Victor Davis Hanson contributor to American Greatness: What is saving the country, for now, is not the third of Americans who have bachelor’s degrees, given the university has become a woke deductive, anti-empirical, anti-Enlightenment institution. For now, the more practical two-thirds of the population who did not graduate, and either never experienced the academic mind or got out quickly after they did, are our rear guard at Thermopylae. I concede, with the sadness of a former believer in higher education, that an entire institution has failed its pledge to the Enlightenment and we are back 2,700 years to Hesiod’s warning that with material progress comes moral regress.

Glenn Arbery President of Wyoming Catholic College and contributor to The Imaginative Conservative: Once mastered, cursive enables us to write rapidly without lifting the pen from the paper—a skill that has major advantages over printing. Cursive now stumps many college students today. Whether it can ever make a comeback seems to be an issue.

Michael McConnell a former federal judge who sits on Facebook’s oversight board: “We gave them a certain amount of time to get their house in order. They needed some time because their rules are a shambles. They are not transparent. They are unclear. They are internally inconsistent.”

Michelle Obama former First Lady, on Friday, underscored the false Democrat Party police narrative: “ . . . many of us still live in fear as we go to the grocery store, or walking our dogs, or allowing our children to get a license.”

Senator Kelly Townsend (R-AZ): I think if you ask a class of 5th graders, if someone was trying to stop an audit from happening, the harder they fought to stop an audit, what do you think they’re doing? Are you trying to keep them from seeing something? And you know what their answers going to be… Everyone with a thinking mind knows that you don’t try to hide and stop and audit with the fervency we’ve seen if there’s nothing to hide. Which just strengthens our resolve all the more… Just their actions show that there’s a problem and we need to find what it is!

Jeremy Carl contributor to American Greatness: The real scandal isn’t that Liz Cheney is no longer going to be a member of the Republican leadership. It’s that a mediocre veteran of one House term who was far out of step with her party’s voters ever got there in the first place. And that’s something for which McCarthy has to answer.

Mark Landsbaum contributor to American Thinker: If a baby can be redefined out of existence, it explains how easily these word sorcerers can make a man become a woman, simply by rewriting the dictionary.

David Horowitz editor of Frontpage Magazine: Trump derangement is a crippling mental disorder. It turns otherwise capable minds into Munchausen fabulators, so detached from reality that it’s hard to know what world they think they’re in. It leads to accusations like this: “[Trump was] AWOL during the country’s greatest health crisis in a century.”

Drew Allen contributor to American Greatness: The mask mandates are not merely an inconvenience, but a threat to the American way of life. Religious and zealous mask-wearing represent a regressive mentality of the citizen to once again adopt their role as servant and view the government as master.

Greenfield: Pentagon, CIA Undermined Trump Efforts Against Iran
As most people have seen in the last decade with guys like Brennan, top CIA people are similar to the State Department lefties, and the Pentagon upper echelon is full of careerists who are looking for a good retirement gig lobbying or consulting for enterprises looking to deal with the enemy. And they want to avoid being associated with any military intervention that doesn’t have bipartisan and multilateral backing. Despite the formal media line, the State Department tends to be more pro-intervention than the Pentagon brass. While the Pentagon was obstructionist, as usual, the CIA was more obstructionist.
Though basically supportive of the idea of killing Soleimani, some CIA officials worried about the larger Iranian response. The CIA wasn’t “afraid of the Iranians,” but believed the killing “could create more problems than it solves,” recalled a former agency official. […] Though “basically supportive”, CIA officials were pushing the idea that this was a conspiracy to start a war with Iran. That’s an interesting definition of “basically supportive”. Meanwhile, as Biden stocks his administration full of Iran stooges, the terror state might be plotting to kill former Trump admin officials.

Gonzales: The Revolutionary Road
. . .there is the possibility of using political power to change cultural institutions. But where the Right must go now requires abandoning preconceived principles and rules of engagement, leaving its old self behind to fight a new kind of war, more akin to Leninism than the senescent republican ideology that cannot, under its own limited government terms, enter the fray properly. Rather than dismantling the National Endowment for the Humanities—which supports research, education, preservation, and public programs in the humanities—the post-Right should aim to take control of the institution to construct a cultural hegemony supportive of its political ends. Abolishing tax exemptions, subsidies, and federal contracts for academic and professional institutions that provide the ideological lifeblood of the prevailing cultural hegemony is an imperative and practical step. What’s more, it should seek to ban . . .

