Jeffrey A. Tucker is Founder and  President of the Brownstone Institute: The great debate between democracy and dictatorship, between freedom and despotism, between a government by the people and a government imposed upon the people is here at last. I’m glad for the clarification of terms. They are saying the quiet part out loud: they want dictatorship. All partisans of freedom should similarly stand up and say the loud part even louder: we tried life without freedom and found it intolerable. We are never going back.

President Biden:  “We’re not going to be in a recession”

Llewellyn H. Rockwell, Jr.: As history has shown us, it is always the elites that end up in the position of deciding the fates of millions or billions. From the Rockefeller Foundation sterilization programs in the US in the early 1900’s to the UN today, the globalists, a veritable death cult, are desperate to conjure a rationalization as to why they should be the ones to allow or deny human life based on lies like man-made climate change.  They don’t believe in the climate change threat, THEY were the people that fabricated it.  So, what is the core reason behind all of this? A reduced population completely dependent on limited energy sources might be easier to dominate.  But I have another theory – they are psychopaths looking for a socially justifiable way to kill as many people as possible. Why? because they enjoy it.”

Sundance contributor to The Last Refuge: Joe Biden, NATO, the G7, the European Union, the World Bank, USAID, and every western leader in the United States and Europe has stated there will be food shortages. They are not saying there might be shortages; their statements are emphatic, there will be shortages. Accept this basic cornerstone.  Then ask why not a single proactive step has been taken by any of the aforementioned institutions or governments to alleviate what they declare is a certainty.  Why? Simple question, “why?”

Paul Farrell reporter for DailMail.com: In a Meet The Press interview that will air on Sunday, Gore told Chuck Todd: ‘You know the climate deniers are really in some ways similar to all of those almost 400 law enforcement officers in Uvalde, Texas, who were waiting outside an unlocked door while the children were being massacred. Gore – worth an estimated $300 million thanks to his green investment fund Generation Investment Management – added: ‘They heard the screams, they heard the gunshots and nobody stepped forward.’

David Kupelian contributor to World Net Daily: In truth, to the radical left, Christians are not merely racists, misogynists, homophobes and transphobes, but Nazis, fascists, violent extremists and terrorists. But this perfect inversion of reality is because – bottom line – the left has always been in a state of war with Almighty God and His laws and His ways. In other words, at war with Reality. They are in perpetual rebellion against the Creator of the Universe because Marxism, by its very nature, amounts to hatred and rejection of God so that human “saviors” (who are generally sociopaths) can create their make-believe paradise on earth – with them in charge, of course. That, in turn, always ends up as hell on earth, with the 20th century being the bloodiest century in all of human history, thanks to the very types of God-rejecting, power-addicted Marxist utopians who are currently obsessed with ruling America.

Margot Cleveland contributor to The Federalist: No amount of political posturing can overcome the reality seen in the black lines Whitmer used to cross out care for women and their children. And hide as they might behind activist judges, that budget tells the world Whitmer and her fellow Democrats don’t value women, or choice, or health care. They value abortion.

John Horvat contributor to The Imaginative Conservative: A greeting is an act of humility and a gesture of justice, in which we give respect and honor due to others for who they are. Indeed, greetings constitute the fragrant perfume of a Christian civilization in which these things are valued.

Anonymous post by a self-confessed Leftist school teacher in a blue city in a blue state: Like I said before, I’m a leftist myself; I have a real and abiding commitment to racial justice in education,. Do I like having to make the same points as pundits who want me kicked out of the classroom too? Of course not. But it’s precisely because I think racism and poverty are so rampant in this nation, and our obligation to respond so overwhelming, that I can’t keep pretending these ridiculous DEI schemes aren’t hurting the children we owe so much to. They are. It’s happening, right now.

Sundance contributor to The Last Refuge: The professionally republican party members, led by Ronna McDaniel Inc, are not happy with the grassroots MAGA voters who are not filling their party campaign coffers at the anticipated rate. If the donors of the grassroot MAGA base continue to withhold financial contributions, mostly due to a lack of club alignment with the priorities of the voting base and the right wing of the DC UniParty refusing to act for our interests, the professional republican club business may suffer.  The tenured board members of the club are not happy. Not happy at all.

Sundance: Donald Trump and Elon Musk Have Something in Common

Donald Trump and Elon Musk have something in common…. “It must be remembered that there is nothing more difficult to plan, more doubtful of success, nor more dangerous to manage than a new system. For the initiator has the enmity of all who would profit by the preservation of the old institution and merely lukewarm defenders in those who gain by the new ones.” ~Machiavelli  For Elon Musk it is the organization of Twitter with 7,500 employees dedicated to ensuring he would never succeed in his takeover effort.  From the board of directors to the data engineers who build the controlling algorithms, to the third-party service providers who manage the data demand, there are likely only a handful of people within the entire corporation who would welcome the type of change Elon Musk represents. As a result of the scale of opposition, . . .[…]  We The People attempted the Musk route when we sent President Donald Trump into Washington DC.  However, instead of one institution with 7,500 people, it was dozens of institutions housing hundreds of thousands of entrenched ideologues.  Most MAGA voters did not realize it at the time because grade school civics was never updated with our post-9/11 political outcome.

[…]  The threat that Trump represented needed to be managed, attacked and ultimately removed.  There were/are trillions at stake, and keep in mind, DC is the epicenter of the global financial universe.  As a result, the financial foot-soldiers of almost every western nation were aligned to assist the DC system in removing the threat.

Sundance: The Great MAGA King Donald J Trump Dominates TPUSA Poll For 2024 With 79%, DeSantis 19%,

Joe Biden officially declared that Donald J Trump is “the Great MAGA King,” during a speech last month. Well, according to the latest polling results from the Turning Point USA, Student Action Summit, a new generation would agree with Biden.  Donald Trump wins the 2024 straw poll with 79% support. The next closest candidate was Florida Governor Ron DeSantis with 19%, and all other candidates are asterisks.

