Development has a long history of praising Qatar, the oppressive Gulf state with a shoddy human rights record that includes restrictions on free expression and the criminalization of same-sex sexual conduct. Tamara Cofman Wittes is slated to appear before the Senate Foreign Relations Committee on Thursday, where the panel will consider her nomination to be an assistant administrator of USAID. If confirmed, she would be responsible for distributing billions of American aid dollars throughout the Middle East. As a Middle East policy fellow at the Brookings Institution, where she worked first from 2003 to 2009 and then from 2012 until earlier this month, Wittes lavished praise on Qatar, a repressive nation that discriminates against gays, lesbians, and transgender individuals. Wittes described Qatar’s capital city Doha as a “global gathering place for dialogue” and amplified Qatari leaders’ claims that they support human rights and oppose “extremists who exploit religion to incite violence.” The Brookings Institution was at the time raking in millions from Qatar . . .

Kruta: Democrat Predicts ‘Impeachment,’ ‘Violence,’ And ‘Even Civil War’ If Republicans Win In November

Congressman Jamaal Bowman (D-NY) predicted that the effects would be disastrous if Republicans were to win control of Congress in November, claiming that anything from “violence” to “civil war” was possible. Bowman, during a weekend appearance on MSNBC’s “The Cross Connection,” argued that Republicans would likely impeach President Joe Biden as soon as possible if they gained control of Congress. […]  Bowman went on to claim that the Republican Party had essentially been taken over by people who were “radicalized” and believed things like “the Great Replacement myth,” arguing that such radicalization would necessarily lead to Republicans condoning violence and even worse. “And we gotta understand that this is a group that has been radicalized by the Great Replacement myth and many other things and have been pushing for violence and pushing for even civil war,” he said. “So that is what’s at stake right now in terms of this election.”

Jeffrey: Biden Falsely Accuses Trump of His Own Greatest Offense

As President Joe Biden was coming to the conclusion of his address at the AFL-CIO Convention on Tuesday, he made an inadvertently ironic observation. “We’re the most unique country in the world,” he said. “We’re organized on one notion. Every other country is organized based on ethnicity, religion, geography. But the United States is based on an idea, only country in the world based on an idea.” “Because we said we hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men and women are created equal, endowed by their Creator with certain inalienable rights: life, liberty,” said Biden.

“We’ve never met the goal, but we’ve never — other than the Trump administration — tried to walk away from that goal,” he said. […]  So, the Trump administration walked away from the goal of protecting the God-given right to life recognized in our Declaration of Independence, but Biden and the AFL-CIO did not? Hardly. The exact opposite is true.

Nelson: No record of Biden Naval Academy appointment he boasted of in speech

President Biden claimed last month at the Naval Academy’s graduation ceremony that he was appointed to the military school in 1965 by the late Sen. J. Caleb Boggs (R-Del.), but a search of Boggs’ archives has failed to turn up evidence to back the claim. Curators at the Delaware Historical Association in Wilmington were able to find records of Boggs’ academy nominations for just one year in the early 1960s and could not locate records for either 1965 or the more plausible year 1961. That means, barring evidence from an unlikely third party, that it’s probable only Biden — who often shares incorrect or exaggerated memories — can prove his claim.

Varney: Beyond the Kavanaugh Scare: Dozens of Incidents Targeting Pro-Lifers Nationwide

An armed would-be assassin’s alleged attempt on the life of Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh last week is part of a wave of violence, arson, vandalism, and intimidation targeting pro-life groups and government officials since the leak last month of a draft Supreme Court opinion that would overturn Roe v. Wade. There have been more than three dozen such incidents directed at crisis pregnancy centers and churches in at least 20 states and Washington, D.C., according to a tally maintained by LifeNews.com, an anti-abortion site.

