Carolyn Glick contributor to Jewish News Syndicate calls out the Biden administration: The rupture in ties isn’t about how best to achieve peace between Israel and the Palestinians. It is about prejudice against Jews.

Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) calls out Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) for referring to Israeli airstrikes in Gaza as acts of terrorism: Why is a Member of Congress acting as the press secretary for Hamas? Does Biden agree?

Julie Kelly contributor to American Greatness: The American public still doesn’t know exactly what happened on January 6—and it’s clear the government will use any means necessary to keep it that way.

Matt Walsh contributor to Daily Wire.com: It is good to keep things in perspective. You may believe that your life is difficult, but you should realize that there are people out there who face struggles and obstacles, hardship and persecution, far beyond what you have ever known or will ever experience. You have been through your own trials, perhaps, but at least life hasn’t been as hard on you as it has been on Michelle Obama. The former First Lady — who graduated from two Ivy League schools, became First Lady by the age of 45, and is now worth a combined $135 million along with her husband — has always been eager to talk about the many ways in which this country has oppressed her.

Sundance founder of The last Refuge speaking to the recent Biden/Carter meeting: Rising unemployment, massive inflation, “stagflation” and now gas lines… Looks like that recent meeting with Jimmy Carter was about recreating the 1970s.

Steve McCann contributor to American Thinker: Generations of evolving agnostic narcissists, without an overriding national cause to rally around, are espousing new and hither to unheard of “rights” as a substitute religion or recasting previously resolved issues, such as so-called “systemic racism” as insoluble.

Kelly: Why Is the Government Hiding January 6 Video Footage?
Joe Biden calls it the worst attack since the Civil War. Attorney General Merrick Garland compares it to the 1995 Oklahoma City bombing. The FBI is breaking down the doors of Iraq War veterans and small business owners who have no criminal records, and some are hauled off to rot in solitary confinement in a fetid D.C. jail, for their involvement in the alleged travesty. […] . . . have we seen a full and fair depiction of exactly what happened that day? The answer, as evidenced by an ongoing coverup by the U.S. Capitol Police and the Justice Department, clearly is no. […] . . .thousands of hours of real-time footage is in the hands of the Capitol Police—and that agency, along with government lawyers and federal judges, is using every legal trick possible to keep the trove hidden from the public even as clips are presented in court as evidence against hundreds of January 6 defendants. […] There’s only one reason why the Justice Department wants to keep the footage under seal: it . . .

Hemingway: Mollie Hemingway Is Writing The 2020 Election Book The Media Don’t Want You To Read
If questioning the results of a presidential election were a crime, as many have asserted in the wake of the controversial 2020 election and its aftermath, nearly the entire Democratic Party and media establishment would have been incarcerated for their rhetoric following the 2016 election. In fact, the last time they accepted the legitimacy of a presidential election they lost was in 1988. […] Rather than accept that Trump won and Clinton lost, the political and media establishments desperately sought to explain away Trump’s victory. What they settled on was a destructive conspiracy theory that crippled the government, empowered America’s adversaries, and illegally targeted innocent private citizens whose only crime was not supporting Hillary Clinton. […] And then 2020 happened. With the snap of their fingers, America’s electoral system went from irredeemably corrupt and broken in 2016 to unquestionably safe in 2020. Voting methods that were allegedly used to steal elections in 2004 and 2016 suddenly became sacrosanct and impenetrable in 2020. Whereas so-called election experts repeatedly warned pre-2020 about the pitfalls of electronic voting and widespread mail-in balloting, by November of 2020, any discussion about the vulnerabilities of those methods was declared to be verboten.

Black: Liz Cheney and the ‘Big Lie’
No one outside of Wyoming, except Peggy Noonan, cares a whit about Liz Cheney. The question is whether the NeverTrumpers, abetted by the Democrats, can kill Trump’s chances of a political resurrection. Success will be impossible unless they can both stamp out the belief of approximately half the voters that 2020 was a tainted election, and keep alive the fiction that Trump was actively promoting an insurrection on January 6. […] This is bunk and the cornerstone of what is really the Big Lie—the Trump-haters’ theory that he is just a hooligan and a sore loser of a fair election. In truth, the only reason that has any traction at all is due to the failure of the judiciary to address the constitutional and electoral controversies Trump raised. Trump warned of the dangers of ballot harvesting, but his campaign wasn’t ready on the ground or in the courts to tackle the issue when it presented itself. And he didn’t help his case with his nonsense about having won the popular vote. In these respects, he is not blameless. Yet we are endlessly told about the “86 cases” thrown out of court which, because of that fact alone, debunk Trump. This is part of the real falsehood: . . . .[…] There were a lot of other improprieties in the 2020 election; if 42,000 votes for Biden in three states had shifted to Trump, he would have been reelected. These are the indisputable facts and the Democratic propaganda machine will not succeed in exterminating the truth which is that 2020 was rivaled only by 1876 as the most dubious presidential election result in the country’s history. Here, the thieves are the self-righteous. Trump isn’t the problem, his enemies are.

