FREEDOM ISN’T FREE: VETERAN’S DAY IS SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 11, 2023
Hazard: Country star John Rich pays tribute to WW2 vets in new song, saying they’re why America exists
For the music video, Rich had veterans from the Korean War, World War II, Vietnam and the Gulf War featured where they held up pictures of themselves when they first enlisted. “We have a 102-year-old man holding a picture of himself at 19 when he enlisted,” Rich said. “Having all these guys meet each other was absolutely phenomenal.” […] “Back in the forties, people were willing to do anything to save the country,” Rich said. “Even though there was disagreement and arguments back then, everyone agreed to serve when it came to standing up to the U.S.”
He added that most young people between ages of 18 and 25 don’t have an appreciation for the U.S. and it would likely take hard times for them to recognize how great America really is.

Jake Damec is a veteran of the Afghan War, graduate of Hillsdale College, member of the Lutheran Church Missouri-Synod and contributor to The Federalist: If you truly seek a way to honor those who quietly carry scarred souls and heavy-laden minds for America, simply live a good life, a life of love in service of your neighbor. The thousands of men like me who quietly go about our days carrying joyful memories and painful scars, memories of unbreakable brotherly love and sacrifice, scars of hate, scars of violence, and scars of suffering, are not the heroes who deserve your gratitude. Men like me are not heroes, we are the lucky ones, the fortunate ones, the survivors. . . . If you sincerely wish to honor men like me, then live a life worthy of the great price paid on your behalf. Strive each day in forming a more perfect union through your daily vocations, aiming for excellence in all you do; from reading one more bedtime story to your children to caring for the elderly widow next door, instructing your children, and their children to do the same.
Capt. James R. Poplar, III, USN (ret.). contributor to American Thinker: On Veterans’ Day please thank a veteran for his service, and do not be surprised if he responds: “Thank you, you were worth it,” because at the end of the day, that is what it is all about — one’s selfless service to preserve your individual freedom and liberty.
Paul Sperry investigative journalist for Real Clear Investigations: “The seeds for 9/11 were planted in 1948,” according to a draft of a “Proposed Muslim Platform” found at CAIR’s headquarters. “A resolution of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict needs to be based on recognizing and correcting the harm that was done to the Palestinians since 1948,” when the United Nations partitioned land for Israel. Guandolo said Hamas proved just how dangerous it is on Oct. 7. He warned that the terrorist group has already penetrated American society, and CAIR is the tip of the spear. “Currently, CAIR is directing efforts at the ground level across the United States with organizations known for violent extremism,” he added in a recent interview with RealClearInvestigations. “Again, the FBI is doing nothing to adhere to their oaths of office and protect the American people.”
Ben Armstrong contributor to The New American: Republicans lose elections to people who brag about killing babies. What does this mean for America?
Edward Rothstein contributor to Tablet Magazine: What has been made clear over the past month is that under current ideological conditions, anything done to the Jews in Israel would be justified. Anything. And that something very close to nothing would be tolerated in response. The root-cause doctrine reigns supreme. And what is that root cause for Hamas? The existence of Jews and their state.
Marilyn Stern contributor to Middle East Forum: The Jewish state has every right, in the same way the allies did at the end of World War II, to conduct its own war crimes trials holding Hamas accountable for its atrocities and bearing witness to the world. “Israel will mete out justice either at the end of a sword or in a courtroom.” Only it will decide which is the more effective punishment.
Rabbi Steven Pruzansky contributor to Israel National News: It sounds strange to our modern ears that our father Avraham, in trying to understand G-d’s justice in destroying the city of Sodom, failed to ask the most important question: “surely there are innocent civilians in Sodom, women and children? How can You kill the innocent along with the guilty?” Instead, Avraham focused on the existence and number of righteous people in Sodom and stopped his inquiries when even ten righteous men could not be found. The absence of righteous people defines a city and its moral worth far more than do disingenuous assertions about the presence of “innocent civilians,” whose innocence is assumed but far from proven.