Peeters: No Farmers, No Food, No Life

The world is now facing a man-made food catastrophe. It is reaching crisis levels. Current policies in many parts of the world place a priority on climate change for realizing a green new deal. Meanwhile, such policies will contribute to children dying from severe malnutrition due to broken food systems, with shortages of food and water, stress, anxiety, fear, and dangerous chemical exposure. More negative pressure on farmers and the food system is asking for a catastrophe. The immune system of many people, especially children, has lost its resilience and has weakened too far with high risks for intoxication, infections, non-communicable and infectious diseases, deaths and infertility. Dutch farmers, of whom many will face a cost of living crisis after 2030, have drawn the line. They are supported by an increasing number of farmers and citizens worldwide. It’s not the farmers who are the most heavy polluters of the environment, but industries who make the products needed for a technocracy revolution to green energy, data mining, and Artificial Intelligence. As more of the WEF plans are rolled out by politicians, inequalities grow, and conflicts are rising all over the world.

McLeod: Deadly Duo Justin Trudeau, Klaus Schwab Kings of the Coming Worldwide Hunger Game

Freedom Convoy leader Tamara Lich still languishes in jail awaiting trial after the Canada-wide warrant for her arrest. The questionable outcome of the 2020 presidential election in the USA dominates Election Cheating News with all but nil coverage of election cheating in Canada. Trudeau’s Liberal government joining up for a coalition government courtesy of the NDP is nothing less than cheating since Canadian citizens had zero voice in the matter. This is what Schwab and Trudeau did post-election in Canada and got away with minus mainstream media reportage. They froze the bank accounts of truckers and their supporters, stole all public donations set up by Go Fund Me and Give, Send, Go; revoked insurance, fleet insurance and licences, forever crippling the independent Canadian Trucking Industry. Tyrannically, this is what this deadly duo plan for all Canadians, including those who voted Liberal: “As previously reported by The Counter Signal, in December 2020, the Trudeau government unveiled their new climate plan, with a focus on reducing nitrous oxide emissions from fertilizer by 30% below 2020 levels by 2030. That plan is now coming into effect — though the government refuses to acknowledge that nitrous oxide emissions can be reduced without reducing fertilizer use. (The Counter Signal, July 23, 2022)

War Room: Joe Allen: Robots Are Now Attacking Children

Joe Allen talks about two big stories in the news about Big Tech. First, the firing of Google whistleblower Blake Lemoine, the man who warned that he believes a Googler AI has become sentient. Second, the incident this weekend in Russia where a chess-playing robot broke the finger of a child who was his opponent. O Brave New World that has such machines in it!

Ludwig: Dark Money Groups Are Funding The Left’s Court-Packing Agenda

It’s telling that House Democrats unveiled their latest effort to pack the Supreme Court at an event hosted by “dark money.” Hidden donors pushing an unpopular, radical agenda from the shadows is the left’s modus operandi. Meet Take Back the Court, the “dark money” group that claims credit for “mov[ing] the window on court expansion” from the fringe to the Democratic Party’s mainstream—proof that the activist tail is wagging the Democratic dog. We’re told by these far-left activists that the Supreme Court’s “extremist majority” is too politicized because it was “stolen” by right-wing boogeymen, who’ve captured the entire appointment and confirmation process with “dark money.” So Take Back the Court plans to put the fix in by adding four new seats for card-carrying “progressives,” scheme enthusiasts believe couldn’t possibly backfire in the future.

(History 101) Shapiro: “Out of Whack,” Indeed

Packing the Supreme Court has a long and dubious pedigree.  Last week, eight House Democrats held a press conference on the Capitol steps to call for adding four Supreme Court justices. The goal, of course, is to allow President Biden to overturn the Court’s nascent 6–3 conservative majority. This renewed push for “court-packing”—which can be defined neutrally as expanding the Court for political reasons—comes after a term that produced ruling after ruling that angered progressive politicians and activists. “Weeks after schoolchildren were massacred in Texas, they took away protections against gun violence,” said Sara Lipton, executive director of Take Back the Court Action Fund during Monday’s press conference. “During the hottest summer on record, they made it harder for the EPA to combat climate change. And in a year where state houses across the country pushed hateful anti-trans legislation, the court eviscerated the boundary between church and state, opening the door to discrimination and violence.” […]  Perhaps Biden recognizes that moves to enlarge the Court have a mixed record, to say the least. Even setting aside Franklin Delano Roosevelt’s disastrous Judicial Procedures Reform Bill, court-packing has a dubious pedigree. Though the Constitution doesn’t specify the number of justices, each historical expansion was accompanied by political mischief. The Judiciary Act of 1789 set out six justices, but the Judiciary Act of 1801 . . .

Jacobson: Big Court Win For Parents’ Right To Attend And Speak Out At School Board Meetings

McBreairty has built a one-man media empire, with videos and social media accounts advancing his cause and that of other first amendment issues, for which he is running a fundraiser. He has been sued by the Hermon School District for alleged bullying of a teacher, something he denies and as to which he has filed an anti-SLAPP countersuit. Another District, RSU 22, barred McBreairty from school board meetings and school grounds. McBreairty hired well-known First Amendment lawyer Marc Randazza, and just obtained a Temporarary Restrining Order halting his ban. From the Order: . . . […]  The decision gives much of the background, including the details of several school board meetings at which McBreairty challenged school policies. leading the school board to issue a warning letter to McBreairty. At later meetings, he continued to challenge Board members. In none of these school board meetings was McBreairty alleged to have commited any threat or any conduct requiring law enforcement intervention, until the Board barred him and police prevented him from entering a School Board meeting: . . . […]  The Court sided with McBreairty: . . . […]  This is a big win for parents. School Boards don’t like criticism, and have allies in the powerful teach https://legalinsurrection.com/2022/07/big-court-win-for-parents-right-to-attend-and-speak-out-at-school-board-meetings/ ers unions, the National Association of School Boards, and the federal DOJ. None of that power can stop a judge from upholding parents’ and citizens’ rights. More lawsuits need to be filed where School Boards violate parents’ rights.

