NOTABLE QUOTES

Torben Halbe contributor to American Thinker: Regardless of whether the mob is led by human activists or artificial intelligence, the real danger is that the Constitution is vulnerable to the whims of a majority. Ironically, the chatbots are our best shot at achieving this. Instead of trying to ban the AI, conservatives should prepare to fight fire with fire, using chatbots to mass-produce articles and posts that emphasize individuality and entrepreneurship, demand constitutional reform, and push back on every collectivist and technocratic post in the media.

Ryan Fournier tweeted: The government is paying $2,125/month in refugee benefits to refugees resettled in the United States. Meanwhile, Social Security recipients who have paid into the system their whole live receive $1,400/month on average. Will Biden ever put Americans first?

Daniel Greenfield contributor to Frontpage Magazine: Team Biden is preparing for a second basement campaign. The Biden folks believe that Trump or any other Republican nominee will be reluctant to work with the Commission on Presidential Debates, lessening the chances, and risk, of a head-to-head debate. When your campaign plan is hoping your candidate won’t have to debate, that means you know he’s not qualified or competent to run.

Sundance contributor to The Last Refuge: Saying that DeSantis “is shrewd, ruthless, and ambitious”, George Soros delivers an endorsement of the Florida governor adding, “He is likely to be the Republican candidate.” When billionaire leftist and creepy globalist George Soros is complimenting your personality attributes, you just might be doing the whole Republican presidential candidate thing wrong. Just sayin’.

Sundance on Nikki Haley’s presidential run: Yes, the candidate of lightly held stances, an outlook subject to change based on the poll tested winds of the electorate, a person who frames her political bona fides through the prism of her gender in every single conversation, has officially announced she will be seeking the republican nomination. Whoo, hooo.

Nathanael Blake contributor to The Federalist: Consequently, the real answer to this toxic “cult” of anti-racism is not a more moderate and scholarly version of the same. Rather, it is true religion, which tells us that we cannot buy happiness, and which actually addresses the sin of racism by preaching the brotherhood of man under God the Father.

Brown: Christian university in Kentucky draws pilgrims nationwide amid spiritual revival: ‘Gives me so much hope’

The movement began after students refused to leave following a chapel service last Wednesday, and the services have since grown to pack the school’s chapel with worshippers from all over the country, according to Christianity Today. “It’s praise and worship, honestly. Nobody’s snake-handling. It’s just praise and worship that’s going around 24/7,” Jim Shores, an associate professor at the school, told Fox News Digital. […]  “It’s really been student-led, but now the world’s coming in to be like, ‘I want to experience this.’ People are just hungry to have an experience.” He said some are coming simply because they are curious, but many have come searching for hope and connection. […]   “If you look at the world, and you look at what is going on and what Gen Z is facing, I just think they are absolutely desperate for something other than what the world is giving them right now,” Laub told Fox News Digital, adding that Gen Z has suffered much during the past few years.

Malone: By A Midwestern Doctor: The First Mandatory Vaccination Campaign That Crippled America’s Pilots

The forgotten history of the military’s disastrous anthrax vaccination campaign. Executive Summary:

  • One of the most troubling consequences of the COVID-19 vaccines are the implications for airline safety– there have been numerous harrowing cases recently involving airline pilots having heart attacks or dying, which, almost resulted in  a catastrophe .
  • A strong case can be made that much of what we have seen with the COVID-19 vaccine policies and mandates were beta-tested by the Department of Defense (DoD) with the remarkably dangerous anthrax vaccines 20 to 30 years ago.
  • Although maintaining the health of pilots is critically important for the military, continuing the anthrax vaccine program took priority over the pilots’ welfare.
  • Observing how the military handled these issues is thus quite instructive for comprehending the gross malfeasance that can be seen in the U.S. government’s current actions.

GLOBALISM (GREAT RESET) & TRANSHUMANISM (HUMANS 2.0) ARE INEXTRICABLY LINKED

Bressner: Tech gurus call AI frightening, mind-blowing

Tech experts, taking a first look at Microsoft’s new AI-powered search engine, are learning what happens when you push the system out of its comfort zone. Why it matters: Two well-known tech columnists describe their experiences with Bing’s AI as chilling, scary and mind-blowing. “It’s now clear,” the New York Times’ Kevin Roose writes, “that in its current form, the A.I. that has been built into Bing … is not ready for human contact. Or maybe we humans are not ready for it.” The big picture: Roose and Ben Thompson, who writes a newsletter called Stratechery, posted bizarre and winding conversations they had with Bing’s chat, also named Sydney.

U.S. SUPREME COURT

Nava: Supreme Court removes Title 42 case from argument schedule

The Supreme Court will not hear oral arguments in a case involving the Title 42 border policy that was scheduled to take place on March 1.  The high court gave no reason Thursday for the removal of Arizona v. Mayorkas from its schedule. The case has not been dismissed. However, the Biden administration indicated earlier this month that the matter would become moot on May 11, when the national COVID-19 pandemic emergency formally comes to an end.

