(8/1/23) Trump indicted in federal election probe on four counts

This is Trump’s second federal indictment, and third total. Trump, along with two of his employees, were charged in another probe led by Smith over the alleged mishandling of classified documents. Trump pleaded not guilty to all 37 charges in that case, but several more charges were brought against him last week. Separately, Trump pleaded not guilty to 34 state charges in Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg’s probe of the former president’s alleged role in a hush-money scheme. Trump faces another possible indictment related to the 2020 race in Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis’ probe of his efforts to challenge the election results in Georgia. That potential indictment would come after several failed attempts to block Willis from prosecuting him.

The absence of a criminal charge (ie. seditious conspiracy or insurrection) when contrast against the extreme verbal emphasis of the event as outlined by Smith in the presser, will be missed by most. Speaking of the non-criminal event as the context for a fabricated/stretched criminal allegation, is Lawfare in action. Why emphasize but not charge? Because the DOJ/FBI does not want the risk of litigated discovery and evidence of coordinated government activity therein, that’s why.

Nichols: Indictment describes a cast of six Trump helpers

None of the six has been indicted by special counsel Jack Smith, but they are all on notice that they face potential criminal liability.

By not identifying or charging them, Smith left open the possibility that they could decide to testify against Trump in exchange for lenient treatment for any legal jeopardy they could face. Trump has long expressed his disdain for “flippers”; now he has reason to fear them.

The most sinister part of the Goals is that in the case of hunger, the mass populations will starve while the ones in power will feast. Take a look below at what the SDGs tell us the targets are versus what the agenda really is. Let’s imagine, for a moment, that starving us is not the UN’s ultimate aim. Take point #1 as an example, dealing with China. Here’s the policy:

Hughes made it clear that this was to be a permanent ban. Why was I banned? For questioning the ACS’s rush to embrace critical race theory.

Mac Ghlionn: How to Save the Boys of America

Single-sex schools could help boys’ classroom struggles. rom an academic perspective, girls are wiping the floor with boys. Girls tend to do considerably better in languages, math, and science. This is true not just in the U.S. Girls’ dominance in the classroom can be seen in Australia, the U.K., and Canada, as well as in dozens of other advanced countries. According to Richard Reeves, the author of Why the Modern Male is Struggling, “Girls are about a year ahead of boys in terms of reading ability in OECD nations (the U.S. included). Boys are 50 percent more likely than girls to fail at all three key school subjects: maths, reading, and science.” Why is this the case? My suggestion, backed up by peer-reviewed studies, is that the demise of boys’ academic achievements is closely linked with the demise of same-sex schooling. After all, contrary to the trans-friendly narrative, as well as decades of feminist discourse and propaganda, males and females are not the same. They possess very different brains. Men and women, quite literally, see the world and process information differently. Because of these differences, males and females have very different learning styles. Boys show greater activation in the areas of the brain dedicated to visuo-spatial strengths, whereas girls are, on average, better at verbal-emotive processing. This difference in learning styles perhaps explains why so many boys in co-ed environments are misdiagnosed with both learning disabilities and attention-deficit issues. As the psychotherapist Andrea Schneider has noted, boys are “hardwired to be single-task focused” unlike girls, who tend to be considerably better at switching between multiple tasks.

Letts: Unraveling the mysterious dual deaths of presidential chefs

For those privileged to serve in the presidential kitchens, trust and discretion are paramount. These chefs not only prepare meals but also become silent witnesses to the inner workings of the highest office in the land. But what happens when those trusted individuals meet untimely ends under mysterious circumstances? […] As a policeman, I cannot overlook the uncomfortable reality that both chefs drowned under circumstances that invite speculation. And while we should be wary of unverified conspiracy theories, we must also scrutinize the timing of these incidents. Scheib’s death occurred following Obama’s second term, while Campbell’s demise comes amidst talk of a potential Biden impeachment and significant investigations relating to both the Obama and Biden administrations. Is this merely an uncanny coincidence, or is there more to these narratives that we’re yet to uncover? There’s no denying that these deaths are tragedies on a personal level. But the political significance of these events, and the questions they raise, are too conspicuous to ignore. Is it merely happenstance that both chefs died under similar circumstances? Could their former roles, which placed them at the heart of American political power, have unintentionally put them in harm’s way? As of now, these questions remain unanswered.

Welsch: UK Banks Close 1,000+ Accounts Per Day.

Banks in the United Kingdom are closing more than one thousand private and business accounts every day, according to data obtained by a freedom of information request, which revealed the increasing regularity of the measure against both politically exposed persons (PEPs) and ordinary members of the public.

The total number of account closures exceeded 343,000 in 2022 alone, representing an enormous increase in the use of the measure compared to 2016-17, during which around 45,000 accounts were shuttered. Worse yet, banks often fail to explain why they are closing an account. Instead, they merely inform customers that the account has either closed or will close in the coming months.