Kelly:  Media and Select Committee Continue to Lie About Sicknick

Sandra Garza is something of a fixture at January 6 Select Committee hearings. Routinely described as the “life partner” of the late Brian Sicknick—even though she admitted the couple had taken a “break” from their 11-year relationship several months before the Capitol protest—Garza nonetheless acts the grieving widow of Sicknick, the Capitol Police officer who died on January 7, 2021 after suffering two strokes caused by a blood clot. She has given numerous interviews since Sicknick’s tragic and untimely death at the age of 42, blaming Donald Trump and Republicans for her ex-boyfriend’s fatal strokes. Garza traveled to Capitol Hill in May 2021 to demand the creation of the special committee to investigate the events of January 6; her public suffering recently caught the attention of Prince William, who sent Garza a letter expressing his condolences. “I was very honored and humbled and in awe that Prince William from England decided to take time out of his busy schedule to write me a letter to honor Brian’s memory and to acknowledge my pain,” Garza told CNN’s Jake Tapper last month. No doubt Garza remains heartbroken by the sudden and shocking loss of a beloved friend. But that does not mean her falsehoods or egregious politicization of Sicknick’s passing can go unchecked.

Widburg: Tucker Carlson targets up a serious, dangerous crisis in American science

Last week, University College London released a massive study showing that the antidepressants that the majority of adult Americans are guzzling like candy do not treat a chemical imbalance in the brain because depression isn’t caused by a chemical imbalance in the brain. This is just the latest in a series of body blows American science has taken in the past few years—and Tucker Carlson lobs some nuclear missiles, in the form of facts, targeting the way in which the pharmaceutical industry and government money have corrupted science, placing Americans at tremendous risk. Tucker only had 19 minutes, so one of the things he didn’t address, but which should be examined up front is the fact that, in 2015, a serious problem that had been bubbling through the science establishment finally broke into the open for ordinary citizens: The replication crisis: . . .[…]  This crisis, of course, attacks science at its very root:

Malone: Delete the K in Monkeypox

In a move that is sure to trigger widespread discussion concerning the independence, objectivity and wisdom of granting authority to the WHO to manage global infectious diseases responses, the monkeypox outbreak has been declared a Public Health Emergency of International Concern (PHEIC) by the World Health Organization. The declaration was made unilaterally, in direct contradiction of independent review panel advice, by WHO director Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus. Tedros made the declaration despite a lack of consensus among members of the WHO’s emergency committee on the monkeypox outbreak, and in so doing overruled his own review panel, who had voted 9 against, 6 for declaring the PHEIC. […]  When the group met in June, the breakdown was 11 against and three for. It is not clear what has changed in the intervening four weeks to justify the change in Tedros’ position, although comments from internet pundits raise concerns that the unilateral action was taken in response to pressure from special interest advocacy groups. […]  Dr. Jimmy Whitworth, a professor of international public health at the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine: “It is a tricky decision for the committee, in some senses, it meets the definition — it is an unprecedented outbreak widespread in many countries and would benefit from increased international coordination. On the other hand, it seems to be an infection for which we have the necessary tools for control; most cases are mild and the mortality rate is extremely low”

[…]  Please see previous coverage of this issue, which clearly demonstrate the concerted effort to weaponize fear by a variety of stakeholders including corporate media and Bill and Melinda Gates affiliated organizations.

McTaggert: British professor who is member of the Communist party appointed as chair of WHO advisory group

Professor Susan Michie, Director of the Centre for Behaviour Change at University College London, will chair the WHO’s Technical Advisory Group (TAG) on Behavioural Insights and Sciences for Health. The UCL academic, who is a frequent contributor on the BBC and ITV, has been a member of the Communist Party of Britain for more than 40 years. She made headlines last year after she advocated for stringent Covid-19 restrictions on life in the UK and “maximum suppression” of the virus around the world, including saying that face masks and social distancing measures should continue “forever”. […]  “The group provides expert advice for the development of a road map for WHO to define a mechanism to systematically include behavioural evidence in its work and in national health policies and programme planning,” the online description adds. The experts will make recommendations to the organisation on a regional and international level.

Nolte: Unlike COVID, There’s No Behavior-Shaming to Halt Monkeypox Spread

In a total reversal of their coronavirus approach, the U.S. government and corporate media are not engaging in any kind of behavior-shaming to halt the spread of monkeypox. Gee, I wonder why? During the China Flu pandemic, we were shamed for leaving our homes, going to the beach, opening schools, gathering to worship God, standing together, hugging, attending funerals, visiting nursing homes, allowing a mask to slip under our nose, and showing up at a political rally that didn’t involve burning and looting (because health officials assured us burning and looting do not spread the virus). […]  But there’s no behavior-shaming… Even though, according to what we now know… Gay sex is the chief spreader of monkeypox. Don’t believe me? Maybe you’ll believe what’s been published in the far-left Washington Post: . . .

Solomon: Dr. Harvey Risch warns COVID vaccines are interfering with the body’s ability to fight current version of virus

Dr. Harvey Risch, a professor emeritus at the Yale Public School of Health, discusses recent data showing that  the COVID-19 vaccine is contributing to causing new infections, as with each additional booster shot, the vaccine becomes less effective and interferres with the bodies natural ability to fight off the mutated virus strain.

(H/T AA) Rockwell: The Covid Vaccine Plot

The Covid vaccine kills people. This is hardly a secret, and the question naturally arises, why are people pushing the vaccine on us? Why are they pushing this deadly drug on small children? Answering this question takes us to the root of the dark forces controlling the world. It’s clear that those who push the vaccine know about its lethal effects. As the great Dr. Naomi Wolf points out, “I’ve been silent for some weeks. Forgive me. The truth is: I’ve been rendered almost speechless — or the literary equivalent of that — because recently I’ve had the unenviable task of trying to announce to the world that indeed, a genocide — or what I’ve called, clumsily but urgently, a ‘baby die-off’ — is underway. The WarRoom/DailyClout Pfizer Documents Research Volunteers, a group of 3000 highly credentialled doctors, RNs, biostatisticians, medical fraud investigators, lab clinicians and research scientists, have been turning out report after report, as you may know, to tell the world what is in the 55,000 internal Pfizer documents which the FDA had asked a court to keep under wraps for 75 years. By court order, these documents were forcibly disclosed. And our experts are serving humanity by reading through these documents and explaining them in lay terms. The lies revealed are stunning. The WarRoom/DailyClout Volunteers have confirmed: that Pfizer (and thus the FDA) knew by December 2020 that the MRNA vaccines did not work — that they ‘waned in efficacy’ and presented ‘vaccine failure.’ One side effect of getting vaccinated, as they knew by one month after the mass 2020 rollout, was ‘COVID.’

