Bosanko uses the ruse of Obama/Kim letters to warn Team Trump they are violating PRA. Instead of telling NARA to pound sand, the very uncooperative Team Trump hands over 15 boxes to NARA. Bosanko then claims to have found classified material.

Refers matter to DOJ thru IG. He then admits it is the FIRST TIME he’s referred a former president (my guess is first time ever) to DOJ for a criminal investigation. Of course he did so for Biden and Pence as a CYA. After admitting Trump probably did not pack the boxes (no duh) and it’s a rush job after a defeat, Bosanko says he wasn’t notified the boxes contained classified documents. Because they either weren’t (which I am assuming) or Team Trump didn’t know either. How is this a crime?

Townstone may have violated that regulation, the agency said, when its employees discussed crime in Chicago on a company-hosted radio show about the mortgage market, which also advertised Townstone’s services. The offending statements, plucked from five episodes recorded over a three-year period, included a reference to the South Side of Chicago as a “war zone,” as well as a recommendation that home sellers “take down the Confederate flag.” Merely mentioning the flag, the agency argued, could scare off black applicants. […] What followed was an unprecedented legal battle between a small business with under 10 employees and a powerful federal agency that claimed to know better than the consumers it was allegedly protecting. Where working-class black people heard harmless chit-chat, agency officials heard disparaging dog whistles, which their lawsuit said amounted to “redlining.” […] It felt like “David and Goliath,” said Barry Sturner, Townstone’s president. And it was happening in a country that ostensibly bars the government from targeting citizens for their speech.

Canaparo: No One Voted for Administrative Rule Constraining Every Aspect of Our Lives

The federal government has threatened to withhold Medicare, Medicaid, and Children’s Health Insurance Program funds from a Catholic hospital in Oklahoma because the staff keeps one small candle burning in its chapel. It’s tiny, encased in glass, and kept far away from medical equipment, but the feds insist it’s a safety risk. It’s absurd, but not surprising. Absurdities are a feature of administrative rule. What is administrative rule? It’s a system of government where nearly every aspect of Americans’ lives is regulated by obnoxious laws that nobody voted on, enforced by pedantic bureaucrats who nobody voted for.

The candle is just one example. There are many. Federal water regulators are fighting a 16-year-long battle to prevent the owners of a dry plot of land from building a home, under the theory that the land contains “navigable waters” because it is connected by a road to a marsh, by marsh to a ditch, by ditch to a creek, and by creek to a river.

The new rule proposed in March establishes a framework for “conservation leases” elevated over other uses such as mining, grazing, and gas development. The agency guidelines, which were created without a congressional vote, would implement a radical departure from the “multiple use mandate” outlined by Congress in the Federal Land Policy and Management Act of 1976 (FLPMA). The multiple use mandate requires the BLM, which presides over 245 million acres, primarily in the West, to make lands available for a wide variety of uses for maximum benefit. Conservation leases are poised to choke off millions of acres from those uses.

Launched by President Reagan 40 years ago “to foster the infrastructure of democracy” around the world, the NED is governed by a bipartisan board. It gives grants to democracy activists overseas, holds events, publishes books and journals, and brings advocates for democracy from around the world to the U.S. on fellowships. It receives fierce criticism from both the anti-American Left and the isolationist Right—a good sign of its bipartisan nature. It is loud and proud about promoting democracy abroad despite the cavils. Its congressionally-approved budget from the Department of State for fiscal year 2022 was $300 million. But since the electio n of Donald Trump, NED has repeatedly violated its supposed neutrality on American politics and engaged in openly-partisan advocacy against Trump and Republicans. Indeed, perhaps the greatest tragedy of America today is that liberals do not vote their values. Leftists vote their values, and conservatives vote their values. But liberals vote for left-wing values, almost none of which they hold.

Cleveland: Did The FBI Prevent Delaware Agents From Investigating Biden Bribery Allegations?

Sen. Chuck Grassley, R-Iowa, rarely asks a question to which he doesn’t know the answer. When the question concerns the politicization and weaponization of the FBI, you can bet some damning information rests behind his query. So when Grassley asked on Thursday whether bribery was within the parameters of Delaware’s investigation into Hunter Biden, it likely means the FBI defined the scope of the federal investigation into the president’s son so narrowly that agents lacked the authority to properly probe a “highly credible” confidential human source’s reporting implicating the Biden family. Specifically, the CHS reported that Hunter and Joe Biden each received $5 million in bribes from the Ukrainian oil and gas company Burisma. The Iowa senator posed his question last Thursday during the executive business meeting of the Senate Judiciary Committee. After several exchanges between Republican members of the Judiciary Committee and Democrat Chair Dick Durbin over the question of what, if anything, the FBI had done to investigate the bribery alleged in the CHS’s FD-1023 report, Grassley interjected this query:

The medical organization declared that it will fight for so-called “gender-affirming care” for transgender individuals. […] “In the resolution, the AMA committed to opposing any criminal and legal penalties against patients seeking gender-affirming care, family members or guardians who support them in seeking medical care, and health care facilities and clinicians who provide gender-affirming care,” the AMA proclaimed.

I had the great blessing of speaking at the event last week outside Dodger Stadium organized by Catholics For Catholics in protest of the Dodgers honoring the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence. Since the Dodgers re-invited this despicable group of transvestites impersonating nuns, I have been deeply disturbed by this act of the Dodgers and Major League Baseball that embraces this group’s hatred of religion. This is the tenth Dodgers “Pride Night,” but it is because of this group’s anti-Catholic, anti-religion actions that, for the first time in a decade, people of faith were motivated to act. I am grateful to have found hope in the presence of thousands of other people of faith. […] With grace and organization, thousands of people peacefully marched to the gates of Dodger Stadium. Everyone was focused as they processed with the dignity that comes from people so secure in their faith that they can face adversaries without hate in their hearts. While these Catholics had every right to be angry that the Dodgers and MLB supported a group of men who mocked and degraded their nuns, I saw no anger in the crowd. Instead, a strength that came from a simple belief that their religion should stand up against the hate of anti-religious bigots pervaded the crowd. A strength and belief that needs to spread around the nation until all sports teams reject every form of anti-religious bigotry.

Lindquist: Texas Christian University To Hold ‘Queer Art Of Drag’ Course

Texas Christian University (TCU) will hold a “Queer Art of Drag” course where students will be required to create a “drag persona” and give a performance, a report from Campus Reform revealed. The course, which will be held through the Women and Gender Studies department, will be taught by Dr. Nino Testa, who has a drag persona called “Maria Von Clapp.” “Drag is an art form with a rich history of challenging dominant norms and systems of oppression; building queer community; and cultivating experiences of queer joy in a hostile world,” TCU’s website reads.