Sen. Cruz: ‘Corrupt Politicians Act’ Would Strike Down States’ Voter Integrity Laws, Including ID Requirements
The U.S. Senate on this Tuesday will take up a bill that Democrats call the “for the people act,” and Republicans call “the corrupt politicians act.” HR-1, or S-1 in the Senate, would eliminate state voter ID laws, expand universal mail-in balloting and ballot harvesting, among other provisions to exert federal control over elections that are run by the individual states. Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) said he considers S-1 “the single most dangerous piece of legislation before the United States Congress.”

Saavedra: Ron DeSantis Signs Bill Banning Local Governments From Implementing Their Own Gun Control Laws
DeSantis signed the bill on Friday, but news of its signing broke on Monday. The bill expands on an existing law in the state that restricts local governments from enacting their own gun control regulations. “The bill, which will take effect July 1, will broaden a 2011 law that can make local governments pay as much as $100,000 in damages if they are sued for imposing gun regulations,” Sun Sentinel reported. “DeSantis signed the bill about a month after a panel of the 1st District Court of Appeal upheld the 2011 law that threatens penalties if cities and counties approve gun regulations.”

Glick: The US has plunged its relations with Israel into crisis
In light of the reactions from Washington to the Hamas- and Fatah-inspired Arab violence in Jerusalem, it is hard to see how Israel will be able to maintain a constructive dialogue about its relations with the Palestinians with the Biden administration or more broadly, with the Democrat Party. Indeed, the reactions coming out of Washington to the Arab violence in Jerusalem indicate that Israel will be hard-pressed to conduct a constructive dialogue with Washington about anything, and that this will be the case regardless of who forms the next Israeli government. On Saturday, Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.) published a shocking post on her Twitter account in response to the Arab riots in Jerusalem’s Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood, which started in earnest last Thursday. The progressive powerhouse wrote . . . Warren’s statement isn’t a demand for justice for Arabs. It is a demand for injustice for Jews.

Klein: Biden Administration Supports Globalist Version of Multilateralism at the UN
U.S. Secretary of State Antony J. Blinken delivered virtual remarks on May 7th at the United Nations Security Council Open Debate on Multilateralism. The meeting was chaired by Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi on behalf of China, which is this month’s president of the Security Council. Blinken spewed forth the same old same old Biden administration rhetoric about the critical importance of an international “rules-based order” and the administration’s commitment to multilateralism. Blinken criticized nations that he said violate the human rights of their own people and commit other transgressions against sovereign nations. Without naming Russia, China, or Iran specifically, Blinken said that the U.S. under Biden would push back against nations that break the international “rules-based order.” So far, the Biden administration has shown only fecklessness in its desire to be a full-fledged member of the globalist UN community.
Blinken delivered an apology of sorts in what was an obvious slap at the Trump administration and its America First policies. “I know that some of our actions in recent years have undermined the rules-based order and led others to question whether we are still committed to it,” he said. And then Blinken tried to show how different things will be with Joe Biden in the White House. That’s the problem.

Prager: Are We to Be the World’s Greatest Force for Good or Not?
America is going through convulsions that may destroy it as the country we and the world have known for more than two centuries. For all its flaws — virtually all of which were not unique to America but universal throughout human civilization — America has been regarded more than any other nation in modern times as a force for good in the world. […] Approximately 340,000 Africans came to America as slaves. But millions of Africans have come to America because they wanted to. To these millions and to many millions of Africans who have not been given visas to emigrate to America, America is the land of systemic opportunity, not systemic racism. The only people to deny these facts are America’s homegrown America-haters. They see America as a force of evil at home and abroad. […] I remember the shame I felt as an American when I saw crowds of Vietnamese who had helped America begging to be taken out of Vietnam along with American troops when the last American helicopters left Vietnam. And who were simply abandoned to their fate. Now America is poised to do in Afghanistan what it did then — abandon the people it defended to the Islamist sadists known as the Taliban. How many Afghan boys and women will be raped when we leave? How many Afghan men will be tortured to death? Only God knows. But you don’t have to be God to know that it will be a large number. So, why would we do such a thing — again? Three reasons are given.

