[…] “Inspector General vacancies hamper accountability and are a disservice to whistleblowers,” Leavitt said in a statement to Just the News. “The watchdog function is neutered when the White House and Senate slow roll confirmations. Every vacancy is a win for corruption and abuse of power.” Comer’s letter went on to list different ways that the vacancies could negatively impact U.S. national security.

The New York State Health Department’s order stated that “no resident shall be denied re-admission or admission” to a nursing home “solely based on a confirmed or suspected diagnosis of COVID-19.” It even banned nursing homes from testing incoming patients to prevent cases from being detected. In nursing homes that complied with the order, residents swiftly began dying. By the end of the pandemic, 15% of the state’s nursing home residents were dead.

Over 9,000 infected patients were sent into nursing homes and over 15,000 nursing home residents died. […] Dr. Zucker was New York’s Fauci. He became the public face of Cuomo’s pandemic response and defended his actions and those of his boss.

[…] He was hired on as Chief Medical Officer at Color Health, a company that had specialized in COVID tests, did some teaching at local universities and then became a Deputy Director at the CDC. Allegations that Joe Biden partook in a $5 million bribery scheme involve Ukraine where his son scored a lucrative energy job and were first presented to the FBI by a reliable and well-paid informant back in 2017, House Oversight and Accountability Chairman James Comer told Just the News on Tuesday evening.

The curriculum will analyze how several industries grew as a result of the slave trade and how these industries contribute to the existing black-white wealth gap, according to the program’s official website. Students will also “investigate the historical and financial backgrounds” of different reparations proposals, both in the United States and abroad. Students will, per the unit resources, study “how reparations have been paid throughout history to communities throughout the world” and use algebra to evaluate the mathematical models underlying reparations proposals.

On Brownstone, Dr Clayton J Baker MD has written The Four Pillars of Medical Ethics Were Destroyed in the Covid Response. UK orthopedic surgeon Dr Ahmad K Malik contributed Covid: The destruction of medical ethics and trust in the medical profession, part 1 and part 2. Dr Baker argues that the four pillars: “autonomy, beneficence, non-maleficence, and justice” have crumbled under a full-on attack. I will not restate the many excellent points made by the two authors. Instead I will try to understand what has happened with some help from economics. The story of the accumulation and the dissipation of trust can be told through the lens of economics by borrowing the concept of capital goods. This trust was earned in earlier decades when doctors had smaller practices, spent more time with patients, had autonomy in their decisions, and provided individualized care.