REPUBLICAN U.S. HOUSE MAJORITY

Justice: McCarthy Begins To Build Case For Mayorkas Impeachment

Kevin McCarthy began to build the case for Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas’ impeachment this week with the California lawmaker’s first trip to the border as House speaker.Talking to reporters, with the southeast Arizona border wall serving as his backdrop, McCarthy outlined the myriad crises plaguing the nation due to unchecked migration and charged the DHS secretary with lying to the public. “Our border, we don’t even have operational control of it anymore,” McCarthy said. “This is why I will continue to investigate what has gone wrong here and we will hold people accountable. And that includes Secretary Mayorkas.”

REPUBLICAN U.S. SENATE MINORITY

Continetti: 2024 Is Make or Break for the Senate GOP

Senate Republicans begin the 2024 campaign cycle with an advantage. They need a net gain of two seats (or one if the GOP wins the presidency) to take control of the chamber. And they have plenty of targets. Of the 34 seats up for grabs, two-thirds are held by Democrats or by independents who caucus with Democrats. Republicans love this map. Understandably so. Democrats must defend three seats in states that backed Donald Trump by considerable margins in both 2016 and 2020. The Democrats also must defend five seats in states that President Joe Biden won by less than 5 percent. In contrast, there are no Republican incumbents from Biden states and just two whose previous election margins were below 5 percent. Ted Cruz of Texas and Rick Scott of Florida come from states that Trump won twice and are more than likely to be red next year as well. At first glance, then, Republicans are on their way to capturing the Senate. But looks can be deceiving.

BIDEN/HARRIS/OBAMA’S AMERICA LAST REGIME: TRANSFORMING FOREIGN POLICY

Wauck: What To Expect From The Coming Russian Offensive

Yes, we’ve been hearing continually about the coming Russian offensive. It was supposed to happen as soon as the ground froze, but it seems to keep getting pushed back. Now people like Doug Macgregor are saying it could happen in a matter of days: . . .  […]  For anyone who may have read people who detract from Macgregor’s expertise, the author that Wayne recommended to me—Simplicius the Thinker—has this to say: … there are some people who understandably see Colonel Macgregor as just some random talking head, and don’t know that he was the de facto commander of the famous Battle of 73 Easting, which is considered the “6th largest tank battle in American history” and one, if not the, largest tank battles post-WW2 in the second half of the 20th century. Macgregor has also been praised, as “one of the army’s leading thinkers on innovation” and for his near flawless combat and simulation record. […]  Scott Ritter is saying similar things—and like the the Macgregor video above, this video is highly recommended: . . .[…]  According to Simplicius, what we’re about to see is that Russia will benefit form the Economy of Scale: That is, there’s a certain benefit gained from scaling up one’s forces, where certain redundancies and parallelizations of systems begin to work in tandem in such a way as to become ‘more than the sum of their parts’, conferring additional benefits. Practically speaking, what this translates into is a sort of exponential increase in Russia’s offensive capabilites as well as its defensive depth—it’s ability to protect its depth of logistical support. This has already made the difference for Russia in allowing for the long range destruction of massive Ukrainian defense works. But that capability is about to get a big boost, at the moment that Ukraine will be fatally weakened. This is what the US/NATO sees coming. And they don’t know how to stop it, short of unilateral surrender.

Richard: Cruz responds after Biden allegedly authorized $200 million fighter jet to shoot down $12 science project

Cruz, R-Texas, joked that Biden’s decision to authorize the $200 million fighter jet to use a $400,000 missile to shoot down what may have been a $12 balloon serves as a “powerful deterrence” to high school students interested in creating their own at-home science balloons. The comment came after the Northern Illinois Bottlecap Balloon Brigade’s (NIBBB), an Illinois-based hobbyist club, said their pico balloon that was floating off the west coast of Alaska went missing the same day a Lockheed Martin jet shot down an unidentified object matching its description. “To be fair, Biden is providing is powerful deterrence for any high school science clubs that might try to invade America….” Cruz wrote on Twitter.

DEMOCRAT PARTY MARXIST PLAYBOOK: REVISIONIST AMERICAN HISTORY

Sullivan: First, They Came for the Confederates….