Toameh: Arabs: ‘US President Decided to Tamper with [Middle East] Security for No Reason…’

Arabs point out that one of Biden’s biggest mistakes was that he took America’s Arab allies for granted while embarking on a policy of appeasement towards Iran’s mullahs. “The behavior of the Obama and Biden administrations regarding Iran and Afghanistan served as a wake-up call for the countries of the region.” — Ali Hamadeh, Lebanese Journalist, Annahar, July 20, 2022. “Egypt, Bahrain, Yemen and Libya were stable countries until the US president decided to tamper with their security for no reason other than his fascination with the discourse of the left and the extremist [Muslim] Brotherhood….” — Saudi political analyst Mohammed Al-Saed, Okaz, July 18, 2022.

Buchanan: China: Pelosi Trip to Taiwan a Provocation

When Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi added to the itinerary of a valedictory trip through Asia the island of Taiwan, she could not have been oblivious to the reaction she would produce in a stunned Beijing. Thus, when the Financial Times revealed that the speaker would be visiting Taiwan, which China regards as a breakaway province, an enraged Beijing took the Pelosi visit to be a deliberate U.S. provocation. Beijing’s reaction appears authentic and understandable. “If the U.S. insists on going its own way, China will take firm and forceful measures to firmly safeguard national sovereignty and territorial integrity,” a Chinese spokesman told reporters in Beijing. “The U.S. must bear all the consequence of the visit.”

Sundance: Tucker Carlson Outlines the Ukrainian Blacklist of American Critics, Including Rand Paul, Glenn Greenwald, Tulsi Gabbard and Col Douglas McGregor

The non-democratic, socialist and totalitarian Ukraine government of President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has created a blacklist of western voices that are considered “Russian propagandists” for their criticism of the Ukraine-Russia conflict. [Details Here] The overwhelming commonality of the people on the list is their advocacy for citizens of nations who are providing support for Ukraine to have a democratic voice on the issue. The Zelenskyy government has stated it will not permit any criticism of their country and demands that all western nations continue to send billions of dollars to provide an appropriate lifestyle for all Ukrainian government officials.

Simonson: Schumer Strips Anti-China Security Provision From Major Semiconductor Bill

At issue are provisions written by Sen. Rob Portman (R., Ohio) that bar U.S. companies from manufacturing products in China, such as semiconductors, that were developed using federally funded research. Myriad government and private investigations conclude that the Chinese government routinely steals trade secrets from U.S. companies, government agencies, and universities. Schumer earlier this month removed Portman’s provisions from the Creating Helpful Incentives to Produce Semiconductors (CHIPS) for America Act, throwing a wrench into the vote for Republicans who were under the impression it would be included and planned to vote for the bill, according to multiple interviews and internal documents viewed by the Washington Free Beacon. Harsanyi: Recession? No Problem. Just Pretend It Doesn’t Exist

They think you’re stupid. In 2009, mired in the slowest recovery in American history, the Obama administration decided to dispense with antiquated economic metrics and cook up a new, non-falsifiable number that would better accommodate the president. And so, we were introduced to jobs, “saved and created.” Every month, an administration economist, under the veneer of expertise, would trot out this fake statistic — one that had never been used by the Labor Department or Treasury Department or the Bureau of Labor Statistics or anyone else. And every month, the political media would dutifully report on it without much skepticism. Obama claimed his recovery plan would “save or create three to four million jobs over the next two years.” But once the “saved” part of “created and saved” was removed, we found out the economy had lost 2 million jobs, with unemployment reaching 9.4 percent. All of it was transparently stupid, yet it was flat-out genius compared to the messaging of the Biden administration. Get ready for a very dumb debate over the word “recession.” It’s true, there’s no scientific definition for a recession because economics isn’t an exact science. Yet for decades, the media, government, economic textbooks, and dictionaries have all, more or less, defined a recession as two consecutive quarters of negative growth. But now, with the prospects of this week’s GDP report being in the red — the Atlanta Fed estimates GDP will contract 1.6 percent — the administration and media are engaged in a pedantic discussion over the real meaning of a recession.

Keating: Economist Dismantles Biden Admin’s Attempt To Redefine Recession With One Chart

The White House has been challenging a commonly-used definition of “recession” in advance of economic data coming out Thursday, but one economist took the air out of the administration’s argument with a single graph. […]  Michael Strain, resident scholar and director of economic policy studies at the American Enterprise Institute (AEI) took to Twitter to point out that each of the past ten times the economy has experienced two consecutive quarters of negative growth, a recession has, in fact, ultimately been declared. […]  Echoing Strain’s point, E.J. Antoni, research fellow for regional economics at The Heritage Foundation, told the Daily Caller News Foundation that this pattern of reliability for the indicator in fact goes back as far as the end of World War Two. “I dug into the data and this goes back a long, long time. Every time there have been two quarters of contraction in the post-war period there’s been a recession,” Antoni told the DCNF.

Curl: Inflation Hammering Rural America, 91% Of Income Used Just To Live, Study Finds

“Rural households are more vulnerable to inflation,” a report from Iowa State University shows. “In 2020, rural household post-tax incomes stood at $58,012. About 82% of rural incomes went towards expenses, leaving $10,661 in discretionary income for savings and unanticipated expenses.” “However, by 2022 expenses rose by 18.5% overall. Earnings were not able to keep pace with inflation, rising by only 6.1%. The net effect cut rural discretionary incomes by -49.1% between June 2020 and June 2022, reducing the cushion to only $5,426. Expenses now consume 91% of rural take-home pay,” the report said. Rural Americans saw more of a hike in prices than people living in cities did.

