Fox is told that Archer is expected to appear this time – even though he ducked the committee three times before and is under subpoena. Moreover, one senior Republican close to the investigation says the DOJ tried “an intimidation tactic” Saturday, asking a judge to set a date for Archer to report to begin serving jail time – Archer was found guilty of defrauding Native American tribes in 2022. Fox is told investigators intend to ask Archer about previously undisclosed bank records and the purpose of those transactions. In particular, the committee wants to know what role if any President Biden had in those transactions.

Imagine if Gavin Newsom was currently Vice President amid the final meltdown of the Biden family consortium. Does anyone doubt that Biden would then either be forced to resign by Democratic politicos (for reasons in addition to his escalating dementia), or would be impeached and perhaps abdicate Nixon-style? The presence of the now predictable mediocrity of Kamala Harris and the impossibility, given her race and gender, of removing her, for now is about all that keeps a cognitively declining Biden still in office. The Left fears what she could do as president to the Democratic Party; conservatives are terrified of what she could do to the country. Joe Biden’s bewilderment exempts his embarrassments from accountability in the way that Hunter Biden’s addictions excuse his past serial criminality. But the passes granted to both father and son would be now unsustainable with a viable Vice President in waiting.

The study, which is due to be published in the highly accredited open-access journal of the Heart Failure Association of the European Society of Cardiology, aimed to identify the incidence rate and symptoms of myocardial injury – inflammation of the heart muscle – after mRNA booster vaccinations. The study found that myocardial vaccine-associated injury was “much more common than previously thought,” occurring in one out of every 35 people – around 2.8 percent. Greene: Supreme Court Justice Jackson’s second error reveals another industry gone woke

Supreme Court Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson’s defense of racial discrimination is falling apart. It’s now well known that Jackson repeated an embarrassing falsehood while defending affirmative action in college admissions. In her Students for Fair Admissions dissent, she asserted that matching Black physicians with Black patients doubles survival rates for newborns, a claim that’s equally unbelievable and factually unsupported. But this is not the only mistake Jackson made. Her second error shows the diversity-industrial complex’s deep corruption of medicine – and its threat to Americans’ health. Jackson wrote, “research shows that Black physicians are more likely to accurately assess Black patients’ pain tolerance and treat them accordingly,” for instance, . . . The AAMC brief refers to four studies in support of this claim. […] The AAMC either failed to read the research or deliberately created this claim out of whole cloth.

It’s unfortunate that Jackson and her elite-trained clerks were led astray by yet another falsehood. But it’s unconscionable that the Association of American Medical Colleges got the facts so wrong in such a high-stakes case. Most concerning of all, it’s unsurprising for this once prestigious yet still powerful organization.

Onge: Redefining Death Would Pull The Plug On Brain-Damaged Patients

Revising standards to suit the needs of medical professionals rather than patients will result in the premature deaths of many living people. […] . . . “brain death” is not a medical designation, but a legal one. To bridge the gap between medical discrepancies, the Uniform Law Commission is considering an updated version of the Uniform Determination of Death Act (UDDA) — the RUDDA — which it hopes will align U.S. standards with those of other nations. These standards are also meant to be adopted across state lines, bringing all states in accord regarding what constitutes legal, neurological death. […] In other cases, patients who have been declared “brain dead” have awoken from comas days before organ harvesting was to occur, or even in the operating room as organ procurement was about to begin. In these cases, medical consensus claims that common protocols to determine brain death were not followed, resulting in mistakes. This discrepancy could be due to the UDDA being a federally created legal parameter for death, which differs from one state to the next and across international borders. These discrepancies support the perception that a designation of “brain death” is arbitrary: If a doctor in New Jersey says a person is alive, but a doctor in California says the same person is dead, who is correct? And why should we trust medical professionals with something this important when they can’t even trust one another? The authors of the new RUDDA standards have proposed the following reasons for the changes: . . . […]

In other words: The authors of this revision are suggesting physicians should be able to override parents’ desires for medical care, ration treatment and hospital beds (a gift to insurance companies), and end people’s lives more quickly to increase the supply of organs for donation. Andersen: We Can Save A Woman’s Life Without Ending Her Unborn Child’s

A recent report reveals there were more than 32,000 fewer abortions in the six months following the overturning of Roe v. Wade when compared to the average number of abortions performed in the months before the decision. Despite these many lives saved, pro-abortion activists say we need legalized abortion to save the lives of women. Is abortion needed to save the lives of women? The data says no. Even back in 2013, a study to determine “why women seek abortion in the US” found that only 12 percent of women cited “health-related reasons” for their decision to abort. These “reasons,” though, could be anything from back pain to mental health concerns — many times a far cry from “medically necessary.” In fact, this study found that the “most frequently mentioned theme” mothers referenced for ending the lives of their unborn children was related to finances. The reality is that women don’t require abortion to save their lives. As of January 2023, the Charlotte Lozier Institute found that only 0.2 percent of abortions occurred due to “risk to the woman’s life or a major bodily function” (emphasis mine).