Hutchison: ‘The First Amendment Is Done’: Tucker Sits Down With Internet Troll Convicted For 2016 Election Meme
Douglass Mackey spoke with Tucker Carlson prior to the start of his prison sentence over posting memes in an episode released Thursday. A federal jury convicted Mackey for conspiring to deprive people of their right to vote over a meme he posted during the 2016 election in April. Mackey, who went by @RickyVaughn99 on Twitter, received a seven-month prison sentence Oct. 18. “The First Amendment is done,” Carlson, a co-founder of the Daily Caller and Daily Caller News Foundation, posted on X.

Arnold: Biden’s New Radical Policy Forces Federal Workers to Salute to the Rainbow Flag
The Biden Administration is taking woke to a whole new level with its new “gender pronoun” mandate. On Thursday, the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) announced a new rule that will force all employees to comply with the chosen gender pronouns of people despite their biological sex.
According to a Heritage Foundation expert and former HHS official, the new Biden mandate infringes upon employee rights and will result in workers being fired for “misgendering.” Speaking to Fox News Digital, Roger Severino, the Heritage Foundation’s vice president for domestic policy and the former head of civil rights at HHS during the Trump administration, said that the “federal government is requiring its employees to speak falsehoods.”
Greenfield: David Horowitz Freedom Center’s Censorship Talk Gets Censored
Last year, the Babylon Bee was censored for naming Rachel Levine its ‘Man of the Year’. Now, the David Horowitz Freedom Center has been banned over a speech about that joke. On Friday afternoon, Seth Dillon, the gregarious leader of the Babylon Bee, took the floor to tell attendees at the Center’s Restoration Weekend about his fight against censorship. When USA Today named Rick ‘Rachel’ Levine, a transgender Biden administration official, as one of its ‘Women of the Year’, the Babylon Bee responded by naming him its ‘Man of the Year’. And Twitter locked the Bee’s account for “hateful conduct” for telling the obvious truth. That Orwellian act of censorship was described as one of the most “consequential” moments in the anti-woke struggle against Big Tech and helped lead to Elon Musk’s takeover of Twitter. Dillon was talking about the past, but while we sat in a New Orleans ballroom little did we know that history was about to repeat itself sooner than anyone expected.

(Pumpkins next on the cancel list) Unruh: CNN warns how Halloween decorations threaten earth’s future
A new report from CNN is explaining how the lowly Halloween pumpkin-turned-jack-o’-lantern is a major threat to the future of the world. After all, it has the ability to take water during its growing cycle, take it on a trip to a landfill, and there it disappears FOREVER. And don’t even think about the methane gas they produce in those landfills, causing global warming. […] The report explains those innocuous Halloween pumpkins could be an “environmental nightmare.”
Kent: New York Gives Up on Electric Snow Plows: ‘Insufficient for the Demands of Winter’
New York is staying with traditional diesel-powered snow plows after rejecting electric vehicles proposed as a replacement. Just over three years ago the New York Department of Sanitation sought several Mack electric trucks to be set up for double duty as part of a goal to become CO2-neutral. New York differs from many cities in that its garbage trucks double as snow removal vehicles when and if required. Primarily intended to clean streets and remove garbage, one of these Mack trucks had been fitted with a snow plow as part of an experiment. Essanews reports the move has been a failure. The reason was given as a simple lack of power: . . . […] The report further detailed that after nearly two hours, the electric plow had to discontinue the route for recharging.
Varney: The Biden Administration Misleads the Public on the Vast Expanses of Land Needed for ‘Net Zero’
The Biden administration is misleading the country about the amount of land that will be required to meet its ambitious renewable energy goals, RealClearInvestigations has found. The Department of Energy’s official line – echoed by many environmental activists and academics – is that the vast array of solar panels and wind turbines required to meet Biden’s goal of “100% clean electricity” by 2035 will require “less than one-half of one percent of the contiguous U.S. land area.” This topline number translates into 15,000 of the lower 48’s roughly 3 million square miles. However, the government report that furnished those estimates also notes that the wind farm footprint alone could require an expanse nine times as large: 134,000 square miles.

