Outlet ANSA has the story, writing that Bonelli said Thursday that he would present a bill to criminalize climate change denial, adding that he considers the Italian government guilty of it. In 2014, a Rochester Institute of Technology philosophy professor named Lawrence Torcello said it was time “‘for modern societies to interpret and update their legal systems’ to charge global warming deniers with ‘criminal and moral negligence,’” reported The Christian Post at the time.
Echoing this just weeks later, Gawker’s Adam Weinstein insisted that we arrest and “punish the climate-change liars.”
In mid-2015, Senator Sheldon Whitehouse (D-R.I.) urged “the U.S. Department of Justice to consider filing a racketeering [RICO] suit against the oil and coal industries for having promoted wrongful thinking on climate change, with the activities of ‘conservative policy’ groups an apparent target of the investigation as well,” related the blog Overlawyered.

A top Pentagon official has confirmed data from the U.S. military showing a spike in myocarditis diagnoses in 2021. According to the Defense Medical Epidemiology (DMED), there were 275 cases of myocarditis in 2021, which represents a 151 percent increase from the annual average from 2016-2020, reports The Epoch Times. Gilbert Cisneros Jr., undersecretary of defense for personnel and readiness, pointed to COVID-19 infection, rather than the COVID-19 vaccines, for the increase in cases of myocarditis, which is an inflammation of the heart muscle. […] Dr. Peter McCullough, a cardiologist, came to a different conclusion, telling The Epoch Times the increase “was most likely due to ill-advised COVID-19 vaccination.” He cited an Israeli study that did “not observe an increased incidence of neither pericarditis nor myocarditis in adult patients recovering from COVID-19 infection.”

This month, Hong Kong’s South China Morning Post reported that the Shanghai-based Polar Research Institute of China revealed that “China has completed the field testing and evaluation of an underwater listening device that will be deployed on a large scale in the Arctic Ocean.”
The innocuous-sounding report tells us that China intends to wage war against the United States and Canada from the Arctic.
Other than this buoy, the institute said, China had “never planted a listening device there.”
That assertion is not truthful. Last fall, the Canadian military, according to Canada’s Globe and Mail in February, removed buoys placed by China in Canadian waters in the Arctic.

Cetenacci: Biden admin quietly settles with eco groups to restrict oil drilling in Gulf of Mexico

The Biden administration quietly entered into a court settlement late Friday with a coalition of environmental groups who have pushed for more wildlife protections from offshore oil development activity. In a stipulated stay agreement filed with the U.S. District Court for the District of Maryland, the National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS) agreed to a number of conditions requested by the coalition of four eco groups led by the Sierra Club which, in response, agreed to temporarily pause litigation in the case. Fossil fuel industry groups, though, blasted the settlement, saying it would hamper domestic energy production. “This private settlement agreement between the federal government and environmental activists places unfounded restrictions on operations in the U.S. Gulf of Mexico that severely hamper America’s ability to produce energy in a region that is responsible for the lowest carbon-intensive barrels in the world,” the American Petroleum Institute (API) and EnerGeo Alliance said in a joint statement.

Rosas: Texas Put Up River Barriers to Stop Illegal Immigration. DOJ Wants Them Removed.

The state of Texas has installed barriers in the Rio Grande in areas where illegal crossings continue to be a major issue, particularly around the city of Eagle Pass. The water barriers are the latest attempt by Texas to deter illegal crossings while the Biden administration has done little to deter people beyond funneling people through the CBP One app. The Department of Justice sent a letter to Governor Greg Abbott demanding the removal of the river barriers. If they are not removed, then the DOJ will take legal action. “We write to inform you … that the United States intends to file legal action in relation to the State of Texas’s unlawful construction of a floating barrier in the Rio Grande River,” the Justice Department said in a letter sent to Abbott’s office on Thursday. The department gave the state until 1 p.m. Central on Monday to avoid legal action by responding with a commitment to remove the barrier. [UPDATE: Gov. Abbott vows not to comply with the DOJ.]

The other buyer is Kevin Morris, the Los Angeles attorney who has reportedly lent Hunter at least $2 million for his back taxes, child support, and living expenses for his lavish home in Los Angeles. The New York Times reported that Morris, who is open about owning the art, received several paintings as a gift.

Well-funded and organized with microphones, drums, horns, and people carrying large Israeli flags that were given out earlier in the day, these two or three hundred people created terror and chaos.
