It appears to me to be a warning shot across the bow of the GOPe that, going forward, things will not be business as usual. For starters, if the GOPe decides to try to pass actual legislation that is offensive to conservatives, they will only be able to do so by colluding with Dems. That will spell doom for many in 2024. This lowered the threshold for a majority vote and essentially reversed their prior opposition. Their change followed 14 other holdout Republicans who flipped their votes to McCarthy during the 12th ballot and Andy Harris (R-Md.), switching to McCarthy on the 13th. After Speaker Kevin McCarthy was sworn into office, he delivered a speech to the entire House.

Pearce: January 6 Committee Releases Social Security Numbers Of Top Trump Officials, Republican Governors

The House January 6 Committee, now disbanded, released Social Security numbers belonging to hundreds of Americans, including former Trump staffers and other top Republican officials. After the committee’s last public meeting last month, it released a trove of official records, testimonies, transcripts, and other information that it collected as part of its 18-month investigation into the riot at the U.S. Capitol on January 6, 2021. One of those documents was a spreadsheet containing nearly 2,000 Social Security numbers of people who visited the White House in December 2020. Among the Social Security numbers on the list, since removed from January 6 files, was information associated with at least three Trump cabinet members, as well as some Republican governors and numerous officials and allies, according to The Washington Post. Those people whose information was on the spreadsheet are now at an “elevated risk” to be victims of identity theft-related crimes, Identity Theft Resource Center COO James Lee said.

Adherents to the philosophy of pluralism (which posits that all humans are of equal value) have extrapolated that idea of tolerance into the absurd idea that, like people, all truths are equally valid. Given the very definition of truth, that is clearly impossible. For example, if I’m Caucasian — which is a fact clearly visible, since various attributes like my skin color, hair and eye color, DNA, etc., correspond to Caucasian ancestry — but I claim to be Native American, it’s immediately clear that both those “truths” cannot be true. Yet the relativist/pluralist camp would direct you to disbelieve your lying eyes and accept my claim to being a member of a Native American tribe. Before political correctness infected all modes of communication, we’d have said that people who hold to such a view are simply crazy. However, in the “more tolerant” society that has developed today, we cannot simply state the obvious for fear of hurting someone’s tender psyche or bruising their feelings. In other words, we have to accept the lie. […] One of the darlings of the political Left is Friedrich Nietzsche, who wrote, “There are no facts, only interpretations,” a pure expression of the relativist philosophy. His adherents claim that absolute, objective truth is narrow-minded and exclusionary… and they’re right! Truth excludes lies and forces us to confront reality as it is, not as we wish it to be. A first-grade teacher who cops say was deliberately shot in the chest by a six year-old boy is a 25 year-old heroine who screamed for her students to run to safety. Abby Zwerner is the educator who was struck by the bullet in her classroom at Richneck Elemtary School in Newport News, Virginia, around 2pm Friday, DailyMail.com can reveal. She was rushed to hospital for surgery after. Officials said earlier this evening that Zwerner was critically-injured, and no further updates have been shared. Police said the boy, who has not been publicly identified, got into an ‘altercation’ with Zwerner, of Williamsburg, before shooting her.