Tucker: Dictatorship Chic

In the trajectory laid out by F.A. Hayek in his 1944 book, The Road to Serfdom, dictatorship is the end game of a period of immense government failure. The ruling class begins by tinkering with the normal function of markets and society with some high goal in mind (think: virus eradication) and the results are the opposite of what is intended. The crisis gets worse but the public becomes more incredulous. At this point, there is a choice to make: continue with the supposed inefficiencies of democracy or move to full-on dictatorship. It’s not hard to know where Hayek got the idea. After the onset of the Great Depression, the notion of democracy fell into widespread disrepute in elite circles. Reading high-end material from the period you gain a quick realization that everyone agreed that freedom and democracy really have seen their day. They are ill-suited to the planning needs of the day, which require power from the top and expertise throughout the administrative bureaucracy. The word fascism was not always unpopular. In 1933-ish, books on the planned society included adoring chapters on the subject. The most fashionable dictator at the time was Benito Mussolini, who was celebrated in the most respected news sources including the New York Times. The liberals of the time were aghast at the trends but greatly outnumbered. The intellectuals knew exactly what they needed to get through the crisis. They wanted a dictator. Ah but we’ve come such a long way since then, right? Not so much. A few minutes ago . . .

Goodman: Biden’s Cybersecurity Czar Says ‘Systemic Racism’ Is Major Threat to US Security

Camille Stewart, a former Google strategist whom Biden reportedly tapped for White House deputy national cyber director, has argued that “our #NatSec apparatus must be a part of dismantling systemic racism,” and “pursuing anti-racist and anti-hate policy outcomes” should be a chief national security focus for the administration. Biden’s new hire is likely to stoke concerns from Republican legislators that his administration has been more focused on pushing a race-focused ideological agenda than on traditional national defense issues—such as the increasing risk of cyberattacks from Russia, Iran, and China. The Department of Justice said in June it is bracing for more cyberwarfare from adversarial countries. Last month, the FBI revealed it intercepted an Iranian-backed cyberattack against Boston Children’s Hospital, and Russian hackers targeted an American satellite company in Ukraine earlier this year.

Stewart, who served as policy adviser for the Obama administration’s Department of Homeland Security, has criticized the United States as an intrinsically racist society in her writing and on social media.

Sundance: Pretending Has Consequences – Western Media and Western Govt Continue Saying, Falsely, Global Food Crisis Caused by Russia

As oft repeated, in order for severe ideologues to retain their insufferably bad policy they must pretend not to know things.  However, in the case of food shortages, the pretending about the origin of the problem has severe consequences. Vladimir Putin’s military action against eastern Ukraine had nothing to do with the severe food shortages and inflation in Sri Lanka {link}.  Nor does Putin have any influence over the Dutch government trying to stop food production {link}.  Additionally, Putin has no control over Justin Trudeau’s decision to limit harvest yields by blocking the use of nitrogen-based fertilizer {link}. More importantly, it was not Vladimir Putin who forced all the western politicians to sign up for a new ‘climate friendly’ energy program that is destroying the ability of western farms to generate higher yield crops. […]  They are not saying there might be shortages; their statements are emphatic, there will be shortages. Accept this basic cornerstone.  Then ask why not a single proactive step has been taken by any of the aforementioned institutions or governments to alleviate what they declare is a certainty.  Why? Simple question, “why?”

Harsanyi: No One is Coming For Contraception, But They’re Definitely Coming For Conscience Rights

Why would any Republican vote for that cynical, dishonest, anti-constitutional ‘contraception’ bill? The Right to Contraception Act, a bill that passed in the House yesterday, allows reporters and Democrats to manufacture panic by claiming Republicans voted against a bill that “protects access to contraception,” even though the actual legislation was crammed with enough poison pills to kill the First Amendment. It’s mind-boggling that any Republican would lend their support to this travesty. Yet eight House Republicans did. One, South Carolina’s Nancy Mace wore a jacket to the vote that featured the words, “My state is banning exceptions. Protect contraception.” […]  No one is coming to take your contraception. But someone is definitely coming for conscience rights. And they’re doing it with the help of eight Republicans.

Unruh: Huge number of Democrats say U.S. Constitution is irrelevant

. . .a new poll has confirmed what already was evident, that a significant number of Democrats – almost one in four – say the U.S. Constitution is not a relevant document today. Vespa: Whistleblowers: FBI/DOJ Deep State Working Overtime to Protect Hunter Biden

. . . the FBI is running amok again with Hunter Biden stories. Whistleblowers have been coming out of the woodwork to Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-IA), alleging that there is a coordinated effort at the FBI and DOJ to suppress negative stories about the president’s son. Protecting the crackhead son at all costs is the overall objective here. According to Herridge, rivers of damning information about Hunter were probably characterized as disinformation before any actual review took place. It’s classic interference (via CBS News): “Highly credible” whistleblowers have come forward to a senior Senate Republican alleging a widespread effort within the FBI to downplay or discredit negative information about President Joe Biden’s son, Hunter Biden, according to letters reviewed by CBS News. “The information provided to my office involves . . .  […]  We won’t be able to look into this until the Republicans retake the Senate. Burfeind: Wokeism Is Collapsing On Itself

if there’s a light at the end of the dark tunnel our nation is in right now, it’s because of Horace’s ancient dictum, “You can chase out nature with a pitchfork, but she will keep running back.” Arguably, wokeism is defined by its gnostic rejection of nature on gender, sexuality, the laws of economics, energy, race, speech, and rationality itself. Yet, nature has the final say, and we’re seeing it in the slow retreat of leftists from wokeism. Nary a day goes by on which a new Substack writer confesses some variation of, “I’m not a right-winger; I’m a proud progressive, but these new leftists are crazy, and I’m done with the Democrats.” They’ve reached a terminus in their minds where they can no longer bear the cognitive dissonance created by the suspension of reality. They’re done drinking the Kool-Aid. Consider the left’s cognitive dissonance on race. They have a Liar’s Paradox problem. The Liar’s Paradox goes, “A Cretan says all Cretans are liars. Is he to be believed?”  Today, the paradox goes, . . .

Schmad: Democrat Insurrection: Liberal Hill Staffers Arrested for Storming Dem Leadership Office

A group of liberal Capitol Hill staffers were arrested in the office of Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D., N.Y.) after demanding Democratic leadership resume talks on climate legislation. More than a dozen employees of Democratic members of Congress sat down in Schumer’s office holding signs calling on the majority leader to renew efforts to combat climate change. The protest ended after about half an hour when Capitol Police bound the disgruntled staffers’ hands with zip ties and escorted them out. One of the protesters, Saul Levin, a staffer for “Squad” member Rep. Cori Bush (D., Mo.), tweeted photos of the demonstration from within Schumer’s office. “We, staffers of the US Congress, are peacefully sitting in on Senator Schumer’s office to demand Dems pass climate justice policy this year,” Levin tweeted. “We are putting our bodies on the line because we have no other choice.”