THE FIGHT FOR ELECTION INTEGRITY
Becker: Trouble in Fulton County? High-Powered Defense Attorneys Move to Withdraw Amid Questions About 2020 Ballots
There’s trouble in Fulton County, Georgia as two high-powered criminal defense attorneys have suddenly filed a motion to withdraw from a 2020 election case. Criminal Defense Attorneys Donald F. Samuel and Amanda R. Clark Palmer have motioned to withdraw themselves from the Favorito v. Wan case, according to the motion. […] “These 150,000 still secret 2020 unfolded mail ballots with the perfect ovals protected by court order for 3 years may have gone missing, and the county’s lawyers have just quit,” Rasmussen posted on X.
Mittlestadt: Election problems persist … this time in Kentucky, Mississippi, Pennsylvania and Texas
Several states had statewide, local, and/or municipal elections on Tuesday, including Kentucky, Mississippi, Pennsylvania, and Texas. The first two states had gubernatorial elections, while the last two had local and statewide ballot questions or judicial races. Because these were off-year elections, turnout was lower than either midterm or presidential elections, as local news outlets reported. During the larger turnout in both the 2020 presidential and 2022 midterm elections, counties in various states experienced numerous irregularities that led to a plethora of lawsuits. Now, just a year out from the 2024 presidential general election and only months away from state primary elections, several jurisdictions still have problems running polling locations smoothly. Kentucky: In Louisville, 17 polling districts experienced issues with their electronic poll books, in which voters sign in to cast their ballots, reported local CBS News affiliate WLKY. As a result, the districts resorted to using paper rosters to sign in voters. Several precincts in Jefferson County were ordered by the local circuit court to extend their voting hours by a half an hour, until 6:30 p.m. EST, because those polls were closed for half an hour in the morning, reported WLKY. Some of the precincts closed because of a potential gas leak, while others closed as a result of a police pursuit in the area. Mississippi: . ..
CHINA: AMERICA’S MORTAL ENEMY
Robinson: Triad Weed: How Chinese Marijuana Grows Took Over Rural Maine
Illegal Chinese marijuana grows have taken over much of rural Maine. The government is either incapable — or unwilling — to do anything about it. The Maine Wire has identified more than 100 properties that are part of a sprawling network of Chinese-owned sites operating as unlicensed, illicit cannabis growing operations in rural Maine. According to an unclassified memo from the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) obtained by the Maine Wire, the illicit grows are operated by Asian Transnational Criminal Organizations (TCOs). […] According to the DHS memos, the sites are operated by Chinese foreign nationals, some who are in the U.S. illegally. DHS believes the network earns an estimated total income of $4.37 billion per year, some of which is returned to entities in the People’s Republic of China. [NOTE: In a 11/9 article Robinson wrote that the Maine Legislature will consider a bill next year that aims to address the proliferation of illegal Chinese-owned marijuana growing operations across rural Maine. The Legislative Council, which is comprised to top ranking state lawmakers, voted by a slim margin to allow a bill from Rep. John Andrews (R-Paris) to be considered when the legislature reconvenes in January.]
