NOTABLE QUOTES
Matt Vespa Senior Editor of TownHall: It’s almost as if Rep. Liz Cheney (R-WY) knows it’s over. The curtain call is drawing closer. The Wyoming Republican is projected to lose her primary next week, but she’s not going silently into the night. She’s lost her position in the Republican leadership and happily taken the role of GOP sellout in the media to give the veneer that the House investigations into Trump for January 6 are bipartisan. We’re all sick to death of her, and her latest move is genuinely an ‘as expected’ one coming from this congresswoman. She decided to side with the Department of Justice, whose gross overreach was exhibited with this ludicrous raid on Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago home Monday.
Rep. Liz Cheney (R-WY): “I have been ashamed to hear members of my party attacking the integrity of the FBI agents involved with the recent Mar-a-Lago search. These are sickening comments that put the lives of patriotic public servants at risk.”
Matthew Boose contributor to American Greatness: Nothing like this has ever happened before in the United States. It simply is not done. If we are to infer a motive for the raid from the effect that it is likely to have, we can suppose only that the Biden regime wants to radicalize the Right, that they are trying to make the bugbear of right-wing “domestic extremism” into a reality. If the past 20 years have taught us anything, it’s that the FBI is better at creating terrorists than catching them. Beneath all of the hysteria about the Capitol protest on January 6, 2021, the regime would like nothing more than to radicalize the Trump movement.
Jeff M. Lewis contributor to American Thinker: We must all take a close look at the abuse we have suffered at the hands of the leftist Democrat Party, and their never-ending litany of lies trying to cover their failures. What I want to know is, after 19 months of predictable results for their failed policies, when are Biden voters going to get angry?
JF Murphy contributor to American Greatness: In 1960 there were 3,539 citizens per IRS agent. The historical average since 1960 has been 3,069 citizens per IRS agent. Once the IRS stands fully large and in charge, the ratio will be 2,155 citizens per IRS agent.
The Daily Wire headline: Leftist Establishment Praises Biden For Gas Going Below $4, Forgets It Was $2.39 When He Took Office
David Wallace-Wells opinion writer at the NYT tweeted: “I don’t think many Americans appreciate just how tense and tenuous, how very touch and go the energy situation in Europe is right now. Or how much worse it could get this winter: rationing, shortages, energy markets closed.”

(H/T JC) Trump’s Virtues – Tom Klingenstein
Many leading Republicans and conservatives want someone other than Donald Trump to run for President in 2024. But this judgment requires an assessment of Trump’s vices and virtues in the context of our current political and cultural circumstances, as well as an assessment of other prospective Republican presidential candidates. Tom Klingenstein, Chairman of the Claremont Institute, explains Trump’s Virtues.

Bovard: FBI Trump raid exposes Washington’s secrecy shams
In reality, the Presidential Records Act is the Presidential Damn-Near-Perpetual-Secrecy Act. Former presidents pocket multimillion-dollar advances for their memoirs while their records are mostly quarantined for decades from the citizens they often misgoverned. The Nixon Library did not release the final batch of his secret tapes until 2013 — 39 years after Nixon was driven from office. The Lyndon B. Johnson Library delayed releasing the final batch of his secret tapes of presidential conversations until 2016 — 47 years after he left office. […] Obama White House lawyers repeatedly invoked the Presidential Records Act to “delay the release of thousands of pages of records from President Bill Clinton’s White House,” Politico reported. At the end of his presidency, Barack Obama trucked 30 million pages of his administration’s records to Chicago, promising to digitize them and eventually put them online — a move that outraged historians. More than five years after Obama’s presidency ended, the National Archives webpage reveals that zero pages have been digitized and disclosed. […] Similarly, President Joe Biden double-crossed Americans on disclosing records from his 36-year Senate career.

