Even Trump’s Secret Service detail has been weaponized and transformed into informants. Secret Service agents hired to protect Donald Trump may have provided key evidence in the classified documents case where the former president is at risk of federal indictment, according to a legal expert.

Former federal prosecutor Joyce Vance discussed a “new and interesting” detail reported by The New York Times on June 6. More than 20 members of the former president’s security detail have testified to a grand jury in Washington D.C., the newspaper reported. The grand jury heard evidence as part of the investigation into allegations Trump mishandled classified materials found at his Mar-a-Lago resort and obstructed the federal attempt to retrieve them… […] There is supposed to be a bond of trust between presidents and the Secret Service agents who protect them. The Department of Justice’s own press release on the case likewise trumpeted Ventura’s arrest for “knowingly concealing the source of material support or resources that he intended to go to a foreign terrorist organization.” The only problem with the case and how it has been described, however, is that according to the government’s own criminal complaint, Ventura had never actually funded any terrorist group. The only “terrorist” he is accused of ever being in contact with was an undercover FBI agent who befriended him online as a 16-year-old, solicited small cash donations in the form of gift cards, and directed him not to tell anyone else about their intimate online relationship, including his family. […] The picture that emerges in the charging documents is, instead, the more familiar tale of an impressionable, vulnerable young man, legally a child at the point the investigation began, groomed by FBI undercover agents online to break the law and generate flashy headlines in the aftermath. CISA, a part of the Department of Homeland Security, previously identified a gap in software security believed to have been exploited in attack. An electronic file transfer application, MOVEit Transfer, is thought to be the target of the broader cyber intrusion, one official said. A spokesperson for Mandiant, the cyber intelligence arm of Google Cloud, said government data was stolen in the attack. Westchester County DA ends probe of Trump golf course without filing charges

The district attorney in Westchester County, New York, has closed a two-year investigation into former President Donald Trump without filing criminal charges, her office confirmed Thursday. District Attorney Miriam Rocah had been investigating whether Trump National Golf Club Westchester had tried to inappropriately lower its tax burden in the Town of Ossining.

In 95 percent Democrat Washington, DC, every Republican will be convicted and every Democrat acquitted. That’s why the feds, who care about convictions and not justice, break their backs bending over to get cases against Republicans or Republican-adjacent defendants heard in DC. How do they get on juries if they are biased? Often they simply lie to hide their prejudices. Do not do this. Nothing will ever happen to a leftist juror who lies, but you could get prosecuted.

Whedon: Accused Pentagon leaker indicted for allegedly posting classified material online

A federal grand jury on Wednesday indicted Air National Guardsman Jack Teixeira in connection with one of the most serious leaks of classified military intelligence in recent memory. Teixeira faces charges of unlawful disclosure of classified defense information, according to CBS News. He is currently in custody and will remain in prison until his trial. He allegedly posted hundreds of pages of sensitive documents on a Discord server over several months. Discord is an online group messaging application that caters to gamers. Much of the material he posted related to the ongoing Russian invasion of Ukraine.