BIDEN/HARRIS/OBAMA’S AMERICA LAST REGIME: THE FUNDAMENTAL TRANSFORMATION OF FOREIGN POLICY
Bassam & Perry: Hezbollah’s anti-ship missiles bolster its threat to US navy
Powerful Russian anti-ship missiles acquired by Hezbollah give it the means to deliver on its leader’s veiled threat against U.S. warships and underline the grave risks of any regional war, sources familiar with the group’s arsenal say. Hezbollah leader Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah warned Washington last week his group had something in store for the U.S. vessels deployed to the region since war erupted last month between the Palestinian group Hamas and Israel, shaking the wider Middle East. Two sources in Lebanon familiar with the Iran-backed group’s arsenal say he was referring to Hezbollah’s greatly enhanced anti-ship missile capabilities, including the Russian-made Yakhont missile with a range of 300 km (186 miles). […] Nasrallah on Friday warned Washington that preventing a regional war depended on halting the Israeli assault. Hezbollah has been trading fire with Israeli forces at the Lebanese border since Oct. 8. That marks the most serious escalation there since the 2006 war. But Hezbollah has so far used only a fraction of its arsenal and the violence has mostly been contained to the border area. Other Iran-aligned groups such as Yemen’s Houthis have also fired drones towards Israel while Iran-backed Shi’ite Muslim militias have fired at U.S. forces in Iraq and Syria.
VDH: Squeezing the World’s Vulnerable Peoples
Continued existence of small and vulnerable countries hinge on Western alliances and support. he population of Israel is about 10 million. This represents about half of the world’s Jewish people. The founding idea of modern Israel was to offer a sanctuary for Jews in their biblical home in the Middle East, in the aftermath of Nazi Germany’s mass murder of 6 million Jews. Yet currently, 78 years after the Holocaust, anti-Israel protestors throughout the Middle East, the great cities of the Western world, and iconic American universities chant death threats and “Palestine will be free from the river to the sea.” Their signature slogan is shorthand for the erasure of the Jewish state and everyone in it. There would currently be zero chance that Jews could live peaceably under any current Middle Eastern government. In the postwar era, nearly a million Jews were persecuted, ethnically cleansed, and forcibly expelled from all the major Arab countries— Algeria, Egypt, Iraq, Libya, Morocco, Syria, and Yemen—despite hundreds of years of residence.

Sperry: Hamas Ally CAIR Has Been Operating With Impunity Inside America for 30 Years
After Hamas massacred 1,400 men, women and children in Israel last month, FBI Director Christopher Wray warned that the terror group “and its allies” could inspire attacks on Americans “here on our own soil.” He also told the Senate that the FBI is conducting “multiple, ongoing investigations” into people affiliated with the U.S.-designated terrorist group. What Wray didn’t say is that the FBI has been investigating Hamas’ biggest ally in America for the past 30 years – without seeking any charges. Launched in 1994 as a secret front organization to support Hamas, according to declassified FBI wiretap transcripts and FBI testimony, the Council on American-Islamic Relations has, in the decades since, become an accepted member of Washington’s lobbying community. The New York Times and other influential newspapers routinely describe CAIR as a “Muslim civil rights and advocacy organization.” Although it has not repudiated its support for Hamas – which is committed to the destruction of Israel and the Jewish people – CAIR was enlisted by the Biden administration in May to take part in a White House initiative to fight antisemitism. […] While CAIR is now a mainstay of American politics – headquartered just three blocks from the U.S. Capitol, with 35 offices across the country – its history reveals its close connections with terror groups such as . . .

Fleitz: Hamas Terrorist Attack Drove the Left’s Growing Antisemitism Into the Open
The recent huge anti-Israel and anti-Semitic demonstrations in several U.S. cities and on college campuses, as well as harassment and threats against Jewish Americans, surprised many Americans and the mainstream media. But the truth is, if you were unaware of the rise in anti-Semitism and hostility toward the State of Israel from some segments of American society in recent years – especially on the Left – you either have not been paying attention or have been looking the other way. FBI Director Christopher Wray recently testified to Congress that Jews make up 2.4% of the U.S. population but have been the targets of 60% of religiously based hate crimes. But this figure was from before the outbreak of anti-Semitism in the U.S. after the October 7 Hamas terrorist attack on Israel . . . […] The recent pro-Hamas and anti-Israel protests in American cities and on college campuses are the result of this leftist-Islamist alliance and their years of work to promote a false narrative of Palestinians as the victims of Israeli oppression. Many of the college students who recently signed letters blaming Israel for the atrocities committed by Hamas are mindless ignoramuses who don’t know where Gaza is and can’t spell the word “Israel.” […] There also have been signs of growing anti-Semitism and hostility to Israel within the Democratic Party in recent years. For example, . . .