Zeldin, who is running for governor in New York, was giving a speech when he was approached by a man wielding what’s been described as a “self-defense keychain weapon,” which was a brass knuckle-like object with two pointed edges. The attacker was quickly subdued, and Zeldin was unharmed.

I & I Editorial Board: Climate Emergency? What A Crock

Joe Biden did not declare a climate emergency last week, as many in his party urged him to do. One Democratic senator claimed that the changing climate required “bold, intense executive action” from the president. Another said Biden needed to move because “the climate crisis is a threat to national security.” But there’s no emergency. It’s a wholly manufactured charade. […]  Most Americans who aren’t named Barack Obama like to think that the U.S. is the center of our world if not the universe. But just because much of the country has been hot, it doesn’t mean the entire Earth is on fire. Yet our politicians and media focus on unusual heat despite the obvious: If the global temperature “is just about average” – and it is – “then clearly it must be well below average somewhere else.” The facts, not the Democrats and activists’ political desperation, show that global temperatures have gone nowhere over the past four decades, which is the only period of time they can be accurately measured and compared. Anyone who believes that the temperature record before 1979 is reliable is fooling themselves (and also a blind ideologue). The only data that can be trusted, that makes a genuine apples-to-apples comparison, are the measurements from satellites. All other temperature reconstructions require faith in subjective readings of often poorly placed primitive instruments, and compromised tree ring signals. ‘ So, then what do the satellite data tell us?

Milloy: The Climate Agenda Is What’s Melting

The president apparently hopes to take advantage of the ongoing record-setting European heat wave and string of wildfires, and an ongoing heat wave in the U.S. Midwest. While it certainly is very hot in Europe and the Midwest, it is relatively cool elsewhere. The unfortunate reality for Biden’s planned exploitation is that today’s average global temperature per the University of Maine is a mere 0.2C warmer than the average from 1979-2000. It’s called “global warming,” and yet there’s really not much of that occurring. We also know that heat waves are not associated with carbon dioxide emissions. The frequency and intensity of heat waves has dramatically declined in the U.S. over the past 100 years despite ever-rising emissions, per the National Climate Assessment conducted by the Obama-Biden administration.

Wood: Regime Change: Repelling the DEI Assault on Higher Education

Words Matter America’s racial critics often disarm their opponents by using a vocabulary whose unassuming or technical demeanor hides radical meanings. Because many of these words and phrases are ambiguous, I will start by setting out these terms as I shall use them. Anti-racism is a word contrived by Boston University professor Ibram X. Kendi. It looks as if it means ‘opposed to racism,’ but Kendi and his followers use it to mean racial favoritism toward blacks, deliberate discrimination against whites aimed at compensating for “systemic” racial injustice, and the suppression of all speech and action opposed to their preferred policies. Systemic racism refers to . . . […]  National Peril  The rise of the anti-racist, DEI, CRT agenda in American education had been decried by many on the grounds that it poses a peril to the nation. The specific perils named by critics vary. This essay accepts the general argument that DEI and its cousins injure our country, but I do not attempt to draw careful distinctions among the injuries and say which is most immediate, which is most dangerous in the long term, or which the critics may have exaggerated. All the criticisms have enough weight to bear consideration. Still, it may be useful to lay out the chief concerns of critics of DEI, etc. These are: . . . […]  The Problem with Our Schools  Some elected leaders have begun to heed rising parental complaints and to draft legislation aimed at curbing the abuse of classroom and school authority by those who would instill in students a false picture of the American past and present. The eagerness of elected leaders to correct such abuses is commendable, but the problem is proving difficult to remedy. That’s because: . . . […] The National Association of Scholars (NAS)  Since our founding in 1987, NAS has opposed the use of racial preferences in higher education. The men and women who came together to create NAS sought to mount an organized opposition to the rising tide of anti-intellectual authoritarianism in American colleges and universities. They adopted as the new organization’s motto, “For Reasoned Scholarship in a Free Society.” Diversity was at that point only one of many assault ladders raised against the fortress of reason, but it soon proved among the most successful. In 2003 I published Diversity: The Invention of a Concept, which examined how “diversity” had climbed from a relatively inconspicuous term in politics and biology to become the master concept of contemporary liberal or progressive thinking. […] Auditing the Academic Administrative State  What then do we advise?

Yang: Yes, Things Are Really As Bad As You’ve Heard -A Leftist Schoolteacher Struggles To Say Aloud the Things He Regularly Witnesses That Are So Outlandish They Sound Made Up By Right-Wing Provocateurs

I spoke with the anon poster below, a public school teacher in a Blue city in a Blue state, and examined correspondence from his colleagues and supervisors that left no doubt that his personal account is authentic.  […]  The summer program where I’m currently teaching enrolls about seventy students between the ages of six and twelve. Classes are technically open to any child in the district, but only a few parents actually sign their children up themselves; instead, the vast majority of kids are registered for the program by a teacher who was concerned with their academic performance the previous year. Parents can choose to accept or reject the enrollment, but the acceptance rate is something like 90% – it’s free, after all, and plenty of these parents are already looking for a safe place to send their children while they work during the day. This “enroll first, ask questions later” approach removes many of the obstacles that keep struggling students from engaging with other summer programs, many of which have complicated application processes and require children to meet certain academic standards. However, it also means many families aren’t particularly invested in the program itself and, as a consequence, both parent and student engagement is lower than it might otherwise be. Early on, an administrator confessed that this sort of setup could lead to “attendance issues,” which I took to mean some kids showing up late or even skipping class once in a while. Nine of the eleven students in my grade level were absent the first day. The next day, it was ten. By the end of the week, I had one student consistently attending and a few who had been officially withdrawn by their parents – but there were still eight children on my roster who were technically enrolled while having never once shown up. At this point, I took a look at the waitlist to see if there were any students I could bring in to replace them; the games and activities I’d planned needed more kids anyway, and I knew the waitlist was where families who actually wanted their children to attend usually ended up (students who were just referred by teachers had priority placement). On my lunch break, I walked into the administrator’s office and asked them when I could expect the half-dozen or so children on my grade’s waitlist to be let in.  Immediately, I was informed of something truly absurd:  . . .  […]  In my short career as an educator, I’ve had countless experiences like this – encounters with colleagues and administrators so surreal that even close friends chided me for exaggerating or “playing into right-wing tropes” when I repeat them. And there’s a sense in which I don’t blame them, because things really are that crazy out here. Let me rattle off two quick examples for now, in case the summer program wasn’t bizarre enough: . . .