Markay: China increases spending 500% to influence America
New foreign-agent filings are finally detailing a massive Beijing propaganda operation that’s fueled a sixfold increase in disclosed Chinese foreign influence efforts in the United States in recent years. Why it matters: Propaganda is central to China fulfilling its geopolitical aspirations, and its efforts to sow discord and disinformation in the U.S. have very real consequences for the American business, political and social climates. According to the Center for Responsive Politics, Chinese foreign agent spending has skyrocketed from just over $10 million in 2016 to nearly $64 million last year.

[…] As one of the various issues raised, the letter described China as the largest outside threat to the U.S. and called for . . . […] “Our Nation is in deep peril. We are in a fight for our survival as a Constitutional Republic like no other time since our founding in 1776. The conflict is between supporters of Socialism and Marxism vs. supporters of Constitutional freedom and liberty,” . . .

Piro: Biden HHS Rolls Back Religious Conscience Protections for Doctors
The Biden administration adopted a new rule Monday that could force Catholic hospitals, religious doctors, and other objectors to perform sex changes. The Department of Health and Human Services announced it will expand its definition of sex discrimination to include gender identity and sexual orientation, citing the Supreme Court’s controversial 2020 decision in Bostock v. Clayton County, which protected employees from discrimination on the basis of being gay or transgender. “The Supreme Court has made clear that people have a right not to be discriminated against on the basis of sex and receive equal treatment under the law, no matter their gender identity or sexual orientation,” Secretary of Health and Human Services Xavier Becerra said in a statement. “That’s why today HHS announced it will act on related reports of discrimination.” The new guidance from the Biden administration rolls back Trump administration guidelines that used biology to determine sex discrimination in an effort to protect the conscience rights of medical providers.

Davidson: Republicans Aren’t Obsessed With Critical Race Theory, White Democrats Are
Do Republicans have an “obsession” with or a “fixation” on critical race theory? The Atlantic’s Adam Harris sure thinks so. He penned an article last week explaining this supposed obsession, making note of various GOP bills in state legislatures and Congress that would prohibit the teaching of critical race theory in public schools, or bar government contractors from training that promotes “division between, resentment of, or social justice for” groups based on race, sex, or political affiliation, as one bill passed by the Arkansas legislature put it. “For Republicans,” wrote Harris, “the end goal of all these bills is clear: initiating another battle in the culture wars and holding on to some threadbare mythology of the nation that has been challenged in recent years.” The GOP, he adds, is “fixated” on nothing more than an “academic approach.” But critical race theory isn’t just an academic approach, and Republicans aren’t the ones who initiated this battle. They’re responding — rather mildly, given the stakes — to an aggressive, long-term campaign on the left to ratchet up racial tension, divide Americans by race, and insert frankly racist ideas into every facet of public life as part of a larger strategy to gain and wield political power.

McCann: The ‘Woke’ Follies
The genesis of this pretentious mindset is the insatiable need by many to find meaning and relevance in their apparently vacuous and cosseted lives. This is particularly true among many born between 1960 and 2000. Some years ago, I watched an excerpt of a panel discussion with a number of middle-aged professors at a prestigious Ivy League university. These academics were regaling the naïve and worshipful audience, overwhelmingly female, about the necessity of viewing the LGTBQ movement as this generation’s national civil rights battle (equivalent to the abolishing of slavery). The tirades against a racist and imbecilic patriarchy marinated in white privilege were incessant. These Leftists claimed that this privilege and imbecility required the immediate acceleration of the transformation of the United States into a socialist nirvana through any means that would ostracize, intimidate, and muzzle all who disagreed that these were “civil rights” worthy of national imposition. The adoring and reverential expressions on the faces of the young women and the few men in the audience was priceless. It was as if they had suddenly discovered meaning and purpose in their apparently meaningless and sheltered lives. […] So, here are the “rights” now defined as equivalent to the abolition of slavery, women’s suffrage, and the elimination of institutionalized racism and, if not enacted, the rationale for the unquestioned necessity of instituting a one-party socialist oligarchy: A. Many are choosing to be identified and defined by what they do in their bedroom. By doing so a new civil right is triggered that includes government sanctioned preferential treatment and legal preferred status except for those with the wrong political affiliation and race as per item (D) below. B. . . . .