PRESIDENT BIDEN’S STASI
Heine: Virtually No One on the Right Believes WaPo Report That Claims FBI Agents Were Searching For Nuke Docs at Mar-a-Lago
The report comes as the Biden Department of Justice weathers massive political fallout due to the raid, which looked to many Americans like a weaponized DOJ going after Joe Biden’s primary political opponent. “The FBI and DOJ look corrupt and stupid after the presser so they immediately leak some unfalsifiable nonsense to The Washington Post, and people just lap it up,” said a RedState reporter on Twitter. “It’s like they’ve learned nothing over the last seven years.” Sources presumably from within the Department of Justice leaked to the Post that the agents were looking for classified information regarding nukes, among other materials. “The unusual search underscores deep concern among US officials about what information could fall into the wrong hands,” the Post reported.
Sundance: DOJ Files Motion to Unseal FBI Trump Raid Search Warrant and Property Seizure Receipt
Yesterday, President Trump requested from the court that the (1) DOJ affidavit underlying the probable cause as well as the (2) search warrant and (3) property seizure report be made public following the FBI raid on his home in West Palm Beach, Florida. Today, Attorney General Merrick Garland stated publicly the DOJ has filed a court motion to unseal the search warrant and the property seizure report; however, they would not release the probable cause affidavit. Here is the DOJ court filing [DOCUMENT LINK]
Hubbard: Attorney General Garland says he personally approved Trump search, will release warrant
Garland said he personally approved the search of Trump’s home and that the agency had probable cause. […] Garland defended the integrity of the FBI and DOJ amid allegations that agents could have planted evidence. FBI Director Christopher Wray declined to answer a question on Wednesday about allegations that agents were planting evidence in Trump’s home. Instead, he said he was concerned about threats facing law enforcement following the raid.
BIDEN’S VACCINE MANDATES
Brown: CDC Relaxes COVID Guidance and the Libs Are Not Happy
Most notably, the new CDC guidance treats vaccinated and unvaccinated Americans the same without disparate penalties for those who chose not to get vaccinated. It’s also somewhat of an acknowledgement of natural immunity from previous infection and the higher numbers of positive cases in fully vaccinated and boosted Americans. […] The CDC also eliminated its . . . […] In yet another contradiction to President Biden’s 2020 campaign promise that he would “shut down the virus,” the CDC’s Massetti said “the pandemic is not over” and “we know that COVID-19 is here to stay.” […] If you needed more indication that the new COVID guidance is at least a step in the right direction, some of the “experts” are already criticizing the updated guidelines. In one such instance, . . .
Arnold: CDC Admits Scary Truths About Vaccine
Nearly a year after the government forced Americans to receive a vaccine in order to live a normal life, the Center for Disease Control and Prevention is back tracking what they originally said about the jab. First reported by the Epoch Times, the CDC is finally admitting that it gave false information about the Wuhan Coronavirus vaccine. The CDC has been caught with blood on their hands. They wrongfully said it conducted a certain type of analysis of the vaccine over one year before the CDC actually did. A spokesperson for the CDC said that they are revising several Information of Freedom Acts (FOIA) and issuing corrections for information it previously claimed was being observed “by the most intense safety monitoring efforts in U.S. history.” Take for instance myocarditis. […] By now it is apparent that the CDC withheld information to prevent vaccine hesitancy.

Tucker: Did Lockdowns Turn Americans Into Lazy Bums?
It looks as if we can add another line to the long list of lockdown harms. Sloth. This explains so much actually. For months, we’ve been watching working/population ratios and labor participation rates and have been stunned by how they both continue to plummet. We search for explanations. Early retirement. Women driven out due to childcare shortages. Unemployment payments. All these factors contribute but there is still more to explain. In the midst of the astonishing hullabaloo over the raid of Donald Trump’s home – and the confiscation of a pro-freedom Republican Congressman’s smartphone – the Bureau of Labor Statistics dropped a remarkable report on labor productivity. Here we see something we’ve never seen before. It’s low and falling. Lower than it has been than in the entire postwar period. It breaks all records. This chart is from 1948 to the present. It adjusts for all factors including participation, population, retirement, and so on. It only looks at hours over output. Here is what we see. What does this mean?

DEMOCRAT PARTY’S MARXIST PLAYBOOK: CLOWARD-PIVAN STRATEGY
Playbook of the Democrat Party — Cloward and Piven
Cloward and Piven is the Playbook of the Democrat Party. It is the second part of this two-pronged approach: When you don’t have logic or reason on your side, use power. If you don’t have enough power, flood the system to acquire more. Flooding the system was the Cloward and Piven strategy to bring down this country. Create real or phony problems that “require” government actions that begin the process of shifting freedoms from individuals to the State. (For a more layman’s insight, see here.) Rahm Emmanuel, President Obama’s Chief of Staff, said that “no good crisis should ever go to waste.” That implied an opening for more government, a Cloward and Piven (CP) opportunity. (To visualize one asserted implementation of this, involving Acorn, see here.) The strategy is not a Democrat monopoly. Republicans use it also, although do not brag about it or depend upon it almost exclusively. The process is like rust eroding liberty, slowly and steadily. It replaces freedom with dependency and controls. There are two problems with the strategy: . . .

Discover the Networks: Cloward-Piven Strategy (CPS): Strategy for forcing political change through orchestrated crisis
First proposed in 1966 and named after Columbia University sociologists Richard Andrew Cloward and his wife Frances Fox Piven — both longtime members of the Democratic Socialists of America, where Piven today is an honorary chair — the “Cloward-Piven Strategy” seeks to hasten the fall of capitalism by overloading the government bureaucracy with a flood of impossible demands, thus pushing society into crisis and economic collapse. […] In their 1966 article, Cloward and Piven charged that the ruling classes used welfare to weaken the poor; that by providing a social safety net, the rich doused the fires of rebellion. Poor people can advance only when “the rest of society is afraid of them,” Cloward told The New York Times on September 27, 1970. Rather than placating the poor with government hand-outs, wrote Cloward and Piven, activists should work to sabotage and destroy the welfare system. The authors also asserted that: (a) the collapse of the welfare state would ignite a political and financial crisis that would rock the country; (b) poor people would rise in revolt; and (c) only then would “the rest of society” accept their demands. The key to sparking this rebellion would be to expose the inherent inadequacy of the welfare state. In this regard, Cloward-Piven’s early promoters cited radical organizer Saul Alinsky as their inspiration. […] The Cloward-Piven article called for “cadres of aggressive organizers” to use “demonstrations to create a climate of militancy.” Then, the authors predicted, the following would happen: . .