Mittlestadt: CDC promotes teen chat platform to discuss LGBT topics, witchcraft without parental oversight

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) is promoting a private chat platform that enables teens to discuss — without parental oversight — a range of highly fraught issues, including LGBT challenges, occult topics, dealing with difficult relatives or even finding an alternative “family” through communities that are more accepting. Fox: ‘Gays Against Groomers’ Organizes to Join Parents in the Fight Against Sexual Grooming in Schools

I’ve been asking for what I call “normie gays” to organize and join parents in fighting off the cult-like grooming of our kids in their schools at the hands of insane teachers intent on grooming kids into the transgender cult that will medicalize them and destroy their bodies and minds. Maybe it was just in the air or maybe my call worked, but Jaimee Michell started a group called Gays Against Groomers and it took off on Twitter and Instagram in no time. Michell has already been attacked by leftist groomers who want to talk to little children about sex and things they aren’t ready to hear, like the dangerous and unscientific gender theology infecting every educational institution. But the attacks have made her group more popular. Many outspoken gay conservatives have jumped on board and are helping Michell get her message out there. “We are a coalition of gays against the sexualization and indoctrination of children,” says the site.

Perez: Forging Fewer Freakazoids

Freak culture in America was unknown until the late sixties, when youth rebellion was specifically expressed as complete rejection of the forms and norms of respectable society. The hippies turned away from their parents’ values of diligence, sexual continence, and cleanliness and embraced libertinism, immediate gratification, and filth. But this was a communal movement, based on collective repudiation of societal standards in favor of a new order organized under the legendary “freak flag.” Freakiness, in this sense, became a new conformism. The freaks of those days took over American culture. “Edge,” in the sense of being near the margins of society, maintains its cool factor, but today’s true edge-dwellers are no longer sexy or appealing. Indeed, the new outlaws of society bear less resemblance to the freaks of yesteryear and look more like the pathetic, school-shooting incels who now intrude into media consciousness like periodic zit inflammations. […]  One of the main causes of the rise of antisocial young men is the pathologizing of traditional masculinity. The normal young man who was a little antisocial and rough around the edges fifteen years ago had some room to maneuver and get out of what was often a self-imposed rut. The very same young man would be labeled “toxically masculine” today by a feminized society that does not have his best interests in mind. A young man is now stigmatized as “toxically masculine” if he is heterosexual, stoic, interested in maximizing his physical strength through weightlifting, and engages generally in primate dominance behavior. Calling someone “toxic” might breed toxicity; this dynamic is completely unacknowledged by our feminized school culture.

Horvat: When People Greeted Each Other With Courtesy & Purpose

We live in brutal times without transitions. Everything must be instant and rushed, leaving no time for reflection. Thus, relationships become mechanical and inhuman. We need time to ponder, even if just for a minute, to get our bearings. This is why we develop small social conventions to aid our judgment and temper the brutality of instant expectations. One example of these reflecting habits consists of greetings. Those small formulas that start conversations or written letters provide us with transitions so we might communicate more civilly and effectively. How we need greetings today, and how society is impoverished without them!

Cleveland: In Show Of Pro-Abortion Brutality, Gov. Gretchen Whitmer Just Slashed Care For Pregnant Women From Michigan’s Budget

Last week, Michigan’s Democrat Gov. Gretchen Whitmer vetoed funding for maternity homes, adoption tax credits, and other budget items that assist pregnant women. While post-Dobbs, Whitmer and her fellow Democrats seek to conceal the party’s pro-abortion agenda by pushing state courts to institute the extreme abortion regime they demand, in striking from the budget any spending that has a semblance of supporting the choice of life, Whitmer exposes her party’s abortion-first position.  […]  What Whitmer won’t tell the public, though, and what she and her fellow Democrats don’t want Michiganders to know, is that they want an abortion regime that permits abortion on demand for any reason until the moment of birth, paid for by taxpayers. And that is precisely what will be installed on the populace if the Michigan Supreme Court finds a right to abortion in the state constitution. Further, by using the Michigan Supreme Court to achieve this end, rather than the legislative process, Democrats can avoid the extremist label. But while Whitmer’s rhetoric and her use of the judicial system to achieve her ends may mask Democrats’ intent, her line-item vetoes in last week’s 2022-2023 budget make clear where the party stands on abortion, even if she prefers the courts provide the bottom line: It is not about choice or helping women; it is about abortion first.

Tierney: It’s Time to Award the Covid Nobels

The frontrunner for this year’s Nobel Peace Prize, according to the bets placed with British bookmakers, is the World Health Organization. It’s hard to imagine a worse choice. (Okay, Vladimir Putin.) The bettors’ theory is that the Nobel committee will honor the WHO for its efforts in fighting Covid-19—but it would be absurd to reward an organization that began the pandemic by spreading deadly misinformation, went on to promote disastrous policies, and now seeks new powers to do even more damage next time. The Nobel jurors in Norway should be honoring the pandemic’s true heroes, starting with an obvious candidate across their border: Anders Tegnell, the state epidemiologist of Sweden. While the WHO and the rest of the world panicked, he kept calm. While leaders elsewhere crippled their societies, he kept Sweden free and open. While public-health officials ignored their own pre-Covid plans for a pandemic—and the reams of reports warning that lockdowns, school closures, and masks would accomplish little or nothing—Tegnell actually stuck to the plan and heeded the scientific evidence. […]  With the possible exception of the Great Depression, the lockdowns were the costliest public-policy mistake ever made during peacetime in the United States. The worst consequences of lockdowns have been endured by people in the poorest countries, which have seen devastating increases in poverty, hunger, and disease. Yet the WHO has refused to acknowledge these errors and wants to change its pandemic planning to promote more lockdowns in the future. It has even proposed a new global treaty giving it the power to enforce its policies around the world—thereby preventing a country like Sweden from demonstrating that the policies don’t work.