THE WAR IN ISRAEL
The Foreign Desk: Netanyahu Slams AP, Reuters, CNN Over Reporters’ Questionable Coverage of Hamas on Oct. 7
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s office is demanding answers from The Associated Press, Reuters, CNN and The New York Times after their photographers reportedly documented Hamas’ invasion of Israel on Oct. 7, bringing serious ethical questions. “These journalists were accomplices in crimes against humanity; their actions were contrary to professional ethics,” the prime minister’s office said Thursday. […] CNN told Israeli outlet YNet that it has already cut ties with Eslaiah, who photographed himself standing in front of an Israeli tank on Oct. 7 without a press vest or helmet. Honest Reporting also published a photograph of Eslaiah being kissed by Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar.
(AP knew about Eslaiah’s ties to Hamas: 5 years ago, @CAMERAorg sent a senior @AP editor evidence that Hassan Eslaiah “openly identifies with Hamas’ political platform and is a rabid anti-Semite who praises terrorists and expresses joy over the murder of innocent and unarmed Israelis.” https://www.frontpagemag.com/ap-was-warned-in-2018-about-its-hamas-journalist/]
Franklin: ‘The Elephant in the Room’: The Real Source of Jew-Hatred in the Middle East
- For [many Muslims], the Koran, every word of it, is the dictated word of Allah (God) as told by the Angel Jibril (Gabriel) to Allah’s prophet Muhammad….
- Ten years ago, U.S. soldiers being deployed to the Middle East who flew to Qatar or Kuwait on the United Arab Emirates airline, before the UAE’s supreme leadership in spearheading the Abraham Accords, reported that on maps in flight brochures, a country named Israel did not exist. Many seem to be working now to make that a reality, not just on a map.
Rabi Pruzansky: Lessons of Sodom
The absence of righteous people defines a city ‘s moral worth far more than disingenuous assertions about its “innocent civilians.” […] Is there even one Gazan who has been interviewed by the international media and (with face disguised and voice distorted to conceal his/her identity) protested and condemned Hamas’ invasion and rampage across southern Israel? Is there even one Gazan who objected to the kidnapping and seizure of two Israeli civilians who wondered into Gaza in the last decade and received even worse than the traditional Sodom treatment for guests? Are there any Gazans who have remonstrated against Hamas’ retention of the bodies of Hadar Goldin and Oron Shaul for almost ten years? Are there any Gazans who tried to thwart Hamas’ gory incursion into Israel? The planning and execution alone involved tens of thousands of people. Did anyone object? Is there one righteous person who could justify Gaza’s continued existence?
Coughlin: Ceasefires Will Only Hinder Getting the Hostages Released
- [Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu] argued that the more that 240 Israelis held hostage by Hamas should be released first. Letting up the military pressure on Hamas, rather than forcing Hamas to concede, will only delay the hostages’ release by enabling the terrorists to keep moving them around and re-hiding them.
- The other important consideration the Biden administration has failed to grasp is that, by ensuring Israel achieves its goal of destroying Hamas, Washington would be sending a strong signal to hostile states such as Iran, Russia and China that any attack against the US and its allies would receive a similarly robust response.
- At the very least the Biden administration should be urgently reviewing its Iran policy and, instead of obsessing about the prospects of reviving the “nuclear deal” with Tehran… concentrating its efforts on targeting top IRGC commanders, as well as imposing tough banking sanctions against Tehran to limit its ability to fund terrorist groups such as Hamas.
