When combined with the unfortunate reality that 33% of the older generations would also vote for an avowed socialist, the political impact of Millennials and Gen Z cannot be underestimated. This massive segment of the citizenry is growing in influence with each passing election. In 2016 this group accounted for 36% of all registered voters. In 2020 they accounted for 44% of all registered voters. In 2024 it is estimated that they will account for nearly 52% of all registered voters.

Mangold-Lenett: Deepfake Pornography Reveals Yet Another Risk Posed By Artificial Intelligence

At the end of January, popular Twitch live-streamer Brandon Ewing — better known as Atrioc — was exposed in a now-deleted post online for allegedly patronizing a pornographic website that specialized in the production of “deepfakes” of online personalities, many of whom were his colleagues on Twitch and his personal friends. Atrioc was accused of consuming pornography of his colleagues and friends that was generated through artificial intelligence (AI) technology without these individuals’ consent. In an apology stream, Atrioc admitted to the accusations and said he found the source of the deepfakes through advertisements on another porn website. He also admitted he was paying for videos in which AI was used to superimpose the likenesses of his friends and colleagues onto the bodies of pornographic actresses. The resounding uproar online, originating with a video of Atrioc’s apology that has amassed millions of views, does appear to be justified. After all, he willfully solicited and consumed pornographic content in which the essence of his personal friends and his business partners was stolen and exploited. The recent development of using AI technology to create pornography of individuals without their awareness or consent is an incredibly pernicious phenomenon.

Biden has considered declaring such an emergency, but so far he has declined, to the disappointment of many progressives. The United Nations (U.N.) has urged all countries to declare a climate emergency.[…] Most people don’t realize that under U.S. law, a national emergency declaration triggers a set of emergency powers that allows a president to act without the need for further legislation. Justice: 5 Reasons Biden’s Electric Vehicles Are A Boondoggle

President Joe Biden touted electric vehicles as the solution to climate change again Tuesday night during his State of the Union address. “We’re building 500,000 vehicle charging stations installed across the country by tens of thousands of IBEW workers,” Biden said, “and helping families save more than $1,000 a year with tax credits for the purchase of electric vehicles and energy-efficient appliances.” Those tax credits, however, aren’t as green as they seem. EVs Are a Green Illusion: The process to manufacture electric vehicles is so environmentally toxic between the mining and assembly that it takes years of driving before emissions are reduced, according to a deep dive by RealClear Investigations in October. “The electric car’s biggest disadvantage on greenhouse gas emissions is the production of an EV battery, which requires energy-intensive mining and processing, and generates twice as much carbon emissions as the manufacture of an internal combustion engine,” RealClear reported. “This means that the EV starts off with a bigger carbon footprint than a gasoline-powered car when it rolls off the assembly line and takes time to catch up to a gasoline-powered car.” Even then, the American power grid used to charge the car still relies primarily on fossil fuels. In other words, the car runs on coal. Some studies have shown electric vehicles are even worse for the environment than gas-powered vehicles.

According to a press announcement today from House Judiciary Chairman Jim Jordan, who is also the Chairman of the select subcommittee, the larger Judiciary Committee is currently taking transcribed testimony from FBI whistleblowers about the political targeting within the Dept of Justice.

Lawmakers’ reaction to the bad news raises the prospect that the loosely regulated marijuana marketplace, worth $13.2 billion last year and growing 15 percent annually, could come under pressure. Even some of those most supportive of legalization, such as the co-chairs of the Congressional Cannabis Caucus, Reps. Earl Blumenauer (D-Ore.) and Dave Joyce (R-Ohio), are calling for more regulation and better oversight. “One of the reasons I have fought so hard to be able to legalize, regulate and tax is because I want to keep this out of the hands of young people. It has proven negative consequences for the developing mind,” said Blumenauer, Capitol Hill’s unofficial cannabis czar.

Johnson: AFTER LAST NIGHT

I thought the flight of the Chinese spy balloon across the United States was a national embarrassment, but it was nothing compared to President Biden’s State of the Union performance last night. I thought he hit the high point with his congratulation of Kevin McCarthy for ascending to the Speakership in the first few seconds of his speech. The speed of the descent varied, but it was downhill all the way from there. That means it was a long, long way downhill. The Washington Post has a useful set of corrections on subjects other than those I mention below (the link is to the accessible version published by Jewish World Review). David Harsanyi adds a stylish touch in his Federalist column “Don’t Fall For Joe Biden’s Economic Fairy Tale.” Biden wants to “finish the job” he has started. The phrase appears in the text of his speech 12 times. I think that has an ominous ring. Finishing the job will finish us off.