WND Staff: WATCH: Fascinating Bible messages secretly embedded in classic kids’ tale

A popular Bible TV show is probing the notion that one of the most famous children’s stories of all time is actually an unmistakable metaphor for the main storyline for human beings in Holy Scripture. “Shabbat Night Live” recently investigated the classic tale “Hansel and Gretel,” as it featured Joe Kovacs, author of the new bestseller, “Reaching God Speed: Unlocking the Secret Broadcast Revealing the Mystery of Everything.” The book opens readers’ eyes and ears to the Spirit or parable level of the Bible, since the New Testament indicates Jesus Himself spoke exclusively in parables (Matthew 13:34). On the television program, Kovacs noted while all stories we tell somehow voice the messages of Scripture, “Hansel and Gretel” is especially easy to understand. “We’re all taught this story probably in kindergarten or even earlier about children who are lost in the wilderness,” Kovacs told host Scott Laird, who was filling in for Michael Rood. “They’re trying to find their way home, they come across a house in the wilderness filled with all kinds of treats on the outside.

Sempa: Codevilla’s last words on America’s Asia-Pacific policy

Encounter Books has just published (posthumously) Angelo Codevilla’s last book, America’s Rise and Fall Among Nations, which is a fierce and unvarnished criticism of U.S. foreign policy in the 20th and 21st centuries.  Codevilla, who worked for U.S. senator Malcolm Wallop in the 1980s, taught international relations at Boston University, Georgetown, and Princeton, and served as a fellow at the Hoover Institution, urges U.S. policymakers to return to the foreign policy realism and restraint of George Washington and John Quincy Adams. Washington and Adams promoted a foreign policy that sought good relations with all nations, except when those nations threatened U.S. interests.  Washington warned against perpetual alliances with any power but understood that temporary alliances for specific circumstances may be necessary.  Adams warned Americans against going abroad in search of monsters to destroy but also authored the Monroe Doctrine, which proclaimed America’s primary, if not exclusive, interests in the Western Hemisphere.  In general, both U.S. statesmen counseled restraint, prudence, and a focus on concrete national interests, and eschewed policies based on emotions or sentiment.  Codevilla, borrowing from former U.S. president Donald Trump, characterized the Washington-Adams approach as “America First.” Codevilla contends, for example, that NATO . . .

(H/T DM) Galvin USMC-Retired: How Mattis Betrayed His Fellow Marines At The Behest Of The Deep State

How the Pentagon’s top-brass generals burned the careers of subordinates but then pivoted to lucrative careers all while losing the wars they were supposed to be winning My new book, A Few Bad Men, details the mendacity and mad dishonesty of retired Marine General James “Mad Dog” Mattis. The fact that it was written by a Marine once under his command, whom he betrayed for the sake of politics and getting to slap on another star, says volumes about this once-lionized figure. It all goes back to an incident in Afghanistan in 2007, and the Court of Inquiry trial of innocent Marines that followed, which Mattis himself instigated. Lt. Colonel Steve Morgan, USMC (retired) and jury member of the 2008 Marine Special Operations Command’s Court of Inquiry says in the foreword to A Few Bad Men, “This is a case of a perfect storm of toxic leadership.”  The most legendary Marine of all time, Lieutenant General John A. Lejeune, the 13th commandant of the Marine Corps, laid out clearly how to effectively nurture and lead Marines: “Make every effort by means of historical, educational, and patriotic addresses to cultivate in their hearts a deep abiding love of the Corps and Country” and “the key to combat effectiveness is unity and esprit that characterizes itself in complete irrevocable mutual trust.”  If only General Mattis had taken this to heart.

Murray: Life in a Closeted Capital

REVIEW: ‘Secret City: The Hidden History of Gay Washington’ by James Kirchick

Gay history—”hidden history” as James Kirchick puts it—is exceptionally hard to write. The author of any book on the subject has to navigate between two particular difficulties. The first is the fact that there is relatively little reliable material to work with. Few people left honest records. Some left verifiably dishonest ones. At best the source material is piecemeal. Added to this is the fact that people in the past simply did not think about homosexuality as we do today. As Kirchick mentions in his passage on the downfall of Lyndon Johnson’s aide Walter Jenkins, most men who engaged in casual sex in the 1950s, for instance, “did not identify themselves as belonging to the ‘category’ of homosexual. Sex with other men was something they did; it had no bearing on who they were.” Someone could have too many martinis and a tough week at work, spread-eagle themselves on a public bathroom floor, and still think of themselves as a family man. Just one of the many problems with this is that people were—and are—simply not honest about the past. Partly as a result of this a whole lexicon of words sprang up, a sort of subcurrent in history books (as in obituary writing) to suggest that there might have been something queer—in the old-fashioned sense of the word—about a person. Without quite mentioning it there were endless ways to suggest that a person was a celibate or even (the horror) a practicing homosexual.

Dunn, M.D.: Dr. Peter McCullough: COVID 19 Early Treatment Hero

The Courage to Face Covid-19:  Preventing Hospitalization and Death While Battling the Bio-Pharmaceutical Complex, by John Leake and Peter A. McCullough MD MPH is tale of the 2- year- plus effort, accomplishments and travails of a remarkably prominent and successful physician.  Dr. McCullough  decided to push back on the establishment in the face of a global epidemic of a respiratory virus, COVID 19 (SARS COV 2) , risking everything in today’s cancel culture.  He pushed for sensible early treatment, when the establishment had another agenda—don’t treat or treat with worthless drugs until we get our “vaccine” (it’s not a vaccine at all) out.  The opportunity to make billions from scared populations, nations, politicians and create worldwide chaos and even reorder societies was at stake for them.  As the progressives say, never let a good crisis go to waste if there is an opportunity for a power grab and profits. I was impressed with the medical advocacy of Dr. Peter McCullough during 2020 as he became a leading voice in a worldwide effort by many medical experts to promote early ambulatory treatments with Hydroxychloroquine and Azithromycin, with special attention to anti-inflammatory and supplemental adjuvants and blood thinners to reduce the complications of clotting.  He was always on top of the literature and promoted the positions of the early COVID treaters around the world. Dr. McCullough rejected the nihilist approach protocol of Fauci: . . .