O’Connell Woke: Fake Religion Decimates American Society
Woke Sin: ‘Sin’ to the Woke means to be unaware, and therefore mindlessly carrying out senseless acts of cultural ignorance and personal reprobation. In this sense, Woke is Gnostic—saving by education, versus faith. As Michael Vlahos writes, “the Church of Woke is pledged to the destruction of Racism, Patriarchy, and Heteronormativity.” So defending trans and minorities while attacking traditional culture are the ‘marching orders’ the Woke carry. That they do so with an angry sense of holy mission which appals many average citizens. A truly oddball aspect of the Woke is they seem to believe they are on a divine mission, despite typically being secular atheists. Here, one cannot avoid this fact—Woke own a Cargo Cult approach to the sacred—by assuming a religious format without any spiritual depth. Assuming the form of priests while bedeviling others. Biblical sin is deviation from God’s will, but defeated by Christ on the cross. Woke Punishment: Everyone knows how the Woke pursue those they dislike.

Wade: Origin of Covid — Following the Clues
The Covid-19 pandemic has disrupted lives the world over for more than a year. Its death toll will soon reach three million people. Yet the origin of pandemic remains uncertain: the political agendas of governments and scientists have generated thick clouds of obfuscation, which the mainstream press seems helpless to dispel. In what follows I will sort through the available scientific facts, which hold many clues as to what happened, and provide readers with the evidence to make their own judgments. I will then try to assess the complex issue of blame, which starts with, but extends far beyond, the government of China. […] 4. The US Role in Funding the Wuhan Institute of Virology […] The responsibility of the NIAID and NIH is even more acute because for the first three years of the grant to EcoHealth Alliance there was a moratorium on funding gain-of-function research. Why didn’t the two agencies therefore halt the Federal funding as apparently required to do so by law? Because someone wrote a loophole into the moratorium. The moratorium specifically barred funding any gain-of-function research that increased the pathogenicity of the flu, MERS or SARS viruses. But then a footnote on p.2 of the moratorium document states that “An exception from the research pause may be obtained if the head of the USG funding agency determines that the research is urgently necessary to protect the public health or national security.” This seems to mean that either the director of the NIAID, Dr. Anthony Fauci, or the director of the NIH, Dr. Francis Collins, or maybe both, would have invoked the footnote in order to keep the money flowing to Dr. Shi’s gain-of-function research. […] According to Dr. Ebright, both Dr. Collins and Dr. Fauci “have declined to flag and forward proposals for risk-benefit review, thereby nullifying the P3CO Framework.”
In his view, the two officials, in dealing with the moratorium and the ensuing reporting system, “have systematically thwarted efforts by the White House, the Congress, scientists, and science policy specialists to regulate GoF [gain-of-function] research of concern.”

Kotkin: America’s Post-Pandemic Geography
Even as vaccination increases across the United States and an end to the tragedy of the Covid-19 pandemic seems in sight, the economic, fiscal, political, and geographic fallout from the virus cannot be overstated: a massive public health crisis that left more than half a million Americans dead, an economic catastrophe that caused record unemployment and small-business closures, and a seismic political event that surely helped tip the presidential election. The pandemic will pass, and the economy will revive, as it is already doing. But in geographic terms, today’s Covid-precipitated crises may well prove to be the most transformative event that America has experienced since the great migration to the suburbs after World War II. After hitting record lows, mobility is up as a result of the pandemic. Between 14 million and 23 million Americans say that they are likely to move as a result of their ability to work remotely, according to research by economist Adam Ozimek. These geographic shifts are even more critical because they point in many directions and represent less a fundamental break with the past and more an acceleration of changes already under way in how we live and work.

Saavedra: ISRAEL STRIKES BACK: Military Strikes 130+ Palestinian Terrorist Targets In Response To Rocket Attacks
“According to the Israel Defense Forces, over 200 rockets and mortar shells were fired from the Gaza Strip toward Israel from 6 p.m. Monday to 6 a.m. Tuesday, dozens of which were intercepted by Iron Dome missile defense batteries,” The Times Of Israel reported. “The military said the Iron Dome had a successful interception rate of over 90 percent of projectiles heading toward populated areas.” […] The IDF released the following statement about their military operations against the terrorists: . .