On Disney’s latest ultra-woke reboot “The Proud Family: Louder and Prouder”, the characters immediately roll into a litany of damnable lies about the history of this country. Intended for an audience of children, the first diatribe declares: Slaves built this country and we the descendants of slaves have earned reparations for their suffering and continue to earn reparations every moment we spend submerged in a systemic prejudice, racism and white supremacy that America was founded with and still has not atoned for [sic].Simple historical context and logic easily disprove that initial claim, of course.  Slaves certainly didn’t “build this country” — America was nothing resembling the economic juggernaut that it would later become when slavery was summarily abolished in 1865, and one could hardly suggest with any seriousness that the agrarian part of the country where slaves existed was the most substantial driver of America’s eventual economic and industrial might. […]  In truth, far from being a benefit to the states which allowed it, slavery was known to be a dreadful economic burden of which even plantation owners in the Antebellum South were keenly aware.  As Alexis de Tocqueville observes in Democracy in America (1836), the Southern states’ reason for maintaining slavery was not because it was financially beneficial for them to do so.  In fact, he writes that many Southern planters would: . . . […] Then They Came for the Founders and Lincoln…. But when the radical progressive revisionists came for the Confederates, we didn’t speak out.  After all, we aren’t Confederates, and we certainly didn’t want to be counted in league with the traitorous and racist Confederates whom the progressives told us had no other interests beyond their vast fortunes to be made by exploiting slave labor and the evil satisfaction to be had by subjugating human beings. […]  And while the descendants of slaves who now enjoy life and liberty while pursuing their own happiness likewise owe these men a debt of gratitude, they most certainly are not owed financial restitution for hardships that they never endured.

2022 ARIZONA MIDTERM ELECTION UPDATE

Billeaud: Kari Lake loses appeal in Arizona governor race challenge

An Arizona appeals court has rejected Republican Kari Lake’s challenge of her defeat in the Arizona governor’s race to Democrat Katie Hobbs, denying her request to throw out election results in the state’s most populous county and hold the election again. In a ruling on Thursday, the Arizona Court of Appeals wrote Lake, who claimed problems with ballot printers at some polling places on Election Day were the result of intentional misconduct, presented no evidence that voters whose ballots were unreadable by tabulators at polling places were not able to vote. The court said that even a witness called by Lake to testify had confirmed that ballots that couldn’t initially be read at polling places could still ultimately have their vote counted. […]  The appeals court wrote Lake’s appeal failed because the evidence supports the conclusion that “voters were able to cast their ballots, that votes were counted correctly, and that no other basis justifies setting aside the election results.” Shortly after the ruling, Lake tweeted: “I told you we would take this case all the way to the Arizona Supreme Court, and that’s exactly what we are going to do. Buckle up, America!”

Alexander: Testimony to Arizona Senate Election Committee Reveals Thousands of Misdemeanors Allegedly Committed by Maricopa County in 2022 Election

The Arizona Senate’s Election Committee continued the second part of a hearing on Monday that began last week, featuring testimony from election integrity proponents. Shelby Busch, the co-founder of We the People AZ, and Heather Honey of Verify Vote, went over five areas where their team found apparent law violations by Maricopa County in the 2022 election. Busch said during her presentation, “We want safe elections, not convenient ones,” sparking applause from the audience. State Senator Wendy Rogers (R-Flagstaff), the committee chair, kept a tight rein over the proceedings, often calling out the Democratic senators on the committee when they were out of line. One used the phrase “election denier,” and Rogers told her it was inappropriate. Busch explained that her team found . . .

Kotkin: Mysteries of the Labor Force

Yet even as some employers raise wages and job counts have surged, many workers are still staying on the sidelines. […] There are many explanations here, and each, to some extent, makes sense. Alienation of labor, as Marx described it, has risen as people conclude that “grinding” doesn’t pay off. In America, a country where hard work has long been celebrated, barely half of Democratic Party members believe that such efforts offer commensurate rewards. Among some young people around the world—even in China—there is a reluctance to embrace hard work and a desire to “lay flat” as they essentially avoid the congestion and stresses of urban life. There are good reasons to be discouraged. In the United States, long known as the land of opportunity, the chance of middle-class earners moving to the top rungs of the earnings ladder has dropped by approximately 20 percent since the early 1980s.  For many, college education was long seen as the certified path to success. But no longer.

Ollstein: Kentucky Supreme Court leaves abortion ban in place

The Kentucky Supreme Court ruled Thursday to keep two state abortion restrictions in place for now — dashing the hope of clinics in the deep-red state that had sued for the right to resume providing the procedure while legal challenges continue. In her opinion, Justice Debra Lambert said that Louisville Circuit Court Judge Mitch Perry was wrong to halt enforcement of the bans last July and the appeals court was correct to reinstate the bans in August. She did, however, leave the door open to hearing a future challenge on whether “the right to abortion exists by implication under the Kentucky Constitution.”

Whitehead: World’s Oldest Hebrew Bible Could Become Most Expensive Historical Document Ever Sold

A Hebrew Bible that is over a thousand years old is on track to break records when it goes up for auction this spring, Sotheby’s, the group auctioning it off, said on Wednesday. They estimate the Bible will go for $30 to $50 million. If it were to bring in $50 million, it would become the most valuable historical manuscript or document ever sold at an auction. Known as the Codex Sassoon, it consists of 400 pages of parchment sheets — including all 24 books of the Hebrew Bible. Sotheby’s notes that it is missing 12 leaves. Some of the missing pages are the first ten chapters of Genesis, according to The New York Times.

Meloni has an approval rating of 53% among Italians, which makes her the sixth most popular leader, surpassing Biden’s 41%, according to Morning Consult.