These include: . . . […] A loosely organized group known as Jane’s Revenge claimed responsibility for several of the attacks, including the apparent arson in Wisconsin and Buffalo. The group, which sometimes attaches the Antifa “A” symbol to its pronouncements, has called for a “night of rage” over the pending Supreme Court decision, on a website called The Anarchist Library. Another group, Ruth Sent Us – . . .

Heine: Hunter Biden Searched Google For a Good Crack Cocaine Recipe, Laptop Records Show

Data found within the encrypted iPhone XS backup folder on Hunter Biden’s laptop reveals that he queried Google for tips on making crack cocaine. “I think I put too much baking soda in my mix with cocaine to make crack how do I fix it,” Hunter Biden wrote in the Google search box at 7:23 a.m. on Jan. 19, 2019, the record shows. The younger Biden’s search for a good crack recipe came only three days after he claimed to advise his father on political matters, texts from his abandoned laptop reveal. “My dad asked me to be in a call at 7:30 re political decisions,” Hunter Biden texted his psychiatrist, Keith Ablow, on Jan. 16, 2019. In texts to Ablow a year earlier, the younger Biden discussed his deep involvement with his father’s political team.

Vespa: Hunter Biden: My Dad Will Take Any Political Position At My Command

“Big guy” was a reference Hunter made reportedly about his father when he was trying to hash out a deal with CEFC China Energy which everyone and their mother knows is in bed with the communist party over there. Joe was supposedly slated to get a 10 percent cut. The deal fell through, but China gave the family some $5 million for their time. Yet, The Washington Examiner was able to access a 28GB encrypted iPhone backup that was stored on Hunter’s laptop which shows the crackhead son might have more pull in this operation. I’m not joking. A 77-minute recording has Hunter bragging that his father will support him no matter what—and that he will take his political positions at a whim. Is that why the economy and the country are in such rough shape? Because he’s been taking advice from a man who once smoked parmesan cheese thinking that it was crack cocaine? It would make sense. That plus the ongoing dementia are recipes for disaster. Andrew Kerr and Jerry Dunleavy have more (via The Washington Examiner): . . .

Gaffney: 2 police officers die of injuries after being shot while responding to call in California

Two police officers have died after being shot in El Monte, California, Tuesday while responding to a possible stabbing at a motel, authorities said. The El Monte Police Department said two officers “immediately took gunfire upon arrival” at the Siesta Inn. The officers were taken to LAC-USC Medical Center, where they died of their injuries, ABC News Los Angeles station KABC reported. The suspect was also shot and died at the scene, according to KABC.

. . .one of the leading ideas was to replace armed police officers with “community violence interventionists” (sometimes called “violence interrupters”), who would be armed not with guns, but with social science and clinical psychology instead. Gee—I wonder how this turned out? Wait no more. Northwestern University’s Institute for Policy Research recently issued a study about the matter, “Exposure to Gun Violence Among the Population of Chicago Community Violence Interventionists.” […] Our results establish that work-related exposure to gun violence and scenes of violence is common among Chicago violence interventionists. Nearly one-third of interventionists have seen someone shot while on the job, and more than one-quarter reported this experience within the last year. What is more, nearly 20% of workers reported being shot at while performing their work, with nearly 12% reporting being shot at within the last year. Beyond exposure, our results reveal that interventionists do experience direct gun violence victimization while on the job: 2·2% reported being nonfatally shot while working. . . In addition to elevated levels of direct exposure to gun violence and scenes of violence, Chicago interventionists additionally commonly experienced indirect exposure to death, violent deaths, and interpersonal loss within their work-related social networks. Really—who could have seen the coming? Maybe it’s time for Chicago to imagine actual policing—and prosecution—again.

Harsanyi: PolitiFact Spreads Misinformation On Red Flag Laws And Due Process

Here is the erstwhile journalism foundation, Poynter, campaigning for red flag laws. Beware of misinformation about red flag laws, including critics who say they lack due process, which is not accurate. Another false claim is that the laws allow people with a grudge, such as an ex-spouse, to take guns away.