Stalinsky: As Hamas Visits Its ‘Closest Friend’ Moscow, Questions Surround Russia’s Knowledge Of, Involvement In October 7 Hamas Attack: A Review Of Russia-Hamas Ties and Strategic Relationship
In the immediate aftermath of the attack, everyone, including military experts on TV, were quick to comment on its primitivity, pointing to the use of bulldozers, trucks, and motorcycles to break through the border barrier, and the use of motorized paragliders to bring in terrorists with automatic weapons as well as dune buggies. But as the initial fog of war lifted, it became clear that Hamas did not just get lucky with this attack. It had been training for it for years, including in Iran. There are also unsubstantiated reports that Hamas received training by Russian forces – or even possibly by the Wagner group. Anonymous sources were cited as saying that some Wagner members had been involved in the military training of Hamas fighters, and that a company seeking applicants for positions “in Africa and the Middle East” had offered positions to other Wagner members. Other reports suggests that some of the weapons used by Hamas on October 7 came from Russia.
Rothstein: The Root Causes of Moral Evil
It is difficult to admit that I might have been as wrong about 10/7 as I was about 9/11. The pogrom that Hamas perpetrated in Israel this October was almost immediately compared to al-Qaida’s 9/11 attacks on the World Trade Center and the Pentagon. And the comparison was well worth making. Each attack was a horrific breach of a nation’s borders and security, resulting in soul-quaking death and suffering. If anything, the Hamas attack was even more devastating, given the small size of Israel, the still-accumulating evidence of unimagined barbarity, and the fact that it was intended to be an existential act of violence, part of an attempt to destroy a state and its people. And after both 10/7 and 9/11, I reacted very similarly and, it turns out, very wrongly. I mused in The New York Times a few weeks after the al-Qaida attacks that they might lead to a serious reassessment of orthodoxies cherished by many intellectuals as well as guardians of the disciplines known as post-colonialism and postmodernism. […] But doctrines were not shaken. They were not even stirred.
Devlin: Parkinson’s patient able to walk 6km without problems after spinal implant
The first patient to receive a spinal implant to treat advanced Parkinson’s disease has described experiencing “a rebirth” after the treatment allowed him to walk again without falling over. Marc, 63, from Bordeaux, France, was diagnosed with the degenerative disease more than 20 years ago and had developed severe mobility problems, including balance impairments and freezing of gait. After receiving the implant, which aims to restore normal signalling to the leg muscles from the spine, he has been able to walk more normally and regained his independence. […] The implant is yet to be tested in a full clinical trial. But the Swiss team, who have a longstanding programme to develop brain-machine interfaces to overcome paralysis, hope that their technology could offer an entirely new approach to treating movement deficits in those with Parkinson’s disease.
Schmad: New Studies Find Marijuana Raises Risk Of Heart Disease And Stroke
Two studies presented at an American Heart Association conference on Monday found that cannabis usage was associated with increased risk of heart failure, stroke and heart attack. One of the studies observed more than 150,000 adults over the course of four years and found that individuals who said they used marijuana daily had a 34% greater chance of experiencing heart failure relative to those who didn’t report using the substance. The other study looked at people older than 65 with cardiovascular risk factors and found that individuals who used marijuana had a 20% increased risk of “a major heart or brain event while hospitalized,” compared to patients with similar risk factors who did not use cannabis. “Prior research shows links between marijuana use and cardiovascular disease like coronary artery disease, heart failure and atrial fibrillation, which is known to cause heart failure,” Dr. Yakubu Bene-Alhasan, the lead researcher on the first study, said.
Lardieri: Contraceptive pills change women’s brains and make them risk takers, study suggests
Oral birth control may alter the part of the brain responsible for emotion, anxiety and fear, possibly making women on the pill more likely to engage in unsafe behaviors. Researchers from Canada studied 139 women aged 23 to 35 years old and found those taking oral contraception had thinner regions on their frontal lobe than those who had never taken or had stopped taking OCs. This thinning is thought to impact social conduct and impulsivity, possibly leading to women on OCs having lower inhibitions, taking more risks and having less fear. The team said more research needs to be done, but their results suggest exposure to sex hormones plays a role in the structure of the nervous system.