BIDEN/HARRIS/OBAMA REGIME: TRANSFORMING FOREIGN POLICY
Greenfield: Biden Administration Stonewalls Inspector General on Afghanistan on Terror Cash
As the United States approaches $800 million in spending in Afghanistan after the Taliban takeover, there is no way to know how much of the money is going to Islamic terrorists. And the State Department and USAID have violated federal law on obstructing audits and investigations while experiencing no consequences either in the form of legal sanctions or media pressure. The Biden administration is determined to prevent any scrutiny of taxpayer money going to terrorists. And after having authorized such deals, it’s won’t let SIGAR peek over its shoulder. The question is no longer what Biden, Blinken and Power are hiding, but how bad it is.
BIDEN/HARRIS/OBAMA REGIME: TRANSFORMING AMERICA
Goodin: Biden’s history lesson: President was told the U.S. is facing a crisis similar to the tensions before the Civil War and the fascist movement leading to the Second World War in two-hour White House talk from historians
President Joe Biden has been holding a series of secret meetings with historians, policy experts and even former President Bill Clinton, a new report revealed Thursday, as he navigates a variety of problems facing the nation. […] The historians compared Biden’s moment in history to the 1860 election when Abraham Lincoln warned that a ‘house divided against itself cannot stand’ and the 1940 election, when President Franklin D. Roosevelt battled rising domestic sympathy for European fascism and resistance to the U.S. joining World War II. […] Biden said he ran for president because of the political violence he saw in Charlottesville, Va., in August 2017 when marchers in the Unite the Right rally clashed with counterprotesters, resulting in three deaths and multiple injuries. In his first major speech as president-elect, he said: ‘I pledge to be a President who seeks not to divide, but to unify.’ ‘To make progress, we must stop treating our opponents as our enemy,’ he said. ‘We are not enemies. We are Americans.’

THE CORRUPT & DANGEROUS DEMOCRAT PARTY’S MEDIA INDUSTRIAL COMPLEX
Showalter: Is Chuck Schumer ‘the Big Guy’ over at the New York Times?
Is Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer the final word at what runs at the New York Times? Sure looks like it, given a disturbing anecdote told by former Timeswoman Bari Weiss, who left the Times more than two years ago over its atmosphere of intolerance. Turns out the Times isn’t just intolerant, it’s sycophantic — and these charges aren’t just right wing hyperbole: According to Mediaite, Republican South Carolina Sen. Tim Scott had sent in an op-ed to the Times laying out his views on police reform in the wake of the George Floyd riots. On her podcast, where she had Scott on as a guest, she described this:

THE DEMOCRAT LED WAR ON CHILDREN
Prestigiacomo: Radical Antifa Teacher Exposed By Project Veritas Given Ridiculous Sum Of Money To Resign
Gabriel Gipe made waves in 2021 when guerrilla journalism organization Project Veritas released video of the teacher admitting that he tried to turn his students into “revolutionaries” and offered extra credit for attending far-left Antifa events. The Natomas Unified School District found that Gipe had committed “clear violations of political activity” in the classroom, KCRA 3 News reported this week. In exchange for his resignation from Inderkum High School, the district agreed to pay the teacher three years’ salary, amounting to $190,000. It was paid out to him in two checks. […] The investigation into Gipe also uncovered that he would create a hostile environment for conservative students. The teacher once posted photos of the conservative students on a political compass next to a swastika, The Sacrament Bee reported. […] “I have 180 days to turn them into revolutionaries,” Gipe said in shocking Project Veritas video released last year, The Daily Wire reported. “[I] scare the f*** out of them.”

Yoshida: Japan’s Government Looted the Future—and Its Children Are Paying the Price
In recent years, Japan’s economy has somewhat rebounded but as economist Hiroshi Yoshida explains below, new issues are now arising that call into question Tokyo’s increasing debt. One of the problems he identifies is present here in the US as well, namely, “Not enough people stand up for future generations when it comes to fiscal policy.”)
Jazz Shaw: Denmark outlaws the COVID vaccines for children
Yesterday, we learned that the CDC is basically pulling the plug on the pandemic and telling everyone to just get on with their lives. When NPR covered the story, they gave the impression that there wasn’t going to be as much of a push to get people vaccinated, either. But that’s just here in the United States. Across the pond, the changes to official government policy are coming in a more fast and furious fashion. It was just announced in Denmark that vaccinations for children are ending entirely. We’re not talking about removing mandates. Denmark is effectively outlawing the vaccination of children for COVID, saying it will “no longer be possible” for children under the age of 18 to receive first shots immediately and second shots will be banned in September.