President Biden’s State of the Union address was full of bizarre moments, but one that stood out to lawmakers and viewers alike was when the commander in chief went off script to shout about Chinese President Xi Jinping. “Name me a world leader who would change places with Xi Jinping!” Biden yelled amid a portion of his speech about how democracies have become stronger, while autocracies have gotten weaker. “Name me one! President Biden was scolded by a wide swath of Republican lawmakers for dubiously claiming they want to cut Social Security and Medicare. During his second State of the Union address Tuesday night, Biden face strong resistance from the GOP, who he accused of wanting to take the economy “hostage.”

“Some of my Republican friends want to take the economy hostage, which I get it, unless I agree with their economic plans.” Biden said. “All of you know should know what those plans are.”

The state of the union is strong, declared Joe Biden at the end of an interminable 70 minutes. Unhappily, the nation disagrees. The latest read on consumer sentiment from the UMCSENT (University of Michigan Consumer Sentiment) was 64.9, which compares with 98.3 at the same moment of Trump’s presidency.

Some 75% of the country thinks we’re on the wrong track (versus 59% under Trump) and, when asked by CBS News in a recent survey to describe our nation, 62% said “divided,” 49% responded with “declining” and 41% said “weak.” Mr. President, with all due respect, that does not sound like a strong state of the union. It was only one of Biden’s many misleading statements meant to convince the nation that he deserves another term. Given his halting and uneven presentation, which will only reinforce concerns about his age, good luck with that. The president’s second State of the Union Speech was a rambling mash-up of impossible partisan ambitions (passing a billionaire’s tax, new funding for countless initiatives, banning assault weapons), proposed regulations that will complicate and slow our economy (promoting unions, dictating fees and personnel rules) new programs that will add to our unsustainable deficits, class warfare talking points and an extensive catalog of dishonest claims about this administration’s achievements. There was very little that was new.

If we want to settle the debate as to whether the vaccines are safe or not, the authorities should show us the data. Sadly, no one in the mainstream medical community is calling for data transparency. In the meantime, I was able to obtain a dump of death-vax data from the Medicare database for Connecticut.

The limitations are that it’s primarily for those who died who are over 65 and the vaccination records are missing for nearly half the records. This means I don’t have a good control group making observations somewhat difficult. Despite that, I was able to discover some valuable insights that surprised me. Here are my takeaways from looking at the data: There was NO spike in deaths in the first 30 days after the vaccine was given for any age group. That was the biggest surprise to me. So the spike in deaths post-vaccine administration as reported in VAERS is simply due to the time proximity making it more likely that the event is recognized and reported. It is a reporting artifact. Note that the vaccine is killing people on Day 0, but your risk of death is relatively uniformly elevated over a long period of time. It showed . . .

A new peer-reviewed study found a positive statistical correlation between infant mortality rates (IMRs) and the number of vaccine doses received by babies — confirming findings made by the same researchers a decade ago. In “Reaffirming a Positive Correlation Between Number of Vaccine Doses and Infant Mortality Rates: A Response to Critics,” published Feb. 2 in Cureus, authors Gary S. Goldman, Ph.D., an independent computer scientist, and Neil Z. Miller, a medical researcher, examined this potential correlation. Their findings indicate a “positive correlation between the number of vaccine doses and IMRs is detectable in the most highly developed nations” — which, on average, administer the most vaccine doses to infants. The authors replicated the results of a 2011 statistical analysis they conducted, and refuted the results of a recent paper that questioned those findings. Miller spoke to The Defender about the study and its implications for infant and childhood vaccination schedules.

AP: Indiana lawmakers advance plan to give illegal immigrants driving cards

Indiana lawmakers pushed ahead for the first time on Tuesday a proposal that would allow immigrants living in the country illegally to obtain state-issued cards giving them permission to drive. A state Senate committee voted 5-4 to endorse the bill, a step that comes after similar proposals introduced over the past decade have never advanced in the Republican-dominated Legislature. The bill would establish driver privilege cards, which the Indiana Bureau of Motor Vehicles could issue to immigrants who pass the state’s driving test, have paid Indiana taxes in the past year, submitted to a fingerprint background check and provide proof of auto insurance.

Hams: Canadian Catholic High School Suspends Junior For Acknowledging Two Genders

Normally as a father, if you learned that your son, who is a junior in high school had been suspended, you would be pretty upset with him. However, if your Josh Alexander’s dad and you learn that your son was suspended for demonstrating both common sense and chivalry, your anger quickly turns to pride.