Revolver.news: Nashville’s Diversity-Obsessed Black Police Chief Hid Trans Shooter’s Anti-White Manifesto
Nashville’s black police chief John Drake’s mission since taking office three years ago has been to make the force more “diverse” and compliant with the Left’s police agenda. There could very well have been national pressure from Merrick Garland to suppress the manifesto, for reasons that may become clear in the near future. But a critical look at the Nashville Police Department reveals that suppressing the anti-white manifesto would have fit right into the mission at a local level. […] When he got the job in late 2020, he told local media that his top priority was increasing diversity. He soon created a “chief diversity officer” and kicked white males out of leadership roles. […] Drake imposed drastic changes on the department to reach his diversity goals. This included lowering standards and other policies that would decrease police effectiveness. […] It’s no surprise that Chief Drake didn’t want the public to see the manifesto. It tarnishes his worldview, showing that the diversity obsession can lead to mass murder.
Sapir & Figliolia: Medicine with a “Transgender Bias”
Fenway Community Health Center in Boston, the largest provider of transgender medicine in New England and one of the leading institutions of its kind in the United States, was named a defendant in a lawsuit filed last month. The plaintiff, a gay man who goes by the alias Shape Shifter, argues that by approving him for hormones and surgeries, Fenway Health subjected him to “gay conversion” practices, in violation of his civil rights. Carlan v. Fenway Community Health Center is the first lawsuit in the United States to argue that “gender-affirming care” can be a form of anti-gay discrimination. The case underscores an important clinical reality: gender dysphoria has multiple developmental pathways, and many who experience it will turn out to be gay. Even the Endocrine Society concedes that many of the youth who outgrow their dysphoria by adolescence later identify as gay or bisexual. Decades of research confirm as much. […] Rather than state a straightforward claim of medical malpractice or fraud, they allege that Fenway Health has violated Section 1557 of the Affordable Care Act (ACA), which bans discrimination “on the basis of sex” in health care. In 2020, the Supreme Court ruled in Bostock v. Clayton County that “discrimination because of . . . sex” includes discrimination based on homosexuality. Citing this and other precedents, Shape’s lawyers argue that federal law affords distinct protections to gay men and lesbians—upon which clinics that operate with a transgender bias are trampling.
Starnes: School Dumps Veteran’s Day for ‘Peace Assembly’
In past years, Benjamin Rush Elementary held a lovely Veteran’s Day assembly. It featured choral performances of “It’s a Grand Old Flag,” “This Land is Your Land” and the Star-Spangled Banner But our good friend Jason Rantz, of radio station KTTH, reports this year’s ceremony was unceremoniously dumped by administrators. […] “The school ditched the patriotic songs for those centered around the assembly’s theme of Tolerance, Acceptance and Kindness,” Rantz reported. Some of the songs to be performed, he said, include “Live in Peace,” “Peacebuilder Pledge Song,” “Amani Utupe Na Ustawi” and “Namaste.” It’s a bunch of United Nations hippy-dippy, mumbo jumbo.

Pollak: WATCH: Brawl Outside ‘Museum of Tolerance’ as Anti-Israel Activists Protest Gal Gadot Showing Film of Hamas Atrocities
Breitbart News was among the first outlets in the world to see the film, a 43-minute compilation of footage recorded by Hamas on GoPros and mobile phones, as well as by victims of the attack on dashboard cameras, surveillance cameras, and their own phones. As this author later recounted, it was ““the worst thing I’ve ever seen in my life,” and “one of the most brutal attacks on civilians that the Western world has ever seen.” Gadot, who is Israeli, held a screening for a select group of Hollywood colleagues, because she wanted to drive home the reality of what happened. But pro-Palestinian activists objected — as they have objected to the posters of Israeli hostages taken by Hamas, and any other evidence of Jewish or Israeli victimhood.