Here’s a thought experiment: Let’s imagine a law that empowered a court to temporarily nullify the free speech rights of journalists who are accused by a third party of being potentially dangerous. Let’s imagine that the nullification could be enforced before the journalist even had a chance to respond to any of the allegations leveled against them. Would Poynter argue that the proper standard of due process was met? Because that’s what numerous red flag laws allow.

BlazeTV Staff: Who’s responsible for empowering swaths of society to groom your children?

In this episode of “Fearless,” Jason Whitlock and Shemeka Michelle discussed the topic of grooming and who is responsible for weaponizing sex and forcing it upon kids. Whitlock explained how he was recently met with a perplexing question on Twitter about the difference between a cheerleader twerking on the sidelines at an NFL game and a drag queen dancing at a bar. Without hesitation, Shemeka embraced her hypocrisy and refused to accept Jason’s line of thinking. Instead, she redirected her focus to her childhood. […] Shemeka’s story raised a broader question. When did parents stop censoring their children from adult behavior? Perhaps our “do as you please” and Godless culture has desensitized society and paved the way for this emboldened grooming mentality that harms children?

The construction and mining equipment giant indicated its new global headquarters will be located at its existing office in Irving, Texas, near Dallas, according to a press release. Anderson: How Stacey Abrams Helped Funnel Hundreds of Thousands of Dollars to an Israel-Hating Terrorist Sympathizer

Abrams joined the Marguerite Casey Foundation board in May 2021, business filings show. Roughly six months later, the foundation announced its 2021 cohort of “Freedom Scholars,” a group of “leading thinkers and scholars … in critical fields including abolitionist, Black, feminist, queer, radical, and anti-colonialist studies.” Included in the group was UCLA professor Robin D.G. Kelley, a leading Boycott, Divestment, and Sanctions (BDS) activist who works with groups that collaborate with Palestinian terrorists. […]  Abrams’s role in funding Kelley provides a startling window into how the Democrat could handle the BDS movement and larger issues of anti-Semitism on Georgia’s college campuses should she defeat Gov. Brian Kemp (R.) in November. As governor, Abrams would appoint members to the Board of Regents of the University System of Georgia, which oversees the state’s public colleges and universities. Georgia legislators passed a law in 2016 that forbids the state from contracting a person or company that promotes a boycott of Israel, but a federal judge struck that law down in May 2021. Abrams opposed the law as a state representative and reportedly refused to meet with pro-Israel activists at the time.

Are you fed up? Are you worried that America in rapidly sliding into a neo-Marxist state by the radical left in control of Washington with historically narrow majorities in the U.S. House and Senate and an Executive controlled by unnamed far leftists in place of a clinically incompetent President Biden? They are desperate to keep power and complete their radical progressive agenda that will change America and our liberty forever.

Americans just witnessed the passage of the Inflation Reduction Act of 2022 without one Republican vote in the U.S. Senate and House (just as Obamacare was passed in 2010). The IRS  will be hiring 87,000 new agents, many armed, to terrorize American taxpayers.

Americans witnessed the FBI raid at the Trump Mar-A-Lago home and property of President Trump, truly a first in all of American history. We know what that is about.

It is undeniable that the Democrat Party and the administrative state (the executive branches of the DOJ, FBI, IRS, et al) are clear and present dangers to our Republic and our liberty as they increasingly veer further away from the rule of law and the Constitution. What is the solution? At this critical juncture, there is only one action we can all take.

The only viable and timely solution at this critical point is to vote – yes, vote correctly and smartly to retake the U.S. House and Senate on November 8th and to prepare the way to retake the White House in two years. Vote and help everyone you know to vote. Please click the TAKE ACTION link below – we must vote correctly and in great numbers to be sure our votes are counted to diminish the potential for the left to rig and steal the midterms and the 2024 elections as they are clearly intending to do after their success in 2020.