Neff: Maricopa County’s 2020 Election Audit Continues As Political Antics Ramp Up
The rhetoric about audit activities even prompted an unusually politicized claim by Maricopa County Sheriff Paul Penzone, a Democrat, about the risk to public safety if the Senate obtains the Election Department’s routers that have been subpoenaed. Penzone says he is worried about potential threats to public safety and to the local, state, and federal officers who protect the public. His comments simply echo similar statements put forth by other county officials who say its Election Department’s computer activity is interconnected via a router with all the Sheriff’s Office computer activity and other county departments. Such unsubstantiated claims are incredulous, according to computer experts.

Hoft: BREAKING… AZ Audit Director Ken Bennett: Dominion Refuses to Comply with Subpoena and Turn Over Password to Their Maricopa County Machines
The fact that the County does not have system administrators who have administrative access to the Dominion voting machines is a big concern. By allowing Dominion to have the administration access only, the County has basically turned over the system to the Dominion voting machine system people. There is no IT control here because that’s been ceded to Dominion.

The Sunshine State joins Georgia, Arizona, Idaho, and Louisiana, all of whom have enacted similar laws this year. Mac Donald: Diversity Over Discovery
President Joe Biden has now taken the push for “diversity” in STEM to a new level. His candidate to head the Department of Energy’s Office of Science, the largest funder of the physical sciences in the U.S., is a soil geologist at the University of California, Merced. She has no background in physics, the science of energy, or the energy sector. She has never held a position as a scientific administrator. […] As head of the Office of Science, Berhe would be asked to choose strategic directions for DOE-funded science. […] Berhe’s Soil Biogeochemistry Lab at UC Merced strives, according to its website, to “create a dynamic, diverse, and equitable STEM community that represents the public.” Scientists do not mirror the public’s demographics, however, thanks to yawning academic skills gaps. Nor is it the mission of science to be representative of population groups; its sole mission is to advance knowledge. Berhe’s lab, however, is developing and testing “sexual harassment bystander intervention training programs . . . that incorporate experiences of diverse women,” as part of a National Science Foundation consortium. Her lab recommends readings on racism and offers tips on writing the “diversity, equity, and inclusion” statements that are increasingly required of academic science hires. Expect such statements, thinly disguised euphemisms for announcing oneself as “diverse,” to become mandatory for a DOE science job or grant.

VDH: Tuning Out Wokeism
If wokeness should continue and “win,” by now we all know where it will end up. After all, this is not a prairie-fire, peasants-with-pitchforks, spontaneous bottom-up revolution. The woke Left seeks a top-down erasure of America, engineered by the likes of LeBron James from his $40 million estate talking revolution to Oprah at her $90 million castle, as Mark Zuckerberg throws in $500 million here, and his colleagues $400 million there, and as the top executives of Coke, Target, and Delta Airlines believe their $17 million-a-year salaries make them experts on the crimes of non-diversity, exclusion, and inequity. Anytime revolutionaries at the outset of their enterprises seek exemption from the consequences of their own ideology, we know their plans will end badly for everyone else. […] So Americans, conservatives especially, fear that the once-revered FBI can become analogous to the Stasi, the once indomitable CIA after 2015 began emulating the KGB, and the federal prosecutor has become a vindictive Inspector Javert. And just when you think they are crazier for such fears, another couple is rousted out of bed by agents for supposedly being at a riot they were not at, or a federal attorney is on TV, virtue signaling how the law can be warped to go after “them.”

Mainwaring: Medical journal calls for Ivermectin to be ‘globally & systematically deployed’
The American Journal of Therapeutics has published a research paper calling for ivermectin — a drug which has been maligned and suppressed as a coronavirus treatment — to be “globally & systematically deployed” as a treatment for COVID-19. This comes as welcome news as local jurisdictions and governments worldwide seek to establish policies which would enforce mandatory vaccinations in order for citizens to participate fully in society. Many have wondered if perhaps governments and Big Pharma have an agenda to push the vaccine while eliminating cheaper, more effective ways of treating the coronavirus. . . . ” the study’s authors found large, statistically significant reductions in mortality and recovery time in addition to “significantly reduced risks of contracting COVID-19 with the regular use of ivermectin.” […] According to the authors, the efficacy of ivermectin in COVID-19 is supported by the following: . . .