Citizen journalist Travis of Flint, Michigan wrote, “just days after his personal chef and friend died in a very mysterious paddle boarding accident, Barack Obama appears to have injured fingers and a black eye. We still don’t know who the other person was and Obama loves paddle boarding. I think we can all guess what happened at this point!” […] The reason for the tragic death of Tafari Campbell remains a mystery. The Gateway Pundit previously reported that Martha’s Vineyard law enforcement appears to have left a significant void in the details surrounding the tragic drowning of Obama’s private chef, Tafari Campbell.

The call log of the 911 distress call, received on the night of the accident, conspicuously omits the reason for the call. Tafari Campbell, 45, met his tragic end while paddle boarding on Great Edgartown Pond, Martha’s Vineyard, on Sunday night. He was reportedly not alone, but local police have yet to disclose the other person’s identity. […] Oddly, the call log shows the reason for this call as BLANK – an inconsistency, considering that all other calls made that night had their reasons clearly mentioned.

Hinderaker: SOMETHING TO SEE HERE?

Probably not. But the facts that have come out about the drowning death of the Obamas’ private chef, Tafari Campbell, are distinctly odd. […] As I say, curious. Why would a person reporting an emergency not dial 911, but rather look up the number for the sheriff’s department? Possibly the caller knew that a 911 call would automatically record the source of the call. Or perhaps the caller knew that all 911 calls are taped. Or there might be some other explanation, or the police chief’s speculation could be wrong. […] I don’t mean to suggest anything particularly sinister. There is zero reason to think Campbell’s death was due to anything except natural causes. But the police department’s silence as to who his companion was, and as to what woman reported the incident and then was in a boat looking for the chef, is certainly striking. And the authorities on Martha’s Vineyard have a history of accommodating famous Democratic politicians. Maybe more will come out about this story; and then again, maybe not.

[…] Here’s the statement the Bidens provided the media: . . . […] That statement may have smoothed things over for Legacy Media and other Democrats, but Turley was livid in an opinion column for Fox News. “Even for those of us who merely followed this saga from the beginning, the statement was maddening and frankly insulting,” Turley wrote. “It suggested that there was some reason, until now, that prevented the Bidens from acknowledging the existence of their fifth granddaughter. That is false.”

Folkman: Italy intends to leave China’s Belt and Road Initiative, defense minister says

Italy intends to leave the Chinese Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) “without doing damage” to its relationship with Beijing, Italian Defense Minister Guido Crosetto said. “The issue today is: how to walk back [from the BRI] without damaging relations” with Beijing, Crosetto said in an interview with Corriere della Sera. “Because it is true that China is a competitor, but it is also a partner.” In May, Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni said the country could enjoy good relations with China even without being part of Beijing’s controversial infrastructure initiative. Crosetto’s comments are the first confirmation of Italy’s intention to leave the Chinese program.

Tawill: Palestinian ‘Unity’ To Destroy Israel

Recently, the [Hamas] movement claimed responsibility for a number of terror attacks targeting Jewish soldiers and civilians in the West Bank. Hamas, in addition, continues to call on Palestinians to step up terror attacks with the declared intention of liberating all of “Palestine,” from the Jordan River to the Mediterranean Sea, and replacing Israel with an Iranian-backed terror state.
The Biden administration and the European Union did not condemn Abbas for meeting with the leader of a movement designated by the Americans, Europeans and other countries as a terrorist organization.
The Biden Administration and the Europeans are also likely to continue providing financial aid to the Palestinians without asking Abbas about his repeated attempts to forge an alliance with the same Hamas terrorists who murder Jews and openly call for the elimination of Israel. The Biden Administration and the Europeans apparently have no problem with Abbas preferring to meet with the leader of a terrorist group, Hamas, than with the prime minister of Israel.
Needless to say, the term “comprehensive resistance” is a euphemism for terrorism.
